A Kiss for Miss Kingsley:

Olivia Kingsley is back in London after spending three years in the Tropics, dragged away by her eccentric father. Just before learning she would have to leave England, Allen Wimpleton had asked her to marry him, and when told, he gives Olivia an ultimatum: they elope and get married, or else they’re done. Olivia leaves with her family, heartbroken because Allen would not wait the one year the trip was initially supposed to last. Having no reason to remain in the Caribbean, Olivia needs to see Allen at least once more, so she and her brother Bradford arrive at a haut Ton function uninvited, so Olivia can see Allen and maybe get to understand why he acted the way he did. But upon setting eyes on him, Olivia remembers why she had been so infatuated with Allen, and he with her, but how can the damage be undone?

Collette Cameron’s A KISS FOR MISS KINGSLEY is a wink of a story! For a short story, the characters are admirably well defined, and I was wishing to know more about Bradford, because he’s irresistible! The banter between Bradford and Olivia and Bradford’s Aunt Muriel is priceless; it felt so natural, while being playful and funny. The prose is refined, light and sparkling like the best champagne. The descriptions are wonderfully vivid and at times quite hilarious. A KISS FOR MISS KINGSLEY is utterly charming, perfectly romantic; it’s a story that will leave you feeling happy and content!

Bride of Falcon: to be read

Her Scandalous Wish:

I swear Collette Cameron nearly gave me a fit of the vapours with HER SCANDALOUS WISH! Philomena Pomfrett must marry as quickly as possible; her brother Giles has a fragile heart which could give out any day, and they are almost out of funds. Things look grim as Philomena was severely burned in a fire years before, where her parents died. The love of her life, Bradford, now Viscount Kingsley, vanished; she never heard from him, and Philomena’s heart was shattered. And so, trying to choose the less repulsive of her present suitors, who should be attending the Wimpleton’s ball, but Bradford.

This novella is grandiose! The story is extremely complex and fabulously compelling, there are plot twists every few pages, nothing happened the way I expected; at some places, I thought my heart would break. And what about the sumptuous, luminous, exquisite prose! Ms. Cameron is a wordsmith beyond compare! Every word is perfectly chosen, everything absolutely in context, the dialogues are glorious, there are a few quite humorous touches! Sublime!

To Tame a Scoundrel’s Heart:

Katrina Needham is betrothed, or almost; she will be when Major Domont asks, if he ever does that is. Meanwhile, Captain Dominic St. Monté, Nic, has unexpectedly become a duke, and even though women flock to him and he needs a wife, he wants someone suitable. Katrina, although wealthy, is not from the ton, and while she gapes at Nic, she cannot be that dukely wife he seeks. Katrina had briefly met Nic a few years prior, and it seems he’s forgotten her – the rogue! – while the teenaged Katrina daydreamed about the dashing privateer.

I had a smile on my face right from the start. Ms. Cameron’s lively descriptions make everything so vivid, I nearly pinched my nose a time or two at some rather revolting things, in our modern eyes! Collette Cameron possesses an unmatched vocabulary, every witticism is perfectly chosen and some bons mots are often quite hilarious. The story itself is quite simple, and utterly delectable: everything is in the delightful dialogues, the wonderful characterisations, the colourful and oft amusing images the author so accurately paints, and most of all the wonderful rapport between Nic, Katrina, and also the irrepressible Miss. Sweeting. Ms. Cameron’s writing is like the most luxurious cashmere: warm, light, timeless, elegant, and it always feels so good. TO TAME A SCOUNDREL’S HEART is hopelessly addictive: I had something else to do, but I couldn’t stop reading; Katrina and Nic’s story was simply too good! TO TAME A SCOUNDREL’S HEART should come with a warning: lovers of the English language, be prepared to ooh and aah, sigh and smile, and aficionados of historical romance, brace yourselves: TO TAME A SCOUNDREL’S HEART could induce one to swoon!

The Wallflower’s Wicked Wager:

Davenswood Court, Buckinhamshire August 1819

On the eve of her twenty-first birthday, at a house party, Shona, Lady Atterberry, is sitting in the greenhouse all by herself. Shone is socially inept, does not correspond to the ton’s standards of beauty, and she fled the usual tormentors to isolate herself to find peace and quiet. It’s become worse since on her birthday, Shona is to become a Lady Lord of Parliament, the Scottish equivalent to a barony, thus an important person, and wealthy to boot. And money-grabbing suitors and their mamas are now noticing her. Shona then sees a man who looks quite angry, then Mrs. Olson with her nincompoop of a son, Clarence, come within Shona’s earshot, and she flees. Unfortunately, clumsy girl that she is, Shona stumbles and falls in a lake. Fortuitously, the irate man she had noticed earlier jumps right into the water and saves her. Morgan Le Draco might not be pretty, but he is a gentleman, and he will not look away when someone is in distress. Morgan, a former Dragoon, is scarred, he lost an eye and some of his hearing in an explosion; he is also looking for work, any kind of work. He doesn’t have much left: no money, his life is empty, but his heart is in the right place. And for the first time, Shona is immediately comfortable with someone. Shona wants to be kissed, and that’s her wicked wager.

