D.A. Young primarily gained her following as a writer of interracial romance, but I am here to tell you that sis also kills it in AA too! I thought Max from The Farmer & The Belle was boo and Zay from Forever Yours was bae, but after reading Take A Chance On Me, Graham Carlton makes Max and Zay look like a couple of chumps trying to mack at the club.

So, if you’re a diehard reader of D.A. Young, then you will know that Graham Carlton is the brother of Georgina Carlton from TF&TB and Eliza Rossini from Lost & Found, books one and two in the Baymoor series. Graham had always been the elusive, mysterious brother in both stories as well as a few of the Whiskey Row stories, but in TACOM, he finally gets to shine, and brotha man is GLEAMING! As a connoisseur of romance novels, Graham Carlton is officially my end-all, be-all… He is the prototype. A real man among men. A gift from the romance gods.
Annabelle Gaines is a woman on the run from her sadistic fiancé, and Graham is on a mission to not only find her and bring her back to her family but to satisfy this insatiable obsession he’s developed for the woman, and nothing and no one will get in his way ‘cause Graham is.that.dude.

I must caution you that this story deals with drug abuse and the lasting effects it leaves on not only the addict but their loved ones, especially their children. This story also deals strongly with domestic violence. These themes are not glorified to make the story sensational, because Graham and Annabelle do that on their own, but they do paint a realistic picture of what can happen to its victims during and the aftermath of breaking free.

But don’t worry! This story is hella hilarious, and at the heart of it is a romance, after all, so there is a sweet ending, and if you know D.A., the loving is hawwwwt!!! 5 stars, yo! Click it up!

I'm always torn after reading a DA Young book. I love the Baymoor series and I'm looking forward to the spin-off. But I am not a fan of Young's writing. No matter how many books I read by this author, the writing style prevents me from fully enjoying her books. And it's a shame because the Baymoor series is a great series!!! But the italicizing of sentences to show emphasis (?) is distracting. The flashbacks to the previous day or a few hours earlier in the day is distracting and annoying. Flashbacks should only be used to go back into the past. The real past....as in years. Every time I'm like why is there a flashback for a conversation that was had 2 hours ago. Why not just write that scene or have the characters talk about the conversation that was had?? I'm not a writer but as a reader, it takes me out of the story and makes me question what the author is doing.

Also it would be nice if the author had a website in addition to a FB page. Not everyone has FB or wants to use FB. And having a newsletter would be helpful as well. I stumble upon Young's new releases by accident every single time. Thankfully I'm on Amazon daily searching for books to read. But i shouldn't have to do this to know when an author has a new release.

Anyway, love the series. Looking forward to the spin-off. I'm sure i will continue to be annoyed by Young's style of writing but fortunately it won't prevent me from reading her books (for now).

Awesome!

My word....I love me some Graham!! He is the epitome of manliness, the epitome of provider and protector and Annabelle is the PERFECT woman for him!

This book is an excellent addition to the Baymoor chronicles and I can't wait to see what else is in store for this wonderful clan.

I dos to the author for this kick a$$ book!

Very good read! Ms. Young never ceases to amaze me!

Kind of disappointed. I wanted to read about what Graham would have done to Davis. I was looking forward to that lol.

Happy reading, friends! ❤️📖

So It took me a little longer to read this book since I was extremely busy, but I read it at every chance I got.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book, it was hilarious and I love Annabelle and Graham. There meeting was too funny, she was well prepare for anything. lol No one can say that she couldn't hold her own, Graham was not prepared for her at all. lol

Now when I started this series I really couldn't stand Ingrid, she was this horrible person that I knew there was no way I could forgive her. But as I read this book I begin to see that their's more towards her and I hope that she is able to be forgiven by her family. And find her own happy ending, she came from a lot and even though I'm kind of iffy on full forgiving her. She's human and has made mistakes, she's not making excuse for her past horrible actions. But instead owning up for them, and trying her best to make things right and keep herself on the straight and narrow. And you cannot help but hope that things end up well for her, and that she can get her happy ending.

Which is why I LOVE the ending, I truly wishes her the best, even if her children is unable to forgive her. She should get her happy ending, esp since she not trying to make any waves in their sea of happiness, but just wants to be around them. I HOPE D.A Young writes a story for her, even if it's a short skit, I would really love to read it.

