Code Name: Redemption is book six in A Warrior’s Challenge series.

Rugged. Mysterious. Dangerous.

Lieutenant Commander Greg LaPierre, a Special Forces Operator, returns home after a seven-month deployment. He wants to shake combat from his back, but only days after his arrival, the police accuse him of murder.

Someone is slaughtering women and leaving them at historic locations in the emerald city of Victoria. Whispers of Whitechapel drape the cobblestoned streets in fear. Mattie Bidault, a local journalist, has been following the case from the beginning, and Greg is either innocent or she’s falling for the deadliest serial killer since Jack the Ripper.

5 amazing stars

This is the fourth book in the series. These books can be read as standalones but seriously I recommend you start from the beginning as this author is going to take you on a journey you won't wanna forget.

Natasza puts so much love and care into these stories that it radiates off the pages. She has done such a fantastic job that to me these are characters no more. They are my friends who I care about. When they are going through pain I feel as if my
heart is gonna break. When they are happy you can see a big grin on my face. You get the idea???

Each book in this series focuses on a different subject that matters to the warrior. In this book Natasza deals with faith and loss. She did this in such a way that if I wasn't smiling or crying then I had goosebumps.

I'm not going into the storyline in my review. I don't want to spoil it for anyone. However I think this is Nataszas best book so far.

As a reviewer and a blogger I read hundreds of books. I read this book while on a long car journey. These 'friends' sucked me right in and I lost track of everything until Id finished.

I really can't recommend this book highly enough. It's a really brilliant work of art.

This is book 6 in A Warriors Challenge series. I absolutely loved each of these books and this one may have become my new favourite. I highly recommend you start from the beginning to fully enjoy this series.

This is Lieutenant Commander Greg LaPierres story, a Special Forces Operator. Returning home from a deployment he finds himself a suspect for murder when a serial killer is slaughtering women in Victoria. Mattie Bidault a local journalist has been following and reporting on these murders since the beginning. She craves justice for the murdered women. When she meets Greg she believes he's innocent but can she help prove his innocence.

Natasza Waters has an amazing way with words. I feel as if I'm friends with these characters. They feel real to me. I feel myself going through the emotions that the characters go through and that may have me grabbing chocolate, alcohol and tissues. The storyline of this book was fantastic and when I wasn't reading this book I was thinking about it.

I know that no matter what I say I can't give this book the credit it deserves. I read daily and if there was one series I could get more people to read it would be this series. As soon as this book hit my kindle I was on it. It didn't matter that I was half way through a book I just knew I needed to read it.

Now I cannot write this review without mentioning MY MAN Thane (Ghost). As soon as I saw him mentioned in this book I literally squealed with delight. When my partner came out to me to see what was up I told him my boyfriend was back. I must talk about him quite a bit cos my partner left me to my reading and even told the kids to give me a wide berth. I can't put into words how much I love him. No other male character affects me the way he does. I find myself mentally giving him high fives on so many occasions.

I'll end my review by saying if you follow my reviews go grab book one and give this series a try. Feel free to message me and I'll virtually hold your hand while you go through angst, palpitations and so many omg moments.

I'm so looking forward to reading more from this author.

A few quotes I couldn't resist sharing:)

Geez this guy had Alpha with a big, intimidating 'A' across his mountainous chest.

"A woman can stop war from churning inside of us" "An extraordinary woman can draw us back into the light".

"They call you Ghost for a good reason".

Austen had done what he usually does- made a direct hit.

