From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Best Selling Author Vivian Wood
Secrets can kill.
Harper wanted Sean to dominate her, to degrade her… and she loved every second of it. Every hot, gasping-for-breath, clenching-the-sheets moment. She loved to have him looming over her, dictating her every move. She got off on it.
But now it’s too real. Their relationship has gotten complicated and dark, fast.
For Sean, Harper is more than just a good f*ck. She’s quickly becoming an obsession. When she pulls him from the fire yet again, he can’t pretend that she’s not the center of his world.
But Harper’s got secrets too, and hers are twice as deadly. When she finally starts to unravel, they will both have to find a way to save themselves -- and each other -- if they want to stay together.
Obsession by Vivian Wood is the second book of the Addiction duet. I would recommend reading bk 1 Addiction in order to understand what is going on in bk 2 . The events start 2 weeks after the epic cliffhanger in Addiction. I couldn’t believe the emotions that start this book off- shame, anger, fear and distrust. It is a whirlwind of emotions. Sean is in jail but Harper hasn't heard anything from Sean since he was arrested and is up on whole lot of charges on what Ashton accused him of and she doesn’t know what to think or do. Harper is back to living with a friend when Connor shows up and ask her for a huge favor. Harper then finds out about Sean’s family and that leaves her wondering if she ever really knew him at all. She didn’t know anything about them yet they knew about her. Sean’s brother needs Harper –he needs her to be the stable force for Sean- to be that someone reliable to live with him yet what he doesn’t know is Harper is the least stable person because she has more demons than Sean and she herself needs the help for she is drowning. Sean has his alcohol abuse while Harper has her eating disorder—My heart hurt for them both. Can they save each other? Sean and Harper in this book had out of this world chemistry , their love was put to the test over and over again. Many times I thought, because of how rocky things were, their love was over but I was so wrong. Their journey was difficult but it shows you what comes out on the other side. When you strive to be good, to be better, to be there thru the thick and the thin for your love. The only issue I had was with the Sean/Ashton. I felt that wasn’t so clear. I wish that was cleared up more. Overall this was such a good read.
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
ARC was provided..But, as I'v written in my review of Addiction, here goes the same review. I didn't like it much..It was all about eating disorder or whatever. Ok, I agree that eating disorder & alcohol addiction is an important subject but this was all about that. I didn't like Harper much. Previous Vivian books were really good but this was is low on my list unfortunately..:(
Highly anticipated conclusion to Addiction does not disappoint. Filled with passion, heart pounding action, and an emotional roller-coaster that will make you laugh just as fast as it makes you cry.
Sean and Harper are highly explosive together and flirt with the line of sexy and dark. Their relationship is on the brink of HEA and completely falling apart. Dangerous secrets around the corner and emotional turmoil that can be the fuse that detonates it all. Could not stop reading from beginning to end I devoured this thrilling romantic journey.
I won't call this book 2 as I think the author should have simply made this a part of Addicted. No way was this worth another $4. Typos abounded as they did in Addicted, only here the editing, story cohesion, characterization, and basic logic of the story was pretty much gone.
Harper and Sean are in a complicated time in there relationship. Sean is in Jail and has a whole bunch of charges. Harper is living with a friend when Connor shows up and ask her for a favor. when they see each other is a whole lot of emotions on both sides. as they try and live together a bunch of things pop up and test their already unstable relationship. will they be able to stand with each other or will they fall apart and lose what they have? this book is emotional and will make you cry at some points. It's hot and steamy with just about everything in between. this book I amazing She grabs your right from the start and doesn't let go till the end. I would recommend this book to anyone. make sure your a Addition first so you understand it all.
I received this book as an Arc in return for honest review. Harper and Sean's story continues in second book in series. Sean is in jail but Harper hasn't heard anything. Their individual lives and relationship is up in the air. When Sean's family ask for her help in return for free place to stay, she has to decide what to do. Can she be in same house without allowing herself to care for him again? Does Sean even want her? Will they find their way back together? I loved this book! Its a must read!
I think the first book was better. This one we about the closure that Sean and Harper needs to get with their addictions. This books had to much going on to be great. It was good for finding out what happens to them.
