Good Love #1

The V Card

Rate this book
A brand new sinfully sexy standalone romantic comedy from bestselling authors Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente!

When you think about how easy it is to lose keys, phones, sunglasses and your dignity on social media, you might figure it'd be a cinch for me to ditch my V Card.
You'd be wrong.
At 25, I run a successful business, live in a fantastic apartment, and have fabulous friends to go out with any night of the week. And yet I'm still a card-carrying member of a club I don't want to belong to anymore. Good thing I know just the man for the deflowering job—my brother’s business partner and best friend.
Graham Campbell is charming, smart, and, I’m told, oh-so-skilled in the sack. As long as I keep my eyes on the prize, there’s no way this pluck-the-flower project could possibly complicate matters.
***
Work and pleasure. As the CEO of a fast-growing company, I've been enjoying both to the fullest. What do I do when the board throws me for an unexpected loop so I can keep my business in my hands? I enlist the help of my best friend's little sister since she holds a big stake in the company. But then I learn there's another big stake she wants.
The one between my legs.
I can do this. Seven nights to teach her everything I know in the bedroom. There's no way I'll fall for her, even though she’s earning top grades in every single sinfully sexy lesson. And turns out I’m learning something too. The trouble is I don’t have the answer key to what to do when I fall hard for her.
And that throws a whole new hitch in my plans.

Where to begin? I'm a huge fan of both Blakely and Valente, so when I found they were collaborating on a book, I knew I had to have it.

When you have two authors who both have a love for writing sweet, spicy and a bit of sexy you get The V Card.

Here are my Top Five reasons I fell in love with CJ and Graham's journey:

1. Graham makes lingerie. And there is something sexy about a mam who makes things that make women feel sexy.
2. CJ, our virgin, wasn't afraid to go for what she wanted. Yes, she is a virgin. No spoiler, but what makes me like her is that she wanted her first time to mean something with someone who means something lol. I really can't phrase that any better. #SorryNotSorry
3. Stephen King...lol
4. So many cute, warm and fuzzy moments. The memories they have about her brother and his best friend, pulls at your heart.
5. Even though their initial coming together was based on CJ's '7-day lessons', you could immediately tell there was so much more to them. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite troupes.

The Narration
Sebastian York does a superb job as Graham. It is something about the way his tone works for this character that had me captivated. It was sexy, fun and a little dirty, but not too much. Just enough swag to keep a smile on your face. He also does a little accent for the landlord. Made me happy.

Andi Arndt, no surprise there knocks it out of the park. She has the best pacing and knows how to be in tune with the characters. It is like she digs deep down and taps into their hearts, mind and souls. She does this with CJ. I felt every emotion CJ expressed through Andi's performance.

I recommend The V Card if you want a cute and fun Rom-Com to add to your holiday listen list!

PS- Loved the diversity of the other characters.

The V Card is Ms. Blakely and Ms. Valente’s first story together. I didn’t know what to expect going in but I was extremely pleased with the outcome. These two ladies did a phenomenal job writing a charming and very addictive story. I couldn’t tell when Lauren or when Lili was writing the story, I’d love to know who wrote what since it’s definitely a story with perfectly smooth transitions from author to author.

The V Card is exactly what you think it might be about....one of my absolute favorite tropes!!! Graham Campbell runs a successful company on his own after his partner passes away. His partner has a beautiful sister named CJ. When CJ comes to help Graham with the company shareholders, she asks for a favor of her own. She wants to get rid of the wretched virginity she’s been stuck with for so long and needs someone to help with that. Will Graham rise to the occasion to help out a girl in need?

Find out all about it in The V Card when it releases. This is one funny, sexy and charming read. I bow down to Ms. Blakely and Ms. Valente, these two are a powerful duo!!! I hope to see more from these two ladies in the very near future. 5 wickedly fun stars!!!!

Ok, so seriously, what do you do when you hear two of your favorite authors are writing a book together. Together! You scream. You message them. You text your friends. I've been waiting for this for a long time. Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente are two of the most talented writers I've ever read. Add in what incredible women they are and it's a recipe for success. The V Card is the perfect mix of their rom/com laughs, blushing sexiness and loveable characters. It's a friends to lovers romance with a unique twist. CJ is almost twenty-six and she is in desperate need of losing her virginity and learn how to seduce a man. Her brother's best friend is the perfect candidate. She's comfortable with him, he's sexy, and he's a player. So, who better to teach her how to ways of seduction than the sexiest man in Manhattan. Graham is CEO of his own company and he needs help from CJ. When he approaches her he finds out that she wants something in return. Can he be CJ's sexspert? When their lessons are over can they remain friends? I loved this story. It's fun, sexy as sin, silly and full of heart. CJ and Graham learn things about themselves while learning what drives the other crazy. I loved watching their love story unfold, with is fun antics, witty banter and entertaining secondary characters. Overall, I laughed, cried, got hot and bothered and laughed more. I sighed and swooned at the end! I can't wait to see what else Lauren and Lili will come up with!

