As their relationship progresses, so does the others. Alex and Jake both find girlfriends in the last place they would find it. But will anyone of them get married?
Typical romantic comedies are not normally my thing. They are always predictable. The Finishing Line was predictable but I enjoyed the journey. The characters are entertaining and I particularly like Will's sense of humour.
I like the way this author wrote and I was gutted when it finished.
This was more like chic-lit, I think they called it lad lit? You know light, funny, and such an easy read.
Will wakes up with a b list celebrity (maybe c list). He is crushing on her. They try their thing. He is a divorce lawyer, and his new case will cause friction between him and his friends.
And yes that is the book. Easy read, not much to say. Fun while it lasted. Would I read more by him? Eh, nah, maybe if I found it at the library. It was a good book, but mostly it was good cos I needed something light and fast
It’s a 4/5 for me. As a book lover who’s struggling to finish reading one book, I liked this one. It’s easy to comprehend.
At first, the events are expected but when I reached 3/4 of this book, the emotions are like roller coster. The situation in will suddenly change after the next 2-3 pages.
Also, it teaches lesson about professional and personal morals.
Overall, it was an amazing book. The author was good and he he’s got a good style. I will surely read his other books if I’ll have it
This was fine, an easy read. Definitely not the greatest story of friendship and adulthood, with a strong whiff of misogyny mixed in. Is this really how men think?!
A typical example of the breed, which tried to break the rules of the form by turning into a courtroom drama in the last 100 pages. Boy meets girl. Girl dumps boy. Boy does courtroom heroics. Girl comes back to boy. the usual. Superior dialogue than many, though. 2.5/5
