Russian Bratva #9

Chosen by the Badman

Rate this book
Konstantin Skumin has never wanted to sign on the dotted line for a woman of his choosing. While it is the Bratva way, it’s a tradition he refuses to practice. A badman with desires both dark and relentless, he is the opposite of gentle. Even so, it cannot be denied that he harbors dreams of romantic notions he will not willingly compromise.

Kiska Barysheva has resigned herself to her fate. In three years’ time, what little freedom she has as a Bratva printsessa will be ripped away from her. The ink has long since dried, and she will be wed to the man of her father’s choosing. The only dream she has to cling to will be short lived, but she refuses to take for granted a minute of her dancing career—her small glimmer of happiness.

Yet, when the scheming of their fellow Russian badmen puts Kiska in Konstantin’s care, everything they thought they wanted changes. Their love is forbidden—his touch worthy of death--but neither one of them has the strength to say no. Their hearts have chosen, and they can’t let go.

I do not know what to say. Let's just leave it at the fact that my reviews for the book 1 and 2 pretty much sum up my problems with this whole series. Because in all honesty, there is not a lot of difference between the 11 books in this series.

At this point, I cannot even say that I had high hopes for this one... or any hopes at all. However, this whole "I do not want a girl trapped by a contract" was sort of nice from Konstantin. But, it was too good to be true.

Where Pasha chose the worst possible husband for Oksana, Kirill did the same with Akim. How original, right?

FOR GOODREADS

I'm going to keep this quite simple.

I loved this book! Talk about passion to the T!

This was my brain the entire time I was reading

giphy (2).gif

whereas my face was doing this

giphy (3)

On a serious note, Chosen by the Badman is Hot, Passionate and the characters are badass in their own terms.

I loved Kiska for her will and determination to fulfill her dreams. I loved her strength and dedication and her ability to love unconditionally. Konstatin is broody, stubborn, loyal, dark and an alpha male through and through.
Kiska is the yin to Konny's yang.. the soft and delicate to Konny's hard and tough character. I loved these two together. I love couples are unconventional and unique. Kiska and Konstatin are no different.
I love their protectiveness and love for each other, their ability to support each others dreams and be the pillars of encouragement.

I hope you give this book a try...I don't think you will be disappointed.

Really liked it. Great story also the chemistry between Kiska and Kon is great. I was just a little bit disappointed that the couples from the other books where hardly mentioned. Also I just can not believe that Kirell would choose someone like Akim 🤔

I’m beyond ecstatic Konstantin has his story! He’s been so loyal throughout this series and he deserved his own slice of happiness.

CBTB is a good story. My only complaint is there could have been more story of the actual story. I feel like the extensive sex scene over shadowed the overall story. Don’t get it wrong. The sex scenes are important. I know it plays an important part overall. However, I believe balance is important. In this story the sex scenes outweighed everything at 70% of the story. With that being said, this story is still worth reading!

3.5 stars!

Disclaimer: This review is my personal opinion of this story. As usual my personal opinion should have ZERO influence on your experience with the story. With that being said, read, enjoy, and leave a review!

I don't know who all are these people who gave this book 5 star rating and what kind of lonely life they lead." No offense."
For a smut, its.... average and for my inner feminist?
Judge for yourself:
“You’re bringing me to help your fuck buddy?” she screeches. My grip on the steering wheel tightens, and I know that if I weren’t driving my kneejerk reaction would be to backhand her.
SO imagine you are out with your boyfriend and you criticize him... his knee jerk reaction is to backhand you...!
I am no prude. I love me fair share of erotica and BDSM. I even like one hot asshole alpha too... but treat me or think about me like this? Trust me to give them one nice asswhoopin!
The story was very interesting and I loved how nicely it came together, but for me, i didn't feel their connection and how the author got away with justifying h falling in love with H's look is her falling in love with him?
Also what did she loved about him? His not letting her enjoy? His treating her friends badly? His constant need to "let or not let" her do things and if she did the same to him? she is labeled kid?
This shit took fun away for me.
So all those who just want to enjoy the erotica without getting into major details? This Book Is Foe YOU. ENJOY!
If the story was more concentrated on, this could have been a great book.
Also i don't understand the need of females making females look bad?

