Everything was peaceful until Luke moved in next door. He is the neighbor from hell. And he seems to want me and I am determined to not give in. But his charm is hard to resist. When secrets come to light it changes everything.
Jacked is a lumberjack neighbor romance series and 80,000 words long. No cheating and a HEA. Includes 4 bonus books.
I haven't read the box set just Jacked, but I couldn't find it on here. Luke is a hot, sexy alpha male who spends his time make furniture. Emerson is a more or less tree hugger. She moves into his duplex and the sparks start sizzling between them. I'm not sure why she took an instant negative vibe from Luke but it takes her awhile to finally warm up to him. I really enjoyed this book and once I started I just didn't want to put down until I was finished. I loved the secondary character Ryan and would have loved to read his and Cindy's story. What I didn't really care for was the fact that Luke was so jealous. I like a little but he was crazy with it and instead of talking to Emerson about it he would jump to conclusions. Also what was with the fact that he had to watch his weight???? Seriously it just didn't make no sense in the scheme of things. As for the trouble maker why was it never brought to light that he was probably the one who trashed Luke's work room? Why put it as a part of the book and then leave it hanging to never address again. A big pet peeve of mine unless there is a series and the answer comes to light later but I don't see that happening for this.
Jacked was amazing! The storyline was completely different than any I'd read before. The main character Luke was such a 'man'. I wanted to wrap my arms around him, and get lost.
His quiet, but sexy demeanour was intoxicating. His chemistry with Emerson was electric. He was a gentle giant, with an alpha sex appeal.
The other character that had me reeling was Ryan. I mean wow!, too have two characters so amazing was incredible. Ryan was sexy fun, and had such a funny personality.
Having a neighbour like Luke would keep me up at night. For good reasons. I'd want to borrow sugar, milk, cereal, coffee, whatever that would give me a chance to catch a glimpse of that mans body, or him in general.
This was a fabulous read, and it had a great storyline. Do not want to miss out on this book!
I voluntarily read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Like has been hurt really bad in his last relationship, so when his roommate Ryan rents his half of the house to Emmy, like us smitten but cautious. Emmy has been hurt too, but she has become smitten as well. Can emmys co-worker Chris ruin it for like and Emmy or will these two be together through it all. Great read. Couldn't put down till finished. This book has six extra stories included in the book. The first extra book is called jacked. Yes it repeats. The second extra book is called Addicted with Nate and Abby. The third extra book is called Gamed with Quinn and Owen. The fourth extra book is called Bad Coach with Eryn and Wade the fifth extra book is called Conviction with Ollie and Wren. The sixth extra book is called Grind box set with Mia and Ian.
So many typos!! Grrrrrr.. Things I hate to come across when reading. I tried to overlook it and read, but that became a distraction. The first story was pretty good; great setting, character building and story followed. However, by the time I got to the "juicy" parts I was having to go back and re-read a few paragraphs to make sure I understood, who was doing who. Sentences became too long and several times the proper literary terms were supposed to be read as past tense but were written as singular & present tense. This also was advertised as a 4 book lumberjack romance set: the first book was actually repeated twice & the 3rd book was about a drugged out rock star. So giving this a 2 star rating, is being generous.
A thoughtful man who's not afraid to admit his mistakes! Wow... They both had trusting problems but they were willing to seek love. Great, sweet story.
Great collection of stories about real relationship issues, romantic entanglements, and surprise endings. I learned board lingo and the social circle of boarders!