I also love the fact that Annebelle is her own woman and when Graham try to lay down the law with her, she shove back with a 'Boy bye.'. Lol I love the fact that she tells him that he can tell her what to do in bed, but outside of it, she makes her own decisions.

lol And even better I love the fact that Graham respects that and was only trying to get her to see his side of the story. Which i completely RESPECT, and when she accidently found herself in a pickle, he is always there to rescume his woman. And I LOVE THAT.

I also love the little scenes of Sid and Casey, I love these two.

Take a Chance on Me

This installment of the Baymoor series allows readers to laugh, cry, think, and heal. The look into life of victim's of both domestic violence and drug addicted love one's was very real and transparent. There were moments where I had to take a pause due to the mirror of my life. Both domestic violence and a drug addicted parent were experienced in my life. But this book shows the path of recovery, forgiveness, and healing. But it was great to see who became judge, juror, and executioner. Justice was definitely served.

But make no mistake about it DA Young brings the heat and romance with this one. The invisible pearls were clenched, ice was chewed and the heat was rising. Graham burns up the pages and allows Annabelle to heal in his arms, sheets, and heart. His love even before first introduction was amazing. The way he promised to love Annabelle past her past causes your heart to pump widely. Annabelle's determination to persevere beyond her past was inspiring. And whatever you do don't mess with the people she loves or retribution is hers. I also loved the introduction of Rory. She's such a sweet child.

Looking forward to the next installment of this series. But Graham is bae!! And as seen previously every town could benefit from the Spring Chickens. Lol. I also loved seeing the quick update of the Sullivan's. Another great read from this amazing author. Taking a chance on her means taking a chance on instant and addictive author love.

Annabelle and Graham took a chance on love

The chance Annabelle Gaines and Graham Carlton took on love was absolutely delicious.

In this third installment of the Baymoor series, we took a deeper dive into characters we've become familiar with from the previous books. This time, D.A. Young gave us more of Graham and introduced us to Annabelle.

The domestic violence that Annabelle and the other Fowler spouses endured was horrific and difficult to read. The writing, however, was done with care. I never got the faux indignation towards violence against women (while the descriptions are given in a way that almost gets the writer off) that exists within so many books that depict this sort of thing. I felt the strength of Annabelle and Edith, not weakness. I absolutely loved the relationship between the two women who at first glance seemed so different and adversarial. The other revelations regarding Annabelle and those who loved her was a bonus to this story.

Every woman needs a Graham in their lives. Whether as your brother, your lover, or your friend, everyone needs a Graham; he was loyal but lethal. This novel ventured off into a number of other subplots, but honestly, I would've preferred to just have more of Graham and Annabelle.

This is my favorite book in the series. This is a must read if you've already taken the time to read the other two books in this series. It's worth reading the others, just to get to this one.

A Chance Worth Taking!

A fantastic amazing story that had me captivated and totally absorbed in the storyline! With emotions of anger at Davis and Ingrid, wanting to jump into my kindle to pulverize them both, to sadness at what Annebelle endured, to gushing over Graham and Annebelle, to precocious, adoring Rory, to laughing at the Spring Chickens and their machinations, ( in a loving way). Loving the relationship between the Carlton siblings. The bond, connection, kinship and love of family, friends and our favorite residents of Baymoor and their extended family from Whiskey Row, (the other favorite families). There are so many unforgettable moments in this book. Graham, where do I begin, honorable, funny, loving, possessive, protective, smart, strong, sexy, the total package, Annebelle, a survivor, caring, independent, intelligent, phenomenal woman, loves Graham and he loves her. This book is bittersweet, I will miss the Carlton siblings, but, because D.A.'s books weave and interconnect I am sure we will connect with them again in Baymoor. Did I mention, the sizzle and red-hot heat, ok, so there you have it. This book has it all, a great storyline, plot and a forever happiness. This is a must read!!!

I am loving the Baymoor series

Graham and Annabelle's story was phenomenal. I was glad they both found they could trust and believe in love again, after all they have both been through these two were most deserving of it. The Spring Chickens were hilarious as ever...yoga and the Kama Sutra, baah ha ha. In this book as well as the previous ones, I loved, loved, loved Raymond's banter with each of the guys. I must admit I am a bit undecided with my feelings towards Ingrid (the Carlton siblings mom). I want to hate her for past transgressions, but I am in awe at how hard she is working to get better and the strength she is exhibiting at maintaining her sobriety. I am also conflicted about the way her family is handling their dealings with her, I mean I get it, I really do, but will it get better than it is? I will be looking out of the next installment of this series and in the meantime will be hoping things do get better than they are with this mother and her offspring.

