The Sorcerer’s Saga #3

La maledizione del corvo

Rate this book

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really good novel in the Sorcerer's Saga series. It makes me want to listen to book 4. It was exciting and fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. I even finished it in one sitting.

Clean, fun adventure book.

The characters are enjoyable and developed over time. The only regret I have is book 4 is not out yet!

What is really inside someone and why is it there? Should it be there? Should the person work to improve away from that trait? Middle grade readers who ask these questions will enjoy the unfolding saga of Aiden and this tale, Raven’s Curse. Oxford has really locked in on the introspective tween point of view in this narrative.

In part three of the Sorcerer’s Saga, Aiden’s mother hatches a plan that will turn her son into an evil doer so she can steal his power. He learns of an exclusive group of magic users on the planet and that he is among their number.

I’m glad I was listening to this audiobook that I requested a review copy of with my nine year old son, because he helped me keep track of all the new characters. I found the task overwhelming while bringing my family up to Portland Maine for a nice weekend downtown and near the water. I’m under no obligation to review this or any book, but I keep at it to inform you, dear reader. Check out my reviews of the first two parts of Sorcerer’s Sage at LARC-SciFi(dot)com/bookreviews if you haven’t read the other books in the series.

This 3rd book in the Sorcerer's Saga continues to be an enjoyable family-friendly fantasy tale that is sure to entertain. It is a humour filled story with magic, dragons, Pirates, evil sorcerer's and some great adventures. The narrator of the audiobook, J Scott Bennett, did a great job of giving each character an individual voice and creating visuals that drew the listening into this entertaining world. This story can be read as a stand-alone but it would be better enjoyed if the series was read in order, as there are threads that flow from one book to the next. I will look forward to seeing how the story progresses in the next book. I received the audiobook at no cost and under no obligation to review.

Another amazing adventure!

Ayden and Merlin are confused about why magic is starting to change how Ayden behaves. Plus, people are starting to lose their magical abilities. These books get better and better as the story goes on! I highly recommend this book and the previous books to people off all ages who enjoy adventure and magic with great character development. I am off too read the next book, because I am completely hooked on this series. 😳

There's something compelling about these things books

It's not my favourite series but I find quite enjoyable to binge read. I'm tempted to dive into the next book just to see where the next adventure leads.

I am really enjoying this series, and its not even the normal type of book that I go for! I like that this fantasy is family-friendly, and all the characters and settings are really well-developed. The story is well-paced and keeps the reader engaged throughout. I listened to the Audible audio version of the book narrated by J. Scott Bennett. I am very pleased with his narration. He is so good at giving each character a unique voice. He's definitely one of my all-time favorite narrators. If you're a fan of fantasy, or just want something the whole family can enjoy on a long car trip, I highly recommend this book.
