I swore an oath to live and die by my club... And it's the club life that'll kill me. Or Baz's sweeter-than-candy little sister, Cherie, who's supposed to be hands off. There's an unspoken promise among brothers. The rules are simple. You don't sleep with another member's little sister. I might be the club president, but I don't play by any man's rules. I want her. And I'll have her. All. Night. Long. Forever. In my arms. In my bed. In my heart. She may be forbidden fruit, but she's got a cherry just for me.
If you love dirty-talking heroes who love their MC as much as their women, one-click this instalove novella now. Roddick is a standalone MC Romance. The third book in the CAOS MC Series. No cliffhangers, no cheating, just kindle-melting happily ever afters!
Roddick was the third book in KB Winter’s Caos MC series. It was a fast paced and entertaining novella.
Roddick was the MC President. He practically helped raise Baez’s younger sister, Cherie, and he was twenty years her senior. But that didn’t stop the chemistry that radiated between them once she grew up. And the fact that the beautiful Cherie crushed on Roddick for as long as she could remember didn’t help, or hurt depending on the perspective.
Winters took us through the friends to lovers stage and battling the emotions that it all entailed. Winters also included a secondary plot within the MC that added suspense and intrigue.
In the end, it was a quick yet enjoyable read that included all of the favorite characters within the MC. Next up is Torch.
I love MC stories so when I see this I knew it was one I had to read, just from the cover alone, and am I glad that I did. Roddick is the president of Caos MC and is proving that these bad biker boys don’t do all bad because he was helping the feds out with the drugs and human trafficking coming out of Mexico. Even though he has a few years on him doesn’t mean that he hasn’t taken notice of his friend’s sister, Cherie. Cherie was brought up by the brothers of Caos MC since brother, Baz was serving our country.
Cherie has had her eye on Roddick for quite a while and would like nothing better than to give her v-card to this sexy as he*l biker. Cherie isn’t all biker persona because she is also a nurse in the ER of the town’s hospital. She’s seen everything and is doing double shifts just to payback the hospital so that she would be free to work elsewhere…somewhere other than the town which is ran by the guys of Chaos. She needs to get a life outside of the biker world especially since the man she has lusted over forever only sees her as his best friend’s sister…or does he?
What happens when Baz who is out of town asks Roddick to keep an eye on his little sister? Roddick is playing a dangerous game with the drug cartels and feds which would have you thinking that Cherie would be the last thing on his mind. Roddick has no idea how innocent Cherie actually is so will he be able to keep his distance or has Cherie finally gotten everything she wants in order to keep her in town? I have a new MC series I want to follow and can’t wait to see more on the men from Caos.
I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.
I tried to like this book but I wasn't drawn in by the characters. Apparently they've known each other for years and it was a romance that had been building but yet there was very little backstory presented in the book. I'm not too sure how I feel about the ending either, it's an HEA though so don't fret! On a side note; I'm a little played out by older men getting with much younger women. This is my personal issue right now so I'm not rating this book according to that but gahhhhh it seems like 4 out of 5 romance books I read are older men with women in their 20's! I don't think it's inappropriate but it makes some of us middle age women feel a little hopeless and is counterproductive to "enjoying a good read". In this particular book there is a TWENTY year age difference.
