I really enjoyed this book, this story even with one little hiccup...I can't read Spanish. I kept wondering if I was missing out on something important that was being said during conversations that weren't translated into English, however I kept reading because I was hooked and wanted to see what was going to happen between the two lead characters.

The characters are well written and very well defined. I loved Meena's strong woman personality and that she knew what she wanted and stuck to her guns with Holden in regards to his children. She cared deeply for these two kids and wanted to make sure that they were brought up right and were attended to when their father was working and not able to do the things that he desperately wanted to do with them but couldn't because of his "job". Holden is complex. He has desires, and Meena is one of those desires, but he also desires to make sure that his children are taken care of and that they come first. He's a bit rough around the edges and a control freak, but not so much as an alpha male (which he is), but it is because of his wanting to make sure that everyone he cares about is safe, considering the evil that he is chasing on the internet for the FBI. He's a hacker, one of the best and his "job" is to help the feds take down human trafficking cells. A "job" that he is forced into in order to continue to live with his children and provide for them rather than being sent to prison. He's good at what he does and it was his saving grace that he was offered this chance. But when these two get together, it's anything but normal. A hot blooded latina and a hot blooded alpha male coming together set off sparks that ignite the world around them. Scenes that will leave you breathless, waiting for them to have a chance at being together as soon as possible.

The storyline is wonderfully written and will have you turning page after page (regardless if you can read Spanish) and you will find yourself finishing the book with a sense of loss at not being able to see where else they will go. It does finish nicely, I'm just greedy and wanted more of these two. I also loved the relationship between Holden and his friends, even when he was hacking them to keep tabs on what they were doing. They understood him and tolerated it as well as giving him lip about it. Meena's family is entertaining as you read the scenes between them. They are not over the top, they are what I assume would be a normal Latin family; loving, welcoming, protective and passionate in their beliefs and in their love for their family. Her sister Mia is a handful, being a teenager that is headstrong and thinks that she is 10 feet tall and bullet proof (as all teens think), and wants to break into acting or modeling and cannot understand why her family is so against what she is pursuing. But Meena understands and has Holden checking out every person who gives her a card to get her into the business. It's good to have a boss who is into the kind of business that he can help her protect her sister.

I absolutely loved this story and the characters and I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Holden needs a Nanny for his two kids, so when his past babysitter walks back into his life it seemed like fate had stepped in. Meena is happy to help Holden out. She is also happy to be back in Holden’s life and she would love to be in Holden’s bed. Meena just has to remember that just like before this is not permanent. To bad she or Holden’s heart didn’t get that memo. These two have some unfinished business and unresolved feelings from the past and add in a little family drama, you have to wonder are these two bound for a unhappy ending or will they finally get their well deserved happily ever after?
Meena and Holden had me engrossed in their story from the beginning. The book begins with a very hot scene between the and that had me wondering how did they get to that point which is how Ms Neal reels you. I loved these two as a couple because they made each other think outside the box which made them great together. The story flowed well and the author gave great backstory for the characters along with giving the hero and heroine interesting and entertaining supporting characters to play off of. I enjoyed Meena and Holden’s story and loved the climatic scene that eventually led to their happy ending. Be warned though, you may need a Spanish translator to get the gist of some of the conversations in the book but know that it’s well worth the effort. I gave this one 5 stars

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

Hiring a blast from the past, in the form of Meena, changes everything for Holden. Can he embrace the changes or will those changes throw his mind into turmoil? Will he let go of some of the control and give his children, and himself, the future, they deserve?

Another fabulous read from Xavier Neal. I always find her books easy to slip into and hard to put down. Her characters always pull you into their story and hold you hostage, hanging on to their every word. Hacker is no different, Holden and Meena are both intriguing characters that I wanted to know better and needed to follow their story.

Holden is the guy who keeps everyone safe. The safety of his family and those he cares for are his main priority. In doing so he forgets about himself, and finding his own happiness. He’s loyal, strong, clever, witty and not afraid to do whatever it takes to protect those he loves.

Meena is a ray of sunshine, she’s strong, caring, thoughtful, loyal and takes her job seriously. She doesn’t do her job with half a heart, she pours her whole heart into it. She has a way of bringing out the best in people and rather than face a heated discussion she can with a little encouragement and understanding get them to see an alternative point of view. She not only gave Holden’s children the best care and support any Nanny should, she also, subtly managed to coax Holden into enjoying life too.