Code Name:Luminous is an edge of your seat thriller that starts at page one and doesn't stop the ride until the last page is turned. Danger and intrigue abound, but beyond that, CNL is a highly emotional journey in the lives of the SEAL's we have grown to love in the the Warrior's Challenge series. The books can be read as stand alone books, but the emotional impact is stronger if you have grown to love the characters throughout the series.
Tony and team face some hard truths in Code name:Luminous, I won't give spoilers, but make sure you have tissues handy. Tony finds more than love on his journey, faith, hope, trust... tomorrow.
I can't say more, only, if you only read one book this year - read

Natasza, I'm absolutely stumped as to how I'm going to present my review that will do this story the justice it so truly deserves. So here goes... As an army brat, my genre of books I love reading are military/romance/suspense and I've read both fiction and also non-fiction military books over the years. Code Name: Luminous absolutely delivers such a truly magnificent yet very realistic, endearing and heartwarming story on every level from how the characters were delivered, from where they take on a life form of their own that becomes so realistic, so believable, from where the reader becomes one with the characters(they aren't superpowers, they are real depictions of real ordinary military persona starting from rank onward), the storyline, from where the topic of the story is absolutely terrifying, again so real in today's battle against terrorism. The reader will become so engrossed and so emotionally drawn in from the very first page and their attention held throughout to the very ending. Tony and Lumin are absolutely compatible as are the other characters from the previous stories. That's what makes this story so realistic. An absolute surreal experience reading Code Name: Luminous. I must say that there were parts where I found myself saying out loud "yes", "no" and "oh my God" There were times I felt antsy but mostly what I felt was the energy this story delivered. It drew my emotions out and I must admit, a first time for me to experience this where I actually laughed out loud at the humor and I cried like a baby, which is so not the norm for me. (I usually smile, chuckle, read in silence with emotions being displayed on the inside not outward) Code Name: Luminous was a new reading experience for me. This by far was the finest most masterfully written story I've read and it's not just a woman's read. Men will enjoy this story as well.

5 Star Read:
The best book in the series thus far. Not only is a new romance budding between Tinman and Lumin; we have the pleasure of watching our favorite past romances mature and grow.

This installment voices some of Americans worst fears on terrorism. So while this is a fictional account of terrorism the reality of a possible situation can bring forth your worst nightmares.

In the thicket of the crescendo Alpha One experience a heavy loss that touches each member heavily and will have you reading Forever and Ever, Amen book 5 in a melancholy state of mind.

Prepare yourself for this one and the next, have plenty of Kleenex on hand. Once you get past the shock, your going to need them!

My absolute favorite and will read again and again. I strongly recommend! It has outstanding qualities. The characters are wonderful and surprising and multi-dimensional. The writing is luring, engaging, and well-crafted enough to keep me interested from cover to cover and beyond. The plot is astonishing with twists and turns weaved into a well thought and planned story. There’s no pretense and romance was well balanced and done entirely correctly with properly distributed amounts of hints, behaviors and incredible, undeniable chemistry. Predictability is at an all-time low. With the exception of series based books that follow the same path but are just as good. Overall, Favorite, must read again, recommend!!!

Favorite Series!

I completely love these books! They suck you in and force you to invest in the amazing characters. I always find my emotions totally engaged in every event that happens. I can barely put them down. In this story, we encounter Lumin. Lumin has a very different personality than the two previous heroines in this series. She is younger, inexperienced, and less certain of herself but still courageous and self sacrificing. Tony is much like the other members of Alpha Squad, arrogant, alpha, possessively protective, and honorable. These two make a great pair despite the many difficulties throughout this story. The characters I have loved in the previous books were also heavily involved in this book. I loved getting to reconnect with them as well. Overall, this is one of my favorite all time series.

Well, I finished CN:L last night. Wow, what an action packed freaking thrill ride this book was. Right from the get go the action was high, and it carried on throughout the book. Many times my heart raced while reading. Could the SEALS save the day? Man, it was touch and go there many times.
The love story between the hero and heroine was fantastic: sweet and hot mixed together. The perfect blend.
There is a part in this book where my jaw dropped open and I bloody cried! Even today my heart hurts.
When an author can make me cry like Natasza Waters did, then that is a major sign of talent! And this author has it in spades. She made me love and care for her characters. They felt real to me.

CN:L was, for me, the best book from the Warrior Challenge series--and they are all awesome.