Loved this story

I love Kiska and Konstantin.

Konstantin has been wonderful throughout these books. He has also been a hero thorough them. He needs a strong woman and one that understood him. We have finally gotten far enough in this series were someone's child was old enough to get married.

Kiska is a princess in the mob. She needs to be protected and needs a man that will do everything that that entails. But Kiska has a contract already when she meets Konny. But that won't stop these two from their destiny.

Another great story.

Kiska was contracted at 16 to Akim. 2 years later she went to NY to pursue her ballet career. Konstantin 32 was not interested in contract marriage was asked by Timofhei to guard Kiska. They were attracted to each other. After gotten her virginity he was hooked. He was a lil bit into hardcore sex. He tried to broken up their relationship for two weeks but his pakhan advised him to pursue Kiska. He killed her childhood friend whore who has crushes on him but betrayed him. He stubbornly didn’t want to hand a contract for Kiska. Kiska’s father has prostrate cancer and eventually he blessed them without the contract. 5 years later, she was pregnant and he held a surprise wedding for them.

This was a fantastic book to kind of wrap up the original Bratva series (Its not done, there is a spin off and more to come!). We have seen Konstatin in several books but even though he is a Brigadier in the Bratva and in his 30s, he hadn’t found the right woman to marry yet.
Kiska is the now grown up daughter of Krill and Tatyana (Dancing for the Badman - Book 3 of the Russian Bratva series) and has been contracted to marry another Brigadier in the Bratva, but first she’s moving to NYC to pursue dancing for the next 3 years. Konstatin has been asked to look after her while she’s living there. Once he has his sights on her, he wants her, and her, him. As they start to pursue a relationship, even though it’s against the rules, they run into roadblocks.
This is where the book gets fun and you get your dose of drama. The couple has to contend with an old friend of Konstatin’s who wants him for herself, plus they have to figure out how to get Kiska out of her marriage contract.

I loved these characters. Even though Kiska is almost half his age, she has an air of maturity about her that allows her to handle everything in a more adult way than most 18 year olds. Their chemistry as a couple of off the charts and I find myself wishing I could have Konny for myself.

Can’t wait to read the spinoff book coming later this spring.

Be prepared for when you start Chosen by the Badman, you will not want to eat or sleep till you finish the last page!

I was excited to read the latest installment of Hayley Faiman Russian Bratva series because finally we were getting Konstantin's story. In previous books, he was deadly, intense but seemed to be a little more warmer and sensitive to the women of the Bratva. Little did I know he would fall for Kiska, the daughter of the powerful Kirill. In this book, he is still deadly and intense but shows Kiska the power of desire and intimacy.

Kiska might be young and was sheltered in a way but she is far from naive when it comes to the Russian Bratva and what it means to be the daughter of a powerful man. Knowing her future is already decided she shows spirit by surrendering to the sexy Konstantin and embracing his brand of kink.

This was an amazing book. Filled with major descriptive sensual encounters and danger that come with being a Russian Bratva. While reading you end up trying to decide who is friend or foe. Loyalties and friendship will be tested and broken. I didn't want this story to end!

Hayley has taken me so deep into this Russian Bratva world. I love every Badman she has created, and Konstantin is no exception. Konstantin is amazing. He is flawed, and has an ass side, but overall he is a great guy. This dark, brooding man longs for someone to share his life with. But he doesn’t want to go about it in the “traditional” Bratva way.
I love how strong and confident Kiska is for being so young and having Kirill as a father. She is full of spit and fire!!! Despite having her life planned for her, she has hopes and dreams, and wants to live her life before she has to fulfill her Bratva contract.
Their immediate attraction was palpable. I was cheering them on from the very beginning.
This story took some turns I was not expecting.
I love every installment of this series and I can’t wait for the next one.

