Storm #1-5

Mr. Banks

Rate this book
Alternate cover and title for asin B00USONFXM

I named my vibrator after Tim Banks, Hollywood's hottest star. Now he's standing in my bedroom and he's nearly naked. Somebody pinch me.

In Liverpool, Nova Scotia, population 2,700, dating opportunities are extremely thin on the ground. You know what that means? Let’s just say I've resorted to naming my vibrators after Hollywood actors and I shop for batteries on a weekly basis.

Such is the life of a coffee shop owner in a small town, but it suits me just fine. I'm hiding from the world. All I want is peace and quiet.

Then Tim Banks shows up in Liverpool for a film shoot and everything changes.

British, with a panty melting accent? Oh yes.

Hot, ripped and unbelievably sexy? Fuck yeah.

Dominant? You better believe it.

And entirely off limits.

I should have stayed away from him, but I didn’t. And I’m about to discover Tim Banks and I live in very different worlds.

Sweet and sexy BDSM romance between nice guy Dom/British movie star H and Canadian corporate exec hiding out in a small town after a sad event in her life. Both H and h were very likeable and sex scenes were hot and plentiful, lol, but a couple of things bothered me so I'm rating it lower than I could have.
1. H had a dead ex he truly loved, I don't like that trope
2. H just told h he wanted her and left it up to her to join him in ( in fact immigrate to!) another country, without a single word for 2 months. I like more alpha H's who'd pack up the h and drag her away or just move in with her. It all seemed rather lukewarm to me....

Who doesn't fantasize about being swept off their feet by the movie star of their dreams?
As much as I wanted to be sensible, I wanted to do this. I wanted to run away with Tim Banks into the sunset. Just like a fairy tale. Even though fairy tales weren't real.
Sexy and Adorable. You gotta love box sets for the simple fact that you get the WHOLE story from beginning to end. No waiting for the next book in the series, no fretting over cliffhangers...

Just you,
Five books,
One Smokin-hot movie star,
and a whole duffle bag full of sex toys...
Not YOUR sexy toys, Timothy banks comes with his own arsenal...
But, ya know, if you feel the need to break out a bag of sex toys after reading The Storm Box set, I wouldn't be surprised ;)

Tim and Tessa are such fun characters - their first interactions were charmingly awkward, and I really felt a connection between them as they got to know one another... Not in an insta-love kind of way, it just seemed like these two could be really perfect for each other, and watching their relationship evolve was a treat.

Yes there's romance brewing in a small town in Nova Scotia where a Hollywood film crew has set up shop for the winter.

Tessa Aubrey
All my life I never understood why romance novels talked about dangerous men as if they were a sexy thing, But when I looked into Timothy Banks' eyes, I realized why. He wasn't dangerous. His smile had been friendly, his manner faultlessly polite. But the clear blue waters of the ocean conceal an undercurrent that can pull you under and cause you to drown, and I saw that danger in the storm that was Timothy Banks' eyes.
Tessa holds the sole POV for the series - She's just the kind of female MC I love to read - Smart, silly, mature, and perfectly confident in her kinky predictions.

Tessa runs a combination pizzeria/coffee shop in her sleepy little town. She works all day and spends her free time painting in her little apartment above her business. It's a quiet, simple life, and that's exactly how she wants it.

Until a storm brings the most jaw-droppingly sexy man she's ever seen right into her life...

Timothy Banks
"Once upon a time," he continued, "I would believe that people are inherently nice and good, unless proved otherwise. Now, it seems like I am mistrustful until trust has been earned. And I hate that about myself."
If there was any insta-love in this series, it was my immediate adoration of this character - He shattered so many overused stereotypes and was just plain dazzling.

Timothy Banks might be a ridiculously sexy movie star with a swoon-worthy accent, but he's also just a regular guy. No weird controlling tendencies - well, outside the bedroom anyway - he's so nice and unassuming and it is impossible not to like this guy! Tessa never stood a chance....

The sexual chemistry between these two was off the scales - even if their brains took a moment to catch up :)

There were more than a few laughs and warm-fuzzies to balance out the steam being generated by this series.

We've got a playful, light BDSM sexual dynamic that was drool-worthy. The kink increases a little more with each book, and all the variety keeps the reader on their toes.

Tessa and Tim are dynamite in private, but Tim is a celebrity, so he's very much in the public eye. Nova Scotia might be light-years away from Hollywood, but it is not too far for the paparazzi to catch up with Tim.

Tessa has no idea how to navigate a pseudo-relationship with the heartthrob movie star of her dreams, but she's determined to soak up every last moment she can with him before his film crew leaves her sleepy little town.

The Storm box set explores themes of
Love,
Lust,
Trust,
Honesty,
& Forgiveness...

I smiled,
I laughed,
I swooned,
I squirmed...

I LOVED IT!

This series was just fabulous!
If you prefer your romance to be between two mature adults,
If you like your female main characters to be smart, sassy, and adventurous,
If you love your leading men sweet on the surface and dominant in the bedroom...