4.5/5.0

The fourth in this nail-biting, suspense-filled series, "Luminous" delivers every single edge-of-your-seat, can't-put-down expectation one has, with a bang! The alpha military males are HOT, their females strong yet sympathetic and the plot line fires you through to the very end. The romance could have been a bit more developed, but the story still succeeds in wringing every emotion out with a sigh and a tear as the last page turns!

Code Name: Luminous

“Lumin?”
“I’m sorry, Tony, but I didn’t know who else to call.”
“What’s going on?”
“I think I’m in big trouble. You need to tell me what to do.” The signal cut out, and her heart leaped into her throat.“Are you still there?”
“I’m here, sweetheart, what kind of trouble?” he asked, his voice hardening. “Is it Quadero? Did he find out you helped us?”
“No, it’s not Quadero."
Lumin hooked her fingers in a strand of hair, tugging to replace her rampaging fear with pain. She hesitated.
“Don’t hang up,” Tony commanded as if sensing her misgivings. “You can tell me, Lumin. I can hear you’re scared. Whatever it is, you’re not alone, okay?”
“Do you know what Yersinia Pestis is?” she blurted.
A deep rumble from Tony’s throat preceded his answer. “The Bubonic Plague.”
“Yes. In the Middle Ages it was passed through contact, but imagine if it were engineered into an airborne virus and mutated every thirty-six hours. It would kill millions of people.” She licked her dry lips. “I think they’ve made one.”
“The Bubonic Plague is a bacteria, and who is they, Lumin?”
“I—don’t know who they are, but I think they know who I am.” Her voice stuttered. “You must have contact with people who can look into this. I heard a name, Dr. Clifford Bjornson. That might lead you somewhere. I have to go.”
“Wait! How do these people know you?”
Lumin dropped the sheet and reached for her dress. She pulled it over her head. Squeezing the phone between her ear and shoulder, as she did up the buttons she said, “Because Dr. Bjornson’s partner is lying dead in my bed.”

I loved Tinman and Lumin's story. There are quite a few times CN: Luminous brought tears to my eyes. Well rounded characters and intense drama draw you in, wrapping around you to keep your attention. I love seeing how all the characters interact and grow as each of the Warrior's Challenge series continues.

The feel of the military jargon and the scientific facts that were used bring authenticity to the story. Hope this never really happens! But WOW, what a fantastic story.

Lumin Edenridge hasn’t stopped thinking of the handsome Navy SEAL, Tony “Tinman” Bale, since their brief encounter in Las Vegas. However, when she gets embroiled in a terrorist plot, Lumin is looking for Tinman for help rather than pleasure. When she learns she has been turned into a weapon, she hides to save the SEAL who has stolen her heart. Leaving him only a twelve-hour window in which to save her, Tony not only must save Lumin and stop a deadly virus from being launched on the United States, but also resist the unquenchable desire for Lumin that is heating his blood.

This fourth book of the Warriors Challenge Series stands alone, although this riveting read keeps one glued to the edge of one’s seat. Ms. Waters demonstrates her remarkable talent with words as she draws the reader into the story so completely that one is able to feel the loyalty, kinship, and deep, impenetrable bond of the SEALS as they join forces. With strongly defined characters, a tautly constructed plot, and heart pounding suspense, the reader is hooked in this action packed story from the first page. As she paints a believable picture complete with military jargon, one is treated to a rollercoaster ride that wrenches every last drop of emotion. Bravery, sacrifice, brotherhood, and love combine to make this an exceptionally intense and powerfully emotional story that the reader will not be able to put down. A valuable addition for anyone’s library and one which will be reread many times over.