Chosen by the Badman was a great 5 star read.
I was so excited to read this final book in the series, especially since we get to read about Krill and Tatyana’s daughter.

Kiska has been contracted to marry a Brigadier and she’s not happy about it. However she does get to pursue her dream of dancing for three years before her big day.
Konstantin has been trying to find a bride but has had no luck. When he is asked to watch over Kiska he is immediately drawn to her.

These two have a connection as soon as they see each other and I loved how protective and possessive Konstantin was of Kiska. You can just feel the hotness and attraction coming right off the pages. Very panty melting, especially with some of the things that Konstantin would say.

I stay right where I am and allow him to touch me, to taste me, wishing that he would taste me --everywhere

You’re contracted, and I’m not a man you want between your thighs, trust me.

Of course rules are made to be broken, however can these two make it work and get what they want? There is some added drama that comes along with secondary characters which added a great element to the story. My emotions were all over the place as well.

Hayley has once again pulled me, there is something that I absolutely love about her writing, she doesn’t sugar coat anything and lets the language and hot sexy times fly.
I am looking forward to reading Bought by the Badman the spinoff standalone from this series.

Kiska Barysheva has been contracted to man she has no desire to marry, but been given three years to dance in New York before she has to get married. In New York, she's to be guarded by Konstantin Skumin, who is a man that she feels an instant connection to, but she's not free to pursue anything. Konstantin has never found a woman of his choosing that he's wanted to sign anything for, because somewhere deep down, he wants to find a woman who truly loves him, not what he can give her, so the whole traditional contract thing is something he doesn't believe in. All of that changes when he's given charge over Kiska, but there's one problem, she's already contracted to someone else, and if anything happens between them, it could cost him his life. Chosen by the Badman is another exciting masterpiece in the Russian Bratva series by the brilliant Hayley Faiman that I devoured in less than 2 hours. Kiska was another fabulous heroine who was dying to get rid of the traditional chains that were keeping her from living her life, while Konny was that alpha Bratva man who I fell hard for, even though at times he was frustrating. They were super HOT HOT HOT together during sexy times when they ignited, and they LIT the sheets up, so I'm tellin you, no panties are safe! The entertaining cast of secondaries from previous books are present & accounted for to make the story more exciting of course, not to mention the new appearances of new ones to add more depth, plus made me laugh hard. My moments of f-bomb dropping were included as action packed twists were sprinkled in throughout. I LOVE this series, and CANNOT WAIT for that spin off book next, so I obviously HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I really enjoyed Chosen by the badman this can be read as a standalone but I suggest that you read the whole Russian Bratva series , I'm a huge fan of Hayley Faiman she has written some of my most favorite books if she is new for you you really need to one click all of her work . Kiska and Konstantin had so much chemistry the sexual tension was off the charts from the first meeting they knew there was something there but were on a time limit so their relationship was a bit forbidden but oh so steamy . Kiska is so awesome she just knows what she wants to do she lives and breaths ballet she's also a spit fire super sassy with a backbone . Konstantin is a good hero so so soooo HOT very alpha goes after what he wants and once he had a taste he wont let his woman go no matter the consequences . This was such a good read you don't want to miss out on it so one click as soon as possible and while you're at it get all of Hayley Faimans books .

I have an amazing husband, but I want a Russian!!

Chosen by the Badman was one book journey that I won’t soon forget. First off, as a ballerina myself, I was hooked by the storyline. Hayley Faiman nailed the terms, positions and life of a ballerina, so she did her homework (or she is a ballerina herself.) The fact that she knew every detail speaks volumes. Kiska is a badass heroine, who can stand on her own dainty feet. She knows what she wants and she won’t stop until she gets it. I loved her innocence and her toughness, all the same.

And then you have Mr. Badman, Konstantin Skumin, himself. Swoon. I mean ... SWOON. From the jump, he knew that Kiska was unchartered territory, but does that mean that he will stay away? With his head on the literal chopping block, he tries and he tries to keep his distance, especially with his Sladkaya being promised to another.

