Rate this book
Badass Princess meets Rookie Criminal Investigator…

Two different worlds – one unique connection – a whole lot of madness.

After being held prisoner most of her life, Makoto Heart is now free and currently staying in Realm Five, Minato. So, when her five knights surprise her with a trip to Realm Six, Earthala, she’s beyond excited to see what the hype is all about. Having no interactions with humans, she prays to the Starlight gods that everything goes smoothly – especially with a certain orange haired female and her group of criminal investigators.

Scarlet Sinclair has only had one real friend her entire adult life – which is one more than she had as a child – because no one wants to be friends with the crazy girl who fainted all the time and wore gloves year-round. When she finds out Junho’s friend Marcus is returning to Earthala and bringing with him his friends and one very special blue-eyed brunette, she’s intrigued.

None of them could have ever expected the car chases, mall fights, or sleepwalking adventures that would follow. Makoto and Scarlett are in for an eventful five days as their worlds clash on Earthala soil.

Recommended for 18+ audience, containing mature sexual content, violence and strong language.

Badass Princess meets Rookie Criminal Investigator… Love this line! This is the vacation every Visionary and Starlight reader has been waiting for! Makoto's Star Knights are taking her to Earthala to meet Marcus's friend Junho, his girlfriend Scarlet, and the rest of Team Seven. Mako is a bundle of nerves looking forward to seeing the new realm and desperately wanting to make a new girlfriend. Scarlet is anxiously eager to meet the girl she has heard so much about from Marcus. She too would like another girlfriend. Neither they, nor their guys could ever imagine the impact caused by these two meeting; sleepwalking escapades, dessert and amusement park competitions, car chases, milk and "milk" mishaps, and mall fights. Both of these girls have a nose for trouble but together it's nearly non-stop pandemonium! This is a friendship that can outshine the sun.

I LOVED every second of this book! I am now addicted to these two besties. There was so much story packed into the pages. While forming a friendship and sharing confidences, these two faced danger and took down bad guys. They packed so many fun times into the week. Their guys and spirits all got spotlighted and relationships strengthened. We found out more about both groups. Plus, we got to see the relationship between Nightmare and Moonlight. Beyond adorable! Whether it involved a unicorn or whale, an unexpected Mako moment, a onesie, the hysterical spirit dialogue, one on one time between the girls or one of the girls and one of her guys this book is a feel-good read. I laughed, I got the warm fuzzies. There is value in this. Mako is a special character. She has faced the worst and survived. Now she has found a rare happiness. Her blend of innocence and pure joy, her quirkiness and inner beauty create one of my favorite characters ever. She could be broken and bitter, instead, she shines. She encourages love. Mako and Scarlet coming together as fast friends are so fitting. Two unique women with so many areas in common. Thank the stars that their worlds came together!

I look forward to the continuing shenanigans of Mako and Scar and the continuing exasperation of their guys! Luckily we have Valentine's and St Patrick's Day to look forward to!!! Then there's the 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving and I am certain other realms have Holidays too. We don't have to stick only to Earthala. There's a wealth of cross-over possibility. Don't even get me started about adding a certain lion shifter and a magnificent unicorn shifter.

This book is the first in a cross-over series. This pulls the main characters from the Starlight Gods series and the Visionary Investigator/PINC series together. The Starlight Gods series include Makoto and her star knights (Ryder, Daniel, Kai, Elias, and Marcus). The Visionary Investigator team includes Scarlet and the guys on her investigative team (Jaxson, Christian, Michael, Junho, and Ethan).

I'll be the first to admit, keeping up with that many characters and who has what powers and which guy is with which girl is not easy. Yumo does a pretty good job of keeping things straight. But I did find myself having to flip back pages a few times to see if we were talking about Elias (Mako's fairy shifter knight) or Ethan (Scarlet's fairy shifter boyfriend). Thankfully the powers are relatively the same. Though, even as I type this, I'm second guessing if those are the right character names...

Like I said, not the easiest to keep up with. BUT, the story is still very fun and it's really great to see Scarlet and Mako's characters getting friends outside of their relationships with their guys (though, Scar does have Cece). Mako had been relatively sheltered/isolated until this friendship built. It's something that bothers me in other romance novels, but it made perfect sense for Mako's character given her background.

On a related note, I do think reading the Starlight Gods and Visionary Investigator series (at least the first in each) before reading this crossover. I think a LOT would be confusing without at least that introduction.

Compared to each of those series, this crossover didn't have the same level of steam. But it worked with the story, because both groups were constantly trying to spend time with each other and get to know each other. It was nice to get to see each MC thru the eyes of the other. Makoto and her idiosyncrasies are seen as cute by Scarlet and her guys. Scarlet is seen as sweet and charming (if not a little too encouraging to Mako) by her star knights.

Can't wait to see what this group gets into next.