Looking for a book that will take your emotions on a roller-coaster ride? Then look no further than Natasza Waters’ Code Name: Luminous. This story grabbed you by the throat from the beginning and didn’t let you go until the end. I laughed and cried throughout this story so it’s best to have the box of tissues handy from the get go. Lumin has a problem and she trusts one man to help her. Finding him is the problem and when death follows her, Lumin is sure she made the wrong choice. But Tony hasn’t forgotten the woman in the months since he last saw her and while he doesn’t like the reason she contacted him, he is happy to step in. Lumin was kick ass in such a subtle way you couldn’t help but love her. She didn’t see herself as anything special but Tony did. Lumin had a strength of character and a courage that was awe inspiring. Ms. Waters put together two characters that appeared to be such opposites and wove them together in such a way that it felt wonderful and natural. She started this story with a bang and kept the action flowing even as she allowed Tony and Lumin an opportunity to bond on a deeper level. Ms. Waters engaged my emotions throughout this story and I was sad to see it end. From joy to pain, from sadness to hope, from love to hate,Ms. Waters had it all. The fourth installment of A Warrior’s Challenge is well worth the read and will definitely be one that I will return to time and time again.

This is not your ordinary romance novel. Code Name: Redemption is a mind bending thriller, reminiscent of the TV shows Criminal Minds or Profiler. It takes you on a journey into the twisted mind of a serial killer-psychotic, gruesome and anonymous.
The suspect pool is diverse, and just when you're sure you know who the killer is...another twist or turn pops up in the plot.
Add to this an investigative reporter who doesn't know the meaning of the word quit, the only girl in a family of RCMP officers. Mattie rushes in, where angels fear to tread- with danger hot on her heels- along with one hot Lieutenant Commander!
I've been waiting a long time for Greg LaPierre to finally meet his match, and while I won't say I didn't want to knock him in the head a time or two-he actually did better than I expected. lol.
This book grabs you from page one and won't let you stop turning the pages until you reach the end. Great suspense, hot loving, dynamic characters, and wonderfully descriptive writing.

This is the 4th book in the continuation of the Warrior’s Challenge Series. It is also a great standalone read. Once again Natasza will move you through every emotion you never thought you could feel in a book. Let’s be honest, once of your greatest fears is Bioterrorism and Natasza hits home with Code Name: Luminous. With a deadly virus knocking down America’s door, Petty Officer Tony Bale and his captivating aerialist, Lumin, race against time to defeat the crazy madman with nothing but death and destructions to all Americans on his mind. Through it all, Tony and Lumin need each other not just to save the day, the world, and most importantly each other, but also to open their hearts to a connection stronger than the power of the sun. Get ready readers……This Mission will blow you away!!!!

“It would be my honor to love you fiercely for the rest of my life.”

Local journalist, Mattie Bidault, is hot on the trail of a serial killer that is terrorizing the picturesque community of Victoria...a serial killer that is reminiscent of the famous Whitechapel murderer, Jack the Ripper. When Mattie interviews the prime suspect in the killings, Lt. Commander Greg LaPierre, her instincts are telling her he’s innocent. But when she looks into his mesmerizing green eyes, she’s starting to wonder if her heart is leading her down a dangerous path…one that could leave her The Ripper’s next victim.

Attention Netflix! Natasza Waters has written an amazing series that would be a kick ass show! Code Name: Redemption kept the pages turning and my heart racing! I loved everything about it! I can’t recommend this book enough! LOVED IT! To infinity and beyond, a 5 Star read!

OMG, you have no idea how much this book will touch your heart. Lumin is such a beautiful person, and Tony is well . . . HOT and now in love. He looks good in love. But what stole my breath away and left me grieving was not their love story. . .

I have read every damn book this author has written and the men and women in them are like friends I care so much about. . . So real, so heart wrenching at times, I forget to breath.

I may never be happy about what happened. You will want to read this series, but this book. . . you will never forget.

Natasza, AWESOME! What is it you say? 88's. *Always*

Amazingly good!!!

I have waited for Greg's story for quite sometime now. Ever since I first met him in Code name: Ghost. He's such an enigma and a total treat to read about what makes him tick and what's made him what he is. Mattie is just that woman to bring out the very best in a scarred and haunted man like Greg.
I love Greg and Mattie's fast-paced, tear jerking and totally captivating story. It had me in suspense the whole time. Romantic suspense at its best. It also has a lot of LOL moments.
Highly recommended!!!!