This is the third book in the CAOS MC series by K.B. Winters. Roddick is 44 years old, retired from the Army and he's President of CAOS MC. All the members of the club are former military men who miss the comradery of serving together but aren't afraid to skirt the law. He's approached by two Federal Agents, named Brockton and Johnson. They want Roddick to start buying shipments of drugs from Lazarus (he's from a Mexican Cartel). The Feds want to track the money to see if Lazarus is answering to someone higher up. He's reluctant to help them because it will put him, his club, and their families in danger. He talks to his most trusted members and the club agrees to help the Feds knowing if they don't they'll have no peace. Cherie is 22 years old, a nurse in the local hospital's emergency room and she's also Baz's (member of the club) little sister. Whenever someone in the club gets injured she helps patch them up and she loves them all like family. When she was 10 and Baz was 19 their Dad died leaving Baz to be her legal guardian. Baz was in the Army and when he was deployed overseas Torch (club member) stepped up and helped take care of Cherie. She's been madly in love with Roddick since she was just a teenager and no man could ever compare to him. But she knows it's time to face reality that he'll never see her as more than his friend's little sister. The only way to get over him is to get far away from him so she starts looking for work out of state. Baz is out of town on club business so Roddick is keeping an eye on Cherie while he's gone. The two of them have chemistry and even though he tries to fight it they end up in bed. That is the start of an intense affair between the two of them but she doesn't think he's actually serious about her. When the perfect job offer comes along will she still leave town ? Can Roddick get the info the Feds want and keep his club safe ? How will Baz react when he finds out his President is banging his baby sister ? I loved reading that Minx and Cash are having a baby, if anyone deserves a happy ending it's that poor girl. One of the things that pissed me off about this book is if you read the first two books then you know the MC was completely against selling drugs. Fuck, they even went so far as to kill one of their own members (who was there since the club started) and banned two others for life because they were buying drugs to sell from the cartel. So anyway, there's no way I believe Lazarus, who was well aware of what happened to the ex-members would believe that now ALL OF THE SUDDEN the club wanted to buy HUGE AMOUNTS OF DRUGS so they could sell them. Even if Lazarus was an idiot (which he is not) then his "boss" I'm sure would have been very suspicious. Also how the hell do two armed men take two women hostage in a busy E.R. and no one calls the police and then the MC walks out with the men no questions asked.
Roddick and Cherie have little interaction even though he is the President of the MC her brother, Baz, belongs to. There is definitely chemistry and interest by both sides, however, their 22 year age differences is only one of their problems. Roddick feels that Cherie is off-limits because of her brother being in his MC, along with the fact that she is going in a different direction in her life. Cherie is a nurse who is hell bent on getting out of California. Her job has given her an opportunity to move on and she is psyching herself up to take it. When Roddick and a few of the members work with the FBI to bring down a cartel, things get dicey. When Roddick finally decides to make his move he discovers it may be too late to get Cherie to give him a real chance. Their story moved quickly, the story flowed well and both of them showed growth as a person while together. It was interesting to see how much Roddick was willing to give up in order to stay with Cherie.
Book three in the CAOS series is just as awesome as the first two. The thrills and danger surrounding this MC haven't come close to ending and this time Roddick, the MC Pres, is in the middle. On top of that, he has to contend with the new romance with Cherie, half his age and the sister to one of his brothers. This book is filled with danger, intrigue, and hot as he'll nights. Don't miss the continuation of this series! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Roddick = 5/5 Heroine, Cherie = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 3/5 Action = 3/5 Darkness = 2/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
It's a sexy and fast-paced ride as the President of the CAOS MC finds himself working with the Feds to bring down a drug lord. Add in his complicated feelings for the younger sister of his best friend and Roddick soon finds his life careening out of control. Readers will find themselves quickly consumed with this third installment in the series that reunites us with the sexy and protective men of the CAOS MC as they continue on their path to being white knights on motorcycles.
Roddick's lived a life on the edge and has the scars to prove it, but that's all he has as he's devoted his life to his Club. As other brothers continue to find their soulmates he's starting to realize just how lonely his life is as longings he's long kept hidden start bubbling to the surface. He's always been protective of Cherie, especially after her brother gave her into the Club's keeping, and watched with confused emotions as she grew into adulthood. But there are some lines you just don't cross and his friendship kept holding him back, as does their twenty year age difference. Despite those boundaries theirs has always been a relationship full of flirtiness mixed with sensually-charged banter. But Cherie's become too much of a temptation and soon he's turning words into actions. With the clock ticking on his showdown with a dangerous drug lord Roddick becomes even more determined to claim the young woman who's always held a piece of his heart as both of their lives are put in jeopardy by an unexpected villain. Roddick's a delicious hero who is far from the typical biker. He and his Club are truly the good guys and their noble deeds endeared them to me. Roddick knows all the reasons he shouldn't be with Cherie but when he finally commits to her he's all in. He's sweet, caring, and quick to admit when he's wrong which made him even more of a decadent delight and I'm still dreaming of him.