👏 Yeah It's That Good!!!

I have loved this series from the first book up until this one,I can't begin to describe how wonderful a story this was.I love that we got to see Graham get a family and fun d the love he was missing.I love that we got quite a bit of closure in each of the characters lives, but the writer lives you with shakes because you know we'll see more of this family. Now this was just good solid writing with everything working, and then some.I love when you get a sexy love affair going and it is so much more. The chemistry between Graham and Annabelle was so sexy, sizzling good you could feel it leap from the pages.I love when the writer gets the personality of the kids just right that you fall all the way in love. This story also deals with some very heavy subjects and the writer comes up holding aces the way she handles everything. This is just good writing, the love of the subjects and a wish you to not only entertain but to capture your interest. If you have not traveled to Baymoor then you need to make it your next stop!

Everyone deserves and Graham. That man was in love and devoted before even meeting Annabelle. With Graham‘s line of work it was surprising to see that without even meeting her he was ready to switch his life around and determined to make sure that he brought her back to her family friends and loved ones.

Annabelle being able to break away and start a new life away from everyone and to have the support of her mother in law!!!! To be able to get a man to love you and your baby as his own and without even blinking.

Their love story moved fast but that’s due to Graham already making it up in his mind that there was no other option. The link and measure Graham went to make sure she could go back him and feel safe! That night cap that was really to just see her family was everything. I would have married him off of that act alone.

The plot twist with the siblings opened up behind their mother was a sweet moment. Through this whole series so far this book 3 was my favorite. To know they got Davis finally!!! I really can’t wait to read the next part.

Lovin’ the pain away!

Baymoor is on and poppin’! This is a must read from this author! (You need to read the books in order starting with the Men of Whiskey Row series!). I laughed so much while reading this book, especially when Eliza, Georgie and Fern were deciding who would rescue Annabelle from the Pink Ladies! The Carlton siblings finally got their happy endings. Let’s hope Ingrid doesn’t screw it up! With a mother like her who needs enemies!

I was sad to see the part Annabelle’s parents played in her abuse! The people that are supposed to protect you, sell you like you’re a two dollar whore! Thank goodness she had a savior in Edith. Graham finally got his Annabelle and Davis got his due! That’s the least her parents could do for her; but I wanted Graham to get that jackass and make him suffer long!

But my best part of all was Rory and her jokes! LOL! I was done when babygirl said, “Mr. Ram I love you! You love me too yes?”

Two thumbs way up!

Graham and Annabelle has gone through a lot. I don't think I could do what Graham did with a clear conscious but you have to do what you have to do to protect your family. As for Annabelle, David did a number on her. Her parents weren't any better. They were filled with greed to sell their only child out like they did. Graham and Annabelle first meeting was hilarious. Especially to me, the way she brought him down, will have you rolling with laughter. Poor Graham! You get a glimpse into their experiences especially Annabelle. David pretty much for what he deserved in the end. He was evil and Brenton was a sorry example for a father. I just hope that Ingrid is redeemed of her faults when it comes to her family. Some people if not most deserve a second chance. Wonderful story and highly recommended.

Excellent, brilliantly written story p

D. A. Young has exceeded my expectations with the continuation of the story and characters from Baymoor, I literally immerse myself into the story and get lost in the well developed characters and their lives also how they are interwoven with my favourite characters from Whiskey Row. I can't wait until the next book comes out!
This was such a wonderful story of a love that has developed and grown between two people who deserve happiness and I am so looking forward to reading about Graham and Annabelle's future in the next instalment.

This book is a must read but to get the full experience of Baymoor and all the characters you MUST read the previous books you definitely won't regret it.

YES!!!

I LOVE Graham Carlton!! I thought Jack was my book BAE, then you D.A. Young gave us Darby, hell I have even swooned over Alexi (Dear God, that man is ALL MAN), but Graham, Dear Lordt! He may have knocked them ALL out the box! I could even go for another Graham Carlton book! I devoured this book in less than a day, it was that good.

Annabelle was a perfect counter to his character. I love how she was written as damaged, but not broken. I can’t wait for those two to get married.

I was surprised at Ingrid’s turn. She was also so self centered and calculating, but I like how she is getting a redemption story. It helps that she was able to end the Gaines torment. I cannot wait for the next D.A. Young book

regretfully disappointed

i really wanted to love this book. and i really, really tried to. after reading books 1 and 2 in the series, i couldn’t believe this one was written by the same author. i loved those books, but this one seemed like a completely different style of writing, especially the dialogue. personally there was just too much street slang for me. i realize that probably makes me sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but i am a mature reader and i appreciate mature dialogue. the characters were professionals in their late thirties, but they didn’t sound like it. also their love story seemed very rushed and the set up and transition to love just didn’t seem as thoughtful as in the first 2 books.