Shona is a klutz, she dreams of someone to love her, and she only sees the good in Morgan. Morgan is used to women averting their eyes, children running away, and is flabbergasted that Shona doesn’t seem to notice how disfigured he is, but sees only a lovely, charming, brave, respectful and very proud man. Morgan is nearly salivating at Shona’s unfashionable curves. It was lovely how both looked beyond appearances; both are used to being judged on how they look, not who they are, and they understand each other immediately.

When Shona and Morgan first meet, I had tears in my eyes; both see the good person behind the unfashionable façade, it is such a touching moment, especially when looking at the “beautiful people’s” behaviour. They also have difficult families to contend with. The descriptions are exceptionally vivid, in Ms. Cameron’s unmistakable colourful style. THE WALLFLOWER’S WICKED WAGER is a lovely romance of two misfits finding true love, and it will make your heart sigh with happiness.

A Kiss for Miss Kingsley
A short and sweet story about second chances. Sometimes the first time around doesn't work out but then the second time rolls around unexpectedly and it's as if time stood still for these two characters.

Bride of Falcon
Beautiful story about second chances and friendships. I just adored Falcon ,even though he was disabled somewhat he didn't let himself become bitter and reject possibilities in his life. Loved the story and the characters were just so loveable. Five stars

Her Scandalous Wish
Such a tale of tragedy and love. After surviving a fire and being left disfigured is a pretty harsh thing for a woman to bare. Trying to maneuver life as its crumbling around you is no better but love trumps physical appearances in the end most times if you are open to it. Lovely story of survival, loss and finding love.

To Tame a Scoundrels Heart
A woman torn between two men and finally seeing ones true colors and finding love.yes please an absolute delight reading about these characters and just how things were done. Five star read

The Wallflowers Wicked Wager
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A beautiful story about not loving by the standards of society's and overcoming hardships life has dealt you.Five Stars

All in all you can't go wrong with this box set . I previously read all these as standalones but after I recieved this box set I wanted to go back and reread the set again and I'm glad I did . Lovely stories that keep your turning pages

The Wallflower's Wicked Wager

The Wallflower's Wicked Wager is the latest release from Bestselling author Collette Cameron. It is the tale of a war ravaged captian who, through no fault of his own, has lost his commission. It is at this low point of his life that he meets the woman of his dreams. But what can he offer her? Nothing, and that's exactly why he cannot marry her. Being an heiress, she's far too above his station.

Lady Shona Atterberry is a confirmed spinster. Although a rare beauty, she does not meet the standard willowy form and porcelain features befitting a lady of her time. Shona is curvy and kissed by the sun, she's a bit of a free spirit. One evening she's tricked into a "wicked wager" that sets her on the path of ruination and threatens to keep her from the only man she's ever loved.

Will love find a way?

A Kiss for Miss Kingsley
Collette offers some very witty comments - had me laughing! Long ago love that never died. Unsure of her reception Olivia agrees to her aunt's "addlepated" scheme to show up uninvited to a ball where her love unattached love will be attending. Will he give her the cut direct or does he still love her. Allen thinks he knows who he plans on making his bride until his long ago love shows up unannounced at the ball he's attending. Has she come to rub it in that she refused him all those years ago or does she still love him.
Only "problem" with this SHORT story...it was TOO short! :-) Collette delivers as always!!!!

Bride of Falcon
Six years = five seasons. Five long seasons for Ivonne Wimpleton to accept that she is an undesirable. Six long years to realize & accept that the one man she has loved since she was 15 does not love her.

Six long years - that's how long Chancy Faulkenhurst, Falcon, has been away from England. Six years since he's seen the one girl he wants for a wife, one that whose father refused him six years ago. Now he's home, poor & disfigured, with little prospects to woe the girl he wants & to gain her father's approval.

During a house party given by Ivonne's parents she is pursued by a man she has no intention of ever marrying. In running from this man she literally bumps into none other than Falcon. The man she's loved for years, the man she wrote to but never received a letter in return. Why, oh why, has she run into him now when she's finally ready to get on with her life knowing there's no hope with him? And why is her stomach dong flips at the sight & smell of him?

Ivy, his Ivy, still so beautiful. But why is she running, why is she afraid? When her would be suitor follows her into the arbor & demands to know why she's in the arms of another man, Chancy realizes what she fears. As the conversation continues it becomes clear this man is not going to give up so Chancy says the first thing that enters his head - Ivy is promised to another. Such a simple statement leads to headaches for all involved when the Prince Regent demands to meet Ivy's intended. As Ivy considers her options Chancy is considering a move to America - he cannot stand to be in England if Ivy is married to another. As the days continue circumstances change. Will Chancy stay in England? Will he propose to Ivy? Will Ivy be able to marry for love or will she have to settle just to make the Prince Regent happy?

I'm a huge fan of Collette Cameron's & she never fails to entertain - complete with laughter & tears and Bride of Falcon is no exception. An EXCELLENT read.