This book was cuteness overload!
I finished Visionary New Years yesterday and was excited to received the ARC for this book 1 hour later! The writing style is different so it took me a bit to get used to but now it's so endearing and really contributes to getting a sense of Scarlet's and Makoto's energetic personalities.

Visionary x Starlight is written in the POV of both Scarlet and Makoto and as such we get a sense of their complementary personalities as they make mischief much to the guys' chagrin.
The overall sense we get is that they're two women who are individually badass but also protected and cherished by the men. We see the intense love that each guy has for Scar and Mako as they move heaven and earth to aid their girls and ensure they stay safe. I want to see more of Daniel! He intrigues me and I love Michael so I want to see how he compares.
I love the dynamic between Scarlet and Makoto and I think that they complement each other in a more exciting way than Scarlet with Cece.
There were so many cute moments such as Mako with her chocolate milk and Baileys as well as their addictions to whales and unicorns. They're both such unapologetic girly girls and I love it! They seem to both be really privileged but at the same time have very dark pasts which makes you really happy for their happiness. If you want a romantic novel, this isn't it. Yes there's steam but it largely focuses on their shenanigans!

This was my first exposure to Mako as I haven't read the Starlight Gods series. I would recommend reading those first as there were a few bits where I was slightly confused. However, I don't feel that it's strictly necessary because I was still able to follow the story as I discovered details about the different realms as Scarlet did.

If you haven't read this series, yet. Or if it has been a while. I suggest you read Dark Wish, Tainted Rose and Visionary Inspector. Keep in mind this is a two separate series cross-over. First series is Starlight gods and the second is Paranormal, Inc. If you have read the above mentioned books then you are salivating for this cross-over.

If you are like me and a huge fan you should realize this is going to be OVERLOADED with cuteness, milk, and unicorn! Don't worry though because where ever Makato and Scarlett go mischief and mayhem are sure to follow. Hopefully they don't end up destroying too much along their way.

If you have read the books listed above then good news. Many hints and questions are answered. What happened on the bike? Whose fault was it really? What happens when Makato drinks alcohol the first time and how does that happen?

There may be hints to future novels to come so if you are reading the series make sure you read this one!

Super funny story.

Makoto’s Star Knights treat her to a trip to Earthala and she will get to meet Scarlett, Junho’s girlfriend.
Mako worries that Scar will think she is weird, but when they finally meet, its friendship at first sight.
Both are magnets for trouble, have an unhealthy obsession with unusual creatures, and share their love with multiple men.

This is a super fun crossover story between Yumo’s Paranormal INC series and Starlight Gods series.
Though it isn’t the first to be released with these characters, this is their first official meeting.

Both girls are absolutely hilarious separately but together they are comedic gold.
I love how they interact with one another.

I look forward to the trouble they will cause together in the future.

I highly recommend both of these series, though I suggest reading them in chronological order instead of by their release dates
Doing so will make more sense.

This is a meeting of two series by Yumoyori Wilson, with Mako from Starlight Gods Series meeting Scar from the visionary investigator series! I really enjoyed the connection between Mako and Scar and I love how they totally understand each other from the very beginning. Initially I was a bit confused where this book fit in with both the series but once I got into the book I really enjoyed it. Personally I would have like a bit more of the story from Scar and her guys POV as I felt that Mako and her knights were highlighted a bit more and I wanted a bit more of the sassy Scar that we know and love from her series!! A great thing about this book was reading both ladies have that much needed one on one time with their guys and in this book we get to know some of the guys on a deeper level. We also get to learn more about what power both ladies have and how well they all work together! Can’t wait for the next book, not only a mashup book but also books in the individual series.

I enjoyed Mako and Scar meeting in this first book of the Earthala series! I like that Yumo gives herself an avenue to have more fun and 1-1 time with the MCs from her two series and their harems. The other books are more serious and have a continuous plot, where this series brings them together to have fun and a different plot (from the main series). I really enjoyed seeing both MCs kick ass in this book and we got to see more of Scar and her spirits (since we were only just introduced to them in Visionary Investigator). I can't wait to learn more about the guys and their spirits and seeing the MCs have some fun girl time and dates with the guys.

In honesty, I think I like Scar better as an MC but it would totally be a tie for which harem was more my favorite. I think I would choose both haha. Can't wait to read more from Yumo, anything she writes is amazing and is a one click for me.

I love Mako, I love Scar, and together they are amazing!

Mako’s unicorn obsession is awesome. (I’m still trying to find myself a unicorn onesie. *hehe*)

Some of my favorite parts?

Operation - Make Ryder Love onesies.
The milk scene where she shows Ethan what’s what. 😂
The whole Bailey’s scene but especially when Scar says ; “Twenty minutes...what’s the worst that can happen?” Yeah you never say that...😂😂
Disney Monopoly! ❤️
And the stalkers looking at the Ladies Sports Bras.

This story was lighthearted & funny. I liked how they met and seeing some background between the guys knowing each other.

I also enjoyed learning a bit more about the Dark Fairies.

