After the age of thirty, Martha realized that her life as a terran was not what it was cracked up to be. Knowing that there was more to life, she embarked on a journey that has tested her resolve, heart, and soul many times over. It continues to do so at this very moment.

She’s astounded that anyone takes any author bio seriously. Why would anything that’s written here be believed when authors are known to invent stuff out of thin air? Martha likes to thank the ether and her higher-self for the enlightenment and odd sense of wonderment about life, the universe, and what exactly she was thinking when she wrote that one obscure story that no one has yet to read, but her husband has heard about.

The oddity of society, particularly the book community has flabbergasted her, making her curious about how a em-dash or ellipses can make people think that AI had any hand in aiding an author to write. She could be sharing complete truths, complete lies, or a mixture in this very bio as you continue to read this. Why are you still reading this, she asks in your ear as if she’s sitting right next to you, right now? Does anyone really care if she’s telling the truth, I mean, come on, she’s an author for God sake? Books are written to pull you from reality with fantasy, though there is much of reality in books to some extent. Where was she going with this thought? I don’t know, don’t remember, so let us continue. What were we discussing? Oh, right, Martha Sweeney’s author bio.

She would like to sum up with this single thought: believe what you want about anything, even her. Beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking. Whether you think you’re wrong or right, you’re right either way, so why should she care what’s written in her bio because we both know you just want a story that makes you feel. That’s the purpose of books or any form of entertainment. It’s to feel something. She hopes your emotions are kicked in the ass one way or another. If you like a character, she’s content. If you hate a character, she’s content. All in all, she made you feel.

If you’re still reading this, Martha is quite impressed and is giving you an astral projected hug and hopes to meet you in person one day, or not. According to Martha, we’ve already meet if you understand entanglement.

If you are literally thinking, or saying out loud WTF?, Martha wants you to know that very same thought has entered her mind at least twenty times while dictating to me what to write. Whom am I, you ask, that’s not important. My roll is simply to write Martha’s author bio and let you know that she’s a multi-genre author, so there’s a chance you might be interested and like at least one of her currently published books. Enjoy, or not, that’s up to you.

Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney is out of this world. Her new romance novel sizzles with fire. Leaving me in love and completely satisfied with the material presented on the pages. Martha Sweeney has once again lured me deeply into her world of fiction. I have read a variety of genres written by this writer. She has never once disappointed me. Martha goes for something and does it with such raw talent that it leaves readers, like me, wondering how she does it. Magic...that's the only solution I came up with so far.

Characterization was well-done. Ivy and Rein are two unforgettable protagonists. Their chemistry and lust runs hot. Here, I got to watch as their last collided with their present lives. I got their backstory. It all made perfect sense. Yet, even with the sides and perspectives in every chapter, I still wasn't sure how how their relationship was going to work. They could end up together or broken apart again. Martha Sweeney cleverly keep me in suspense throughout the entire book. Until the ending...that's when I finally got my answer.

Hot Georgia Rein is both fast-paced and sexy as hell. Ivy and Rein can't be near each other and keep their hands off each other. Their story was sad, intense, and hilarious. They loved each other more than just bedding each other. Rein and Ivy clicked. Knew when the other was lying or what the other wanted. Yes, their relationship is unconventional. But it worked out for them. Love was raw and fresh in this contemporary romance. I was hoping for the best for them as a couple...so many twists and turns lead me to thinking certain things would never happen between them. Martha Sweeney is indeed a talented writer. I love her work. Her characters...are real. They don't follow a mold. They break every barrier set by society and still come out rocking. This was an emotional journey I truly enjoyed following. I loved it. Can't wait to see what comes out next with this writer...overall, I highly recommend reading, Hot Georgia Rein to readers worldwide.

Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney
Rated 5 stars

I enjoyed many things about this story. Henry's determination, Ivy's secrets, Grady's honesty, and Mr and Mrs A's craziness. This book was filled with emotions. Happy, laughter, sad, furious and a few teary eyes. The funny thing is usually I root for the girl because the boy does something cruel and shocking. This time I felt for Henry and was disappointed in Ivy....more than once.

Ivy has tried for years to do the right thing and be the good girl. She seems very yes and no to Henry's yes from the get-go. I do the like "heat" that is between these two. I fanned myself a couple of times. I cracked up when Ivy's mother takes her to a special store at the age of 17. Hahaha I about died! I have heard of men doing something for the boys but never a mother for her daughter. Wow!