Her Scandalous Wish
Philomena Pomfrett has endured much in her two and twenty years having lost her parents in a fire, a fire which has left her scarred, the betrayal of the love of her life & now her brother is dying from a heart ailment. She would love nothing more than to live a life of solitude but her brother’s dying wish is for her to marry before he passes so he will know she is taken care of. Which is why she is enduring a London season. Waiting in the garden for he brother Philomena escapes further in to avoid a would be suitor only to run into the one man she hoped to never see again.
Bradford, Viscount Kingsley, has returned to London after seven long years. Seven years in which he has tried to forget the devastation of losing the only woman he will ever love. At least he thought he had forgotten until he catches a glimpse of a beauty while at a ball that brings it all back. Escaping into the gardens to avoid matchmaking mommas Bradford is captivated by the golden haired beauty making the same wish he has made on a falling star. He feels he should know her.
Collette Cameron writes an outstanding novella full of betrayal, heartache, anger, tears and her own unique wit. Ms. Cameron’s ability to draw you into the characters will have you traveling the same roller coaster as Philomena & Bradford. So buckle in for a wonderful 5 star+ ride.

To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart
Katrina Needham was happy, in love, and anxiously waiting for the day she gets married; the only hitch in her plan is the man who states he loves her and wants to marry her has yet to ask. Off on duties for the military he keeps promising he’ll speak with her father when he returns. Weeks have passed with no word from him - so what’s a girl to do while waiting? A chance meeting gives her something to occupy her time and possibly more.
Dominic St. Monté just inherited the last thing he wants – a bloody title complete with sisters and responsibilities that will keep him bound to the land. What’s a new Duke to do? Marry of course and preferably a respectable, mild mannered lady who has no problem with her husband returning to his one true love – the sea. But how and where is on to find such a lady? A chance meeting may prove to be the solution or create a problem.
From their first meeting Dominic proves he is more than what Katrina has heard which may be more than she can handle. Katrina demonstrates everything Dominic wants in a wife, the only thing standing in his way – her almost engagement and his longing to return to sea. Add in a harpy, eccentric aunt, three sisters and the return of Katrina’s almost fiancée and you have a great story. Top it off with Collette Cameron’s unique wit and writing style and you have an exceptional story.

The Wallflower's Wicked Wager
There are three things about Shonna Atterberry: she’s emotionally scarred, she knows she’s socially inept, and she has no illusions about her beauty. Which is why she knows that the only reason the men of the ton want her is for her title. Until she’s rescued by the one man who can see the woman she truly is. Now can she convince him of the his worth and a future together in the short time they have together?
Captain Morgan Le Draco – a war hero with a face no one wants to look at and no prospects for the future (courtesy of his hated father) – despises what his life has become. Then the unexpected happens – a damsel in distress works her way into his heart; however, knowing he has nothing to offer, he refuses to act further than the little time they have. Can he be convinced otherwise?
Two wounded souls finding the worth in each other, despicable parents, loving friends, and a few weasels and you have a beautifully written tale by the talented Collette Cameron.
The fifth book in the A Waltz with a Rogue series can be read as a stand-alone.

A Kiss for Miss Kingsley

*I received a copy of the collection from the author in exchange for my honest review

This was just the quick little pickup read I needed. I got many laughs with this one from her aunt and brother. I loved how everything happened and played out in the garden. You could tell from the moment they saw each other again that they still loved each other.

Oliva was frightened and overwhelmed by everything. I loved her because she didn’t hide her feelings and was ready to face everyone again. She spoke from her heart.

Allen was left heartbroken when she left. I loved that his heart and body wasn’t going to let him avoid her. He was very understanding once he listened to her.

Bride of Falcon

One of the few times a rumor turns out to be a good thing! I was hooked from the start not knowing what was going to happen. I love that this one starts at the same ball as the first book and continues a bit of that story. There are a couple of twists with things and the proposal scene was one of the best!

Ivonne is not a force to me be messed with. I loved that she spoke her mind and didn’t hold back when telling someone off. She definitely knew how to protect herself and wasn’t shy.

Chance knew what his heart wanted, but thought he couldn’t follow it. I loved how he instantly was ready to help her and spoke freely with her. He didn’t hide his pain and or hold back either.

Her Scandalous Wish

This is my favorite so far! Many emotions and a few twists I didn’t see coming. It was a whirlwind of events and I loved it. I did not expect the twist of what he thought had happened to them or the stuff about his uncle. I loved that they were drawn together in the dark. His aunt again adds to everything.

Philomena thought no man would ever love her because of her scars. I loved her because of how much she loved her brother and wanted to make him happy. She also spoke her mind at all times.

Bradford was left heartbroken because of his uncle’s lies. I felt for him as he thought about her and then when he saw her. I loved him in the first book and more in this one because it told his story more.

To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart

Another favorite! Many twists and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I was hooked from the start wondering how it was going to play out. I loved how they instantly were very open with each other like they had known each other for years. I felt bad for the major until he started talking and loved both families.

Katrina speaks her mind freely around everyone. She is a favorite of mine because of the way she was with everyone. I loved when she told the major off and how she was with his sisters.

Nic had his life flipped upside down with the new of inheriting the title. I loved him right away because of how he was with his aunt and that he was going to take care of his sisters.

The Wallflower's Wicked Wager

The evil miss is back in this one! I loved that they both were very different from your typical hero and heroine. Both had scars from their pasts and the way they met was totally unexpected. No matter what people said they kept their heads high. I loved the wager.