"I just want to be able to drive a man crazy. To please and satisfy him in every way."
My dick insists he and I could teach her how a real man treats a woman. But my dick isn't the best barometer. Dicks are notoriously untrustworthy.

I really did pick the best teacher in the enter history of the world.

5 SMOOCHES!

I’m a huge fan of both Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente, so when I first heard they were writing a book together, I was thrilled! Both of these authors have individually penned some of my favorite written romantic comedies, so I knew that this pairing would be magic, and I was not wrong. Blakely and Valente were completely in sync in their first collaboration, seamlessly blending their writing styles and transitioning imperceptibly between the two of them to craft a fantastically well written story. The V Card was entertaining, passionate, romantic and everything that I hoped for from a writing duo like Lili and Lauren.

I love the whole big brother’s best friend trope, so when I read the blurb and learned that was the direction that Blakely and Valente were heading with the story, I was eager to get my hands on it. Right out of the gate, they spun it on its head with a strong, smart and successful—albeit inexperienced—heroine. While she did have an adolescent crush on the hero in her teens, she wasn’t still sitting at home pining after him in her twenties. They were friends who had bonded over shared history and tragedy which made their relationship unique and special. So, when CJ concocted this tutorial plan, Graham was the natural choice, and she was comfortable enough to approach him with her proposal.

I loved Graham, especially the way he handled CJ and her surprise request. He was kind and gentle and handled her with so much care and respect. While it was CJ who may have asked Graham to be her teacher, it turned out that she had a thing or two to teach him as well. This was a couple I was rooting for from the start—they were perfect together. Their tutoring sessions may have begun with a no-strings-attached understanding and a deadline looming, it didn’t take long for either of them to fall fast and hard. I absolutely loved being inside Graham’s head, privy to his thoughts as he was experiencing feelings he never had before and then as realization dawned on what it was that he felt. For the reader, those reactions, emotions and contemplations felt very genuine and realistic, and that insight into Graham’s character was one of the things I loved most about this book.

When I crack open a romcom, I’m hoping for endearing characters and a tender yet passionate love story rich with romance and humor. The writing partnership of Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente delivered exactly that with a story that I consumed voraciously and made my heart soar happily as I smiled my way from cover-to-cover. This may have been their first collaboration, but I am praying to the romance novel gods that it is not their last. Sweet, swoony and so very sexy, The V Card by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente gets five smooches from me!

Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente deliver a fun, lighthearted and fan-yourself-worthy romance imbued with the effervescence of New York City. Graham Campbell lost his best friend and business partner in a tragic car accident two years ago, but he’s stayed connected with his friend’s little sister, CJ Murphy. They’ve built a loving, sibling-like relationship, and they adore each other. When CJ suddenly asks Graham to tutor her in lovemaking and divest her of her virginity, he’s utterly and completely shocked. The blinders are ripped away, and Graham suddenly sees her as the woman she is and realizes he’s incredibly attracted to her. But agreeing to her plan is not an easy decision for Graham, who worries he will inadvertently hurt her, but the optimistic and spunky CJ cleverly convinces him to set aside his concerns.

Once Graham is on board with Operation V Card, he’s wholeheartedly committed to being the very best teacher, ever. He thoughtfully and carefully seduces CJ to ensure she has the best experience possible, and he’s an irresistible, swoon-worthy teacher with a good heart. Their chemistry is scorching hot, and their sexual connection is potent and intoxicating. But trust and mutual admiration, fostered through years of friendship and strengthened by shared grief, is at the heart of their relationship, which makes their evolution as a couple feel natural, fated and sweet. Graham and CJ are extremely likable and complement each other perfectly, and The V Card is charming, feel-good entertainment punctuated by searing heat, heartwarming moments and the magic of New York City.

The V Card is a sexy as sin standalone by not one but two of my favorite authors. I have read every single word these amazing women have written and I will never get enough. When I found out that they were writing a book together I might have scared my children with my excitement. The synopsis kicks ass so I will make this fast.