Ugh, was really hoping I'd love the final book after the drama of the first. My opinion of Harper still hasn't changed much after this book, unfortunately, and I still pretty much hate her as a character. She was still incredibly judgmental of others and herself, all she talked about in this book were calories and how fat she was, and she was pretty stubborn. Seriously, the book was mostly about her eating disorder and it wasn't pretty, but rather incredibly depressing and sad. I understand that it's a real mental problem that should be addressed, but it overshadowed every other thing that could have made the book great - like the rebuilding of their relationship after the ending of the first book. I honestly just got tired of hearing her beat herself up over eating after the first half. In the end, she redeems herself and gets help and I grow to like the new Harper, but by then, it was a little too late for me. I also don't feel as though she communicated with Sean very well. I mean who calls a friend to take her to the hospital instead of her boyfriend sleeping next to her?!?
Now on to Sean - I still love him, even after he screws up at the end of Book 1. He realized his mistake and did something to get better. He willingly went to AA meetings, he worked to mend relationships, he worked to become a better brother and employee. And despite how crazy I found Harper to be, he was incredibly dedicated to her and wanted her to get better for her own well-being. There wasn't much not to like about him. Sure, he was just as broken as her in the beginning there, but he was truly working on bettering himself. I thought he got off the hook too easily, but that's what a good lawyer can buy.
For the BDSM aspects, they were pretty intense in one scene (knife play) - a little too much for me to enjoy.
The writing wasn't bad for this series, I just didn't feel connected with the subject matter and my dislike of Harper made me really struggle to find the good in the book.
2 & 1/2 stars rounded up. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book. I'm conflicted on how to rank/review this book. The 2 books weren't written badly, but the content was just too heavy for me to find any enjoyment. I had to struggle to not put it down & quit reading. I found myself looking for other things to do besides reading this. This book picked up from the previous book, & is dependent on the first book or a reader will be lost. This started off slow, though it did move more smoothly part way in. I personally didn't like Sean & Harper in the first book, & still don’t like them in this one, I can't name the reason why either. I did feel the ending was rushed, & that it takes more time than was allowed to overcome the issues they had, which made it less plausible. The whole dark feel of the story, the eating disorder, the addiction issues & the BDSM type scene were a total turn off for me. I read to escape my life & the bad things going on in the world. I want uplifting stories that entertain me, this did not do that. I hope others will enjoy this more than me.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Really enjoyed this one. Wow. Pulled me in from the first page & kept me on the edge of my seat...
Let me start by saying Addiction and Obsession by Vivian Wood REALLY NEEDS to come with a content warning. When I checked, I did not find any CWs or TWs in the beginning of the audiobooks, physical books, or even on the author's website. There are some very sensitive topics discussed in explicit detail. Given the depth and length that the sensitive topics are discussed, it is irresponsible to forego the CW.
This duet delves into two types of addictions while exploring the budding relationship between Sean, a tattoo artist, and Harper, a model. In Addiction, the story begins when Harper walks into Sean's tattoo parlor and he is filled with insta-lust. What comes next is more so a study in the two MCs addictions -- their inner dialogue and cognitive dissonance, convoluted feelings, physical sensations and experiences, as well as descriptive details -- than it is a spicy romance. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some spicy dark-ish scenes, including domination, restraints and pain for pleasure. However, there are also long stretches where the plot's sole focus is the MCs relationships with their addictions, not each other.
I went into this book relatively clueless, so I was conflicted as I began navigating the tough topics. As a person in the recovery community, the MCs inner dialogue, faulty reasoning, and selfish thoughts while under the influence resonated with me. Much of their struggles mirrored my struggles of deciding to get clean and then the challenges during early recovery. If nothing else, this novel nails what it is like to live under the oppressive feelings of addiction (until the end of the second novel when it gets a little too HEA too quickly. But it is a fictional novel, so I'll give the author leeway to deviate from real life and wrap up the story with a cute little bow / HEA.)
If you are in early recovery for , I highly recommend taking a step back from this story and evaluating where you are with your mental health and recovery. Parts of the story could absolutely be triggering and / or cause cravings.
Do I recommend this novel as a spicy romance novel? No. It doesn't hit enough on the couple's relationship enough for me. Do I recommend this novel as a study of addictive thoughts and actions? Absolutely.

Wow....this book was amazing!! I didn't expect either of the stories to be so intense and explore such heavy issues, which, in my opinion, were done very well. Seriously, I really couldn't help myself. I was totally engrossed in this storyline from the very beginning.