Cherie's always been a part of the Club as she was left in their keeping after losing her parents and her brother went to war. They became her family and taught her how to protect herself and helped her through the awkward stages of growing up. When it came to boyfriends they were overly protective which has left her with very little experience when it comes to the bedroom. She instead has vast experience with guns, wounds, and war as the Club hasn't always been on the straight and narrow. It's come in handy though in her career as a nurse. When it comes to love she's thought of no one else but Roddick. He's always been the one she's dreamt of but has always felt like a little girl in his presence as opposed to the woman she wants him to see. With her frustration reaching the breaking point, she decides to leave it all behind...the Club and the danger surrounding it, along with Roddick and his conflicted feelings. Before she can though she'll end up a pawn in the battle between the Feds and a dangerous drug lord where blood will be spilled. Cherie's a hard worker, strong-willed, and more than capable of taking care of herself. She's always been attracted to Roddick and knows that no one will ever equal him. With her time in town ending, she fully embraces the erotic interludes Roddick offers her even though she doesn't see a future for them. She's more than a match for him and I enjoyed their sexy banter and her giving as good as she got.
This was an exhilarating thrill ride from start to finish balanced with erotic interludes that kept me furiously turning the pages. With Roddick, readers get a drool-worthy bad boy biker who wasn't afraid to show his softer side to the woman he wants to claim publicly. Cherie's his entertaining match and together they created sparks. Their erotic encounters were plentiful and were laced with dirty talk as well as a few tender moments. Their twenty year age difference was touched on but thankfully it wasn't made out to be a big deal. The mystery surrounding the identity of the drug lord added a few pulse-pounding complications, an unexpected enemy, and again proved Cherie to be a good match for Roddick in an explosive ending. On a whole this was an enjoyable addition to the CAOS MC series, though a bit rough around the edges when it came to the narrative, but it has me excited for what comes next!
I really loved this story! This is the story of Roddick and Cherie! I really enjoyed both of these characters. Roddick was the president of the CAOS MC. He was a true alpha male but had a secret soft spot when it came to Cherie. Cherie is an ER nurse who is tired of living under the umbrella of her brother and the MC. Her brother is a member and it is hard for her to live her life without their interference. Roddick and Cherie have amazing chemistry together and when they give into their feelings the sex is off the charts hot! Things aren't smooth sailing for the couple. Roddick has the feds breathing down his neck and Cherie is determined to leave town for good. Will these two be able to overcome the obstacles in their lives to find their HEA? This is a great, quick, sexy and sweet read! I voluntarily read an arc copy for my honest review!
Cherie was brought up by the CAOS MC. They took care of her when her brother was away in the military. She was everyone's little sister which made her dating life non-existent with so many tough big brothers watching her. Now she is an ER nurse who is planning on getting a job far away from everything CAOS. She just wants a normal life. Then a woman is brought into the ER badly beaten and burned. At the end of her shift she leaves to find her car has been vandalized. Roddick was the leader of the CAOS group. He is getting tired of all the violence and the the easy women. He wants something outside the MC. However the MC needs him more than ever. CAOS bikers pride themselves on taking care of those weaker and in trouble. A rival gang is bringing drugs in and hurting women and children. The feds are pressuring CAOS to help them bring the rivals down. Roddick and some other CAOS bikers are to pose as buyers of drugs to help the feds track down the kingpin. Roddick hates doing this but he wants to protect the innocent. Then he gets a call from his friend Baz's little sister. Cherie needs a ride because of damage to her car. Roddick saves her from being attacked. Emotions running high, the two give in to long buried feelings. Roddick wants Cherie in his life but he is much older than her and his life is dangerous. His feelings are too hard to resist. This is a great story with lots of action. I loved both Roddick and Cherie as characters. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Roddick was a fast-paced, easy-to-follow, and cut-to-the-chase read. It didn’t build on graphic, hard-core MC violence or unnecessary plot-driven angst to keep the reader guessing about the main characters and how their relationship will evolve. The drug cartel was the sub-plot/secondary focus, and for me, never became too intense or over-the-top. Though I had already guessed who the inside person/mole on the cartel’s deals was, the author actually did a smooth job of building up the suspense and making it believable. The tie-back to Cherie learning how to handle a gun when she was young was a well-applied twist.