Another masterpiece by Mrs.Waters. Made me cry but also made me laugh - now I wonder if Lt Lewis will see the light or get lynched by Alpha Squad. Cobb's death was totally uncalled-for. But then again when is the untimely demise of a good person such as him? I feel sorry for Marg. I know first hand what it's like to lose your husband and don't really wish it on anyone. Hope she finds her way out of that hole in future books...

Love it

This is a brilliant book. Well written using a really strong storyline about a fantastic love story. It is also amazingly written military thriller about a terrorist and there plans for America. Give this ago, I do not think you will be disappointed. Although you should maybe read the three book that come before this to get to know the character's. They are as good as this. An amazing series.

The Warrior's Challenge series is still going strong with Code Name: Redemption, and I still never feel like I get enough! Knowing this is the 2nd to last book helps a little, but knowing I can revisit the Alpha Squad and Greg (Canada's JTF) anytime I want to helps the most. I'm not ready to say goodbye but I'm also super looking forward to the next book.

Anyways!

Greg and Mattie. Their story -- wow. I read the blurb. I watched the book trailer video -- and I still wasn't fully prepared for the awesomeness that was given to me. There's just enough creepy suspense and puzzles to keep you on your toes. There's enough spicy heat simmering to keep you fanning your face. There's enough banter between all the characters to keep you laughing, groaning, and feeling anxious for them. And there's just enough heartache to make the healing acceptance satisfying.

I loved watching Greg's relationship with Mattie grow and bloom, and how he got his own version of Kayla (gotta read books 1 & 2 to get the full understanding of that) that was perfect for him - stubborn frustration and tempting smiles and all! Mattie is one strong, determined woman, and that's exactly what Greg needed to help fight back his demons. Then, when you add Thane and Kayla to the mix -- oh my! The unique relationship between Greg and Kayla causes history to be exposed and dealt with by all 4 people (characters? heck, they're real people to me!) which while it was heart shattering, the healing and acceptance and growth was preciously beautiful. I loved the convos between Greg and Thane and seeing them deal with each other. So many sweet moments abound throughout the story with all the characters.

If you loved the previous books, you're gonna want to experience this book. If you're just diving in, it could work as a stand alone, but you'll definitely appreciate the dynamics and history among everyone more by reading the first two books and getting Thane and Kayla's hea story.

I loved this installment in the Warrior's Challenge series and have it sitting on my favorites shelf, next to the first 5 books.

I was given Code Name: Luminous for an honest review by Natasza Waters

Lumin wakes up next to a dead man that she was trying to help and now she is in trouble and her only hope is a Navy SEAL she met back in December. He left a major impression on her and she has thought of him often but never expected to see him again.

Tony likes his love them and leave them life style but since December he has only really ever thought of Lumin. Now she is in trouble and he will do what it takes to save her but he isn't ready to lose his heart. Yeah Right!!

I also want to thank you Natasza for giving me an edited copy of Code Name: Luminous, it makes the story so much better when I don't have to try and figure out what a paragraph is about and how it fits or what the missing word in a sentence is so that being said, THANK YOU.
I look forward to reading more.

This story still pours off the pages and overflows my heart with all the feels. I'm struggling for words to describe the heartbreaking beauty and soul-sighing sweetness that enveloped me.

No matter the emotional roller coaster ride, this story is perfectly worth all the ups and downs and twisted loops.
+++++++

I finished this book about an hour ago and I'm still overwhelmed with emotions.

What I love most about Natasza's writing is how she brings her characters to life. Each one is real to me, and I feel a part of their SEAL family. The next thing is while this is fiction, she keeps things real. Very real. Painfully beautifully real. I feel everything deep inside.

I have enjoyed getting to know Tony through the whole series, and then absolutely adored him in his own book. Experiencing how he took one of the SEAL's mantras (never give up) and applied that to his lady - melted my heart. Watching Lumin bloom and blossom under Tony's care: breathtakingly beautiful.