This story continues and jumps right into the legal troubles of Sean, who is a recovering alcoholic. Harper is the woman he truly cares for but is afraid of losing because he's ashamed of the man he is; the man who had succumbed to the powers of alcohol. This is all new to Sean. He never thought that he could or would feel this deeply about a woman. But darn it if Harper doesn't have her own issues. As a model, she struggles heavily with eating disorders and body image distortion. My heart really went out to her, and I wanted so desperately to shake her, to help her see that although no one is perfect, she is amazing. Harper really had a hard time recognizing her beauty, both inside and out.
Ms. Wood is so good at getting readers to feel the heat between her characters. The love between Harper and Sean is undeniable and one of a kind. The chemistry between these two is so hot & steamy, they can't seem to stay away from each other, no matter how hard they try. Not being able to resist any longer, they inevitably jump right back into a strong, intense, Dom/sub sexual relationship. Let me just add, the scene with the blade had me quite nervous though and a little on edge. I was very relieved when it all worked out, although I definitely won't be trying any of that at home!!...whew!!
I commend Sean for how strong, caring, and concerned he was for Harper while he was finally getting himself together. He was there for her all the way, even when she couldn't see it or didn't realize it. It WAS a little frustrating seeing Harper not relying on Sean when he'd proven himself trustworthy. No matter what, Sean didn't let that deter him. He showed her over and over again that he could be someone she could depend on, someone to help her, be her strength.
The love that Harper and Sean have for each other is the beautiful kind--the kind that's been tested, met with many difficulties, unexpected discoveries, and devastating losses, but came out the other end stronger and better--Tried and True!
**Other Characters: I loved Sean's brother Connor, and Connor's wife Sam. No matter how difficult, Connor did everything possible to be there for his brother. In this story, he's a man of few words, but he's also loving, kind, strong, loyal, forgiving...
"P" (Philip)--Harper's friend...he held back no punches, straight up, hilarious as hell, but REAL...and exactly what Harper needed in a friend...
**Still couldn't like Ashton though...he was a selfish, self-centered jack@$$!! Sean is a better person than I am because there's no way I'd even have two words left for him other than, f... forget you...lol...!
Obsession - əbˈsɛʃ(ə)n/ - they were obsessed with each other, and I am with their story.
This is book two in the Addiction Duet, and finished off Sean and Harpers story beautifully. It picks up where Addiction ended, with Sean getting arrested in front of Harper, so you HAVE to read that book first.
Sean had been living life on his own terms, overcoming his addiction to alcohol and working as a tattooist, all without the help of his family’s trust fund. Harper was everything to him and life was great. Then his friend Ashton woke up from his coma, and pointed the finger at him – for everything. Falling off the wagon, punching an officer while getting arrested, and getting landed with a whole host of drug felony charges that Ashton was blaming him for was Sean’s new low. Sometimes help from the family and family money just has to be accepted with grace.
Harper hadn’t heard from Sean since the arrest, and had no idea where things between them stood. When Sean’s brother, Connor gets in touch and needs her help, she is angry at finding out about Sean’s affluent family background given the way she thought their relationship had been moving forward. Sometimes, the people you love have their own reason for not opening up entirely. Afterall, her own secret, her own personal addiction is potentially deadly.
Obsession is a beautifully written book about love, forgiveness, acceptance and recovery. It is less about BDSM and more about a couple overcoming addictive behaviour, falling in love and working into a mutual need through love and respect. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still as hot and intense as Vivian’s writing ever is, I just don’t want any potential reader to see the term and think it’s not for them. It’s a book that I highly recommend!
Addiction and Obsession. Two fantastic books that together make for one fantastic story. 5 Stars.
Finding the strength within to move on and forward, but fortunately, together.
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Obsession (Addiction Duet Book #2) written by Vivian Wood and voluntarily reviewed this book. It is hard to believe that a mere three months has passed since Harper had shown up to get tattooed at Sean’s parlor, but so much has happened since that fateful meeting. Sean’s past actions, which have led to his best friend ending up in a coma and himself in AA are further tested when his friend wakes up, and he is angry…so angry that he files a lawsuit against Sean. Sean’s brother comes to lend his support, setting him up under the best care that he could - he makes an arrangement with Harper while they await further developments. However, after having witnessed Sean out of control, there is now a wide gulf between them, and Sean doesn’t know how to work himself over it back to Harper. But a new development arrives that will push them to come together for another reason, and forces Harper to realize just how deeply the LA modeling scene and industry have dug their destructive claws into Harper’s whole psyche, and she takes the tentative step forward to dealing with her eating disorders. Sean now sees the physical signs and realizes just how badly Harper needs intervention, and he vows to do all he can to help her, by giving her strength, support, and his love to see differently and feel differently about herself.