Shona was not the typical shy lady and could spot a fortune hunter. I loved that she didn’t hide from everyone and that she took on the wager. She knew what she wanted and went after it.

Morgan battled his family and the people around him. I loved that he was determined to find his own way especially after what his father did. He didn’t think twice about telling people off.

What an excellent collection of stories! I have read them all at least twice and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Not all the main characters are perfect but this makes the stories all the more interesting. There are also some of Collette’s quirky phrases that will bring a smile to your face. I have been given a pre-release copy of this box set but I have purchased all the books separately. I have voluntarily and honestly reviewed this set. At this price for the box set, you can’t go wrong.

A KISS FOR MISS KINGSLEY The story of Olivia Kingsley and Allen Wimpleton is one of second chances. Olivia has just returned to England after spending 3 years in the Tropics with her father and brother. At her first ton event she comes face to face with Allen, who had proposed to Olivia before she left for the Tropics but also gave her an ultimatum – either marry or we are done. Three long years did not change Olivia’s love for Allen but did time change his for her?
The banter between Olivia, her brother Bradford, and their Aunt Muriel had me laughing! Aunt Muriel is quite a colorful character! The story is full of Collette Cameron’s charm, wit, and humor. This is a short story you will be happy to have read!
BRIDE OF FALCON Ivonne Wimpleton has resigned herself to spinsterhood. She doesn’t mind since the man she loves, Chancy Faulkenhurst, left for India six years ago and never wrote to her while he was gone. The nerve of him! Now he is home, Olivia is being pursued by a man she has no intention of marrying and Chancy’s father has arranged a marriage for him, and expects him to honor the agreement. In an effort to protect Olivia from the clutches of the unwanted man, Chancy proclaims she is betrothed to HIM! Oh, the heartaches and headaches this one “lie” creates. I say “lie” because it is what both characters desire.
The Bride of Falcon is a delightful and lovely short story. Collette Cameron’s writing style and descriptions take you right into the setting so you can easily visualize each scene in your mind. If you love Regency, you will love Collette’s writing!
HER SCANDALOUS WISH Philomena Pomfrett is resigned to spinsterhood – who would want her burn scars? However, she knows if she doesn’t find a husband before her brother dies from his ailing heart, she will be penniless and her future bleak. So she is willing to attend a London Season but harbors no hopes of finding a love match. Until she sees Bradford, the man she loved long ago – before her scars.
Bradford, Viscount Kingsley, believes Philomena died in the fire that left her with scars. Seeing her at a ball, and not recognizing her (because of the dark moonlight) he steals a kiss, which is seen by Philomena’s brother. An ultimatum of “dual or marry” is promptly issued. If Bradford proposes marriage, is it out of obligation or love??
This story has betrayal, heartbreak, tears, charm and laughter. Philomena’s brother, Giles, is quite funny! Make sure you have some tissues while reading this one. I loved it!
TO TAME A SCOUNDREL’S HEART Katrina Needham has plans to marry Major Richard Domont until he is late returning from out of town and is seen with another woman. Dominic St. Monté, who loves his life as a sea captain, has just inherited a dukedom and the care of his sisters. He would prefer to marry someone who will care for his sisters and not mind that he is away at sea. Thanks to Dominic’s Aunt Bertie, Katrina becomes the one to help Dominic find his duchess.
As Katrina and Dominic work together to find the perfect woman to be the Duchess of Pendergast, they realize she has all the qualities Dominic is looking for. But technically she is still promised to someone else and she doesn’t want to be a wife to the sea. Just small barriers to overcome on the way to their HEA!
Collette Cameron’s witty humor comes out in Aunt Bertie, the lovable cupid in the story. I truly enjoyed the story and wished it could have been longer.
THE WALLFLOWER'S WICKED WAGER He is destitute and shunned by society because of his war injuries. She is socially inept and believes herself to not be pretty. However, after Captain Morgan saves Shona from an unfortunate fall in the lake, she cannot deny her attraction for him. Of course, there are others who would see them kept apart for their own advantageous reasons.
Collette Cameron tells a wonderful story of two broken souls brought together by this one incident, and one wicked wager. Her writing is full of humor and emotion. You will be very happy for Morgan and Shona while wanting to reach into the book and slap a couple other characters!
I highly recommend this captivating 5 star book. Curl up on the couch or your favorite chair with a nice cup of hot tea - you will be happy you read it! I received an ARC and gladly offer my honest opinion.

What a great anthology!
A Kiss for Miss Kingsley – 4 stars
Olivia and Allen have a history, three years ago they were in love and wanted to marry, but before Allen could ask for her hand, her father decided to move the family to the Caribbean. Allen is frantic and asks Olivia to run away with him, when she refuses, he tells her that it is over between them.
Olivia was heartbroken, she left for the Caribbean a few days later and didn’t return for three years. Upon her return, her Aunt persuades her to attend a ball being given by Allen’s parents. Unsure but unable to deny that she wants to see him again, Olivia attends. Allen is looking for a wife, he knows know that he was unfair to Olivia, but she is gone and he must do his duty. He attends the ball with the intent of finding a bride and is stunned when Olivia is announced. When he asks for a dance, they both know that their feelings are still strong, but after so much time, can they find what they once shared?

