#1 New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery writes heartwarming and humorous novels about the relationships that define women's lives—family, friendship, romance. She's best known for putting nuanced characters into emotionally complex, real-life situations with twists that surprise readers to laughter. Because Susan is passionate about animal welfare, pets play a big role in her books. Beloved by millions of readers worldwide, her books have been translated into 28 languages.

Critics have dubbed Mallery "the new queen of romantic fiction." (Walmart) Booklist says, "Romance novels don't get much better than Mallery's expert blend of emotional nuance, humor, and superb storytelling," and RT Book Reviews puts her "in a class by herself!" It's no wonder that her books have spent more than 200 weeks on the USA Today bestsellers list.

Although Susan majored in Accounting, she never worked as an accountant because she was published straight out of college with two books the same month. Sixteen prolific years and seventy-four books later, she hit the New York Times bestsellers list for the first time with Accidentally Yours in 2008. She made many appearances in the Top 10 before (finally) hitting #1 in 2015 with Thrill Me, the twentieth book in her most popular series, the Fool's Gold romances, and the fourth of five books released that year.

Susan lives in Washington state with her husband, two ragdoll cats, and a small poodle with delusions of grandeur. Her heart for animals has led Susan to become an active supporter of the Seattle Humane Society. Visit Susan online at www.SusanMallery.com.

Old legends. Can they be believed? Cassie doubts hers will work since she is adopted and not a blood relation. She was settling for her boyfriend of 9 years. She found passion. She tried not to show her love for Ryan.

I really liked how her ex flourished. Ryan didn't understand Cassie's true feelings.

Oh, my gosh, I loved this book! The magic nightgown, Cassie trying to fit into her family, Ryan learning to care for a toddler. I loved both Cassie and Ryan. She was strong without being aggressive, he was clueless about how to love, but falling in love with Cassie a little more every day. This book falls into the category of "I got nothing else accomplished today because I want to see what happens to these people" books.

Cass is a teacher to Sasha but once her parents die she becomes the nanny to the little girl who her Uncle Ryan is in charge of. Ryan has no time to take care of a child and has no clue as to really what to do with children. But when Cass comes into his life well she starts to change that.
Love this book such a delight to read. Could read it again.

Cassie was so intent on having roots in her life she didn't realize she was settling for a less than stellar guy. When she walked into Ryan's house to help him with his niece her eyes were opened and her plans changed. Settling was no longer in the cards.

This books was really good, couldn't put it down, even when I was in class.

Rule number one when it comes to love never settle. Its a good thing that Cassie Bradley Wright learned before she married her high school boyfriend. Thank goodness Ryan Lawford invoking the passion in her stale love life