Hacker is a beautiful and intriguing read, perfect for all suspense romance readers. Hacker is part of the Bro Series; however, it can be read as a standalone.

5 unexpected stars

The blurb of this drew me in. I had no idea what I was getting into but from the first page I was like a fly in a web. Snared. The spider holding all the power of what happened next. In this case the spider was Xavier. And the words were the web. I was not expecting to be this invested in the series. I need to go back and read all the words by Xavier now. ALL the words.

Meena and Holden. Hot as hell together. I loved the intermixing of Spanish because I finally got to put to use my Spanish 101/102! The suspense, The explanation of code (without making it seem like Japanese or boring), the twists... This book had it all.

Highly recommend. Now I'm off to go stalk ( observe closely) Xavier on all social platforms.

I have been waiting for this book since I read the substitute! This is an absolute must read! Out of all of the friends, Holden the hacker is the one who intrigued me the most. So, to say I was excited for Holden is an understatement! His computer background I find fascinating. I never realized how much technology can actually play a role in who you are as a person, And how much just the right person can figure out about you through that technology. Do you think Holden knows what I had for breakfast too?! Probably, and much more! Holden and Meena have a past that blew my mind. From the beginning I knew they were intertwined somehow I just didn't realize how deep. I did not want to put this book down because I just had to know what would happen with Holden and Miss Meena! Most definitely pulled my heart strings at the amount of love she had for his children Sage and Lynk. Two amazing kids who just needed stability and someone to show them motherly love. With a different nanny every few months until Meena came along once again to help put their family back together. My heart broke at Holdens secrets sitting so heavily on his shoulders. In trying to be the only parent, while being chained down to the FBI because of those very secrets can be one tough job. Not to mention that type of unlimited resources and information at your fingertips can be an even heavier load. I loved the chemistry between Meena and Holden and the love she has for the 3 of them. Just when I though they would get their happy family and everything would be fine, Meena's sister is taken! Can Holden save Mia with his hacking, put the man behind bars for Good this time, and put his family back together all at the same time? Will he ever get his freedom and live the life he deserves for himself and his kids? Well you know the drill! You’re going to have to read to find out! And this is a must read! I can't wait to read about Pax!

He managed to turn 0s to 1s!

Holden Reiss was such a control freak that he could not allow himself to feel anything but love for his children Lynk and Sage. No nanny was good enough to take care of his spoiled children until Meena Flores re-entered his life. She whipped them all in shape, including Holden himself.

Holden had isolated himself with work at home after he was caught for grand larceny his senior year in college and forced to work or the CIA. Meena did not know the depths of this secret until much later. He'd actually protected her and she had not known. He just could not open his heart due to the guilt he felt behind his deceased wife Beth's death and their tumultuous marriage. He was always hitting 0s because he thought he did not deserve love. He resisted Meena as much as he could until they could not. He finally hit the 1s and allowed himself to feel and love again. She was the only one he allowed the passcode to download his harddrive.

Menna loved him even back when she babysat Lynn when they were in college but he chose Beth. She never got over that and refused to let her heart be given to anyone else until she started working as Holden's Nanny.

Xavier wrote a very interesting story that was difficult for me to read where human trafficking is concerned. It is a contemporary issue we are battling in real life today. This story had secrets that were revealed bit by bit like the peeling of an onion that kept me glued to my Kindle until the very end. The story was very well plotted. Holden's children were typical kids dying for discipline, a normal routine and love. They finally got the mother they craved and needed in Meena, and Holden was her corazon and alma.

Oh, and I loved the fact the Xavier included her Spotify playlist at the beginning of the book. I wish all writers who included music incorporated in their stories would do this. It makes for a more enhance reading environment when they do.

The Hacker is another amazing book by Xavier Neal! It’s the second in the Bro Series, and it’s just as good, if not a bit better. Although, I loved Nate, from the first book, The Substitute. Holden is a single father who needs a nanny for his two children. He decides on hiring, Meena. The two know each other from the past, and I won’t go into detail because that would give an important part of the story away. Just know….Meena has always had a thing for him, but she isn’t expecting him to return those feelings. She tells herself she won’t cross the boss/employee line, and Holden tells himself the same thing. Well, as you will see from the very first few pages, that doesn’t last very long. Meena wants more than just his body, she wants his heart. The question is whether he can give himself completely to her, especially when he is hiding secrets…..