Great ending to Sean and Harper’s story, with both characters growing out of the boxes they felt they couldn’t free themselves from, realizing how they can right some wrongs just by caring and reaching out to others.
I had to get this as fast as possible and then it felt so short! I want-need- more of this.
This picks up a few weeks after Addiction ends, with Sean and Harper in very dark places.
I love that we get to see Connor a bit more here and see him care for his brother as best as he could.
When we find Sean and Harper again they are fighting and struggling and one more time Vivian Wood did an amazing job at portraiting the emotions and fears each character had. The readers get sucked into their lives, their needs. We see a lot more of Harpers inner workings here, how she rationalizes everything .
This was the perfect ending for the story. Sean and Harper are an stablished couple, they have their problems, sure, and they still have to get through their own problems but they support each other and work it out.
One of the things I really like about this duet is that there isn’t one broken character and one hell bent on fixing them. They are both broken and none think they can really “fix” the other or push them to recorvery. They sinple are there trying to help at the best of their habilities. No judging, just their love.
The other think I really enjoyed is how the Dom/Sub dynamic worked in here. At first Sean was the one in charge of everything and in Obssession we do see this side of him, specially when Harper needs it the most. But she comes to be herself, stops doubting everything and we get to see the string woman she can become too and Sean gives her the room to do it.
Honestly, This books are some of the best I’ve read in a while. A rollercoaster of emotions. I guess their topics are not for everyone but they are treated in a realistic and considerate way. I’ll miss Sean and Harper and I really hope Vivian gives me an epilogue sometime soon ;)
Obsession picks up about two weeks after the cliffy in Addiction. I was so uncomfortable reading the start; I could feel Sean's shame, Harper's anger & distrust, and the fear oozing from both of them. Secrets. You learn a lot about Harper from her distorted thoughts, the parts you don't see on the surface unless you know to look for them. But Sean knows, and as the two are fighting their individual demons together, he still has the ability to offer Harper some subtle guidance. Their attraction to each other overrides the awkwardness of the situation and they return to their BDSM relationship. These scenes are scorching! Every time these two characters get knocked back, they actually get stronger and braver and take action. So much more I’d like to say, but I don't want to give anything away. This is a duet, and you cannot read Obsession without Addiction. The characters are both struggling with their own issues and strong secondary characters provide support (everyone needs a P in their life!). As tough as it gets, and you get emotionally dragged over their rocky course, they never give up and working hard to move forward in themselves and together. Ms Woods takes you on this difficult journey with Sean and Harper and then brings you out the other side. Beautifully written story with difficult subject matter and a lovely HEA.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
Obsession by Vivian Wood is the second book of the Addiction duet. In order to understand the story you need to read the first book. With that being said we start where we left off on the first book. Sean has fallen back to his addiction and is in jail now. Harper is left disappointed, lost, hurt and she hasn’t heard from Sean ever since he when in. Sean’s brother looks for Harper to help him out to get Sean out. He need someone stable , reliable to live with him and Harper decides to help out. But in reality Harper is the least stable she has her own issues and she really needs more help than Sean.
This book had me on edge. The characters where so real , the chemistry off the charts and their love was amazingly hot. Sean and Harper both dealing with addictions and fighting for each other is so real. Two people that love each other but are afraid of losing it because of their own problems. Their D/S relationship is dark and hot very intense but it helps them and they are more connected than ever.
Obsession was an amazing conclusion for this duet it had me flipping pages so fast I finished in one day. A story about love and the struggle of real life problems with addiction and self image . Well written Vivian knocked it out the park. If you like a real story with great characters and dark this is for you!!! I received an ARC for my honest review. 5 start read.
