Writing is learned through practice, not by reading about writing, so this book can only do so much. But it's a fine start: it helps build confidence for students that are new to legal writing. Regarding 'legal reasoning," this book makes a good case that writing helps a person understand what they think, and thus by forcing the writer into multiple drafts of writing, the writer is a more disciplined thinker.