Other positives:
• The 22-year age difference was handled tastefully – back story was solid and smartly woven into the story as a whole – and not turned into a contrived plot device. • Her surprised – and then angered – brother at discovering Roddick with his baby sister was played and developed to a T. • Banter, sizzle and steam, and chemistry • Character development – and ultimately the couple-building dynamic between Roddick and Cherie – was very well done.
Things that didn’t flip my pancakes:
• The side stories were a bit tough to follow at times, or hard to determine how they tied to the overarching story. • Though I enjoyed the HEA, the writing didn’t finish as strongly as I had hoped – last lines were just sort of “there.” It needed a little something more.
All in all a solid, fast-paced, and enjoyable/entertaining romantic read.
Oh boy I love These CAOS men! I think though that Roddick is my favorite so far!
He's always looked out for Cherie, ever since she was left in the protective and unorthodox, but caring and trustworthy hands of the CAOS MC while her brother went to war.
Cherie, now all grown up and an ER nurse in town, has had a crush on her much older "hero" Roddick since she first started to notice "boys". She never stood a chance dating in high school or college as the boys were always warned away by the well-meaning CAOS men. As such, she's still a virgin and while she'd love to hold out hope that Roddick will be her first, she's losing patience. His flirting feels more like teasing and it never leads to anything.
Roddick would love to get his hands all over Cherie, but she's the little sister of a club brother and in his mind club loyalty should always come first.
CAOS is in the middle of an escalating drug trafficking war with the Mexicans and Roddick also knows that if Cherie is seen with him, it'll put a target on her back too.
Can Roddick help cool down the escalating war, keep Cherie safe and somehow prove to her that he's just as eager to step over the friendship line as she is?
Another steamy CAOS MC romance! A sexy, protective older man and his friend's sassy, but sweet little sister.
Cherie has lived in Brentley her entire life, and with Brentley was CAOS. The members became her family, but she's ready for a change. The thing is, her brother is there and so is her lifelong crush, Roddick. She's been nursing him, following his injury. The more time they spend together, the more they flirt. She thinks it's all for fun; Roddick is much older and she thinks he only sees her as his friend's sister. Roddick cares for Cherie and has thinking about a family lately, but he's struggling with the fact that she's Baz's sister and the drug problem in Brentley. With things being so dangerous in Brentley and having to keep everyone safe, Roddick is struggling to find balance. An opportunity arises to solve the drug problem, but it's risky and he doesn't want his brothers hurt. Plus, Cherie has plans to leave, but he has no intention of letting her leave, at least, not without him. In book 3, a relationship years in the making finally gets its happy ending. CAOS, with the help of Cherie and the Feds, help solve the drug problem coming across the border. However, the journey to HEA is rocky and dangerous.
I just love this serie with these guys from CAOS. They are a quick and great read. You can read them as standalone but I recommend to read them all because then you get to know the characters better. This third story is about Roddick the prez of CAOS. He has to handle a case with the Feds and also his feelings towards a girl half his age and she is also his best friends little sister. Cherie has been in love with Roddick since her teenage years. She has not said anything to him or others about it. She is now a nurse and just wants to skip town and have a life without all the dark things that happens. Can they make it? Well you have to read the story to get to know that. I love Roddick and his dark side but behind that he is a teddy and possessive. Cherie is a bit of a naive and stubborn but I like that she is strong too. I can only recommend this story which is very well written - as usual - and has a lot of passion, emotions, drama, action and hot scenes. I just cannot wait for the next one!
