The last thing Indina Holmes needs in her life is three days on the open seas with her loving but nosy family. But that’s exactly what she’s in store for when her brother guilts her into joining the Holmes family reunion cruise. When she needs a cabin mate at the last minute, her only option is the co-worker she’s been sleeping with for the past year. Now, she just has to keep her family from trying to play matchmaker.
What was he thinking?
For the past eight months, Griffin Sims has pretended to be okay with the co-worker-with-benefits arrangement he’s had going with Indina, but he wants more than just her body. He wants a real relationship. Indina’s invitation to join her on a cruise is exactly the opportunity Griffin has been looking for to prove to the woman who has been sharing his bed that it’s time for her to share her heart.

Good read! I loved this family, and was so happy to catch up with them. It's been a while since I read the series, and I thought this might be a problem, but the author provided enough information to help jog my memory.
I loved Indina and Griffin, although I did wanna shake Indina and tell her to get out of her head. I especially liked that they were...more mature. I was surprised that they had had their situation for so long, and really, literally, that was all they had. They weren't really friends at all. The cruise was the perfect scenario to bring them together, because they really were perfect for each other.
Of course, now I'm dying to know what's going on with Harrison and his wife, as well as Jonathon and Sienna's sister. Ooh, and I had wondered why Ezra was so hot on Mackenna's trail, slim super-excited to see their is up next. Can't wait!
Book 4 was the Holmes sister's story. Might I suggest that it would be prudent to read the previous stories to refresh on the other brothers. A few times I had to refresh as I did not recall a character here and there, it had been a few years since I read the initial books. With that said, it was still an excellent read.. Indina and Griffin Sims were coworkers with benefits. Indina did not want more, and Griffin was ready for the next step. As luck would have it, Griffin got his chance to woo Indina after she invited him to join her family on a three day cruise. He was her plus one. While on the 3 day cruise, Griffin was certain it was time, and Indina was petrified at the possibility of loving and losing again. The back story with Ezra and Mac, and Harrison and Willow lit enough of a flame to keep me coming back to see what happened with Ezra's situation. The conclusion for Griffin and Indina was nicely done. A nice hea with potential for more in the future..
Chase Me: Holmes Brothers Book 4 is by Farrah Rochon. When I started this book, I realized that something was different. There were only three Holmes brothers and no sister, so how could this series continue. I quickly found out, the author was now talking about the four cousins, Indina and her three brothers. Indina had been hurt by her previous boyfriend so had hardened her heart and decided to have sex for the sake of sex. She was attracted to an architect in the firm she was working for and they set up an agreement. They used each other for sex several times a week. They didn’t talk or even sleep together. They had sex and then she went home. It worked. Then, her brother called. Harrison told her the family was going on a cruise for a reunion and she was to go with them. She would share a cabin with two cousins; but she wanted a cabin to herself. Then she decided to take Griffin. He could share her cabin. When they got back, they could continue like before. Or could they?
Another fan favorite. A romance story set on a cruise ship in New Orleans, LA. Even though this is the 4th book in the series, this was my first book from this series. I definitely have to catch up and read the rest of the stories. This particular story is about India Holmes, the only daughter in the family. She is forced to attend their family reunion and brings along her co worker/ bed buddy Griffin Sims in hopes to keep her family from hounding her about a relationship. What will happen next will take you on an enjoyable and emotional ride. A great story and I am eagerly anticipating the next one in the series.
Great to read another Holmes family story. It was fun to catch up with the old gang and meet the cousins. I enjoyed Indira's story and watching Griffin break down her barriers. Indira has some nice competency chops and Griffin is sexy and nice. This one felt a bit like it had a cliff-hanger ending, which I wasn't so keen on. I know they are all interconnected, but this went a bit far at the end.
I loved Indina's story, especially because she was so hell-bent on not wanting to have a serious relationship ever again. However, her co-workers-with-benefits agreement with Griffin kind of shifted after she invited him on a cruise with her family. Their romance was so sweet, because they knew each other carnally, but not personally - as they never truly shared their days or anything else with each other. Until the cruise that is.
Another good read. I loved the tug-of-war of emotions between Griffin and Indiana once they found out that they felt the same way about each other. I am a suckered for a happy ending and I love love. Now, let me go forth with the Holmes' cousins to see if they will affect me in the same way that the Holmes brothers did. Farrah, so far, you are four for four in my book.
You gave me life with this Holmes installment. It was so good to catch up with the family. I'm hoping for a better outcome on one particular relationship. My mouth dropped open on that one. Looking forward to Ezra and Mackenna"s story.
The great read I have come to expect from one of my fave black romance authors! This book is steamy...wooo! And I also need to go on a cruise, now. Looking forward to the next book already!!!
