This older account of Bismarck's role in German unification and his part in the building of modern Germany proved readable, though REALLY biased: the author doesn't pretend to be objective, supporting the more conservative views of Bismarck's early opponents and showing aristocratic disdain for Bismarck's unscrupulous decisions and actions.
