It’s probably less than 3 stars… there were some things I liked and other things that made me cringe 🥴.
The book opens up with Meghan finding out she’s two months pregnant.
Meghan (21) goes out with her friends the night she turns 21, and this night’s a special night. Why? Well, because she hired an “escort” to lose her v to 😅. They go out and she has previously arranged to meet this stranger, so when she notices a handsome man, she’s like “he’s the one” 😬.
Slade (no age is mentioned but I’m guessing maybe late 20s?) has been noticing Meghan from afar. When she approaches him, he’s ready for her. Slade used to be a rockstar, now he’s a business man.
They go back to his place… and… well… 🔥. She has to get pregnant somehow 🤣.
Fast forward two months, she needs to make a decision. Keep the baby or tell him? What will she choose?
What I liked: —12 inches??? 😳
—there’s a looooot of 🔥. Ufffff. This promised to be steamy, but I had my doubts. Well, my doubts were quickly assuaged as I kept reading 🤣. These two go at it like rabbits 😬 and it’s 🥵
—how all in he is 💁🏻♀️. I love me a man that’s singular in his focus 👏🏻
—OTT H 👀. Yeah. He wants her and does whatever he can to get her
—they work together for a bit 👀
—it’s free 😅 (and the audiobook is also free- it uses AI… I kind of think Alexa is better 🤣)
What I didn’t like/questioned: SPOILERS —12 inches 😳. Yeah. I know I wrote it at the top, cause I’m all about people taking on challenges, but… 😳 I need to pray for Meghan’s organs 🤣
—he can hear the baby’s heartbeat 😳🤔😒. Ummm… when did this become like a PNR/fantasy read? Yes, you can FEEL movement, but this man puts his ear to her belly and he can hear a heartbeat? Like… what? 🤦🏻♀️ when I was pregnant, I could never hear a heartbeat, and the baby was IN me 😐 🤣
—Meghan debating up until the end of the book (like over 90%) to either have the abortion or not 😅. That’s a looooong time to keep us hanging as readers
—it’s not a surgery; it’s a procedure. The author kept using the terms interchangeably when talking about the abortion
—the owd 😐. Since he’s so OTT and into Meghan, why did he let the ow hang out so much 🤦🏻♀️. Yes. He needed a certain image for his political career, but come on 😒
—for being a rich man, why didn’t he look for her during the months they were apart? 🤔 he has money. Use it 🤷🏻♀️
—how fast things moved 😐. Can I get some buildup please? I experienced whiplash with the amount of times something new came up or lack of attention to detail (like she works for him and then she just quits)
—I wish we had seen some tension when it came to them working together 😬. Maybe a taboo feeling
Overall, this was okay. I wish I had more
⚠️safety squad⚠️ -no cheating/sharing/omd -abortion decision: up until the epilogue, the h is deciding on getting an abortion. She doesn’t go through with it -owd: the H has ow who pretends to be his “wife” for his campaign. They’ve done stuff in the past (hand jobs) -2 month separation. Both celibate -virgin h/very experienced H but no clear info on when’s the last time he was with anyone (he mentions getting a hand job from now before the h) -no condoms/surprise pregnancy -HEA/epilogue/a year later
I got to 48%, but by then I’d had enough. I can’t even say this was well written. It has a storyline, but that’s about all it has going for it. Nothing in this story drew me to the characters, they were just to sickly sweet. Nope, sorry, just can’t do it!
This was terrible 😕, it needed serious editing and honestly probably needed to be rewritten as well.
That aside, going through this story I was cringing all the way, the h constantly did or wanted to run away, the H said he loved her but didn't seem bothered trying to find her..... it was just all over the place 🤔
Couldn’t put it down! Meghan just wants to have a 21st birthday she will never forget and getting rid of her V card is at the top of that list. So what is the best way to make sure that happens is to hire an escort. When she arrives at the bar she approaches the man she assumes is the man she hired. She definitely has the night she wanted and a reminder of it now growing inside of her. She now has two weeks to decide if she is going to keep the baby or not. She knows she has to find her escort, Slade Voss is ex rock star now running for senate who was just looking for a night out to relax and hooked up with a sexy woman who he can’t stop thinking about. He still can’t believe that she thought he was an escort and left money on the night stand. When he runs into her again he knows there is something more between them. Meghan is having a hard time working up the nerve to tell him that she is pregnant with his child and doesn’t know what to do. I couldn’t put this book down until I found out if this two people realized that they belonged together and what happened to the baby.
A fast read, especially for me. I was able to finish in about 30 minutes, which is a little disappointing.
I feel that the book moved at a very fast but slow pace. What I mean is that you read it and you expect the timeline to be weeks ahead but in actuality it has only been a few hours to maybe a day.
The story plot was not as exciting as was lead to believe. I felt confused and angry throughout most of the book. I felt as though it was jumbled and mixed up and just a story that the author wanted to throw out into the world. Maybe it was a thought in the back of mind and wanted to finally be brought to attention?
Even though I felt very mixed about it, I did like certain bits that I could more or less relate too.
I found this book through Amazon Kindle for free and I am not obligated to provide a review.
