Mackenzie “Mac” Cannon likes her men the same way she likes her coffee. Strong, dark, and flavorful. However, while most women were trying to drink the entire coffee pot, Mac was more of a Keurig kind of girl, opting to have frivolous casual flings as opposed to meaningful relationships.

While attending one of her best friends’ weddings—in a moment influenced by too many mojitos—the Feng-Shui consultant foolishly agrees to a pact; to marry within the next year. Her friends don’t think she’s going to go through with it. Honestly, Mac is uneasy about the entire idea. But she doesn’t mind cuddling up with the most mouth-watering cup of coffee she sees in the meantime… the best man, Alexander Carter.

Alex is successful, talented, devastatingly handsome, and surprisingly celibate. At least, he was, until a beautiful bombshell rocked his world before leaving him with nothing more than a piece of paper with a kiss on it in her wake. It’s not that the CEO of an environmental engineer firm minds being used, but typically, if a woman wants him for only sex, he at least takes her to dinner first. Imagine his surprise when that same feisty vixen is placed into his life again, and as expected, she seems to be wearing her running shoes. Yet, this time, Alex is ready for the temptress. A little fun and games never hurt anyone, right? Unless fun and games starts looking a whole lot like promises and forever.

Pleasantly Pleasing

A trope found all too often is this genre, but I still enjoyed it. Maybe the characters appealed to me more than usual, or maybe I saw some of myself in the male protagonist. Either way, the author did an amazing job, especially with such an abbreviated book.

Buy it, read it and enjoy!!👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

A great read!

This is a first for me reading something by this author. It's a great read. I loved her writing style. Mackenzie was a confident woman in every area in her life except love. She had no problem going after the physical side of sex. Now Alex was a man who decided to practice celibacy after having his heart broken. As in every relationship, they both bought their life experiences with them. Mackenzie had a hard time getting over hers. Especially after watching her parents love life. The chemistry between them was more than sexual. They had a connection on a deeper level. Although Mackenzie made a marriage pact with her friends, the relationship between her and Alex had nothing to do with it. In fact, to insure she won, Mackenzie tried approaching the pact as a business proposition with men from her pass. Another way to not involve her emotions. I believe we've all experienced this self preservation after having life has beaten us up. It's a great start for this series. Now I will check out other books by Ms. Green.

If you stop running love will find you

I have been patiently okay impatiently waiting on this series. And it didn't disappoint. This is the story of Alex and Mac. Mac is the serial one stander. At wedding of close friends, she decides to have a one night stand with or what she thinks will be a one night with Alex. And from there this story goes full speed. Will Alex and Mac just settle for one night or will Mac get the happy ending she is running from? This was my first work by this author but it will not be my last.

Highly recommended!

Mac is a strong independent woman who have love issues. But Alex is not having that. He is willing to take her as she is and show her he don't plan to let her go. I do admire Alex perseverance in pursuing Mac. I love that character in him.

Yours Forever is the first book in the Once Upon a Bridesmaid series. I’ve read other Sherelle Green books, and like her writing style, so I knew this would be a good read. The premise is four Friends, while celebrating their Friends wedding, make a pact that they could get married within a year. This installment featured Mackenzie (Mac), one of the bridesmaids and Alex, the Best Man in Ava and Owen’s wedding. Mac was so focused on her conquest for the weekend, Alex, that I don’t think she was really paying attention to what she committed to.

Mac was carefree, she knew what she wanted and was not into relationships because of how family and past situations impacted her. Alex was impacted by past situations, but also knew what he wanted and was quite frankly, ready to settle down when the right a woman came along. In some ways it was like a role reversal of what we would typically see.

A couple of months after the wedding weekend, something unexpectedly brings these two back together and the story goes from there. I really liked how the chemistry of these two was off the charts. That was evident, from the first interaction. I also liked how Alex was really transparent and encouraged (really forced, lol) Mac to share her true feelings, at least when they were together. They really took the time to explore and think about how their past impacted their present. In Macs case, she was able to share with her Mom how the things she did impacted Mac. Alex was patient. Hats off to him. Things happened in a short period of time, but it didn’t seem rushed and the book had a nice flow to it. The Julia Roberts runaway bride reference was funny and right on point. Mac was sweet and romantic and quite frankly wore Mac down. I really enjoyed Grandma Pearls words of wisdom. The one in the beginning was downright funny. Throughout the book there were nuggets we all could use. This was a very good read. I’m looking forward to starting the next book in the series.

Her friends don’t think she’s going to go through with it. Honestly, Mac is uneasy about the entire idea. Then she has an idea, a marriage contract, honored for one year, in mutually beneficial business arrangement, much like the agreement signed by her ‘f’ buddies. Divorce to follow shortly after. But she doesn’t mind cuddling up with the most mouth-watering cup of coffee she sees in the meantime… the best man, Alexander Carter. Cute story that puts me in the mind of The Runaway Bride.

Mac Cannon lives her life on her own terms and makes no apologies for it. However, it's all a cover up to shield her heart from a world of heart, which to her is inevitable and will never happen to her.

Alex Carter is a man of patience, determination and finesse. He knew exactly what Mac needed to tear down the walls of her heart and despite her running, he never gave up on the chance to have Mac in his life.

From their initial meeting the fire that began between them continued well after they went back to their lives, unknowingly to be reintroduced and given the chance to explore a relationship. Despite all the running Mac did, Alex was able to catch her and show her he was the one to love her the way she deserved to be loved.