Holden and Meena are both multi-layered and complicated characters. I love Meena’s sense of humor, and her ability to love others, especially Holden’s children. I loved the relationship with her family. She is not only beautiful, but she is intelligent and strong! I learned something new with each chapter about Holden. He was incredibly smart which made him even sexier. Add the single father aspect who adores his children, and that just about makes him irresistible. His chemistry with Meena is electric, and as always, Neal makes us all feel that insane chemistry!

Whenever I read a synopsis of one of Neal’s books, I have learned she has the ability to just blow you away. You never know what secrets, twists, and turns she has waiting for you! She is an amazing writer. In this book, she tackles the dark subject of human trafficking, yet she manages to make me laugh and fall in love!

SEXY
FUN
AND BRILLIANT!

This book has me from the beginning, which started off with a bang!!! I quickly feel in love with Holden, and he is mine!!! This story will leave you wanting more of these two, and I can't wait for the next Bro in this series.
Holden is a single father taking care of his two children, and working as a hacker. I fell in love with him even more when I found out what he does exactly. Like make me swoon over him kind of love. He's very VERY uptight when it comes to his children, and protective. He has the biggest heart though. You will see so many side of him throughout this story!
Meena is my new bestie that I adore. This girl is fun, and spontaneous. She has a huge family that love her, and you will love her Spanish heritage. I laughed a few times when she spoke. She has had to grow up fast, and I swear can take care of kids better than I can with my one. Lol

Holden and Menna knew each other years ago, and just recently she has came back into his life. It's fun to watch their relationship grow from friends to friends with benefits and then to partners in life. Holden has a lot going on, and Meena was the best thing that could have happened to him. Their banter had me laughing so hard, and I was always rooting for my girl to get the upper hand on him. This book was so fun, sexy, sweet, and compassionate. I can't wait to see where Xavier takes us next.

And the kids were my FAVORITE!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!

She and Holden met in college and now have the chance to be together again. Will they make it? What curveballs will life throw in their direction? Watch their relationship grow from friends, to more than friends, to lovers and beyond.

Now with Xavier Neal, we know that not everything is sunshine and rainbows. What happens when Holden's job starts to unravel hidden secrets of Meena's life?

This story is full of suspense, humor and of course, amazing smut filled moments. I have to say, that Lynk and Sage ( Holden's kids) were my absolute favorite and I fell in love with them. If you loved Xavier's precious work, don't hesitate to pick this one up. While it's the second book in the Bro series, it can be read by itself. Come into the Bro world and prepare to be amazed!!

I loved this story! I now have an unexpected appreciation for Hackers. Well, at least for one Hacker, Holden, who works for the FBI. A Hacker doing good to help catch the bad guys. He's a single dad, totally devoted to his two children, at least when the job allows him to be. That's where Meena comes in. She's a career Nanny, and they have a history, but not like you'd probably think. She's totally devoted to Holden and his children. Meena has a large, loving family; Holden does not. Meena loves her job; Holden does not. We learn about their pasts and their history together, and about the secret Holden cannot tell Meena and hopes she never has to find out. I love both of these characters, but that's what Xavier Neal does -- she writes characters you can get behind and root for and fall in love with. I do have to mention one thing, which is definitely not meant to offend or criticize, and hopefully, it's just me: I felt a little left out of the dialogue in the places where Meena, and others, were speaking in Spanish because I had no idea what was being said. With that aside, I highly recommend this book, but for mature readers only, and suggest you read the series from the beginning.

The Bro Series keeps getting better with each book. As taboo as book one was, book two holds more suspense. When Hacker Holden finds himself in need of yet another nanny, he finds himself with nanny Meena. Someone who had changed his life in so many ways yet she doesn't even know it.

Fighting their attraction for each other while he does his "job" for government is hard to accomplish. Doable but hard to accomplish. Will Holden be able to protect those he loves while doing what is required of him with his job?