Bride of Falcon – 4 stars
Ivonne (Allen’s sister) aka Ivy and Chancy Faulkenhurst aka Falcon have known each other for years, he is one of her brother’s oldest friends and the first man Ivy ever loved. Falcon left for India 6 years ago, hoping to make his fortune and be able to ask for Ivy’s hand. But things did not work out for him, first he invested his savings with a man and never heard from him again and then was injured and has returned to England with no money and no prospects. He accepted Allen’s invitation to attend the ball and hopes to get a glimpse of the woman he loves before he goes home. But uncomfortable in the crowd, he escapes to the garden, where he overhears Ivy being accosted by a suitor. When she tells the man she will never marry him and he demands to know why, Falcon steps forward and tells him that she was already promised to someone. Ivy is overjoyed to see Falcon, even though he broke her young heart when he left and he never replied to her letters. These two dance around each other and there are some misunderstandings and assumptions that almost keep them from their HEA.

Her Scandalous Wish – 5 stars
When I first started this book, I didn’t think I would accept whatever reason Ms. Cameron came up with for keeping these two apart for so long – but I was wrong! Philomena and Branford were in love, but 6 years ago, he believed she perished in a fire and he was heartbroken. Over the years he has become a rake, but no woman has touched his heart and he knows that no one ever will. Newly returned for the Caribbean and still adjusting to the title he never expected to inherit, he attends a ball with his sister and is shocked to find out that Philomena is still alive. Philomena is trying to grant her brother’s wish to marry before he dies, she spies Bradford and slips out on the terrace to avoid him, she was badly burned in the fire that killed her parents and almost died herself, but what hurt the most was Brandford’s desertion. When the two share a kiss and are caught by her brother, he demands the Branford either meets him for a duel or marries his sister. Unwilling to fight, he offers for Philomena, who begs her brother to retract his challenge. When her brother collapses, she frantically agrees to marry. These two must get to know each other again and there will be many obstacles in the road to their HEA – but what an amazing journey it is!!
To Tame a Scoundrel’s Heart – 5 stars
This was my favorite book in the set – I loved Nic and Katrina! Nic was raised to believe he was the bastard son of a duke and he has made his living as a privateer. But now he has unexpectedly inherited a dukedom and two young half-sisters. He knows he needs to marry a woman who can take care of the duchy and his sisters, so he can return to the sea. When he meets Katrina, he thinks she will be perfect for the job, until he finds out that she is all but betrothed. Unwilling to let her go, he enlists her help in finding a bride. Katrina has been infatuated with Nic for years, but she has put that behind her and is looking forward to marrying her Major. Problem is, she can’t quite get her heart to believe that Richard is the man she wants. The more time she spends with Nic, the more confused she becomes. For his part, Nic has decided that he cannot have Katrina, because she deserves a man that will love her and will not leave her for the sea, but he is not convinced that Richard is that man. When Richard returns, Katrina finally realizes that Nic is the man she loves. Faced with the knowledge that he might lose her, Nic admits that he loves her more than he loves the sea and sets out to win her heart. SIGH….I am a little bit in love with Nic.

The Wallflower’s Wicked Wager – 5 stars
Shona is a peeress in her own right and is being pursued for her title and fortune, she has not had an easy life and longs to be loved for herself. While eluding a grasping fortune hunter, she trips and falls in the lake. Morgan Le Draco is a war hero but since the accident that cost him his eye and left him scarred, he is lost, estranged from his father and without a fortune or prospects, he has no idea what he will do. When a young woman falls in the lake, he doesn’t hesitate to save her. When they finally reach the shore, he expects her to be horrified by his appearance, but is delighted when she doesn’t seem bothered by his scars. Shona and Morgan have an instant attraction. When they make their way back to the house party, Shonna is confronted by a nasty woman and makes a wager with the woman – that by weeks end, she will have a kiss from the most handsome man at the party and she means Morgan. These two share a mutual dislike for their parents and both have painful pasts, as they spend time together, their bond and friendship only get stronger. But there are others determined to keep them apart and their doubts in themselves and each other, almost cost them the love of a lifetime.

This was a really wonderful anthology, I had read some of the stories before when they were first released as novellas, but I enjoyed reading them altogether even more! The writing is great and each story is well paced and well done. While the novellas are not steamy, the love scenes are appropriate to each story and I didn’t mind the lack of steamier scenes. I would happily recommend this boxed set!

This is a great historical romance collection by Collette Cameron!
A Kiss for Miss Kingsley- I loved this short story! It was sweet and charming. Even when circumstances kept them apart Olivia and Allen never stopped loving one another. Now they can be open and honest about their feelings for one another and move on to the next chapter in their lives.

Bride of Falcon- I really enjoyed this book by Collette Cameron. It is full of fun, fashion, heartache, suspense, love and romance.
In Bride of Falcon, Ivonne has been in love with Falcon since she was 15 years old. Little did she know that Falcon loved her also, but being protective of her, her father turned down Falcon's request for Ivonne's hand in marriage. He told him that if he still loved her and could provide for her in a few years then he could ask for her hand again.
The six years that they went without any communication at all felt like a lifetime to them both during which they had both gone through a lot of living and growing up.
All of that time, lack of communication and hurt feelings did little to stifle their feelings. If anything they were more drawn to one another.
Finally after all of those years apart Ivonne and Falcon are hoping for their happily ever after.

