A trio of stories involving women that get aroused from being treated roughly. Not my cup of tea.

These stories have deep feelings and deep emotions from the past. All three are excellent reads.
1. Dare to Surrender.
This is the story of Gabriel & Isabelle. Gabriel is a businessman who owns hotels and clubs. Isabelle just left her boyfriend, who she found out was cheating on her, and is responsible for her poor self-esteem. They've met through functions that were both at when she was with her ex-boyfriend, and it was an instant attraction for him and for her. Now they meet again at the police station where Gabriel's brother, Decklan, works. In fact, he is the one who brought her in on bogus charges from her ex. They both want control of their own lives. Isabelle is striving for that and wants to be on her own to explore that. Certain things play with each of their emotions. I just love Carly's books. She is a well written author. Looking forward to the second book in this series.
2. Dare to Submit.
This is the story of Decklan & Amanda. Decklan is a police officer. Amanda works for her best friend, Brad, in a tech company as his personal assistant. Amanda is very insecure due to her mother. They both swear they can't get into a relationship, but for different reasons. Decklan and Amanda meet at a BDSM club. She lives out of town, but visits the club a couple of times a month. They've been eyeing each other for months. They spend one night together and she leaves before he wakes up. It's a month before he sees her again. A few things happen and he realizes he wants more from her. Honesty is a big factor in their relationship. This story grips you from the beginning until the end. Looking forward to Book 3.
3. Dare to Seduce.
This is the story of Max & Lucy. Knowing each other for years, Max is the best friend of Decklan, brother to Lucy. He didn't think to pursue Lucy because he thought Decklan wouldn't approve, or Gabriel, Decklan's brother. They give him the okay, knowing what he feels for Lucy. They are at the same function, but she is with her boyfriend. Lucy tends to pick men who she won't feel much for. She has always had feelings for Max, but she has buried them, basically for a specific reason. Now that he pursued her at this function, she doesn't know what to do. Lucy has extreme rooted issues stemming from the loss of her parents. This is a story about hiding your feelings deep, so you don't feel at all. You feel right along with both characters. Well done Carly. I look forward to your new Dare Series.

I love the Eden series and I love Carly so I was so excited when I heard she'd be writing a book for the Eden series. Gabe he's just so damn sexy, "you look good cuffed," he said in a deliciously low voice." He's fiercely protective, "any man who lets a woman leave his home in the dead of night with nothing but the clothes on her back, a small stack of bills, and no cell phone deserves it." He cocked an eyebrow my way, that possessiveness there in his blue-black gaze. "That he did it to you merely compounds his error." He also has that naughty mouth that is seriously sexy, "a seductive smile tipped his lips, making it seem like he was far from disinterested. "I want to eff you, kitten, but when I do, it won't be about gratitude. And it will be on my terms." And he is such an honorable man sometimes, "not coming anywhere but inside you," he muttered, backing me into the wall. He lifted my short robe and slammed into me on a rough groan, filling me completely." And if you need more reasons to love Gabriel Dare then y'all are just crazy you don't need more it's Gabriel Dare.

Decklan is a no nonsense type of boy, "he rested their joined hands on the bar. "I'll start with what I don't want. No protocol. No games. Just hot, sweaty sex," he told her, his c*** tenting his dark jeans at the notion of sliding into her tight, wet sheath." He's such an encouraging boy as well, "yes," he said through clenched teeth. "That's it. Ride me," he whispered darkly in her ear. "Just like that horse you want to ride. Take what you need." He likes to make sure his girl knows when she has his full attention, "I'm up," he said without moving. His erection twitched against his stomach." Amanda loves to tease her man and honestly I doubt he minds, "sparks flew directly to his groin. "You're playing with fire, you know. We're in public. And you have more issues with public displays than I do." Another book that I loved from Carly.