Seven days. That is what she is asking for. Seven days of lessons in seduction. Sexy days to teach her to drive men wild. Of course within this seven days he would also help her toss out her V card. At twenty-five she was tired of carrying it around. And she didn’t want to just give it to anyone. She wanted a man who she trusts. A man who knows his way around a woman’s body. A man with skills. Her deceased brother’s best friend and business partner, Graham Campbell. CEO of Adored, a lingerie company. A man who knows exactly how to make a woman feel adored. Sexy. Wanted. She has never felt that way but the minute she sees his desire, she knows she assigned the perfect teacher.

Graham and CJ have a special kind of friendship. It grew over time but two years ago when her brother, Sean died it turned into more. He wants to protect her. To be there for her, always. They know their quirks. They just fit. But, Graham has never seen her as more than a friend until now. He always knew she was sweet, beautiful, independent, and intelligent but now...he sees other sides of her and he wants to discover more. Explore her. In every sense of the word. But, if Sean was here, would he give him his blessing? He never thought anyone was good enough for CJ and he doesn’t either. Not even himself but what if? What if he did this? Will it ruin their friendship or make them even closer?

I fucking knew I would love this book but damn...it was even more than I expected. The characters are amazing. I felt invested in them for the very beginning until the very end. CJ has that shy, sweet demeanor with a side of sexy and flirty without knowing it. But once she lets it out, it’s on and it’s down right hot. Graham might not date long term but he also isn’t a complete manwhore either. He is just too busy for all that he would have to put into a relationship so he doesn’t do it. But, reading about this one week...he is good. Real good. At everything. Together, they are not only sexy as fuck but sweet, and funny.

Overall...I loved every minute of it! The characters. The lessons. The storyline. The passion. The lingerie. The movie references. Stephen King. Everything! I cried more than once. Laughed out loud. Got all kinds of hot and bothered. Thank you, Lauren and Lili for putting your words together to create this book. I hope you two do it again. Pretty please.

P.S. Love his nickname for her. And yes...I know that wasn’t fast.

Quotes:

“I know exactly what you need, Graham.”
Damn, that sounded . . . naughty.

“So far, so good?”
“So, so good,” I assure him, my fingers driving into his thick hair as he drags his teeth across the skin at the base of my neck.
“Good. Because that’s what tonight is about. Making you feel good. You shouldn’t worry about pleasing any man until he’s proven he can please you.”

“You worked up is my favorite dirty dream.”

The V Card by Lauren Blakely
OMG!! I absolutely enjoyed reading this next book from Lauren Blakely. I ran through the full range of emotions as I navigated through the pages. Lauren has a unique writing style that provides just the right amount of detail in the description of the characters and their surroundings.
We meet Graham Campbell hunk extraordinaire who has built his company from the ground up with his best friend Sean. He loves to be unattached and his favorite pastime is women. Although when we first meet him he is on a sex-batical because women cause him not to concentrate. Huh don’t figure a sexy man that loves women and doesn’t have the ability to be committed to anything except the company. Not a surprise here.
Meet Caroline Jessica Murphy or CJ for short. She is a business owner and highly successful. She is 26 and is very inexperience in the men department. Sean was her brother and has known Graham since they were kids. He is always there for her when she needs him. The plan is to ask Graham to help her with a project, but she is afraid it could impact their friendship. What can possibly be the project, or better yet could it be bad enough to ruin a friendship?
There are many parts in this books that had this reader laughing aloud with my husband thinking I’m totally crazy. To bad I can’t say that for all the sections because there were tears shed that caused my chest to hurt. As I continued to trudge through the chapters the need to smack both characters upside the head was strong but in the end, it came out just fine.
If you are looking for an excellent read to run you through an emotional roller coaster and leaving you wishing, there was more then this is the book for you. As an avid Lauren Blakely reader this book is one of the best.

* 5 Swoony stars *

What do you get when you combine the best-selling talents of Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente in one book? A story that is worth 5 stars and then some, that's what! Blakely and Valente's writing styles are very similar and because of that, they compliment each other perfectly in The V Card, their newest collaboration. Written in a dual POV, The V Card is a friends-to-lovers story that will make you swoon and fall in love right along with the characters. It's funny, it's light (with a side of emotion), it's super steamy, it's romantic and it's a story you don't want to miss.