Twists, truths and lust plays out on each page. Definitely a page turner

Note: I don't know any Spanish at all. Meena tends to teach some Spanish to the kids and watch out when she gets mad. Despite my lack of knowledge, the story is so well written I could tell what was being said or at least an idea. Don't stop reading because of lack of Spanish knowledge. You would be missing out on a very good suspenseful romance.

This story tore my emotions apart , poor Holden and his previous life what he went through with the mother of his children, the guilt he carried for what had happened, and his life entwined with the FBI against his will, and the things he has to do to keep himself out of Jail . Meena is a wonderful person, with a heart of gold. That will not attach herself to anyone for too long, her default to run away at a moment’s notice her life in a suit case. As the story unfolds we find out the real reasons for Holden been tied to the FBI and it really made me melt for this guy he really is trying to protect everyone with his behaviour, everything is very black and white for him protect at all costs, the cost been his own freedom. I love the way Meena manages to change him bit by bit, and manages to introduced normal life to his children, this is truly a magnificent story of love, and I can’t wait to see what the series unfolds

I give this 4.5 stars!!!

I loved the story and the characters. I’d read the first book you in the series and was excited to read Holden’s story. Personally I like this story line way more than The Substitute. I felt that Holden and Meena’s fears and set backs were more relatable than Nate and Ainsley.

The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars was the fact that I don’t know Spanish. I felt like I was missing some important things, so I was constantly using google to translate almost all of the Spanish spoken words. Some I could figure out, but would look them up just to be sure. It was very frustrating going back and forth between the book and google in order to understand everything happening. Having the translated worlds in the text would’ve been very beneficial and allowing everyone to understand what is happening without doing so much jumping around.

Otherwise is was a great book!

Holden and Meena!! Who knew a single father could be so hot and so dirty?!? I guess, the answer is Xavier Neal because she wrote their story.

Holden has lost his wife and raising, or trying to raise, his children alone. But as nanny after nanny quits, he's struggling. Then here comes Meena. *sigh* There's a back story, which I won't go into because, of course, it'll give away too much of the story. But as always, the path these two walk is not smooth, not without potholes.

Xavier Neal, you continue to amaze me with every book you write. Just when I think you can't top the ones already published, you prove me wrong. As you know, I have my very favorite, but The Hacker is definitely in my top 10 of your books. Congratulations on the new release, Xavier!

Once again Ms. Neal has written a story that will have you in its grasp from the get go. The plot and the characters are just amazing.

Holden is a sexy widower who’s attempting to raise his kids the best he can. After losing nanny after nanny, Meena walks back into his life and seems to be just the answer he’s looking for in the way of a nanny for his kids. But as fate would have it, things take an intimate turn as well and with their past history ….Sorry I’ll just leave it at that because I don’t do spoilers. What I will do is recommend this book very highly. It’s funny, sexy and exciting. It will keep you glued to the pages from start to finish. I offer you 2 Thumbs Up for a very well written book with a fantastic storyline that you should 1-click asap, you won’t regret it!

Control is not everything

A love, a longing, a sacrifice to save someone you need all leads back to the truth.
The hard line and blame that Holden so desperately wants to believe he controls, finally reconnects to a truth that he was blinded by guilt to see.
Meena was the absolutely right person to love fully and completely.
Xavier Neal once again does not shy away from the very real, terrifying and important parts of living. Love and family isn't about blood only. It's about that commitment to not run or push away the very love that can save you. Friends, bros tell you the stuff you need to hear when it's warranted. They don't let you crap all over the good. Looking forward to reading about Pax and Wyatt soon.

Dayum what a way to start a book, Holden is a beast, “you come when I say.” My unequivocal declaration is from behind gritted teeth. “You belong to me now.” Meena is not shy about letting her man know he messed up, “I’m sorry. That was… a ***k thing to say.” Meena’s attention doesn’t move from where it is planted out the wind shield. I repeat the sentiment, “I’m really sorry, baby. That was… I shouldn’t have said that.” When she still doesn’t respond, I let out a defeated sigh, and start the vehicle." I loved this book, Holden was a stiffler for certain things and Meena was perfect for him, the girl shook his world upside down.

