I really enjoyed this book - or perhaps I enjoyed that I could read it. It doesn't really matter. This is a good book for early Italian learners. It used a lot of the words that you're learning anyways and helps you to recognize them out of a typical studying atmosphere.
I think this would also be something good to read and then return to several times. Right now I understand most, but not all of the book. I'd like to go back to in a few months when my Italian is even better and then start working on the questions in the back. Even though the book says its good for people with 500 words (I have about 1200) it depends which 500 words you know. Therefore I think that this is good for practice no matter what level you are.
This is a great book, funny, dynamic. There are some jokes with double-entendres. But one of the last sentences in the book fixes everything: The one who laughs last laughs
Ottimo libro! divertente, dinamico.
quite fun and easy to read, i will re-read it before I return to class so that i can remember everything properly and i can do the comprehension exercises (first book in italian yayyyy!!)
"Ride bene chi ride ultimo" Questo piccolo racconto é molto divertente e l'ho capito tutto.
Great book for learning Italian. It is easy to comprehend and follow along, very descriptive and teaches a lot of new words, Italian culture, sayings, and dialogue. The plot and character development is not the reason for recommending this read. What I enjoyed most was the fact that I was able to understand and keep up, learned something new in each chapter and completed the exercises at the end.
This was a decent book for beginner Italian. I did wish that the questions came after each chapter instead of being placed together at the end. This type of book layout always makes the questions feel disjointed from the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it was easy to read and retell in my Italian lessons. It's an excellent choice for Italian learners, especially those at an A1 level.