Let's talk characters.....CJ is beyond adorable! She's loyal, funny, independent, fun, sassy and successful. She has a commanding presence that sets people at ease and in real life, she'd certainly be someone I'd want to be best friends with. When she asks Graham, her deceased brother's best friend (who has become one of her closest friends since that tragedy) to teach her about sex and seduction while claiming her virginity, CJ becomes my hero! I mean, damn....I wish I had the balls to do that when I was single (then again, my best friend was most definitely no Graham Campbell)! She takes the opportunity she's always wanted and runs with it. Graham----this man is all sorts of swoony! Not only is he super sexy but he will literally make your heart beat faster with his words and actions. He's romantic, funny, successful, hot, loyal and all sorts of alpha in the bedroom. Seriously, this man makes panties drop with just one look! He treats CJ like the special gift that she is and it's his tender, sweet and romantic side that made me fall head over heels for him. He really is PERFECT!!!! These two characters have such a fun and easy partnership, one that readers will truly envy. Watching these friends fall in love will make you swoon something fierce!

The V Card is light on angst and heavy on sexy, rom-com fun. You'll laugh, you'll swoon, you'll fall in love and you'll love every single thing about this book written by two best-selling authors. It'll leave you with a smile on your face and a happy heart. Don't miss this 5-star collaboration because it's one of the BEST there is!

Wow...Graham is EVERYTHING!
He knows his way around a gal's body...he knows how to make a gal feel good...special...cared for.
CJ is looking for a teacher...one she trusts, one she cares for...one she needs to help her with a pretty big deal.
Graham is the prefect person to ask...I mean when a guy sends you sexy panties he is pretty much a keeper. I would be happy to let Graham teach me ALL his lessons. Lesson one was amazing...there was kisses, touching, mind blowing...(you gots to read to find out).
This story was amazing...Lauren and Lili done did it this time and I want more of CJ and Graham...I needs it!!!!
Gawd I was just thinking back to how good Graham makes it for CJ...how he treats her, how he touches her, how enjoys making her feel cherished...how awesome it would be to have that. Sigghh...who wouldn't want a hot, bad mammer-jammer, sexy as sin, lingerie picking out, good with his mouth kind of guy? EVERYONE would right? Yes, the answer is YES.

Putting together two of my favorite authors in one book? Yeah, I already knew it would be a big win!
This story is burn-the-pages hot and sexy, but sweet and romantic, too. LOVE the storyline with Graham owning a lingerie company, and CJ also being a business owner. They were on equal ground in their professional lives, which is a hallmark of Both Lauren and Lili's books. Graham could rival the guys in either of their books in the swoon department, and CJ gives their women a run for their money.
Bravo ladies! This one's a definite hit!

➦This one was surely written for lovers of "teach me sex" trope. And best friend's little sister trope. In this case dead best friend.

➦It was a lovely quick and sexy read, pretty much what I've come to expect from Lauren Blakely and Vivi Valente. And I've read a lot of their books. Certainly, I do notice similarities in tropes and things that "work" but I cannot stop reading them anyways :)

➦Having listened to this audiobook last week, the details about these characters are a bit hazy. But you have to take in account that I read a lot of books per week, I guess. And my memory is shit. So what I'm trying to say is that it's a cute, fun and short read that you're definitely going to enjoy it. Ughhhh. I hate sounding like a broken record but I guess I want a more developed novel lately. I might be just in one of my "moods" though :S

The V Card showcases a seamless blending of the writing styles of two authors known for their tempting and hilarious novels. This story is filled with humor, and heart, with little drama and lots of steam. A perfect read if you're looking to laugh, swoon, and fall in love. Since one of the characters loves making lists, let me share my own list as to why this book was a hit for me:

REASONS WHY I LOVED THE V CARD

1. Brother's Best Friend, Friends to Lovers romance

Graham Campbell, the CEO of lingerie company Adored, was the best friend of CJ's brother Sean. They grew up together, started the company together, and were the thickest of thieves until Sean passed away. With the loss of CJ's brother and Graham's best friend, they gave their time and support to each other, eventually becoming closer than when they were young. You know Graham is never going to hurt CJ intentionally, and the love is already there between them; it just wasn't romantic before, at least not on Graham's part. I love seeing friends become more, because there's already a strong foundation and some pretty strong affection between them.

2. The pacing of the story

A 7-day tryst is a recipe for an insta-love story, but it never felt that way when I was reading The V Card. From the start of the story, you can easily tell how close CJ and Graham are and how long they've known each other, so it was easy to get swept into the romance. They didn't jump head first into falling in love but waded their way into it with their sexual and non-sexual bonding moments.