Her Scandalous Wish - I LOVED this story! Anytime a couple can get a second chance I'm pretty sure I'm rooting for them the loudest and the hardest and this story was no exception.
Bradford and Philomena had no idea that each of them thought the other one had left the other. Philomena thought Bradford left and never again thought of her because she hadn't received any letters from him the whole time he was gone. Bradford had thought he had lost Philomena in a fire and he had yet to find another woman that he loved as much as her.
Finding each other is a shock and both of them struggle with the fact that they had both been so very wrong and whereas their feelings for one another have never waned Philomena is not sure that either of them can get past her physical scars and possibly they could destroy their relationship before it even gets started.

To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart - I loved this historical romance by Collette Cameron! Her stories never disappoint and I'm always looking forward to reading more books by her.
Katrina Needham thinks that she has her life planned out until Captain Dominic St. Monte returns to town and needs her help finding a wife and being accepted by all those in high society.
Nic will do anything in order to take his place in society so that he can take on the care of his sisters whom he loves more than he ever thought possible, but in doing so he's spending more time with Katrina which makes him see how much he has come to care for her also. He needs to find a wife, but he realizes that he doesn't just want anyone, he wants Katrina and hopes that she will soon see just how good they will be together.

The Wallflowers's Wicked Wager - I loved this story by Collette Cameron! It is the fifth book in her A Waltz with a Rogue series.
It would only make sense for Shona and Morgan to gravitate to one another because of their pasts. Both experienced harshness and cruelty from a parent and are seen as less than worthy in society at no fault of their own.
Now that Shona has recently gained a title means nothing to her. She doesn't see an issue with Morgan's so-called lacking in society because of unemployment or a place to live because he swears never to step foot on his father's plantation. All she cares about his how gentle and kind he is to her, but Morgan has nothing to offer and feels that he must walk away from her no matter how much he has come to love her.

I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books by Collette Cameron in the future!

I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

This is a wonderful collection of novellas by Collette Cameron. When you read the first one, you will not stop until you have read the last!

A Kiss For Miss Kingsley
I truly loved this novella! Short but sweet and it kept me holding my breath from the first page to see what happened!! Olivia Kingsley and Allen Wimpleton almost were in love at first sight. But circumstances pulled them apart for three years. Brought back together, can the find that spark they had? In usual Collette Cameron style, you become quickly engaged with the characters and love this story!!!

Bride of Falcon
What is not to love about life a wounded hero returning home to find the woman he has loved? Chancy Faulkenhurst returns to England after being away for six long years. He has abstained some terrible wounds from his time at war in India. Ivonne Wimpleton has had 5 seasons and has yet to find a suitor she cares about. Her heart went with Chance when he left six years ago. This is a delightful story of two people brought back together and their journey to reconnect. It warmed my heart and left me smiling! Another great story Collette Cameron!

Her Scandalous Wish
Another heartwarming story by Collette Cameron. Philomena Pomfrett has determined she will never marry and become a spinster. Three years ago she was in a fire that took her parents and left her scarred. Here brother Bradford is all the family she has left, yet he is dying from a weak heart and it is just a matter of time. Trying to make her brother happy because she would be left destitute she agrees to attend the balls to try to find a husband. Bradford, Viscount Kingsley, returns to London after several years. He and Phil had been in love years ago and but he believed she had perished in the fire. When he comes face to face with her, what can a man do? Almost faint dead away? Will she be brave enough to again be tied to Bradford when she feels she is scarred an undesirable?

To Tame A Scoundrel's Heart
How do two people from totally different backgrounds come together? By chance and it is totally unexpected. Katrina Needham is almost betrothed but Is just waiting for her handsome major to ask her father. Meanwhile, Dominic St Monte’, newly named a Duke enlists her help to find him a suitable wife and teach him Town manners. Dom has been at sea most of his life and thought himself a by blow, but learns when his father dies, he is his heir and inherits two sisters. What he finds is an attraction to Katrina who fits his ideal as a wife. But she is to be married. Or is she? Love Katrina and her open and feisty personality and cannot help to admire Dom who hides a kind heart. A must read to be holding your breathe to see how all turns out!

The Wallflower's Wicked Wager
This is my favorite trope in a story. Wounded scarred souls fated to find each other. Shona, Lady Atterbury, finds herself at a house party, feeling alone and ridiculed due to her voluptuous figure and shy countenance. She has grown up with true verbal and physical abuse from her mother and had no confidence at all. Captain Morgan Le Drago, scarred from an accident and forced from his commission, is trying to survive when he cannot do as his father asks. After an unfortunate accident when Shona finds herself falling in a lake, Morgan rescues her from drowning. Talk about fate stepping in with these two wounded hearts? You will need to read to find out what happens!!

I originally read each of these stories when released individually. Now, wonderful books by one of my favorite authors is in one fabulous collection.
Ms. Cameron has a knack for creating heroines that are strong, smart and beautiful. Her heroes are at times roguish, but always handsome. When they do fall in love, it is always hard. There are many engaging characters within these stories.
This collection will provide you with hours of delightful reading. You will laugh, sigh, but most of all, you will be lost in the magic of Ms. Cameron's words.