Be still my heart!!!

This was a wonderful tale of passion and love. Graham and Annabelle was what the other needed and didn't know it, but gladly embraced each other. Graham is such a protector. Davis was a blemish in the background, but ever present. He definitely received his just desserts. There are no words to adequately address Rory's cuteness.😄😄 As always I enjoyed the Whiskey Row family and can't wait for the birth of Casey and Sid's baby. There has to be entire chapter just devoted to her in labor, right???😂😂😂 I loved this book and confess I actually read it back to back(yep 2 times) before leaving this review. I am eagerly awaiting whatever is next on the list.

Great Story

I am so glad that Annabelle was able to escape the evil Davis and his father. I can't believe that anyone would think it's ok to abuse any one. I'm glad Annabelle had Graham come into her life and protect her and Ms Edith from any further harm. I loved Graham and his patients for Annabelle. They were perfect for each other. Ingrid turned out to be a decent person. I hope in the future she can have some form of a relationship with her children, but I understand the pain they have all went through. I also hope Georgina and Max have a baby next. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to many more from you DA.

Fantastic Read!!

Once again I wasn't disappointed Graham gave me everything plus more he was strong, protective, firce, deadly and lovable he made sure the ones he loved was always first. I loved everything about this couple and the issues surrounding them. I also enjoyed catching up with some of the other couples. Now Ingrid I didn't know if I wanted to forgive her or continue to hate her so I will leave it up to her kids and follow their lead. But I am interested to know if we will get more from her.

Oh, Mr. Carlton

The best in the Baymoor series. Graham was better than I was expecting! Tough yet gentle, protective yet not one to be messed with! He fell in instalove with Annabelle and sweet Rory. What I love about D.A's series, is even though there are multiple characters that make an appearance, the two main characters focus is never taken away from them nor is there some insane tree to follow to keep up with everyone. It's not muddled with figure out who belong where in what story from when.

Ecstatic

I was so ecstatic to finally read Graham and Annabelle's story, and it didn't disappoint. The background information helped shaped the characters and their lives. Even though there were seriousness throughout the story, love, joy, laughter, and good old fashioned teasing were present as well. Definitely recommend this book and series. Looking forward to reading more from Baymoor.

Not Happy

I can't believe this is the last book of Carlton siblings love story. Have to admit I felt a little disappointed

on Davis punishment cause there was no suspense but how it happened was a wonderful surprise. So

glad Annabelle and Graham found love with one another. Gosh I wanted more with Ingrid, what

intriguing character, and left us in suspense too

Hope we get a Baymoor holiday book soon

Great book!

I really enjoyed this story and the characters were very entertaining. I loved the chemistry between Graham and Annabelle it was very intense and smoking hot 🔥! The journey that Ms Young takes you on is full of drama and romance but you love every moment of it. So glad the Fowler men got their just rewards. I highly recommend this series to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed.

Life is all about second chances

D A Young weaves a lot into her stories. This one about second chances, A second chance to find happiness, a second chance to trust, a second chance to open your heart to finding love and the right person to give your love too.Everyone fails sometime in their life, but it's the getting up and opening that door again that starts a whole new world to look at.

Annabelle (Rory) and Graham

I love how Graham didn’t play about Annabelle and Rory. He definitely gave big man energy. I love the way Annabelle loved him, she was vocal about it too. She overcame a lot and didn’t allow her tragedy/trauma keep her from living life. I love her independence. They both loved each other and they showed it in their actions. Their story was very good. The people of Baymoor always showed up for each other and I love that about communities.

I liked the development of the relationship in this book. The story was well written and continued story lines from the characters in the prior books of the series and wove in contact with the characters from the Whiskey Row series. I lived that the series doesn't make the characters exist in a vacuum. The flow and inclusion of other characters helped to expand the possibilities of the storyline and made the book even more interesting.

Much anticipated

This was a very good conclusion to the siblings. This was a good heart-wrenching story. The facts were accurate in how people deal with mental and physical abuse. This author tells a story that can actually be visualized. The descriptiveness of the male characters is beyond mesmerizing. I also like how all of the characters are intertwined. Good Read!!!
