Action, adventure, magic and romance. An ancient curse has returned to the lands and Robin and Jamie must help defeat the Lord of the North and bring the fairy groups together.
I started writing Robin and Jamie as an experiment. What can we do in a book that would not be possible in a TV show or movie? Never tell the reader if the main characters are men or women. I wanted to make the two main characters (and one of the water fairies) known for what they believed in, what class they came from, why they were fighting, how they fought, what their alliances might be...everything except whether they were the guy or the gal. I've always loved fairytales (alright, and the dresses) but it seems very impractical to be running around in the forest wearing one. I hope you enjoy the story!
“You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants some magical solution to their problem and everyone refuses to believe in magic.” --Lewis Carroll
My name is Lorri Moulton and I live on a farm in Eastern Washington. We have five horses and live in a lovely part of the country, which inspire many of my stories. I write romance, suspense, fantasy, mysteries, fairytales, and historical non-fiction. Real life fairytales happen all the time. You just have to believe in the possibility…and look for magic in the most unexpected places.

Storm Front is the first book in this spy series filled with suspense, romance and even a little paranormal. “The role of women has always been undervalued in the spy world, always undermined in terms of recognition. Unfairly so. It’s a world that needs women.” -Helen Mirren When a spy loses her memory, she doesn’t know who to trust…or what to believe. I felt myself flying through the air, and I was strangely calm for a moment as the reality of the situation faded away. This wasn’t happening. It couldn’t be happening. I’d wake up any moment and realize it was all a bad dream. Then, I hit the water. What happens, when the people you thought you could trust betray you? That’s bad enough in any relationship…but when you’re a spy, it can be deadly.
Dare To Cross The Water is the first book in the Dare Romance series. These books are loosely based on my family history and start with my great-great-great grandmother on my mom’s side…and her life in Scotland.
Dare To Share A Dream continues the story, but in a novelette form. This short story follows the ro
With its blend of fairies, trolls, kelpies and fighting for what’s right, I enjoyed this book immensely. Being quite a substantial read, it is a tale of greed, power and manipulation, all mixed up with a sliver of romance in a realistic fantasy setting. The depth of friendships - new and old - is believable. The characters are extremely likeable. I particularly loved the raw goodness of a member of nobility as they interacted and fitted in with the common people.
Overall this is a beautifully written fantasy adventure that I would consider suitable for everyone, no matter their age. There is no excessive violence and no adult content. I would have no hesitation handing it to anyone at all, including a child. Awesome stuff!
I was approached to conduct a true and honest review of Magic's Betrayal via The Writer's Alley website. I was intrigued by the pitch and the cover of the book. I always enjoy a good story with magic and magical beings...who doesn't?
I want to state that I enjoyed the story, but every story has things that could be improved.
The writing was good, but what I do have to say is that I struggled with the "show" vs "tell" motif in this story. The entire time that I was reading, I felt as though I was observing what was happening instead of being in the moment. Now, this is why I gave the story 4/5 stars. I believe that it's a preference thing. Some people may not be bothered by the "show" vs "tell" subject.
The author has a good idea, and as I stated above, I enjoyed reading.
Wonderful fantastical tale of a time where kings, nobleman, and castles exsited.A Magical story of two worlds at war, the humans unaware, Jamie and Robin after a fateful chance meeting are selected to help conquer the Fairies who betrayed their realm, beautiful Sam who is a kelpie helps guide the journey.Amazing fun tale.
A unique story about betrayal, secrets, power, redemption and hope. All of that wrapped up in the magical world of the fae. Lots of action, a magic, battle, and a bit of love thrown in. All in all, a fantastic bit of reading to enjoy!
I liked the story (plot). I liked the characters. The way the fairies were described was a little confusing, could tell if they were small or human size at times. But overall written pretty well.
There are a lot of twists and turns in this seemingly simple quest to rescue Robin's brother, Liam. Who can they trust? Are fairies real? What is a Kelpie? Will the crown be activated? Things ate not what they seem.