He vowed to protect Kiska, but where does that protection end? As her guard, or as her savior from the evil that lurks?

I absolutely LOVED every second of this book. I am definitely going to need this in paperback form, to add to my collection of favorites. If you have yet to read anything by Mrs. Faiman, make this one your first!

And Hayley Faiman has done it again, another amazing story, another amazing couple. Chosen by the Badman was amazing. This story had me crying, laughing, and swooning. I loved it so much.

If you have read Dancing for the Badman then you will know who Kishka is, she was someone who I really wanted to read more about when I finished DFTB, and this story was perfect for her. Kishka is someone who doesn’t want the life her father thinks is “normal” if you remember Kirill is a very hard headed man. So when his daughter Kishka doesn’t plan on following his rules he isn’t very happy.

Kishka was a strong, lovable, and very determine character. She wanted to be happy, she wanted a good career, and she wanted love. So when she meets Konstantin things chance for her, but her priorities don’t. Konstantin is an amazing man, he is strong, hard working, and a man who can be depended on always. He doesn't want the life they expect from him, he want love and the kind of love where you need to be signed over to.

These two had to fight to be together, they had to learn that love is worth fighting for. This is a must read, plus you will see how life turned out for Kirill and Tatyana.

I love this series. I have only read the last couple ones, but I want more. And that’s a testament to how these books can be read as standalones. They are fast, fun reads with hints or mass amounts of danger, full of alpha males and all kinds of women. Last book I read, the woman was kind of meek. However, Kiska, the female protagonist in this book, had a lot of backbone. She knew what she wanted, and the earth could burn for all she cared as long as got what she wanted while she still could…

I thought Konstantin was an interesting character in the past book, so I was really looking forward to him having his own. He seemed so controlled of his person. However, we find him having many ups and downs in this book, torn with wanting something he can’t have. A very engaging dynamic.

The beginning seemed a little … not exactly forced but rushed with the love interest. However, bypassing that, the rest flowed well and had me reading the book almost in one sitting (I had to put the book down at 70% because it was almost 2 a.m.).

I must mention that I love Faiman’s covers. They are so provocative and draw you in, as does the stories.

This was my first read by this author and I enjoyed it, alot. I know this book is part of a series, but had no problems understanding main and secondary characters. As a matter of fact I forgot it was part of the Russian Bratva series and felt as though I were reading a standalone. The chemistry between Kon and Kiska was off the charts hot! I enjoyed getting to know them both and didn't feel the age difference was a problem. Kiska is very mature for her age and had no problem handling herself or Kon. I did feel there were a few slow spots in the book and was a little disappointed with a certain part of this story.(No spoilers) I felt there could have been more to that part, considering we are dealing with the Russian Bratva. It felt a little rushed and not very climatic. Especially considering what these people had done. On a whole I would recommend this book as either part of this series or as a standalone.

I love mafia romances and Hayley Faiman writes great ones. In Chosen by the Badman, Kiska is a true Mafia daughter.  Even though she is contacted to marry a man she doesn't love, or can even stand for that matter, she is determined to go through with it. That is, as long as she can have three years of freedom to pursue her dream of dancing in New York.  Her father agrees as long as she has a bodyguard to keep her save the whole time.

Mafia member Konstantin has been getting pressure from his boss to settle down and find a wife.   Unfortunately all the woman available to him are either already contracted or married. Did he wait to long to find the right one?  When he gets the job to guard Kiska, he knows he is loss. How can he watch this beauty for three years and not fall in love? Doing so would mean death but the more time he spends with Kiska he can't imagine living without her.  Great story and beautiful cover!!!

Finally Konstantin got his book! If you are like me and have read this book from the beginning, you know we have been waiting for it to happen! I have loved this series so much and while it is ending, there is a spin off coming so that lessens the loss of some of my favorite Bratva men and the women who own them.

