Genre: Shujo, Supernatural, School Life.
Other Works From Mangaka: Black Bird, Vol. 1, Backstage Prince, Vol. 1
Recommended?: Weeell...Yes? Kinda. Read it when you are bored. It has lots of cute moments.
After watching this awesome MMV and then learning the manga was written by Kanoko Sakurakouji (the mangaka of Black Bird) I just had to read this! Sadly there isnt many chapters but the manga is still really cute *v*
The Story:
The manga is about two branch store owners named Haru and Aki. Their shop only sells a special kind of incense that, when burned, allows the user to see and speak with the spirit of the dead person that appears in the smoke. The first chapter begins telling the story of a customers that has come to the shop and it makes you think the whole series is going to be like that; depressing but when the next chapter suddenly a girl named Emiru shows up on their doorstep to tell them her grandfather who was supplying them with incense stick has passed away all of your guesses about the series gets flushed to the toilet. From that point, the story takes a sudden turn and instead of focusing on customers that comes to store and their private stories the manga focuses on the relationship between these three people; Haru, Emiru-chan and Aki. Because she has no other place to go, Emiru starts to live with Haru and Aki and there starts a new chapter in their lives.
My Thoughts:
What the hell was up with that first chapter I dont know but its tone or own-mini story is very different from others. They were randomly helping a customer and while I enjoyed it I felt like it’d have suited more to a side or mini story. After the first chapter, the story turned into a more...random story. School life, home life and a new love blooming...
*sigh*
This is one of the times I was really upset with the romance cause it made all the other plot to take a step back. This could have been so much better if it had more supernatural elements.

This is the story of Emiru, an orphan girl who goes to Vietnam to get her father's ashes and then later to Tokyo, to tell Aki and Haru about her's father's death. Aki and Haru are two young-men, siblings, who own a shop that sells a different kind of incense - incense that if burned enables a person to see a deceased loved-one they wish to see.
On the first chapter we get to know the touching story of Nanami, an actress. - Her story brought tears to my eyes.
Later on, Emiru starts living with Aki and Haru after telling them she knows where to find the special kind of incense. She believes they are kind to her only because she knows something they want.

“Ela é minha linda flor. Fui eu que a cultivei. Esta joia que eu mesmo poli passará a fascinar a todos. E eu quero ver isso acontecer, mesmo após a minha morte.
Eu sei... Eu sei.
Não faz o menor sentido ler toda a série (incluindo o final) e ler o primeiro volume/início só agora.
Mas quem disse que eu faço algum sentido nessa vida?
“As vozes baixas conversando logo ao lado. O cobertor com cheiro de amaciante. Nunca imaginei que pudesse existir um lugar tão acolhedor assim.”
Nesse primeiro volume, nos é introduzida a situação de vida da Emiru-chan e como ela foi parar morando com o Aki-san e o Haru-san.
E meu Deus... QUE COISA FOFA.
Depois de ver todo o sofrimento e a solidão que a Emiru-chan passava e sentia naquela vila, onde todos a julgavam e a desprezavam por causa da reputação da sua mãe, foi muito gratificante e feliz de experimentar junto à personagem principal a sensação de ter pessoas que irão te proteger e te apoiar não importa o que aconteça.
E o que dizer do começo do relacionamento/desenvolvimento de sentimentos entre o casal principal?
Todo o descobrimento de o que é o amor, o dever de proteger e zelar pelo outro, o jeito como um sempre pensa no que é melhor para o outro antes de pensar o que é o melhor para si mesmo....
Ai Ai *suspiro* a Kanoko-sensei realmente tem um jeito único de fazer com que você se apaixone instantaneamente pelo casal que ela irá retratar.
Definitivamente me deu vontade de reler a série inteira novamente.
“Ele descobriu como me sinto e isso me deixou feliz. Ele segurou levemente a minha mão, mas não consegui soltá-la. Essa mão me deixa fraca.”
Só uma observação: mesmo que tenha sido realmente fofo/triste/emotivo a história da Naomi com o Shinobu, eu não entendo realmente porque a mangaká decidiu colocar esse paralelo bem no meio da história principal da Emiru-chan e do Aki-san.... Ela simplesmente deveria ter colocado isso como uma one-shot no final do primeiro volume... Teria feito muito mais sentido.

Um shoujo com uma trama meio mística de plano de fundo, onde, através de um incenso chamado Hangonkou, você consegue fazer contato com alguém querido já falecido.
A coisa toda se desenrola como um tradicional Shoujo, com destaque pra convivência da Emiru com esses dois rapazes donos da loja de incenso.
Uma leitura bem aconchegante!

Faz horas que não leio um bom mangá. Como sempre, a estória é ótima e a mangaka tem um traço muito bonito.

Ok, di questo potrei ancora leggere tutti i volumi... Sì, Soobie, ammetti che li hai anche già comprati e che quindi prima di donarli potresti anche leggerli...
Comunque.
La protagonista femminile è una campagnola che vive con il nonno, esperto di legni particolari. Durante un viaggio d'affari in Vietnam il nonno muore e la campagnola si ritrova da sola. va così da due ragazzi che gestiscono un negozietto particolare in cui si può comprare lo hangonko, un legno speciale.
La campagnola fa fatica ad inserirsi, anche perché i due ragazzi continuano a farle commenti poco carini sul suo look. Veramente, son peggio delle suocere. E i tuoi vestiti non vanno bene; e i tuoi piatti sono monocolori... Jeez, farti una montagna di fatti propri no, eh?
Mentalità giapponese. E poi, il vestitino vietnamita che porta la protagonista è favoloso.
Vedremo, son solo tre numeri.

Necesitaba leer algo rapidito y tranquilito, y este manga me vino como anillo al dedo ;)
Tiene unos toquecitos de sobrenatural al igual que Black Bird, pero me gustaron más los personajes. Como decirlo... no me daban ganas de golpearlos jaja, y es algo que me pasa en muchos mangas.
Pero espero que les dure, porque empecé el tomo dos y presiento que la autora ya se va a mandar una de las suyas...

Lately I'm not reading many manga, but I'm a fan of this author, so I bought this manga for that reason alone... and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in this short series.

Nice manga. I'm really interested in Aki and Haru. I really wanna know more about them. And the art is amazing.
