He later tied Galactic Empire and the Robot into the same universe as his most famous series to create a unified "future history" for his stories much like those that Heinlein pioneered and Cordwainer Smith and Poul Anderson previously produced. He penned "Nightfall," voted in 1964 as the best short story of all time; many persons still honor this title. He also produced well mysteries, fantasy, and a great quantity of nonfiction. Asimov used Paul French, the pen name, for the Lucky Starr, series of juvenile novels.
Most books of Asimov in a historical way go as far back to a time with possible question or concept at its simplest stage. He often provides and mentions well nationalities, birth, and death dates for persons and etymologies and pronunciation guides for technical terms. Guide to Science, the tripartite set Understanding Physics, and Chronology of Science and Discovery exemplify these books.
Asimov, a long-time member, reluctantly served as vice president of Mensa international and described some members of that organization as "brain-proud and aggressive about their IQs." He took more pleasure as president of the humanist association. The asteroid 5020 Asimov, the magazine Asimov's Science Fiction, an elementary school in Brooklyn in New York, and two different awards honor his name.

آیزاک آسیموف (به روسی Исаак Юдович Озимов ) (۲ ژانویه ۱۹۲۰ - ۶ آوریل ۱۹۹۲) نویسندهٔ آمریکایی روسی تبار گونههای علمی، علمی-تخیلی، خیالپردازی، وحشت و دکتر در بیوشیمی بود. شهرت اصلی او بیشتر به خاطر سری بنیاد (در ایران سری امپراتوری کهکشانی) است. قوانین سهگانهٔ رباتیک وی از شهرت جهانی برخوردار است و دایرهالمعارف بریتانیکا وی را واضع واژه رباتیک در زبان انگلیسی میشناسد. وی بیش از ۵۰۰ عنوان کتاب در تمام دستههای اصلی ردهبندی دیوی (به جز فلسفه) دارد و سیارک آسیموف ۵۰۲۰ به افتخار وی نامگذاری شدهاست. آسیموف، کلارک و هاینلاین به عنوان سه نویسندهٔ بزرگ گونهٔ علمی-تخیلی شناخته میشوند.
آثار: پرکاری آسیموف حیرت آور است. وی نزدیک به ۵۰۰ کتاب در دامنه گستردهای از موضوعات، از کتابهای کودکان گرفته تا کتابهای درسی ئ دانشگاهی نوشتهاست. بیشترین شهرت وی شاید به خاطر داستانهای علمی - تخیلی بود و نقش پیشتازانه او در بالا بردن داستانهای علمی - تخیلی از سطح مجلات بیژرفا به سطح فکری مربوط به جامعهشناسی و تاریخ و ریاضیات و علم باشد. آسیموف همچنین داستانهای اسرار گونه و معما گونه نیز نوشتهاست. از وی کتابهایی در نقد مسائل فیزیک، شیمی، زیست شناسی، اخترشناسی، طنز، شکسپیر، کتاب مقدس و موضوعات زیاد دیگر نیز چاپ شدهاست.

نمیدونم این این کار رو میشه تموم کردن کتاب گذاشت یا نه، ولی از نظر خودم هرچیزی که این کتاب میتونست برام داشته باشه رو خوندم. یعنی دو داستان ترجمه شده از آسیموف و نکات علمی ای که در پایانه ها اومده بود. هرچند اون داستان ها هم چندان جالب نبود و یا انتخاب خوبی نبودند، یا آسیموف در کتاب «دیگر روباتها» به نوشتن علمی-تخیلی عامه پسند رو آورده بود.