I found that I didn't like this book as much as I liked the first book Addiction. This book centered more along the lines of Harper and her disorder. It wasn't easy reading it, that's for sure, especially when you add in the little twist. I actually wanted to scream at her because of the things she was thinking and her inability to have faith in Sean and his love for her. But then again, I knew I couldn't because her thoughts were mentally drilled into her as a young girl and she couldn't fight them, at first. Once she started going down the right path and fighting for herself, then I started liking her more. Sean wasn't the smartest in this book either. He was right to wait until she came to him but he could have stood up more and been an alpha outside of the bedroom. I also wasn't to thrilled with how the whole Sean/Ashton thing panned out. Ashton's reasoning was so stupid and nothing that a smart adult would have used, then again he probably wasn't a smart adult. While I didn't enjoy this book as much as Addiction I still enjoyed it. It really opens your mind and perspective when it comes to eating disorders and what some people will do to look and feel "perfect." *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.*
❤️🌼🔥VIVIAN WOOD HAS OFFICIALLY BECOME ANOTHER ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS❤️🌼🔥 ❤️🌼🔥Theoretically, I suppose, any book can be read as a StandAlone, but there are some that are just not meant to be read alone or out of order, and Vivian Wood’s ADDICTION DUET is two books that MUST be read in order... (1)ADDICTION SHOULD DEFINITELY BE READ BEFORE (2)OBSESSION, so if you haven’t already read ADDICTION, you are not going to enjoy OBSESSION as much, since OBSESSION (on sale for 99cents for a short time, I’m sure) continues the love story of Sean and Harper, beginning in ADDICTION, and, in fact, OBSESSION picks up right where ADDICTION ends....which was not a good place .❤️🌼🔥 Everyone knows life and love are not always, easy and smooth....sometimes there are so many obstacles put in a couple’s path, it can do one of two things...it can either break them, or it can make them stronger.....and hotter...❤️🌼🔥 I loved this duet, and I can hardly wait to read more of Vivian Wood’s books....she has obviously been writing a while due to the amount of books she has out, but I’ve just “discovered” her, and I am truly thankful for that.....❤️🌼🔥 Don’t miss this duet...you will be missing some really good books...PLUS, we all love those covers, right? ❤️🌼🔥
The blurb for this one gives the impression that something really intense would happen, but honestly it was more lighthearted than the first book for the most part. It was mostly about recovery and growth, which I don’t mind at all. Just felt a bit mislead.
Some of the issues felt like they were solved a bit too quickly, like being brushed aside. A little annoying but overall not the worst. And other issues dragged a bit. Just needed a bit more balance.
I do appreciate that the writer was brave enough to include the miscarriage. This might sound cold, not sure. But this stuff does happen and it should have representation. There’s a lot of books that will kind of start down this road but the fetus will still somehow magically be fine just so there will be drama but a baby can still happen. And I imagine that can be frustrating for people who have gone through it.
The sex scenes were a bit more interesting so that was a nice surprise. But overall otherwise the pacing was kind of slow, and maybe revolved around the calorie counting a bit too much. Not to say Harper’s thoughts weren’t accurate to some people’s experience. It’s just a bit much for the reader and gets a bit repetitive.

Harper and Sean's story continues in this book. Sean is in jail and Harper is trying to figure out what to do about her career. She's also in denial about her eating disorders. Conner, Sean's brother, asks Harper if she would help provide a stable environment for Sean to get released into. He would provide an apartment and everything. Harper agreed but was hurt and unsure about her relationship with Sean. She hadn't even heard from him the 2 weeks he was in jail. Things are awkward and these two don't know what to do about the other. Each knows they have an obsession and they tiptoe around everything. Finally they can't keep their hands off one another - the chemistry is still off the charts. Harper has another secret and knows that she needs to tell Sean. She also realizes she needs to get help for her disorders. Will Sean and Harper be able to work through this and come back stronger for it? There is so much that happens in this sequel and I don't want to give anything away. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
The story picks up right after the doozy of a cliffhanger from Addiction with Sean in a lot of trouble and Harper staying at her friend P's since she has had to move out of the house with the models and find another job. They haven't seen each other since the incident and when Sean's brother, Connor, asks Harper to move in with Sean so he has a stable place to stay so he can avoid jail, she can't refuse since she has no job and no place of her own but how will that affect the two of them with everything going on and their relationship up in the air. A great steamy read that felt like an emotional roller coaster ride between the two with all the addictions, their pasts and secrets that they have to overcome to finally move on and break free....heartbreaking and emotional at times but to get through it all can only make them stronger together. Along with the friend P who was like the comic break needed because of some of the intense issues in this read made it difficult to put down until I was done. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
This was the second book in the series, and I wouldn’t call them romance books. They’re marketed to be bdsm romance books, and while it does have that in the series these books are all about eating disorders with a side of smut. Also don’t read these if you don’t want to read about miscarriage.