3. Perfect balance of sweet and sexy

You'd think this would be more focused on the sex, since the story is about Graham teaching CJ about it, but this book has its fair share of swoon-worthy and adorable moments between Graham and CJ. Even during their trysts, you can feel their bond and care for each other. How easy it is for them to laugh and talk about everything. I love it.

4. Caroline Jessica "CJ" Murphy

I love her. Absolutely adore her. CJ confident, sweet, caring, and has a great sense of humor. I love her shirts, quirky accessories, her own sense of style. I've read contemporary romance books where the virgin heroine is too innocent and clueless at 25 and will only become something more when she finally meets a man. CJ is nothing like that. She's inquisitive, a go-getter, and comfortable in her own skin. Plus, I love how much she loves her—and her brother's—cat, Stephen King.

5. Graham Campbell

Another hero to swoon over! Graham is a man who, as Drake says, "started from the bottom now we here". This man has been married to his job for a long time, but you know it's not about the money. He's passionate about his business, his products, and women. It's not a secret that Graham was a bit of a womanizer, but he's not disrespectful and misogynistic about it, pretty similar to Lauren Blakely's heroes. Plus, his affection for CJ is so authentic and adorable, gah. GAH. Then when the romantic feels comes pouring in, GAHHHH. I am a pile of mush. And the thing he did before the happy ending. Ahhhh. I had a stupid grin on my face during a special moment at the arena.

She's taught me something so much more vital than what I've shown her. She's taught me how it feels to fall in love."

Kudos to Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente for giving me—and I suspect, a lot of people—something I didn't know I wanted, a fantastic collaboration! I loved both their works and was more than pleased with The V Card. I'm afraid I'm spoiled now, so pretty please, with a cherry on top, won't the two of you write together again?

The V Card by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente is a full-length, standalone, romance novel.
Meet Graham Campbell, he´s the CEO of a fast growing company and enjoys his life to the fullest.
CJ Murphy is a 25 year old woman , has her own successful company , has great friends, a big apartement, but something lacks. CJ needs his help. She´s his best friends little sister and like a sister to himself too. So he thought. Until CJ proposes him. He shall educate her in change for her support in a shareholder meeting.
Both agree to this crazy plan and believe they can let their feelings left out of this. Sounds cheesy, but isn´t in the slightest. The V Card is a beautiful love story with lots of scorching hot sex scenes. I started reading and was hooked from page one. I read the book in one sitting, I couldn´t put it down.
Ilove the story, the writing is great and I could feel the characters emotions in the words. I laughed, I cried and I felt connected to the characters.
I recommend the book and give 5 stars. Thank you, Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente !

This was a super hot and sexy read!!! Even though there was quite a bit of sex in this story, it had a great emotion filled relationship between the main characters as well! It really was a well rounded story with such a feel good vibe as well!

I was highly impressed with the two authors who shared the writing in this book! They did a great job in giving the readers exactly what we love!!!
When I have some more time I will do another review!!! With the holidays coming closer, time is becoming harder to find!!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy; the Writing Marriage of Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente has produced a perfectly swoony bundle of Sweet, Sensual, Sexy Times with the expected depth these writers always deliver. There is introspection, concern, epiphanies, and the final understanding of what is important.

We have the perfect storm of a woman who has always had a thing for her brother's best friend. The brother's best friend is everything a woman could want...He is smart, sensual, and caring. He also lived by the Bro Code of No Sisters allowed. This worked and these friends and siblings were the perfect teams.

The sister, CJ, became a serious businesswoman developing her own company of accessories. She has the classy life of a beautiful apartment, successful business and is always busy.

The Brother and best friend, Graham, became their own success story. They loved women and everything about them... leading them to develop a wonderful lingerie company. It took off and things were good. Then the brother dies and Graham is left to run the business, manage the board of directors and also look out for CJ.

Looking out for CJ has never been an issue... Graham thinks of her as his bud. When he wants to talk to someone about the important things worrying him... he turns to CJ. ... And now he has a problem...and needs her assistance... Big Time.

Conglomerates are sniffing around the company Adored and Graham wants to convince the board not to sell. It is going to take a persuasive voice to show these stubborn members that this is not the move to make. That Adored is worth so much more if they will let Graham run it and let it grow to what it could become. CJ is that voice...and Graham just has to convince her to tell them... in her own way, of course.

CJ meets up with Graham and it is always a pleasure/pain to see him. Pleasure because she has had feelings for him for Forever! A little pain because she knows he doesn't feel that way and the friendship is too important to risk.