Xavier knows just how to hook you into her books, this book is no exception, from the very first scene you are totally hooked! The characters are very well developed, they are likeable and real, the story line is simply brilliant and makes it a total page turner as you'll be desperate to know more. As with all of Xavier's stories there's never a straight road to happiness , that is what makes her writing so amazing.Holden and Meena will totally captivate you, this story has suspense, the sexiness we all love and humour. What else could a girl want?!?! Oh, did I mention it has a sexy as hell single Dad too?!!

Good Stuff

This was good solid writing and very entertaining story from the start.I love the fact that we see Holden's character evolve into not being a slave to his computers or from the things in his past.I love how the children are in the story ,and how real there personalities truly are a job well done.Now I'm a little antsy on the whole Conquer thing ,that threw me a little.This was a story not only about love it was about dealing with life.Also the topic of the exploitation of children is real and the writer handles it beautifully.If you are following this series good for you if not shame on you because you are really missing out on a really fun time.

Wow, I really enjoyed this book. It was a great story that was well written and flowed well. Holden and Meena had some super hot chemistry. I loved them together. One thing that I must mention is this, when Meena was speaking in Spanish, I wish that it had been translated so I could know exactly what she said. I had to use what little Spanish I learned in school to try and figure out what she was saying and I was not always successful.....lol. Aside from that, the book was great. Great job, Xavier Neal.

The Hacker (The Bro Series Book 2) by Xavier Neal is an excellent read. The book focuses on Holden and Meena. This is a beautiful romance. Both of these characters are strong and complex. I loved the chemistry between these two and also the banter between them. A great, engaging and engrossing storyline that is well written adds to your enjoyment of this book. I highly recommend this sexy, hot, emotional and sweetly touching book. I am posting and honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

The Hacker was another great read by the author. The Hacker is one book you won't want to miss out on reading this fall it was entertaining, thrilling and sexy all in one great package. Holden is sexy and smart he has two kids and he hires a nanny in which happens to be Meena who has a history with in the past. Meena was also sexy and smart and wonderful female character. Ok, I loved Holdens personality in the substitute but his book was more than what I was even hoping for!! Meena is so great! She is smart, beautiful, and has a good bite when she is making her point… which is typically a good one! Holden just broke me with his story and I loved seeing him in his controlling protector mode, even when it’s sometimes overdone. The kids are precious and I loved how real and perfect they felt. The rest of the bros are great as well and I definitely loved Wyatt. I’m excited to learn more about Pax too because he seems like a mystery still.

Xavier has written the epic novel! In the Hacker, Holden and Meena find their way back together! The story starts out Hot and stays that way the whole way through! Of course there is crime and danger and love! Meena and Holden's story starts in a college classroom, but doesn't end there! Even with a long lapse of time, they come back together, secrets are revealed and Love lost re emerges! A Must read! Always press 111111111

I was hooked from the very first page. Loved this story with the tormented, struggling to be good single father Holden. An intense character, dripping with sex, and doing his best to bring pedophiles to the end of their evilness.

Meena is the one time nanny from years ago which now comes back into his life again as the nanny, but this time Holden is a widower.

The fireworks between them sizzles, and the sex was super hot. Loved this book!

OMGoddess this book is fantastic. Holden and Meena are perfect. This journey they go on together is so adventures. Meena is a woman I can relate to. Holden is the man of many dreams. I even love the secondary characters in this book. You can read this as a standalone, but I recommend reading book 1 first. This is a most read book. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

I loved The Hacker! I loved how many layers this book went through and how seemlessly they transitioned into each other. I loved Holden’s Alpha nerdiness and seeing his love for his kids just made my heart melt. And Meena’s dedication not only to her own family but to Holden’s was so special to see. Love this book. Love this series.

You've been hacked.

This book started off with a bang. Holden and Meena fight against themselves in hopes of having a solid foundation. There are many underlying "secrets" that Holden is hidden but onces the secrets are out and the battle is won Holden and Meena find themselves in a race against time to save a love one. Recommend this read.

Wow!!!

Holden's story was quite engrossing. Boy, was he dealt a crappy hand. He truly loves his kids. This is a definite must read. Great second book in the series. I know Pax story is next, but Wyatt is the one I am most curious about.😊😊 I love how other series/book characters are woven in the storyline. Eagerly awaiting the remaining books to be published this year!