This is not well written, and not simply because of the many typos and inconsistencies throughout the short story. The characters dialogue and manner of speech is off, making them sound like English isn't their first language, which would be fine if the characters were foreign, but they're not. It's rushed through, skipping quickly though time. And the "Insta-Love" aspect of the story is ridiculously unbelievable. The only good thing that I can say about it, is that the story idea is a great idea for a romantic comedy. It's mislabeled to call what I read a dark romance, just because the female lead considers having an abortion. Overall this story is not recommended. But if the story was rewritten properly and actually edited before publishing, it could be a really great read.
Talk about crazy, 21 year old Meghan is still a virgin and her friends think she needs to change that. Her plan is to hire an escort and let him 'pop her cherry'. Good idea? Maybe so,maybe not.Turns out the guy who she hooks up with and he takes her virginity is not the escort that she paid for. Lots of drama about who it was, where he is and then....a baby on the way. Drama and lots of twists later there is a happy ending. I received an advance exclusive copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.
The story line was an awesome concept. I had to finish it. There were many grammerical and punctuation errors. You have a girl who is a virgin and makes a bet w her friends to hire and escort to loose her virginity. Who she thought was her escort was in reality a sexy rockstar who is running for senator. I would have loved more expansion on parts of the story. It has an awesome concept nevertheless
I was going through my kindle app and thought it was time to knock off a few books. The cover was enticing (not what’s here on goodreads) and it was a freebie from a few months ago.
I started...
I only got about 6% and I couldn’t stand it. Poorly written and utter boring. Why are there so many exclamation marks!!!!
A good restructure and edit, I’m such it would become a mediocre erotica/smut story. But now it’s trash.
This was a tough read for me to get into. It's written in an odd point of view and it's missing the depth. It was more of the characters/ 3rd person telling you what was happening and had no emotional feelings attached. It often felt like scenes were missing between the dialogue. I read it in about 1 hr. It's not a book I would pick up and read again. I truly wish it was better, it did have an HEA ending but rushed. Overview. Meghan just turned 21 and hired an escort to take her V card. She meets a hot guy at the bar and thinks he was an escort. Turns up pregnant and tries to go find the guy at the bar again. Find out he was a rock star turning senator, but can't tell him about the baby yet. Slade wants to be president but has to be a senator first but gets sidelined by a senator and his daughter helping him win. But Slade only wants Meghan.
This story technically has everything: love at first time, steamy sex scenes, billionaire, happy ending...just everything's done at frantic pace and with little background. The characters are little flat and storyline is fairly predictable although if story was expanded a bit, it might have been a more interesting one. But all in all, it was worth a quick read.
I rate this 1.5 maybe 2 stars I did not like the writing much there were easy mistakes in it and also just moved really fast at parts and it didn’t always feel necessary it was at least a quick read didn’t really feel much love definitely seemed like more lust than anything I felt they barely even really got to know each other so I was let down

It started out okay and then went downhill. It felt rushed. Like it was an assignment that was due the next day and you just turned in what you had. It also wasn’t very cohesive. I felt that things just jumped and the spicy scenes were a little awkward with all the sweetheart’s and baby’s. I liked the story line, just wish it was done better.
This was an interesting book. There were some things about the plot and characters that I didn't like, but the characters grew on me pretty quickly. Overall, I did enjoy the book. I was gifted an exclusive copy.
No, just no. There was no editing. The tenses changed and it read like a teenager wrote it. I laughed the entire book (which I skimmed because it was THAT horrific) because of the repetitive phrases and awkward transitions.
Loved it. The heart wants what it wants. I liked the twists and turns of them getting together then the looks that separates them once again, but that touch is explosive!!! Great read...
I actually liked the premise if the book and the characters. The issues come in with the grammar and it bring to short. Everything was rushed. It went from we met and am pregnant and the end. This could've been a great story if more was pick into it.
A fast paced read with an interesting plot and plenty of drama, just a little underdeveloped that it gets confusing in parts. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I was gonna DNF and then realized I was 68% done, so I sucked it up and finished. I try to avoid bad reviews, but there was absolutely nothing about this I liked.
This book might have been short (finished it in a few hours) but thoroughly enjoyed it. From the first page it gets you hooked and you can’t wait to find out what happens.
Wow this was ridiculous in so many ways. I’ll ignore the editing. The writing was choppy and disjointed. So much of the story contradicts itself. What was up with this Erica chick? And the majority of the story takes place in a 2 week time frame. During that time we are lead to believe that the h searches for the guy she had unprotected sex with, finds him after a couples days, he offers her a job which, apparently, she accepted though we never see that part since the next thing we are told is she’s writing his campaign speech. Oh and Erica is threatening her off and never once does Slade tell her he’s not really married but always looks apologetic about Erica? So all this back and forth drama occurs, suddenly she’s running out of time to have her abortion. So after this two week period she’s showing with a baby bump and at this point she’s nearly three months. Okie dokie then. Anyway it was ridiculous, no one put the time into this story to figure out proper timelines or give input on the characters and their reactions or how senatorial races even work when it comes to speeches, campaign trails, and polls. And the two sex scenes weren’t even good
I voluntarily reviewed an exclusive ARC of this book.
This was the first book I read from this author and it was good. I really liked the concept of how Meghan wanted to lose her virginity. Not by a relationship but to pay someone. Slade comes along and bam...their chemistry is hot. But of course, Slade and Meghan both have secrets. If you like virgin/bad boy romances, give this one a try.
This book was good. It was kind of all over the place but it's a wonderful read. I'd tell my reading friends. Slade and Meghan have the ultimate love affair. The just have to find their way. I give this book a 4 star review.