But...CJ has a need... a serious need and she thinks Graham is the answer. You see, with all of the Bros looking out for her while she was a teenager/new adult...and then her working night and day to make her company a success... there wasn't any time or way to ditch that pesky V Card...

Oh, she tried... and you wouldn't think it would be an issue... but as much as she may have almost gotten there...either she or the guy couldn't close the deal...Mostly the guys would feel V BLOCKED and that was the end of that.

Now across the table with Graham hearing he needs her... practically begging her to talk at the next board meeting to show these members how she fought a buy out with her company and won...CJ bites the bullet... decides this is the time and drops the hammer on Graham as to what she wants from him in order to do this favor...

CJ sucks it up and lays it out... Graham is to teach her everything about sex so men won't run the other way...and take her V Card- then she will do the speech at the board for him.

Graham is stunned...He has to re-group. The idea of CJ finding another to do this task just doesn't sit right...and the idea of her brother's thinking on this doesn't sit right either..

But...It's CJ...Graham decides he will take this on his way...7 days of tutoring and then the board meeting...They both agree, no strings and 7 days that is it...

Well, People...This is seven days of swoony, sexy, hot, and simmer heaven. This is so much more than slam/bam... in fact, with all that is happening...there isn't any of that... there is a tease, power, learning from BOTH, and a sensual, sexy love fest that ends with everything you could want.

Both characters are smart, caring people who have humor, wit, wants, and fears. They feel things they never thought they would for each other... there are some minor concerns and in the end, all works deliciously. The relationship between them sings. The dialogue is sharp and the emotions real.

Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente took a trope we all have read before and put their own personal spin on it...the reading was a delight with lots of smiles, facepalms, and sighs...

CJ Murphy has a problem that she wants resolved asap. She's smart, successful, independent, but she needs her V card punched and that is something she cannot do alone. She's tired of waiting for Mr. Right and dealing with all of the Mr. Wrongs.

The right guy for her (in her mind at least) is her late brother's best friend, Graham Campbell. He's charming, sexy, caring, and has a reputation for knowng how to please a woman. But they have always just been close friends.

So when Graham needs a favor for assistance with something for his business, she shocks the hell out of him with a counter offer. Now they've got a seven day deal for him to teach her how to please a man and to finally lose her V status. He seems like the perfect choice because she trusts him and he does not do relationships.

What they did not count on were feelings beyond their friendship. However, they both become a bit addicted to the other, but are scared to admit it. But there is a time limit, and a long time friendship at stake. And it is hard being the one to bring up a new idea that they did not sign up for and could blow up in their face.

Miscommnucation can lead to hurt feelings. And as time comes to an end, they will both have to figure out their life priorities and also if it is worth risking their friendship on a chance at something more. And if so, one of them will have to be brave enough to make a move.

This is a snappy, sweet, sexy, funny, swoony, friends-to-lovers and best-friend's-little-sister love story. It is told in dual points of view and the characters are both fun and likable. CJ is a bit quirky and shy, but also sassy and sweet. Graham is strong, charismatic, and protective, but also has a tender, vulnerable inner core. He is such a swoon-ilicious hero! Together they have history and good chemistry, and are just adorable and hot. Their banter is lively, and the side characters are interesting and entertaining.

This is a total stand-alone, and an engaging and romantic collaboration from these two talented authors. Their two writing styles flow seamlessly and immediately drew me in and kept me interested throughout.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this collaboration between Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente, two of my favorite creators of dirty-talking alphas. So worth the wait...even though I did get the audiobook a little earlier than everyone else. The dynamic duo of Sebastian York and Andi Arndt do an amazing job, but that's not a surprise. They are so good at immersing in their characters, you feel everything going on.

CJ and Graham have been through a lot together, and through years of being there for one another, in addition to building successful careers, they've gotten close. CJ has a very important favor to ask Graham. And then the fun starts!! No spoilers, but you need to pick this up as soon as it releases. TRUST!!

This is a sweet, hot, and dirty friends-to-lovers/I think my brother's best friend is hot story. If you're familiar with Lauren and Lili, you know they know how to heat up a scene or two--or 40! They also know how to melt your heart, and make you swoon a few times, and totally fall for the guy, yourself. Guilty!!

