I didn't expect that much out of this book when I first looked at it, but boy was I wrong. My daughter LOVED this book. It not only helped her vocabulary, but it helped her love of reading, and was a favorite for many, MANY months. I think the animals are presented just separate enough from one another to really facilitate pointing/labelling, along with bright fun colors.
