Quite some lunch box. It's crammed with RHYMES, and also, delicious kinds of food.
From the perspective of a first grader, learning how to make his own sandwich? Inspiring.
From the perspective of a woman who has had a strong (though amateur's) interest in nutrition since 1968... And a woman whose first published book was a nutritionally-oriented cookbook... I'd call this book "Simple carbs on parade." Nearly every food item in this book was a simple carbohydrate
Can't we teach our children more about nutrition?
RATING THIS BOOK
My policy here on Goodreads is to rate books from the perspective of an intended reader. Clearly it's a FIVE STAR book for people who like pretty food, sweet food, etc.
Rated thus, yet with a bit of foreboding in my heart, for nutritional futures of our children.....
This book is about a little boy packing his own lunch with what he wants to. A lot of kids like to do this because they want to do things on their own.
This book is about a boy who pack lunch so much food for his lunch. When his friend Zack does not bring his lunch the boy willing to share with his friend. This is an easy book to read for kindergartener, it is for emergent reader. It has very simple words to read.
This is a sweet, little book about gaining independence and sharing. It is simple enough for kids to learn a lesson while not getting overwhelmed with reading words. The words and introduced concepts are familiar and functional.