CJ is probably the last virgin standing in NY. She’s on the cusp of her 26th birthday and can think of no better person to usher in her womanhood than her best friend, Graham. Neither of them wants to jeopardize their friendship, but their attraction and chemistry couldn’t be denied. A lot of fun, flirting and sexy shenanigans ensue. CJ was a kind and beautiful soul and while Graham had the reputation of a manwhore, aside from an obsessed ex-girlfriend, I didn’t really see any evidence of it. What I did see was the beautiful connection these characters shared, the deep and mutual feelings they developed unbeknownst to the other, and the romantic story that developed between them.

The V Card was one of the cutest books I’ve read in a long time. It was sweet, charming, and left my heart feeling all warm and fuzzy in the end. I’m a huge fan of romantic comedies and these authors delivered a winner with this friends-to-lovers story.

“I’ve seen how gorgeous you look in the lingerie I make. Now I want to see how gorgeous you look out of it.”

Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente are a match made in ROM-COM heaven! THE V CARD was an OUTSTANDING romantic comedy that has heart, humor, and an INSANE amount of chemistry! I couldn’t take my eyes off the pages for even a minute! While Ms. Blakely is one of my FAVORITES, Ms. Valente is brand-spankin’ new to me, so this was a great introduction to what she has to offer in this genre. When two authors come together to bring their readers something truly special, EVERYONE WINS!

Graham and CJ were PURE MAGIC, individually and as a blossoming couple. THE V CARD is dual POV, which is AMAZINGLY well done! We get inside both of their heads and discover their weaknesses when it comes to one another, as well as their strengths, their concerns, and their hopes. Graham’s struggle was real. He was so torn, and yet the idea of teaching CJ what she wants is so intriguing and sexy. How could he say no? I loved CJ’s innocence, her naivety, her fire. I loved how she had the guts to ask Graham exactly what she wants. What first was an awkward and uncomfortable request for both parties, turned into an even stronger bond and a beautiful love match.

THE V CARD by these two incredible authors is a MUST READ for sure! It was a quick read with quite a lot going on. It was packed full of comedy, romance, and heart, and you can’t help but fall madly in love with these two adorable characters!

I truly love waking up to find a Lauren Blakely book on my kindle. I always know I am in for a fun ride and a lot of laughs! THE V CARD by Blakely and Lili Valente had me so worked up, I didn't know what to do with myself!

Graham is PERFECT. really. perfect. I don't know many male characters I can say that about-but he truly is. Funny, smart, thoughtful, handsome and all he wants to do is take care of his dead best friend's sister. In more ways than one. When she comes to him with a proposition that no one, not even him would expect, all cards for his Sex-batical are off the table, or on the floor, or...you know what I mean!

CJ just wants to get laid. I mean, throw out the V card, have coitus, make love, have sex...ALL OF IT. The only person she trusts not to break her heart, but break her hymen instead, is Graham. At 25, rounding on 26, she has had enough of the single life and of her battery operated friends and feels its time for the bone zone to occur. Enter delicious Graham. The man she has dreamed about for years. The ying to her yang, the man she has always had feelings for. When he agrees to the deal; 7 days of him teaching her how to be sexual goddess and for her to enjoy being the hands on student, she feels like she has won the lottery!

Swoon worthy, lush and sexy-I loved every page! Blakley and Valente make a great team! The writing was witty, funny and cute-and most of all, I was filled with joy with the way these two made this arrangement work! Another hit for one of my favourite authors!

A quick, light, lovely read!

CJ Murphy is ready to get rid of her V card and she knows just the person for the job. He's been there for her as a friend for what seems like forever. Her plan is simple and really, what's the worst that could happen?

To say Graham Campbell is taken aback by CJ's request is an understatement. However after some thought, he can't deny he's the right man for the job. Besides, if anyone can keep the emotions out of the mix, it's Graham. And better it's him than some stranger that doesn't care about CJ's feelings or pleasure.

One week, no holds barred, abundant pleasure, and then walk away as friends and nothing more.

But what happens when feelings start to build? Will they decide to make a real go at it? Or will they cut and run before the week is out in order to save their friendship? Or could the unthinkable happen... they lose everything including their friendship?

The V Card is a sizzling, saucy, hilarious read from start to finish. I seriously couldn't put it down and I really didn't want to. I connected with this couple and enjoyed their sensational journey.

I love how Graham and CJ are friends first, their bond is strong and that is why CJ seeks Graham's help instead of some random stranger. Their banter is a perfect mix of witty and seductive. The passion between them flies off the pages causing the reader to overheat.

I really enjoyed the combined writing talents of Lauren and Lili. Their storytelling is entertaining and enraptures the reader from cover to cover. I look forward to reading more books from this duo.