I had already bought 4 of the books in this boxed set. The last book was given to me as a free book and I voluntarily chose to read it. All are sweet romances and I loved all 5 of them. My strong woman that I usually look for in a book is here in all the books. They are in various states of being strong.

Now 3 years later Olivia arrives at the Whimpleton's ball. There the two set eyes back on each other and find that nothing has changed. Allen sticks his neck out and confronts Olivia and lets her he has never stopped loving her and she feels the same. Once again true love prevails!

Feeling Ivy is a spinster and should be grateful for his attention wants to marry her. Ivy doesn't want him ever. She hides from him during the ball and ends up running into her true love Chance Faulkenhurst (Falcon). Bradford the new Viscount Kingsley loved Philomenia and after the fire was led to believe (by His own Uncle) she also died in the fire. While attending a ball he sees her and kisses her! Her brother finds them and forces a marriage. They must learn to put the lies behind them and trust again. For neither one had stopped loving the other!

Book 4- To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart: Katrina Needham has her mind on her upcoming wedding. Well she hasn't quite been proposed to, but once her Major has returned, he has promised to propose and the two will marry. In the meantime she has promised to help a dear friend's nephew (the once sea Captain The Saint) Dominic to find a wife. He is the newly Duke of Pendergast. Nic was once thought to be a bastard has learned that he is indeed legit and now that his father and his wife have died has inherited the Dukedom plus two young sisters he knows nothing about. The girls were never allowed to me the man because he was a by-blow. Well the girls are now the by-blows and are quite scared and alone. Nic loves them and isn't sure what to do so he and his Aunt enlist Kitty to help them find a wife who will become a great Duchess and be a great big sister to his siblings. The Needham's take them all into their home and Kitty starts immediately. During a dinner party she is told her supposed fiance is seen with a very pregnant woman. Now learning her Major is now a Marquess, he wants to throw the woman and newborn out to make a home with kitty. He will need more money now to fix up the home as well. Kitty being the kind gentle soul she is, is not having it. She confronts Richard about his actions and learns he is an unkind, money hungry man. She throws him out. Nic having fallen in love with Kitty jumps at the chance and asks Kitty to marry him instead. Realizing she has also fallen in with him over the their time together agrees. He is ready to sell his ship and live with her on land. She wanting some adventure doesn't let him and both agree to take some adventures and remain on land for their family. A Win-Win tale indeed!

Book 5- A Wallflower's Wicked Wager: Collette Cameron has done it again!! A beautiful "Love at First Site" story that grips you immediately! The two vulnerable characters, Shona & Morgan are both victims of gruel family members and a few selfish society members. After attending a week long party, Shona & Morgan spend every moment they can together. While gossip flows the two must learn to trust the "love" they both feel so they can overcome their hurtful past. Ms Cameron fills both characters with such deep and intense feelings, that as you actually feel their pain and struggles. Shona starts off as a very timid mouse; however, by the end of the story she truly gets up her courage and fights for what she wants. She wants Morgan. Morgan, scarred and blind in one eye, has nothing to offer her. He refuses to accept anything from his father so therefore is penniless and jobless. His pride and low self worth prevents him from accepting Shona's love (and money since she is a heiress). Shona does not give up! Her love and courage takes over and convinces Morgan he is very very worthy! While a short story, it packs one heck of a punch! You will not be able to put it down!! Very well written!!

*** A Waltz with a Rogue books 1-5
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the sweet historical romance collection A Waltz With a Rogue books 1-5 by Collette Cameron and this review was given freely.
This collection contains 5 brief stories with interesting characters from the British nobility who find love after loss while attending a Wimpleton ball.

***Book 1: A Kiss for Miss Kingsley
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the sweet novella A Waltz With a Rogue book 1: A Kiss for Miss Kingsley by Collette Cameron and this review was given freely.
A sweet scene of reconciliation with with an introduction to two other love stories for both the slightly unconventional Kingsley and the Wimpleton families. After her father passes away, Olivia Kingsley and her brother Bradford return to London from the tropics to learn Allen Wimpleton is still unwed.

****Book 2: Bride of Falcon
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the mildly steamy novella A Waltz With a Rogue book 2: Bride of Falcon by Collette Cameron and this review was given freely.
A twisted tale of a six year unrequited love realised for a couple with physical disabilities and an introduction to the other rogues in the series. Stalked by the drunken crass and unclean Captain Melvin Kirkpatrick, Ivonne Wimpleton is saved by her twin cousins, Edwina and Edward as well as reunited with the man she secretly loves, her brother's childhood friend, battle injured Lieutenant Chancey "Falcon" Faulkenhurst.

****Book 3: Her Scandalous Wish
5 stars
I purchased a copy of the mildly steamy novella A Waltz With a Rogue book 3: Her Scandalous Wish by Collette Cameron and this review was given freely.
Poignant with a happy ending. An elaborate plot of greed and snobbery lead to a family scandal and separation of Bradford and Philomena. Bradford, Viscount Kingsley returns to England after three years in the tropics to learn his intended, Philomena Pomfrett did not die in the fire that disfigured her but that her brother Giles would soon die leaving her penniless.