This is the first book in the "Once Upon A Bridesmaids ".

Four friends attending and being parts of their friend wedding, made a pact that that by the end of the year they would be married.

Out of the four friends Mackenzie (Mac) is known for not losing a challenge, and this pact ino different.

Mac is a confident woman in every area with the exception of her love life. Mac has a front row seat as to heartache as it pertain to her parents. Her mother & father has been married several time. As for her mother just can’t seem to get it write until now.

After his breakup, Alex decided to practice celibacy and he was doing god until he attended his friend wedding and met Mac. The chemistry is instance between them and after the night they had they couldn't get each other out of there mind.

I so enjoyed Alex & Mac story. You will not be disappointed.

A pact that turned into Mac finding her happily ever after.

A pact between best friends at their other best friend's wedding turns into the remaining women to enter into a pact to find all their own happily ever afters. Mac had to overcome some emotional baggage before she could surrender to all the true love that she could ever want or need in the strong arms of Alex who was open and willing to fight for them and their happiness together. When the heart wants, what the the heart wants nobody can stand in the way of true everlasting love. There were some mistakes in this book but I didn't let it overshadow me judgement for rating this story so that's why I'm giving this story a five star rating.

Scared of love

3.5 stars...Mac was trying me in this book. Alex was everything she wanted and more, but she was scared of losing him before she ever had him. This pessimistic view was nerve wrecking. Instead of focusing on his actions and what he was showing her, she ran away from them. Alex had the patience of a saint. I was tired for him. However he was her match because he understood what she needed and did his best to keep her comfortable while ensuring his intentions were clear. I stan for a man that is clear on what he wants. Oh and the school girl get I was beyond over that. I still liked all the characters And will read the next one.

Each moment with you

Be careful what you bet on, you might get more than you bargained for. I found the story whimsical. You have to appreciate good friendships. One's that accept you flaws and all. MacKenzie and Alex, were the determine Alpha couple. Past hurts had kept them bound but once the stronghold was released they were exactly what they needed for each other.

You'll smile at MacKenzie and Alex's journey to love. You'll rejoice in seeing the resolution to past fears. It's a sweet testament to what having a solid foundation can bring.

Nice read

While the premise for this series seems to be one I head before, this story line included a tremendous amount of detail and romance. Mac has commitment issues and having such a strong reaction to Alex, after one weekend, scares her. Alex has chosen to forgo relationships until he can find the one, who he feels he has found in Mac. As a multi author series it will be interesting to see how each author weaves the basic premise, with the characters introduced in this story, in to the other installments, with a consistent arc.

A Forever Kind Of Love

Who knew that a one night stand would turn into forever! When Alex and Mac met at their friend’s wedding, Mac propositioned him. Alex had been avoiding Max, because he took a vow of celibacy. When Mac approached him, he didn’t turn her down. They both thought it was only one night. Until Alex’s employees gave him a gift of decorating his office, and Mac was the decorator. Alex did all he could to win Mac over. Eventually he did! This was an amazing read!! Thank you Ms. Green ❤️🔥

It was fun reading about Mackenzie and Alexander, these two were on different pages of the relationship handbook. Mac was a serial one night stander and Alex has his reasons for being celibate.

A bet among the bridesmaids sets Mac's focus on Alex, but he is determined in not letting her break his celibacy. Liking the challenge of the chase, she turns up the heat but then quickly learns if you play with fire you just may get burnt.

I enjoyed Mackenzie and Alex's love story. I knew the moment she approached Alex that she would have to fight hard to keep from falling for him hard and fast, however, it didn't work. The sex was off the hinges and so was truth/honesty from the time that they first met...it was a recipe for true love regardless of the pact that she made with her besties about getting married within the year. Awesome story, but some of the language was a little uncomfortable for me!

When Love Hunts You Down.

I enjoyed Yours Forever. It's sexy, humorous and fun. Adult fun. This is the first of series about four friends who make a pact to be the first to pretty much trade their bridesmaids gowns for a wedding gown. Mac, who is pretty much like Maxine Shaw, the fictional character from Living Single, dives in on the contest to be the first to win. Then she meets Alex and that's when the heat and fun begins. It was the right mix of sexy pursuit and comedy.

Alex is the man!

The way Mackenzie was living, I never thought she would open herself up to love, until Alex came in. He was everything she dreamed of but didn’t think was possible. Now, for a good portion of the book, Mac was working my nerves with her fears but Alex is the man and didn’t take no for an answer. He showed her that everything she thought she could never have was right in front of her.

Beautiful Story

The difficulties Mac had, allowing herself to love and trusting that someone could truly love her in return is real. Our past shape us and our views on life: failed relationships, divorce, abuse, infidelity... but we don't have to let them to rob us of a happier future. Love is out there waiting, we just have to be brave enough to allow it to find us. I enjoyed reading this book unashamedly let a few tears fall towards the end...

Excellent start to the Once Upon a Bride series. Mac has based her ideas of love on the marriages that her parents had. She's afraid to open her heart to grasp what's in front of her. Alex knew she was the one the first time he was with her; he can't get her out of his head and refuses to let her get away.

The novella had depth. I could see Mackenzie growing during this story and that impressed me. Alex and Mackenzie made and intense couple and I enjoyed the way their relationship was more than sexual- even at the beginning. They really got to know and like each other which made for a terrific romance.