Shocker the ED girl accidentally got pregnant and then had a miscarriage bc she couldn’t support the baby and what really made it worse was after 12 hours the characters were just like “it’s okay I’ve moved on and I’m relieved” and she miraculously works on her ED.
As somebody that has had an ED the portrayed recovery in this book was highly unrealistic. Somebody in as bad condition as she was would have been inpatient and would have seriously struggled with getting better.
I feel like if the author embraced making the series about a girl overcoming her ED, instead of slapping a romance label on it, and actually took her time to build up the story and character development it could have been a great series. Instead it was very rushed, and that definitely ruined it.
Obsession- Wow. Descriptive statement right? After reading Addiction, I have been waiting with eager eyes to get ahold of this book to see what happens between Harper, Sean and all the demons they face. Talk about another whirlwind emotions! Gail force winds is more like it - Holy mother of feels batman! My brain is mush! Throughout this scarily descriptive novel, it felt like I was right there with them both ( though had I been, Id been the parent smacking them upside the heads ) feeling what they were, wondering if I would have felt the same way. Eye opening to say the least. So, much goes on, I am not going to give a synopsis for this one, the intricately detailed storyline I believe should just be read. This heartwrenching true to life, frustrating, had me thinking romance is part of a duet that I believe is one of the 10 best books I have read this year. Vivian Wood has IMO created a masterpiece!
Omg this book is so good full of romance, tragedy, love and second chances. Vivian Wood has become one of my favorite writes with these amazing books. This is the conclusion of Sean and Harper’s story. With Sean in jail things between the two of them not good, Sean has contacted Harper it when Harper is asked to help Sean out she’s there for him. With living in the same apartment it’s hard to avoid each other she when things come to a head they can’t keep there hands of each other but things are about to get harder for them again. Harper has a secret and doesn’t know how to tell Sean. When she tells him hey find they both are happy and will face life together. Sadly throngs aren’t meant to be but through it all they become closer and Harper is getting help for her Eating Disorder when everything starts to come together for Sean and Harper Sean has one more thing he needs to ask. What will Sean ask Harper. To find out you have to read Obsession.
Obsession is the second book in The Addiction duet and concludes Sean and Harper's story. When we left them at the end of Addiction, Sean had relapsed and was being arrested right in front of Harper. Connor helps get Sean out of jail and Sean's attorney has an idea that if Sean were to be in a stable environment with some support, it would go a long way to getting some of the charges dropped or at least reduced. Connor gets Sean an apartment and gets Harper to move in with him as the support. What no one realizes is that it's Harper who needs the most help.
I enjoyed reading this story to find out what happens with this couple, but I have to admit that I was a bit underwhelmed. I was thoroughly engrossed in the first book and was excited to read the conclusion, but it all seemed a bit rushed. Don't get me wrong, I really did like reading the conclusion to this duet. There was just a lot going on and in such a short period of time - I just felt like it could have been drawn out a little longer. Still, it was a very good read and I look forward to reading more from Vivian!
A very well written and captivating story. I am never disappointed when it comes to stories from Vivian Wood. She has a writing style and use of words that is unique and amazes me. This is the second book and it is a sequel to the first so you have to have read Addiction to get the whole story about Harper and Sean. This story line and plot is a great read. It has twists that are surprising and makes the reader want to know what happens next. The characters are Sean and Harper and they are well described and develops nicely through the story. I like the strong characters. Vivian Wood has again taking the to taboo subjects eating disorder and alcohol abuse and included them in a story. It makes the story real because these are real life problems. Sometimes the subjects was to deep for me but that is maybe on me. This story has secrets, addiction issues, passion, lust and emotional ups and downs. It is an enjoyable read.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author. The conclusion of Sean and Harper's story if you read Addiction you know that both Sean and Harper had demons that somewhat seemed beyond repair. They both had addictions Sean's being alcohol and Harper had an eating disorder which she kept from everyone even Sean, but I think he kind of knew. Book one ended in a cliffhanger with Sean kind of relapsing. Think goodness we only had to wait a month for the conclusion and boy was it a conclusion. It was steamy. They still dealt with their addictions, there were some surprises and some losts. This book had me going through all my emotions. This series was a must read for me and I know that anyone would love these stories. I will definitely read this series over and over again I'm that much in love with it. Whatever you do give this duo a shot you will not regret it and see if both Harper and Sean battle their demons for their HEA