If you have a lusty crush on a certain British actor named Tom Hiddleston... Because let's get real for a second, there isn't any other human on the planet who more closely resembles this character - Sweet, kind, funny, humble, charming, effortlessly sexy, and who (we hope/assume) enjoys doling out a good spanking in the bedroom - Yeah, It was Tom Hiddleston's voice playing in my head as I read Timothy Banks' delicious dialogue... Couldn't have been anyone else :)

Side Note: If you're curious about the Storm box set, but you're not quite ready to commit, the first book, Storm: The Hottest Guy in Hollywood FREE on Amazon. There's really no excuse to pass this up - #OneClick this bitch and find out why Timothy Banks is my new Book Boyfriend!

Flojito, ya visto, ya leido. Empezo bien, pero fue decayendo hasta no ser mas que paginas y paginas de sexo. Sin emocion, sin tension

Good scenes but there was just something missing for me. The H and the h didn’t do it for me at all. They seemed to lack the chemistry. That I can’t wait for them to be together vibe. They just didn’t do it for me

This was my first read by this author, and most definitely won’t be my last. I enjoyed the storyline, loved the characters, and really thought it was perfectly written. Tessa is a young woman who ran to Nova Scotia to get away from a life that she no longer felt she belonged in. Living in a small town also means you don’t have to worry about relationships. Until the day Tim Banks, an actor, walks into her world and changes everything.

Tim is dominant, yet has a soft side to him as well and is what made him so appealing to me. Tessa is a breath of fresh air and I loved her charm and wit. The characters interactions made me laugh and cry and hope that they would eventually end up together. They have incredible chemistry and are so steamy, the pages smoked as I turned them. There really is so much to love about their story that I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The weather was horrible, but what's new. Tess was finishing up her day at her business when the door opened. A man doing a really good imitation of a drown rat walked in. At first gives this couple Tessa is spellbound. Could it really be him? Time didn't wait too long to answer that question.
The writing of this book is stupendous. It's an easy read with a medium paced story. The characters are a little flawed but that's okay, it works in their favor. Tessa staid and steady and Tim ready to fly by the seat of his pants. They just click. It made me fantasize about my Hollywood crush and how I'd feel if this happened to me. Ms. Crescent gives this couple hurdles to deal with. She keeps them real.

I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it blew my socks off. The author provided me a coy of the book but I chose to review it.

Tessa lives in the small town of Liverpool, Nova Scotia running a coffee shop when her celebrity crush is standing almost naked in her bedroom after she rescued him from a storm. Tim Banks is an actor with a British accent and a hot ripped body. He is very dominant and although they should live in separate worlds as they have already collided there is no way for them to part now.

This was an ok book as their coincidental meeting led to a relationship which explored a BDSM D/s style sexual relationship and ended it with something which was far deeper than just sex. This story tried to look at the potential pressures of a relationship between a famous actor and a local woman. I liked Tim who was a nice guy underneath everything but I wasn't keen on Tessa who just didn't feel right to me. Contains mature content and a HEA.

I usually don't like the celebrity trope because I can't connect with that life in any way. Also it was really predictable when the couple's main problem was the paparazzi. It felt a little weird when they knew each other for two days but she still let him tie her up and play. And him trusting her with that even with all his trust issues. He could be an abusive asshole who wanted to tie her up just so he could rape her all night. And she could be a crazy fan who wanted to make a sex tape and then sell it. Or maybe..... I watch too much Law & Order SVU. I'm glad that later on they talked about it though.
And even though I had these issues with the book I really liked it!

I found the sex scenes pretty boring but at least it's not abuse disguised as BDSM (I'm looking at you, Fifty Shades). That said, I don't think it's very good D/s either, in the sense that it's missing all the mental aspects that truly govern that dynamic.

So basically, it's just two nice people having some sorta kinky sex.

Loved this book!

Another fantastic hot and heavy sexcapade from Tara Crescent. It made me happy, sad, giggle to myself and brought a little tear to my eye.
However us brits don’t say “clothespin”! They will always be pegs regardless where you’re pegging them 😉
Never a complaint to be made about TC’s books, I’ve loved them all and this is no different. A great story

Actors are complicated hotness

This Story is fast paced. It is interesting from the first chapter... The middle is hard to put down. The ending is a little abrupt... Only because I like a little after story closure. But on the Whole I love Tara Crescent books.I'd give it 10**********

Definitely a hot read. Tessa ran to a small town to get her life together. Famous star Tim showed up in town to film. The sparks and orders flew when they came face to face. Tessa was independent but wanted to learn more about herself. Tim was caring, gentle, and very dominant. I enjoyed these two.

This is my unsolicited review.

I usually enjoy this author's works a lot, but this one fell a little short for me. It seemed to drag in places, and I felt as though the MFC's angst over her aunt's death was a little over the top. The setting and storyline were interesting, though.

Mr. banks

Insta-lust stories normally aren't my cup of tea, nor BDSM. This book was a pleasant surprise. The H was perfect, the h a little too needy, but they figured it out.