The connection between Ivy and Henry is electric, hot and deep. Meaning every time they are near each other they have a hard time keeping their hands to themselves. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. Good for the connection but bad because they are too busy to talk about what really needs to be talked about. When he calls her “Mine” I just shudder.
I love how they refer to each other with "my" Henry or "my" Ivy without the others knowledge. When he explains other why he calls her Firefly....so so sweet! I love how he is so determined that the two of them will be together. He is a strong, determined and one sexy guy! I really wished the best for Henry.

I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book in return for nothing but an honest review.

This is the sweet love story of Ivy Lynn Abney and Henry Lee Rein, friends from childhood, and basically they have been in love with each other all their lives. But first loves never last, life and choices always make it impossible to live the dream. Ivy had ambitions to get out of the small town life, and succeed. Henry had no desire to leave, and never really was sure of his ambitions other than to spend his life with Ivy. Ivy left for New York and started her own business, Henry stayed in the small town and got married. Now 3 years since they had last seen each other, Ivy returns to pay her respects at the funeral of Henry’s wife. Things have changed, yet they haven’t, both Ivy and Henry are just as crazy in love with each other as before, but can Henry claim the love of his life and keep her this time? He’s determined not to fail !!

I really enjoyed this story, although i do have to say that i wasn’t particularly keen on Ivy. She came across as a little selfish and self centered to me. What she wanted was the most important aspect of her life for her. Henry was sweet, charming, adorable and crazy hot !! Any woman would be ecstatic to have a man like that, so devoted to her. Their meeting again and the old feelings coming back was no surprise to either of them nor to us the reader. Ivy sure made Henry work hard to get back into Ivy’s life. Both were keeping secrets, that they wanted and needed to share but it took them a little time to get there. This author writes a good compelling story with characters and you find easy to get involved with. The family relationships, and antics certainly had me laughing many times. Ivy’s brother Grady, was perfect, he was that sibling that you adored yet was the proverbial pain in you a**!!! The parents were awesome, even if hilarious at times. There was a good amount of emotion in this book, and little twists to really pull at your heart strings. All in all its was an enjoyable read, even if at times it was slightly predictable. I would deffo recommend it, if you want an emotional yet light read

4 Star Review for Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney

Review by Jenny

This was a very sweet second chance at love with your first love type of story. Girl and Boy meet as children, fall in love( that first love that's innocent) then she moves away for college and he marries someone else. Now he's a widower and she's back in town. The sparks fly but they both have secrets that could break them apart once again. I sometimes though I felt the chemistry was lacking and that the characters were a little flat. Some scenes felt forced, and I had a hard time with those.
Otherwise it was very sweet story second chance at love story.

Once again, Martha Sweeney delivers.

I have read EVERY book by this author and she still continues to blow me away with her diversity. From sci-fi to erotica, from romance to thrillers she has a corner on almost all the markets and her growth shows on the pages.

Georgia Rein is that classic, southern, small town love! It's that "young sweethearts" love! It's that nostalgic hotness that I adore!

Henry like all of Sweeney's lead men was man candy with so much kick back of rebel!

Ivy is everything of sugar and spice but more naughty than nice and I FLOVED HER! Single mom greatness! As a single mom I can honestly say bravo!

The parents! Ivy's parents! Please, if they were real people I would be over every morning for breakfast.

Her brother....Grady wins awards for his well dedicated role as brother. That thing you love but it gets on your last nerve but then you love it again.

This is a fantastic story of fresh starts and the laughter is well balanced by the sweetness!

Don't miss this one....

I loved reading Hot Georgia Rein. I actually devoured it. I did not move until I had finished reading this, I was so hooked.

Where Henry and Ivy lived it was a stereo typical small town. I can understand why Ivy would want to leave. Having people judge every single aspect of your life must be hard.

'To outsiders, Blackburn is a beautiful place to visit and get away from daily lives. To the locals, it's as if you're stuck in time. No one believes in divorce, most people are intensely religious, and the town loves to gossip about who lives in it and those who visit.'

Ivy moved away and got a new life. She had to. Staying in her home town was too much and she could not take it anymore. Until, years later, when she has to come back. Whenever a person has to come back to their hometown it is rarely for a happy reason.

This is where she sees her first love, Henry. Henry is an awesome character. I usually love the male characters the best and Henry was no exception.

Henry and Ivy are now in the same town. So you would hope that things would go back to the way they were before she left. However, life is not that simple. They have both changed and have secrets. But the sexual tension is still there.

'The sexual tension is hotter than a hookers doorknob on payday.'

That is an awesome expression! I am using that one more often.