Can’t wait till the next book in the series!

What happens when Mako from the Starlight series and Scarlet from the Paranormal INC series finally meet? As you can guess, hilarity, impossible situations, and life threatening events occur. Mako and Scarlet are an enigma individually but together, they're explosive...some times literally!

The only problem I have with this book is in relation to the other books in both series. The time line of events compared to other books is confusing. The events in this book happen before some of the other books in the series. It's weird to read about them discussing Christmas plans when I've already read the book where Christmas happens.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend this to anyone who wants to cry from laughter!

Great crossover

This story is the meeting of Mako (from the Starlight Gods series) and Scarlet (from the Paranormal INC series). I would recommend reading the books from those series first, as there are a lot of characters, and it will give you a better understanding of the relationships, plus they are great stories.

I loved seeing Mako and Scarlet meet and interact, and the Bailey’s seen was awesome. Between Mako and Scarlet, there is no way there couldn’t be trouble :) but they handled it in the usual awesome way. I am looking forward to the next story - in both series :)

So this book is an astounding cross-over book for the starlight Gods series and Paranormal, Inc. For myself if was confusing at first because I haven't read the Paranormal, Inc series yet. That being the case, I still very much enjoyed this book and it makes me want to read the Paranormal, Inc series that much more! I know that I will also go back and read this after I have read both series completely because I believe it holds numerous answers the books would have ended with.

This book was full of sweet times and hot times and funny times. I don't know what more a reader could have asked for honestly.

Overall Yumo has produced yet another amazing story!

Amazing!! This book was what all Starlight God readers were waiting for. The infamous vacation to Earthala. The dynamics between Mako and Scarlett was amazing and made for a lots of moments. We get to see two badass together that attract danger everywhere. We also get some downright adorable moments and a lot of hilarious ones. This book takes you on a emotional rollercoaster but with good emotions. Scarlett and Mako together makes the best friends dynamic I ever read in a book. I can't wait for more of this mashup!

Loved it...

To be honest, the only reason I read this book is because when I stared book 2 of the Paranormal Investigation series this event had already happened and was mentioned in the first chapter. So I had to find out what happened. I'm glad I did. Mako is great. I haven't read her series yet but I'm going to after finishing the Paranormal Investigation series and the other 2 books in this series. I would totally recommend these three series to be read. Not sure which is to be read first but either way you'll enjoy the books.

Makoto and Scarlett together equals high adventure, big laughs, lots of excitement and a truckload of hot totty!

This fabulous story had me in hysterics, the humour is amazing, the Romance tender and sweet and Hugh excitement, I had trouble putting the book down and my only complaint is that it finished and I cannot read it for the first time again, this is definitely going in my favourites pile and I hope for more Scarlett/Makoto cross overs

I got this book around 9:30 pm and stayed up til midnight to finish it! I could not put it down. Trying to contain my laughter so I didn't wake up everyone was the most difficult thing! Finally having Mako and Scar's world combine led to an epic adventure! I was more than happy to be sucked into it and it just made want to do a re-read of all the books. If you haven't started this series go get Dark Wish now. I guarantee you won't regret it!

Mako+Scar=epic

Mako and Scarlett apart are amazing but together omg they have me cracking up. Mako with her cuteness and innocence and Scarlett with her quirkiness and sharp tongue make for an amazing duo. Add in Mako’s obsession with unicorns and Scarlett’s obsession with whales and you can’t help but crack up. I absolutely loved this book and going along with the adventures between the two

Love the Crossover!

This was a fun book to read! I really am liking the crossover of the 2 series - it was also nice to go backwards in time and fill in some gaps in the stories. I will now have to go back and read them in order. I will say I am ready to get back to the individual series and see what happens when Mako gets to Heila and the next adventure for Scar and the Team. It is fun though getting these crossover stories in between!

5☆'s Great fun read!

This book was such a fun read. In this book you experience how Mako & Scarlets' friendship came to be. They make the most of their trip with many outings to show Mako & her guys around and of course Mako &Scar have a few crazy adventures and drive their guys a tad crazy. This was a great addition to the Starlight & Visionary series.

Best of both worlds

If you have read the other two series, paranormal Inc and starlight Gods, then you know we take a small step back in time here. We get to go back and see everything that happened when Mako and Scar first meet. So all those questions about what happened when and what are the talking about, we get those answers. As always it was a good, fun, intense story.

Mako and Scar are two funny, unique and lovable characters. Put them together in a room and you will get total chaos or what they would call a party. In this book our two main characters get to spend some quality time with their boys and each other. You have to read this book to see what trouble they get into and how much fun Erthala really is.

This book was such a great read! I love reading crossover stories like this, where two awesome characters, like Mako and Scarlet, meet. I feel that in this book you get a wider view of the characters, seeing different sides and also seeing a great friendship develop between these two characters. Don’t forget the steamy scenes with the girls and their guys! Wow!