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book*
The third book about the men in the CAOS MC and the women they fall for keeps getting better and better. This time it's Roddick, the pres, and the little sister, Cherie, of one of the members. Cherie grew up with the MC since her brother was a member and once she is done her stint as a RN in the town hospital she wants to leave and live her life. As her time comes nearer, Roddick who she has had a crush on forever, finally makes his move on her, making her decision even harder and more heartbreaking. But she doesn't know where she stands with him since he left after their steamy night. There are other obstacles in their way, her brother, the age difference, her wanting to leave and she knows Roddick cares deeply for her but does he love her? A great read with some suspense, steamy scenes and a biker who would do anything for his woman and the woman who is strong and independent who just wants to live her life, hopefully with the man she loves. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the ending which was a bit of a surprise and unexpected. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
Always love me a good MC book and Roddick doesn't disappoint. Cherie's brother Baz is member of CAOS and she has always been around them. When her mother left and at 10 she was alone CAOS took care of her. Roddick and Torch made sure she had everything she needed. Cherie has always had a crush on Roddick. He has been her protector and her sounding board but she wants so much more from him but knows it will never happen. Becuase of this and all that has happened to other girls of CAOS officers she needs to leave Bently. Roddick is attracted to Cherie but she is Baz' kid sister and off limits. But sometimes you can't fight fate. When Cherie and Roddick come together they both realize it is more than just a quick one night stand but Roddick is unsure of what he is feeling. Cherie decides she need to leave because she can't be around CAOS or Roddick and not have him. Throw in a little mystery and this book will keep you turning the pages. I received this book and am giving an honest voluntary review.
I loved this book! There are so many things I loved about this book. The first of course is Roddick. He is one sexy biker beast. Cherie grew up with her brother Baz who is a member of the CAOS motorcycle club. While he way away with the military it was these tough bikers who took care of her. It's all she has ever known. She has always loved and crushed on Roddick her brother's fellow club member. She never imagined he could feel the same way. Cherie is an ER nurse who is looking to move away once she has finished her contract with the hospital. Roddick is restless and is ready to settle down. However, before he can claim the only woman he wants, he is talked into working with the feds to help bring down a ruthless drug cartel that is selling drugs to women and children. There is also news they are involved in human trafficking. All I can say is this book is simply amazing! It has everything- steamy scenes, danger and a gorgeous biker hero. The ending was perfect!!! Rec'd as an ARC for my honest review.
If you haven't read any of KB Winters' books, then you are missing out. This CAOS MC series is great. This story is about Roddick and Cherie. He is 22 years older than her and has seen her grown into a beautiful woman who is an ER nurse. Cherie has been in love with Roddick since she was a teenager and it gets harder and harder to being around him. She is Baz's sister who is also part of the MC club she grew up in. When Roddick and Cherie let their intense attraction take over what will happen? Can they find happiness with the things that they go through on a daily basis. This story is another well written book about two people who have been through a lot in their lives, have great people they can depend on and do good things not only for the people they know but for their community as well. I love the characters and the storyline itself is a great read. Enjoy. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
I just can not get enough of these CAOS Boys! oh, my I had been waiting for this gem! Roddick, the President of The CAOS MC, is no stranger to danger, he does not fear much of anything- Except maybe when it comes to how he feels about Cassie. Baz's sister. He knows she is off limits, but the connection between them seems to be getting stronger when her job and his latest task bring them even closer together, this could be the beginning of something amazing- or the end of the fantasy for them both.
Another fast moving, hot as hell ride! Jam packed full of detail; you almost forget you are not reading an entire novel. Exceeded my expectations! I highly Recommend this Book and others in this excellent series! #oneclick material!
I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book
For those into romance “Roddick” is a sweet read, if you’re looking for an authentic Biker romance (like Joanna Wylde’s “Reaper’s Series”) you might want to pass this one up.
Well written, “Roddick” has likable characters, a bit of suspense, a little steam, dual POV, a nice HEA and all without the dreaded cliffhanger. Each story can be read as a standalone, but previous characters do receive transitory mention for fans of the series. With a prologue, nine chapters and an epilogue, the novella is the perfect length for busy schedules or a quick beach read.