Overall, this book did not disappoint me in the slightest. It was an amazing read with twists that were unexpected and some that were expected. I would highly recommend this read.

I have to admit I was not expecting this story! I should know to expect the unexpected when it comes to this author! She always delivers a fantastic read and this story was no exception. It was definitely one of those stories that makes you think about what you are reading. It was a sweet second chance romance story with two really likeable main characters. It didn’t take me long to become completely wrapped up in Ivy and Henry’s story. The only thing I really love about this authors books is how easy they are to read. They have a great flow and pace to them that makes them hard to put down.
I really liked Ivy – I could really feel her inner turmoil with regards to the situation she found herself in with Henry. They were clearly very drawn to each other and I would say that they were each other’s soul mate. I think the author did a great job with filling in the blanks about their relationship so you could get a sense of just how important they were to each other. I totally fell in love with Ivy’s son – he was just adorable!!
Henry took a while for me to warm too but as the story progressed and his honesty and feelings came out I started to see things from his side too. Things aren’t always as they seem!! It was pretty obvious how much he loved Ivy.
I really did enjoy this standalone book and would definitely recommend it for lovers of second chance romances! As always I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney is a second chance romance that has been made more intricate and fiery with the time spent apart.

Ivy is hiding a secret. One she knows that she must share. But until now, it hasn't really been something she could just announce without upsetting too many lives. But when she has to make the trip back home for the first time in years, she knows that now is the time to tell him.

Henry has suffered through his mistakes. One decision, the wrong decision, set his life on a track that he doesn't want to be on. Trying to make it work he holds on to his marriage by the tips of his fingers. But when his wife unfortunately passes away Henry knows now is the time to take the chance he threw away all those years ago. As long as it isn't too late.

From the moment they meet again the passion is evident between Ivy and Henry. And yet the more time that passes, the harder it is for Ivy to share the secret that will eventually come out.

Although the story wasn't for me the book was well written and thought out. It keep you as the reader on your toes, guessing what might happen next. I would definitely give this author another chance.

Hot Georgia Rein was a very fast paced read by Martha Sweeney. Told in dual POV of Henry and Ivy, we see their pasts as well as the present.
Henry and Ivy have a connection that sets the sheets on fire anytime their near each other. When Ivy left for New York for school she left behind her first love, Henry. Through the years she came back and like moths to a flame they were inseparable, until Henry gets engaged. With her heart broken and now a secret to carry she avoids home and Henry. When she must go home for a funeral, she is nervous to see him again.
Henry has always known Ivy was it for him, and when she comes back he's determined to show her that.
They each have secrets that they carry with them, and are scared to say them aloud. But when they all come to light, will they come to be too much?
I want to say so much about this book but if I say one thing it could ruin it all. This is a must read of you like second chance romances and bedroom scenes that set your kindle ablaze!!

Hot Georgia Rein is a fiction romance written by Martha Sweeney. This is my first time reading a book by this author and I loved it. This is a second chance novel. Have you ever had a relationship that ended that you always wondered “what if” or “what happened” or “if I did this or said this “etc?? I know I have. These two characters that I deeply fell in love with are Ivy and Rein (Henry). These two are madly in love but Ivy wanted more than the little town that she lived in offered and had the mindset of the grass is always greener on the other side theory. Ivy eventually decides to leave town for the “big city” and starts a business with her best friend. Rein moves on and marries another woman. Tragedy strikes and Rein’s wife passes away and that brings Ivy back into town for the funeral. The past will be revisited; old wounds and truths will be revealed. This story was such an unconventional love story that really worked for me and kept me turning those pages at a fast pace. I give this book 5 stars!

Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney is a wonderfully written story about true love and the tough choices we often have to make in life. Henry and Ivy's relationship is one of true love, tough decisions, heartbreak and healing. As much as I loved their story, what I really loved in this book was the relationship between Ivy and her family, that may seem a bit funny since they story is about Henry and her. But I really enjoyed the family aspect of this book, it was full of love, laughter and just a unique family bond. Each character is told in the two main characters POV which I enjoy because it gives a fuller picture to what each person has going through their minds. I absolutely loved this story and will be adding it to my list of read again. This is my first book by this author but I definitely can't wait to see what else she has to offer! Five star all the way for creating a story I wanted to live in.

I have to be honest, I struggled with this book. When I read the synopsis, I jumped at reading it because it was a second chance romance (I really love those). But as I started reading, I (personally) didn't like the path it was going.

I tried to put myself in the shoes of Ivy and what she was going through and dealing with and how she would explain things that happened in the past with Henry. Then I tried to imagine my husband in Henry's shoes, dealing with loss.