Now let’s face it these men can be major assholes at times, like you want to shoot them in the balls for how they act but I just can’t help but love them anyway. The women can seem weak but they have an inner strength that most don’t have especially when dealing with their men. Chosen By The Badman was another emotional, angst filled, drama happening, sexy read that has this book whore plotting out an entire series reread just so I can relive the series all over again. If you haven’t read this series by Hayley Faiman yet why are you waiting, put it on your TBR lists now.

I read all the books in this series, and I loved them all. However, Chosen by the Badman has to be, hands down, THE BEST!! This was such a perfect conclusion to Kiska’s story line. I felt like I knew this girl since she was itty bitty, and here she is now, all grown up and so ballsy!!! I loved her hard! Who knew she had all that in her??? And Konstantin ended up being her perfect match. I loved everything about their love story. The way they fought, the way they made up, the way they stood up to each other and to the world. I also loved that all the other guys made a cameo and played a big part in their amazing adventure.

I went through so many emotions while reading this book. I was happy, sad, mad, I went through it all. And it was totally worth it. If you’re having second thoughts about reading Kiska and Konstantin’s story, stop it right now. You’re going to love it. I promise.

Hayley has delivered a book that I was absolutely addicted to from the beginning. I haven't read many in this series and each time I do I kick myself for not reading them all yet. These Bratva men I tell you have me absolutely hooked.

This book had so much in it that I just couldn't put it down. You have the arranged marriage to a truly vile man, lust, sadness, angst, confusion, heartbreak, suspense, mystery, action, betrayal, secrets and so much more. Hayley truly delivered with this one and I as on the edge of my seat many times. There were points in the book where I wish I could've knocked some sense into Konstatin and others where I wanted to smack a ho and another that made me want to beat her father.

I'm telling you this book had my emotions running rampant. I think this may be one of my favorites that I have read so far and I seriously can't wait for the next!!

I have read all 9 of the Bratva books and every single one of them I say is my favorite but this one is my absolute favorite ( I think)

Konstantin has been a staple in all the previous books. He was always the one that I felt sorry for ( I don't know why but I did). I would read all the previews for the books and kinda felt sorry he never had his story told. In walks Kiska, the daughter of Kirill. Being the daughter of a Pakhan she is to be contracted to a Bratva man. But her fiancé her father chose for her turns out to be the A hole of the century. Because of the way the marriage contract reads she is allowed to live and dance in NYC for three years. She goes with her bodyguard, Konstantin, and what happens next can only happen in Hayley's books about the Badman.

Cannot wait fir the spinoff. Start writing faster Hayley.

Just like with book 3, Tatyana and Kirill’s story, I loved their daughter Kiska and Kon’s story! These two books are my favorite in the series. Kon has been a regular character throughout the series and I couldn’t wait for his story, especially since his HEA is with Kiska! I loved the age gap, she was so much younger than him and only 18, but she was also very mature and knew his world. Kiska was 100% perfect for him. I liked the little bit of ow drama thrown in too. Especially since Kon was 1000% devoted to Kiska, even with her being in an arranged marriage contract, she was his and he only saw her. I only wish Viv wasn’t ended as quickly as she was, I wanted to see Kon torture her and her know she’d never be his choice. When Kirill revealed why he was so rushed to marry Kiska off my heart sank with worry, but seeing how everything turned out in the epilogue was perfect!

FIVE STARS
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I adore Hayley Faiman's writting! Every book is well written and different than the o e before it even if the same background conflict is involved - and she never leaves an issue from a previous book unresolved!

The Badman series is one of my favorite mafia/bravta books and Chosen by the Badman was just as exceptional as the rest of the Badmen series!

Konstantin and Kiska might be my favorite badman couple now! The age differnec was hot, the ballet descriptions were well researched (ballerinas do not have pretty feet and Hayley Faiman got it right),and the interactions between both the hero and heroine and the side characters were well written!

I can't wait to see where Hayley takes this series and I wish it never had to end!!
