A crazy vacation road trip across county and a murder back home keep the Patel family hopping! A fantastic Must read series!
This is the 4th book in a wonderful fun cozy mystery series. A crazy road trip/vacation for the Patel family keeps you laughing while Meera tries to solve a murder while on the road. Once I started the book I couldn't put it down! There was so much in this storyline and so many red herrings it was so much fun to keep going to see what's next! The characters have such different personalities and were so much fun to see their reactions to their vacation and the road trip itself. Back home, the murder of Charlie was so surprising. What could possibly be a motive? I felt really bad for Leo the boy Charlie took in! Could he have killed Charlie, the police are sure of it, but Meera and her cousin, Tony are not so sure. Then Leo is found dead with a suicide/confession note. Now Meera really is not sure who killed Charlie and why Leo is dead, So she has her friend Becky do the leg work back home to look into the crime and report back, and the officer, Stan fills Meera in too. Loved the surprise ending and also the kids from THORK. I just know that somewhere down the line, they will appear again to Meera and Co. This book was so exciting. And the step-sister that showed up and maybe Meera's defenses against her mother is thawing just a little. I can't wait to see what happens in the 5th episode of Meera Patel. I received and ARC from the author but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own!

Nice cozy mystery for a summer read. Would love to see Meera and Tony become a romantic couple.Meera’s father needs to get his head out of his own butt. I’m still on the fence about the return of the mother and the introduction of a spoiled little sister.