This is one book that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a book that will make them laugh, cry happy (and a few sad) tears, swoon. This is a couple that will warm your heart and make you believe in happier ever afters.

The V Card delivers a super sweet ending. Less sweet and a lot more racy, is the story’s sexy nature in which CJ recruits a friend to help get rid of her V-Card.

But let’s start from the beginning. In this romantic comedy, sheltered yet smart and successful 25 year old business owner CJ has little to no experience in the bedroom department and she’s determined to remedy that ASAP by enlisting the help of her close friend Graham Campbell. Mr. Charming. A flirt, womanizer and her late brother’s best friend and business partner.

As it turns out, Graham needs a favor to ask her. They both knew the objective and agree to the terms. A seven day, no complications project in which Graham teaches CJ everything he knows on pleasing a man and CJ speaks to his board of directors. What could possibly go wrong?

CJ and Graham have no trouble with the lessons as they realize they have combustible chemistry. They also have a long friendship which could be put to risk with the emerging romantic feelings their sexy arrangement has produced and both are afraid to bring it up and lose everything. Misunderstandings though, can be much more dangerous, but love is worth the risk.

Blakely and Valente make a fantastic romance writing duo, penning a sexy an entertaining friends to lovers story. It’s fast paced, funny and swoony with loveable characters.

The V Card is standalone contemporary romance by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valentine. It’s a sweet, sexy and fun read romantic comedy lovers won’t want to miss. Written in first person from both points of view and has a happy ending.

S-U-P-E-R C-U-T-E!!

Aww! I really liked this sweet and flirty romance by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. It's sweet, fast-paced, and has really great dual POV. Graham and CJ are so good together!

Here's the breakdown: CJ is on the cusp of celebrating her 26th birthday. She's an accomplished business woman and all around great person. Although she's lost someone important to her, she has a pretty good life. There's only one problem. She's soon to be a 26 year old virgin.

So...to handle her little problem she enlists the help of her closest friend. Graham certainly has the reputation to help her punch her V Card.

Here's what I loved:
Both characters are so much fun! CJ is quirky and cute. Her innocence really endeared her to me. I loved all her little quirks. Graham is the typical playboy bachelor. He's handsome, successful, sexy, and knows how to pull the ladies! His character development was great to see. I absolutely loved hearing things from his POV. I laughed out loud so much!

The story is fun, but also has depth. Their shared history and loss is meaningful to them both. It makes them closer, but also oblivious to what's right in front of them.

The writing is light and fun. The length is perfect. Overall, this was a quick, light, and fun read!

What do you do when something tragic happens to your best friend and partner in their Lingere company the two of them build together. You be the friend and look out for his little sister. When you ask said little sister to breakfast asking her for a favor to help save your lingerie company so the board of directors wouldn't vote to sell, by telling the BOD how she saved her company. But what she ask for in exchange for her help is to drum roll...help deflower her. When CJ's metaphor wasn't working stating she wants to step on a bomb but she wanted a nice bomb. I need you to teach me about sex, intercourse, the horizontal hulu, the bow chica bow wow, nookie. Graham was in shock... So what happens when you have a virgin an a womanizer get together for 1 week, at the end of that week who will most likely be disappointed?

"Dear CJ I don't know what to say, I'm usually good with words but they escape me now that I really need them. I want so badly to make this easier for you and for myself, but I can't. All I know is I will never forget him, Shawn was one of the best of us. He was a true friend to me and from now on I hope that you will let me be the same to you. I here for you anything you need. That means today, tomorrow and 10 years from now because I'm not going anywhere. I know I can never take his place, I wouldn't dare to try. But I here to hold your hand or be a shoulder to cry on take you to brunch like Shawn use to do. I know it helps me to know you are still here to know I will have someone to share memories with. I don't want to lose those memories or you sending you all my love today as gather together to honor your wonderful brother. Your friend for always Graham"

Great story love Lauren Blakely, funny rom-com and to add love me so Sebastian York & Andi Ardnt

CEO of the fast growing lingerie company Adored Graham Campbell needs a favor from his BFF CJ, he needs her to help him keep control of his company and take it in to the future. CJ agrees to help him as long as he agrees to help her with her own little problem, you see CJ is still a virgin at 25 years old and she wants Graham to deflower her and teach her the art of seduction. I know the story line was very predictable but I really liked it. The characters were so lovable and the slow developing relationship between the two was so sweet and as usual the sex was very hot.