Bottom line, if you are searching for a more authentic Biker (romance) experience this may not be the book for you… romance (only) readers… enjoy!
***I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review***
I received this book for an honest review. This is the third installment of the Caos MC series about these hard men and the women they love. Roddick is the MC President who has a strong connection to Cherie, Baez's younger sister who he practically help raise. The chemistry between these two finally erupts and their is no holding back as Cheri is determined to get the man she has always loved. Roddick finds himself having to work with the feds with the drugs and human trafficking coming out of Mexico and Cherie is a nurse who wanted to get away from anything to do with the MC is now thrown into the mix and finds her self in danger. Can Roddick and his brothers save the women he loves and stop the cartel. This was a fast paced read filled with danger, thrills, steam and emotion. This is a must read and I highly look forward to read book 4.
Loved it. Not as much action as the first 2 but still a good one. I love MC stories and while this one isn't as hard-core as most, I still l love the stories that KB Winters puts together and the characters created. It is a standalone story and not needed to read the first 2 and that is very true but I still recommend reading them all since it's a great series. This story almost has it all a (older) badass biker who is tough as nails and has a heart of gold then you have the young virgin who is the baby sister to Roddick's friend and fellow biker brother. She has sass and is kindhearted but also have dreams and isn't planning on changing them. I received this as an ARC for my honest review.
Cherie annoyed me to no end. I really felt she was selfish. She grew up around CAOS. She, better than anyone, should have known that CAOS did what they did to protect the town. I felt she was too immature for Roddick. He deserved better, IMO.
I gave it 3 🌟 because it finished the storyline from the previous books, and that was great, but I didn't care for the relationship. As good as Roddick was, he deserved someone very different and understanding of him and his club. Talon came to town, got beat up, and never turned her back on Mick or the club. So Cherie growing up around the club and knowing they were good people and still turning her back on them was too hard a pill to swallow, and I won't be reading the rest of the series.
I enjoyed this read. I've read the other books in the CAOS series and we have seen Roddick so I was happy to get to read his story. This book stands alone for the most part. There are connections that are there if from the previous books but if you haven't read them, you'll be fine starting this one. I liked the characters in this quick, entertaining read. Roddick and Cherie have been drawn to each other for years but because of the age gap and the fact that Cherie is Roddick's best friend's younger sister has kept him from acting on it. Things finally come to a head in this one and things take off. This book moves pretty quickly but I didn't feel rushed reading it. There is action and the sex is explicit. I thought it was a fun read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Roddick has been the President of COAS for years and is now longing for more. Cherie is determined to finish her nursing hours so she can finally leave Brentley to get away from her secret love. Roddick has wanted Cherie for years, but being the sister to a fellow member has put the breaks on. Will Roddick be able to keep his club and Cherie safe? Will Cherie leave Bentley?
Loved Roddick and Cherie. You've got this tough woman who was raised around the MC and she doesn't take anyone's crap. Roddick is this tough man, but a softy when it comes to Cherie. I was happy when he decided that he was going to do whatever it took to be with her. Great book and cannot wait for more in this series!

I wish I could give this more than just 5 stars!! Such a fantastic read! I haven't been able to read the first 2 in the Caos series yet but now I'm looking forward to reading them more than I already was. I knew when I started that it was going to be good because let's face it, KB can't do wrong when she writes!! Roddick and Cherie had amazing chemistry and even though there was a 22 year age difference, it really didn't matter or make the relationship seem weird. I loved her take on motorcycle clubs too. Caos are good guys who try to make the town of Brently a better place. How can you go wrong by reading this? YOU CAN'T!!
CAOS is one of the best MCs I've read about! These guys are the real deal - hard and tough with the bad guys but sweet and tender with the ladies. Roddick is sooo sexy! He fights his attraction to Cherie for as long as he can, but love always finds a way. Once he knows Cherie feels their chemistry, too, their romance can't be stopped! The life in their club is never easy and the love story develops right along with the criminal suspense story as Roddick and Cherie take on a Mexican drug cartel as well as the Feds. Non-stop action and never-ending love lead to a beautiful HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
