Another cute little book. The kids were very sad while I read this to them, they felt for little Tatty Teddy. While the ending brought smiles all round, the kids couldn’t help but ask why Tatty’s friends had to make him sad first? A valid question I guess.

I re-watched the adaptation of Matilda by Roald Dahl today and got inspired to dust off my childhood books, and consequently update my goodreads shelves. I found a small case with all four books from this series and I remembered how much I loved them as a kid :) The books are beautifully illustrated and tell fun but also didactic stories, that I feel every child would love.

This was a favorite in my family. We all love Tatty Ted. It is sad when he thinks everyone forgot his birthday, but then it is happy when he wakes up to a surprise party.