Lucy sure knows how to make her man react, “you, Max .” She threaded her fingers through his hair, her nails scraping along his scalp. He barely managed to stifle a groan. “While we’re here, I’m yours.” I loved this book Max was attentive, sexy and entertaining

The full trilogy together. This includes Dare to Surrender, Dare to Submit and Dare to Seduce. Each can be read as a stand-alone book, but the stories are about two brothers and a sister in the Dare family who tragically lost their parents early in life in a car accident.
In Dare to Surrender, Isabelle is leaving her cheating fiance a month before the wedding. He has her arrested for stealing the car he gifted to her. Gabe happens to be at the police station to see his brother (the arresting officer) and offers Isabelle a ride and a safe place to stay. They have noticed each other in the past at social functions, but never acted on their attraction. Do they ever act on it now!
Dare to Submit has Amanda who is administrative assistant and fake girlfriend to her best friend, who is really gay but in the closet due to his Dad's conservative political career. She gets what she needs at a BDSM club across the country. Decklan is a police officer by day but wants all the control in the bedroom with no risk or emotions. They meet at the same club, agree to fun, sexy times with no strings. The only problem? Lots of feelings get involved and Decklan doesn't know Amanda's secret.
Max grew up next door to the Dare family. He was best friends with Gabe and Decklan and Lucy tagged along with them. Gabe is no exception, and Isabelle is having a hard time accepting Gabe's bossy ways as she struggles to stand on her own two feet, after just extricating herself from a difficult relationship and escaping her abusive ex-boyfriend ...
Their story is a deliciously sexy and sizzling hot read in this new series in the Dare universe.

Decklan and Amanda are great characters, profound and multi-layered personalities. Their attraction is palpable and threatened to set my Kindle on fire. Their backstory is moving, tinged with loss and abandonment ...
Another gripping novel in this series and in the Dare universe.

Dare to Seduce is another very emotional read. Both protagonists deal with their fear of loss and abandonment, albeit at different stages.
While Lucy is a tough cookie on the outside, she is dealing with a lot of emotional baggage on the inside. The same applies to Max. But since he's a tad older and has worked through most of his issues, he tries to support Lucy while she deals with hers.
This book is another page-turner in this series, one that I couldn't put down, not least because of the suspense, as Ms. Phillips has added a touch of whodunit to her twisted plot ...
I loved this book.

I absolutely FLOVED this 3 book compilation
I loved being able to read from one book to the next seamlessly - in this compilation!! The NY Dares - 2 brothers and 1 sister are awesome!!! Gabe, Decklan, and Lily are 3 siblings that tragically lost their parents following Gabe’s college graduation. The parents lost their lives in an auto accident - which left the three to fend for themselves. Gabe, the oldest, stepped up and became a parent to the younger two. Each one’s story of finding love held an element of how the loss of their parents caused them difficulties with their own love lives. Thankfully, they each find their way to a HEA in the end! Well written as always; clear, concise plots; well defined characters; and as mentioned previously - HEA!!! Thank you, Ms. Phillips. A job well done!!

Not my cup of tea
The books were well written, but I'm not into bondage or domination, so I didn't enjoy reading the sex scenes. As a matter of fact, I didn't complete the books. I also forgot that I had picked them up before and couldn't complete them. I recommend these books to anyone who enjoys BDSM.
The last book, Lucy Dare's story made me want to learn more about Sebastian Del Torro, the celebrity chef.

This was a good series filled with drama, angst, and tons of passion. The Dare family was wrought with pain and each member found people with their own issues as well as sensitivity to the Dare feelings. The narration was great but wouldve been bettwr with a male counterpart, and the stprylines were believable.

An amazing series. Could not put it down. The only way to read all of the books in a series is in a boxed set. It was emotional but with lots of love and angst. Hot and steamy too. Can't wait for the next instalment of Dares.

Good stories but the whole "I'm scared of love because of my childhood" was overdone. Not only the main characters but the love interest also got to be a bit much. I did like the Dares as a family though.

Lots of good in each of the books. Many lessons to take away: How to face your past. How to lean into to those who love you. The importance of communication. Finding yourself before getting into a relationship.

This is a great box set stories about Two brothers and a sister all striving tobe the best they can be and remaining a close family. The three books are romantic each having their own story and well worth reading