Content warnings: heterosexual relationships, sex, mentions of cheating, mentions of death, talk of a serious medical condition as it relates to black women, mentions of stalking
So happy to see Indina get her story. I’m glad she found love with Griffin. Farrah Rochon makes you want to be a part of the Holmes Family. You can just feel the love in each book. If you haven’t read the Holmes Brothers series, what are you waiting on.
As always what a great story. I love how we got to catch up with Holmes FAM. I wish there was more drama with Harrison and his wife. Horrible ending. Hope next book comes out soon
Indina Holmes has no need, nor any desire, for a relationship in her busy, successful life. After being burned badly in the past, she’s good maintaining her bedroom-only relationship with co-worker Griffin Sims. But when she takes Griffin on her family reunion cruise, messy feelings start to emerge, and Indina doesn’t know how to process.
Griffin Sims has enjoyed sharing his bed with Indina for the better part of a year, but lately, he wants more. Afraid to push, he seizes the opportunity to get closer to her when she invites him away for the weekend. Being around her family not only solidifies Griffin’s desire to make Indina his, but also opens up wounds surrounding his own family.
Chase Me was an enjoyable, easy read. With a cruise and family fun as the backdrop, I felt like I was on my own mini-vacation. And although this is the fourth book in the Holmes Brothers series, the romance was standalone, and there is a reboot feeling to the story as the author focuses on another part of the Holmes’ family. While I never felt like I missed out not having read the first three titles, I do think reading the books would have helped me keep straight the large number of characters in Indina’s life and family.
Indina is a great heroine! First… she’s forty-two years old! I love that she’s made her way and is living her life on her own terms. She doesn’t express regret that she’s not married with kids, rather, she enjoys her life as Auntie, surrounded by her family and friends. Yet, she’s strong and secure enough to question her life, but not her life’s choices, as messy feelings emerge after spending time outside the bedroom with Griffin.
Meanwhile Griffin won my heart right from the start. He so wants more with Indina, but won’t push her. He’s such a good guy, and I want him to succeed. His strong sense of himself drew me in, and my heart cracked as Griffin realized he couldn’t continue with the status quo because of his feelings for Indina. I also loved the side story involving his family.
Overall, Chase Me is a delightful, feel-good romance. Other than some slight repetition with Indina's relationship fears, the story was well told. I liked that both Griffin and Indina had baggage, and while it caused problems, it didn't feel contrived. The hurt each experienced was tangible. Their built-in history gave the relationship more weight right from the get go. I love the strong successful heroine who needs things on her terms. The romance is standalone; however, the author planted the seeds for future titles, getting me excited for more.
My Rating: B+ Liked It A Lot Review copy provided by Author
This story was great. The fear of being hurt put limitations on Indina and Griffin to share what they knew they had. I am glad that true love conquered all. Ms. Rochon did a great job writing this book.
Oh thank God we are getting more of the Holmes. I really love this family and everything about them! I really hope that we get to read a lot more about this family!
Loved it! It was great to see the Holmes Brothers and their families. Love me some Griffin. Wanted to shake Indina a few times. Loved that she was a little older and she was about her business. Can't wait for the next Holmes Cousins stories.
This was a pretty solidly three star book. It was entertaining but there were parts of it (Griffon's jealous behavior and assumptions when it came to trying to force her to see that he was 'right for her') that I really didn't enjoy. The characters themselves were mostly pretty good, including the side characters, many of whom I gather were stars of the previous books in this series, which I haven't read. This book is just fine as an entry point if you don't want to go back to square 1. Overall, this was a decent read, but ultimately I found it pretty forgettable.
Being vulnerable and willing to allow yourself to express and receive love is at the core of what has allowed Indina to remain distant from Griffin. Griffin recognize he must trend lightly with Indina but in the end the heart wants what it wants. This story of togetherness is exactly what I needed. As the Holmes family are tight and funny loving. Showing us all what it means to come together and just support each other.
Great love story about Indina and Griffin two lovely people who lost at love and were afraid to love again so decided only on a sexual relationship which lasted until Indina asked Griffin to attend her family reunion.
I am not about to start reading Trust Me with Indina's brother Erza and best friend MacKenna.
I sure hope that is a book coming about Harrison and Willow Indina's older brother. There seems to be trouble in paradise that have to work it.
You cannot go wrong with this boil. I loved Indina and Griffin's love story. I could relate to this one because main characters are in my age bracket and both had their own share of trust issues. But it was so great to reconnect with Alex, Eli, and Toby and their wives and families. I'm looking forward to the sparks from Ezra and Mackenna's story next!
It was nice getting caught up with the Holmes family. I see the drama doesn't end. This book Indiana is reintroduced and it's her story. We find her find love in her bed partner of 8 months. Indiana is afraid but her boo thing is not going to let her get away. This was a cute story.
This was a short read but enjoyable none the less. I absolutely loved the previous Holmes brothers series and I hope this author brings us more love stories from this family.
