The market leader, Locker's BAC is appropriate for the mainstream business communication course taught to undergraduates in most 2- and 4-year settings. The text surveys a broad scope of topics in both oral and written business communication. The book benefits from the research reputation of its author, yet is recognized as being very teachable and relevant to today's business students.
It has some good, solid advice; however, some fell flat and didn't make much sense.
There were parts that should have been more in depth and others that should have been cut short. And I would have liked it if it had been clearer with some of its instructions and examples.
That said, I will be keeping it within reach to help with any future business writing(s) I have to do.
This is a great book. It is full of lots of helpful information, and the examples are helpful as well. It taught me a lot about how to communicate effectively.
General overview of the study of Rhetoric without explicitly saying that, and study of all types of business communication, oral, written, nonverbal, etc...
I had the older version of this book because it was a text book in an English class that I had to take. I found this book very comprehensive and easy to understand. I turn to this book for many business communication reference.
This book is yet another desk reference that I use regularly. Anyone who needs to write anything in the business world will get the information they need to write a clear and professional document.