****Book 4: To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the mildly steamy novella A Waltz With a Rogue Book 4: To Tame a Scoundrel's Heart by Collette Cameron and this review was given freely.
A wonderful but complex story with an unfortunate first meeting,an interfering Aunt and the dilemma of legitimacy and title vs family, social acceptance and common kindness.

****Book 5: The Wallflower's Wicked Wager
5 stars
I purchased a copy of the mildly steamy novella A Waltz With a Rogue Book 5: The Wallflower's Wicked Wager by Collette Cameron and this review was given freely.
An attraction at first sight romance with an unfortunate first meeting and dark themes such as parental abuse, bullying and low self esteem balanced by humor and healing resulting from finding your one true love. Trying to escape a fortune hunter, shy Scottish aristocrat Lady Shona Atterberry fleas only to fall in the lake where the disfigured Morgan Le Draco galently rescues her.

I enjoy Collette Cameron and to get these five stories in one is a fantastic bargain. They are quick reads. I had already purchased the stories individually, but I wanted to share my thoughts on a couple here.

A Kiss for Miss Kingsley: This is a second chance at love. Olivia followed her family loyalty while Allen nursed his hurt feelings over being rejected. Despite the time that has passed, Olivia's hopes build but she worries about how she is seen by others. Allen follows his heart, not his head, when he sees her. I loved their honesty as they speak of their feelings.

Bride of Falcon: Second in the series, you meet characters from the first book, but this story stands alone. Ivonne loves only one man, Chance, but he left without contacting her. Six years later, they have a chance at love again. Both have become "damaged" in that time which plays upon their conscious awareness of others and gives rise to doubts. Chance/Falcon has a tender soul although he can be gruff. I liked both Ivonne and Chance, and enjoyed their reunion.

This a set of five fantastic Regency romances. There is a little bit of everything here. We have second-chance romance, scandal, lost loves found, new love discovered. There are wallflowers, bluestockings, spinsters, lofty lords, scarred soldiers, a dashing privateer, and even the Regency version of the Mean Girls. There are matchmakers – subtle and not so subtle, and happily a good supply of happily ever after. I read these books individually, and each one I read became my favorite. I highly recommend this set to historical romance fans. If you are not familiar with Collette Cameron’s work, this is a wonderful introduction to her work.

I read and enjoyed these stories before I received an ARC of this set.

I usually read anthologies when I haven't read the authors previous work and I truly enjoy reading them because they are a wonderful window into the authors voice. In this case, I knew the author and liked her stories from before, so I thought I knew what to expect. Well, color me happy because this author managed to surprise me with all of these stories.

Out of all five I loved four and liked one, so in the end my rating was taken over by "loved" ;)

This a set of stories that will fill your Regency romance heart. In it you'll find plenty of romance, scandal and wonderful happily ever afters. If you've never read any of Collette Cameron’s books, this should be a wonderful introduction to you of her writing voice.

When A Lord Loves A Lady box set by Collette Cameron is a must for anyone who loves romance. This author captures the magic of love in each of her works meaningfully garbed in a wonderful plot. When an author manages to translate the beauty of her characters romance in one book they standout but when every work does they can claim the title of star and Ms. Cameron shines brightly. Wicked wit, grand adventures, page turning drama and what you least expect are assured to turn up on the pages of this great collection of books.

I was gifted this set of 5 short stories. I found them all completely delightful. Even though each story can be read as a stand alone book, it was great that they all are connected in a small way. I love how Ms Cameron has her characters using quirky words and pharses to describe people and circumstances. It brings the people to life and adds humor to all her books. You feel that you can relate to these people much more than the usual Ton members. I also enjoyed the fact that they are mostly clean love stories. A great way to spend a few enjoyable hours. as being short stories you can read one book quickly

Shallow

I guess these types of books aren't meant to be deep and thought provoking. These are not. Each of the five stories is basically the same with a change of names. I knew what would happen before I started reading each new novella. There are many typos and grammatical errors that need editing. I do enjoy Cameron's way of adding humor by writing in italics what the heroine of each story is thinking. Otherwise, they're easy reads that don't take any amount of thought.

Five Male Rogue Lions, Five Female Tamers, What Fun!

Each story takes you in a different place by a different path. There are lots of twists, and turns. The marvelous thing is that some old friends from one tale come and join us in the next. Old friends are great, and lend comfort and additional warmth to the stories. Enjoy yourselves, have a fun romp through a special time in merry old England with some very interesting, intriguing people.

Enjoyable series well written

Enjoyed the interplay between books. Also enjoyed the dialog and depth of the characters. They were flawed, but rise above it and ultimately found their way to happiness. The epilogues were always upbeat and gave a sense of inner joy that you know that the characters will enjoy for their entire lives together. Well done.

Each of these novellas is a treasure in itself! Regency at its best with wit, great (some very saucy) characters, interesting plots and of course refreshing love stories! Some of the best from Collette Cameron, you can't go wrong with so much entertainment in one collection!

The first one was good - a Kiss for Miss Kinsley. Couldn't get into the second one. It's not really a Regency romance when all the main male character thinks about is sex and his erection! Stopped reading right there! Georgette Heyer is spinning in her grave!
