Plant Society is your 101 guide on how to love and keep indoor plants. Even if you've killed every house plant in the past, plant-cultivator and stylist Jason Chongue will show you that it's really not that difficult. Covering everything from basic plant care and re-potting, to plants suited to pets and propagating, this book will help remove your fear of gardening and inspire you to create you own indoor oasis. It includes profiles of 25 ideal tropical indoor plants, organised from the most low-maintenance species through to the more exotic and labor-intensive plants. On top of this, the book offers styling advice including how to decorate different rooms in your home with plants, as well as suggestions on pots and planters to give your plants more personality. Throughout the book, you'll also find interviews with 'Plant People' from around the world, who provide an insight into their unique relationships with house plants. Indoor gardening really is this simple and fun!

Lovely photos and some basic information, mainly about tropical plants and succulents. A nice book for beginners. I would have liked to have seen more Aussie natives.
Gorgeous, if a bit simple, book about how you can build a better indoor space for your plant. I'm a beginner, but I didn't find myself learning all that much or feeling like I walked away with any richer an understanding of how to make plants happy. I could look at it all day, though - the photography is lush.
I've been improving my houseplant game for years, including growing an oak tree from acorn, and now with a maple tree.
This is the best houseplant guide and reference I've found so far, including key chapters on mixing your own soil based on plant type, repotting, cleaning (something I've always neglected!), and more.
The plant reference guide is also really quite excellent.
Easy to read, entertaining, aesthetic, and informative! Definitely would've been better if it had more Aussie natives in it, but I suppose this book is riding on the current Instagram trend of indoor, non-native greenery (which is totally fine of course).
A beautifully designed and engaging book that explores greenery in an indoor space. There are tips, ideas, and some discussion that will benefit plant lovers of all skill levels.
Nice guide that covers the basics of all aspects to indoor plants. I thought this book had more useful detail than the average book I've read recently on growing indoor plants.
Plant Society by Jason Chongue, an Asian Australian, is unlike the other books in its genre because it is more personal than most other how-to books on gardening. Readers are invited to step into his philosophy on gardening, learned from his grandparents (to who this book is dedicated). Through Plant Society, the wisdom of the past generations on gardening is brought forth into the present day. It implores us to be intentional and to assimilate nature into our modern, hectic lives.