I loved how even though Tony and Lumin were the main characters in this story and definitely stayed the primary focus, we got to spend lots of time with Thane Kayla, Mace, Nina, Cobb, and Marge. I kept giggling seeing how Thane was *still* having to chase down his woman!

This is a wonderful addition to the Code Name Warrior's Challenge series - you cannot go wrong with any of these books!!

And just as a side note: I loved how Natasza chatted with me through the story as I was sharing my thoughts, both filled with love and filled with growls. ;)

If you've been following the series and have read any of the other books, you are not going to want to miss this installment. If you haven't read the other books, consider yourself warned, you will be hooked! Start at the beginning with Ghost and Kayla or start here with Tinman and Lumin. It doesn't matter, they are all must reads. I finished reading Code Name: Luminous this afternoon. I'm still feeling out of sorts, my emotions are all over the place. As with the other books, this one did not disappoint. It portraits love (all kinds: between teammates, between lovers, between friends) bravery, camaraderie, dedication, self-sacrifice, faith that there is something more, something bigger than us, something we can't see when we lose our way through life. The story line took a turn I didn't see coming. Broke my heart, but as we know life is for the living and life does indeed go on. Ms. Waters has touched my heart with this series. Her way of writing just draws me in, the characters are real, believable. They are not perfect and are dealing with very real problems, but they find solace in each other, in their friendships and their brothers in arms. I'm still lost in a haze of _____ (something, I don't really know the right word for it). Maybe after a good night's sleep I will be able to put this odd feeling behind me and get back to my own life instead of Lumin's :)

Some books you read and some books become a part of you. Natasza Waters A Warrior's Challenge Series have become part of my life from Code Name: Ghost - book 1. The much anticipated book 6- Code Name: Redemption is a book that sucks you in and puts you right into the suspense of the story as it unfolds.
Lieutenant Commander Greg Lapierre of the JTF2, Canadian Special Forces survives his latest mission, only to come home and becomes a murder suspect. With the evidence stacked against him, Mattie Bidault, investigative journalist for the News Times Colonist in Victoria BC, is determined to solve the mystery of the recent murders by the Victoria Ripper. Lucky for the Lieutenant, Mattie needs more proof and continues to investigate. She is determined to not let these women be forgotten. With the help from the Victoria Police Department and some old friends, Admiral Thane Austen, US Navy SEAL and his wife Kayla, who happens to be Greg’s former sister-in-law for whom he has always had feelings for, come to help. Skeletons in the closet are forced out in the open.
This book captivated me from the beginning to the end. It was one of those books that I read too fast because I needed to know what happens next, but sad because I finished. Major book hangover right now.

WOW....WOW....WOW!!!

Non-stop page turner. It will keep you reading all night.

Alpha Team has a new mission. One they never thought would happen on American Soil. They only have hours to keep a newly developed form of the bubonic plaque from entering the water system and also an airborne form of it. A couple of the team members and their wife and girlfriend have been exposed to the virus and with only twelve hours to find the antidote time is not their friend.

Ghost has put Tinman in charge of the opt. He needs Tony (Tinman) to see that he is totally capable of becoming an officer. Tony has to make decisions that will affect the whole country. With no time and the ever changing form of the virus his decisions have to be made quick and he has to stand by his decisions.

You could read this as a stand alone. However you will know more about Alpha Squad if you read the entire Warrior series.

Natasza has done it again! The forth book in this military series does not disappoint. Wow! Could not put it down until the last page was read. Code Name Luminous starts where the last book ends and is a continuation of the SEAL team from San Diego and their missions. There is action, suspense and drama...Oh My! The romance is sweet and sincere and loved how Alpha Males can admit to love when it grips them down deep. Loved how characters in the other books are woven through this book consistently. There is always the feisty humor, which I love! There is laughter and tears and a great ending with yet another installment to look forward to! Thanks for giving us real, military excitement to read!
