I just wanted to get out of this town and start a new life. But then something unexpected happened… I got hooked on a bad boy. He’s filthy. He’s wrong. And he’s staying in the room next door.
Colton Sears is bad news. He’s a criminal, a rebel, an outlaw with nothing but sex on his mind.
So why can’t I stop thinking about him?
It’s not like I don’t have better things to be daydreaming about. My life isn’t exactly cupcakes and sunshine, after all. I’m barely scraping by, working double shifts at a ratty diner, Flirting with gross men because I’m so desperate for tips.
And living in this disgusting motel ain’t so peachy either… Especially not with a sexy, reckless neighbor who is nothing but trouble.
But when Colton’s kid needs my help one day and Daddy is nowhere to be found, I do what any human would do and get the kid a snack.
What a mistake that turns out to be.
Before I know it, I’m up close and personal with the tattooed devil himself. I should hate him – he’s everything I’m trying to run away from. But one look in those steely eyes and I know I’m not going anywhere.
Nicole Fox writes smart, sexy mafia romance novels. She is a crazy cat lady in her late 30s with a coffee addiction, an overactive imagination, and a husband who somehow puts up with her impulsive need to keep buying new plants for their house.
Initially, I enjoyed the contrast between the rough biker and the timid, beautiful, down on her luck woman, but after a while it seemed too exaggerated. I disliked the portrayal of her being weak and cowardice, and I didn't see the point of ending the book where it did. Just as it started to climax, it ended prematurely. Though I am slightly interested in seeing how it folds out, the plot line wasn't developed enough to support an anticipation of a sequel. I wouldn't waste another two hours to try to muddle through a second book.
I don’t usually give out bad reviews. But this book is one I will give a bad review. I have read a lot of motorcycle club romance books, and none have ever been written like this. Yes I know some clubs are into dangerous and illegal things but this was beyond even those. I am sorry but this book was by far the worst book I have ever read.
I gave this Book a rating of 5 ✩’s Title: THE DADDY NEXT DOOR: Series: (Heaven’s Horns MC) Genre: MC Romance, A Dark Bad Boy Baby Romance Author: Nicole Fox Format: Kindle Edition Published on: Aug 29, 2017

Fast paced with very well-developed characters and plotline. Highly recommended for MC Romance readers
I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved it!, I thought Dean was a little devil who had everyone twisted around his finger, he was an active child who was very smart and knew it. Colton had his hands full raising Dean and trying to figure out the problems in the MC Heaven's Horns. The MC was headed in a direction no one really wanted to go and no one knew how to stop things. Colton moved into a seedy motel after his house was burned down and Marion moved into the next room. Marion lost everything when her former business partner cheated her and had nowhere to turn. Marion was working at a diner trying to save money. Dean sees Marion one day and asks her for help getting into his room. Dean seems to take to Marion and she ends up watching him. Colton is attracted to Marion but he is in denial about his feelings. Marion is attracted to Colton but thinks he is bad news. I really enjoyed this book, it had danger and a few twists. I liked Colton and thought it was funny how he wanted to deny how he feels. Great one!
Another amazing story written by Nicole Fox. I absolutely love her stories. Marion is a woman who is barely making ends meet. When her business partner decided to steal the whole business out from under Marion walked away because she couldn't prove that her business partner had taken everything away from her. Marion ended up in the most rundown apartment just so she could afford to have a roof over her head and was waitressing to pay her bills. Colton is involved with a Motorcycle Club and has a son, Dean. Colton is a scary person and no one wants to piss him off. He also lives next door to Marion. Dean pursues a friendship with Marion and then ends up getting offered a job of watching him. Colton's lifestyle ends up sending danger to both his and Marion's doorstep. Can Marion become stronger and save her and Dean? Can Colton protect her and his son? Great Read. I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review.
This was my first encounter with Nicole Fox and I will definitely be reading more of her books! Colton is a single dad to a son Dean, age 8 and a bad ass biker, member of Heaven's Horns MC. They are temporarily staying in a real dump of of motel. Marion has lost everything, working double shifts at a dinner, staying in the same dump of motel and barely making it. Against her better judgement, Marion falls for the bad boy biker and let's just say things will never be the same! This is a ride you don't want to miss! Great story, that includes badass bikers, hot sex, suspense, romance and HEA! I was provided an ARC in return for a honest review.
Colton is a single Dad to 9 year old Dean, and a member of the Heaven's Horn MC. He wants a better life for him and his son, so he tries to keep him away from the MC. Marion is a struggling waitress who once had it all - is now living in a seedy motel right next door to Colton and Dean. She tries to keep to herself, until one day Dean needs her help when Colton is out. This act of kindness leads to a hot romance with his dad Colton and lots of drama before they can get their HEA! Great read!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really liked this book. You have Colton who is a tough biker guy who doesn't show real emotion besides being a hard ass. Then you have Marion who is as timid as they come. She has no spine to her. They are complete opposites. However, some how they balance each other. They push each other to be a better version of themselves. They have chemistry even at the times it doesn't seem like it. The sex is super steamy!!
Headline: I have voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC version of Daddy Next Door by Nicole Fox. I liked this book. Marion and Colton were an odd pair but somehow worked. In my opinion, Nicole Fox always writes a good book. It always has the action, the steamy moments and the sweet ones as well. I will admit, the story didn’t always go in the direction I would have imagined, but the ending was still a happy one and I would still recommend this book. Happy reading!
Oh my, so disappointed. Just when it got totally interesting then it ends. I want a full story not half and that’s what you’ll get if you read this book. Such a let down especially when I’m not as critical as other people. As long as the storyline flows from beginning to end you’ll receive at least 3 stars. If I can’t seem to put the book down then a 4 or 5 star rating.
REALLY?? I am so disappointed. I thought this was a COMPLETE story. Nowhere in the synopsis does it say TRILOGY! The story is good SO FAR but, it just starts to get good and it just ends!!! It says, "Thanks for reading! If you liked Book 1 in the TRILOGY, check out Book 2!!!! I HATE when that happens!!! Authors NEED to be up front about the way the book ends BEFORE someone reads it!! GRRRRRRR! SO FRUSTRATING!!!!
Not my cup of tea. The MC and it’s members are too violent and I could not like Colton, while Marion comes across as a scared little mouse. Plus this one ends at the wrong point. It does not get the reader invested enough to read the next in the series.
And, unlike the cover, the kid is not a baby but a 9yo boy. Even there, I was only just beginning to like the kid, but didn’t develop that far enough to want to know what happens with him.
The first book was good but short. I didn't realize it was several short books when I bought this. I read about a quarter of the 2nd book but couldn't get into it. I don't read short stories, I don't like them so I won't be doing that again
Quick parts read. You get the build up of Colton the scary neighbor next story and the shy soft woman that unexpectedly gets mixed into his life. Does end a cliff-hanger at part after all the build up I was highly disappointed in.
Colton and Marion have a love hate relationship. Lots of action and drama. Good storyline and I enjoyed reading this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Book didn't really appeal to because the main hero didn't do anything for me. I gave it a try because I like books with kids but Dean was really the only character I enjoyed
He's a single dad who is a member of the Heaven's Horns MC. When his son needs help Marion steps in and it starts her path with Colton. will it lead them to happiness in the long run.