I broke the story down and separated out characters and situations so that I could file those away and make them not part of the story; when I do that, the story has a good premise.

As always, Martha Sweeney's book has blown me away. The detail, the real-life events... it made me feel as if I was Ivy!

My favorite part of the book has to be the vows. Most of the other books I have read skip them! I feel that, that makes the book more realistic. The vows were absolutely BEAUTIFUL, heartfelt, and made me tear up a little. This book is my favorite by Martha.

I give this book 5 stars because of the beautiful story, well developed characters, and an all around amazing book. I will be recommending this book to many.

This is my first Martha Sweeney book and although I had a difficult time getting into the story, it was a pleasant read. Small town romances have always been at the top of my TBR lists, but this book was much more than that.

Ivy & Henry have a long history and the circumstances that bring them back together are difficult. Secrets are revealed. Life's are reconnected.

Good character development and storyline along with some outstanding writing makes this book a good read.

Ivy and Henry fell in love at a very young age and and had to fall apart in order to build a successful for each other. After a few years some situations bring them back together and they get a second chance at love.

They kept secrets from one another but at the end it all worked out. I really enjoyed this story. And great characters. I was a little annoyed by how the people in the town acted, I hope people is not kike that for real.

Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney is filled with love, loss, and second chances.

Sweeney does a great job of portraying what is like to have "what if's" and know in your heart the one you want is the one you let get away.

Both Ivy and Henry have so many regrets. But together they've created so much love.

***3 Stars***
Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney

I normally love second chance romances, which is why the synopsis for Hot Georgia Rein sucked me in. I give this book 3 stars, as it was really difficult for me to even get through. The first thing that turned me off with the book was how the author decided to throw in the possibility that the HPV vaccination may have led to Julianna’s cancer. That information seemed rather oddly placed and I honestly didn’t feel like it was necessary in the story for the author to even mention. I also didn’t care for how the author continuously referred to people in the town as being of pure breed or mixed breed.

The book went back and forth between Ivy and Henry’s point of view, however that didn’t flow very smoothly for me. There were times were both Ivy’s and Henry’s chapters and views on the same situation would literally just be the exact same quoted conversation repeated from one character's chapter to the other character’s chapter. The idea of reading both characters points of view for me is so that each of their feelings, reactions and viewpoints to events could be explored. I felt like this was lacking and there were complete sections I found myself skimming because it was just an almost duplicate repeat of a conversation or exchange, just with the other character’s name as the title of that chapter. The story could’ve been condensed and I might have felt more of a connection to the character’s if more of their thoughts and feelings were shown.

There were some steamy scenes with Ivy and Henry reconnecting emotionally and physically to one another. The author used a few great southern small town expressions as well, such as “the sexual tension was hotter than a hooker’s doorknob on payday” and the “tension is wound tighter than a dog on a coon hunt.” Overall, the synopsis was really what drew me in. I liked the added stress of long lost love being rekindled under complicated circumstances and the concerns of what people will think and how things will look to those in the small town. This story just fell flat for me. There were things different characters did and said that seemed to just not quite work. The romance, steaminess, and happy conclusion to the story were nice. The way Henry and Ivy grew personally and professionally was nice as well, with the author showing that the characters continued on with their lives even while their hearts remained with each other. I would actually like to know more about what the future holds for some of the minor, less-developed characters, such as Grady, CeCe, and Drew.

Hot Georgia Rein is a standalone novel from author Martha Sweeney. This is my second book from this author, and defiantly won’t be my last. I cannot wait to see what other great stories this author gives us, and what else she will bring to this series that I have currently read.

This was an incredible book. I was well hooked from the first page until the very last. I was captivated, entranced and well and truly blown away.
This book had various themes throughout it from love, romance, passion, friendship, family and let’s not forget secrets. This book also had a great deal of emotions from the characters that as the reader I could truly feel, such as, love, passion and heartache, happiness, sadness and fear I’ve laughed, smiled, cried, been on the edge of my seat wondering what could happen surely this book can’t be perfect the whole way through, I was reading and constantly waiting for something shocking to happen, but I’m so glad that nothing ruined everything our two main characters Henry & Ivy have fought for.
This book had some incredible scenes between the two main characters and I loved reading their interactions with each other. You could tell that what these two characters had is real, it’s something that has lived on with each other over time, with neither of them ever moving on. They have an undeniable connection that was passionate, real and finally came to both of them at a time in their lives when thing could finally be laid to rest and things between them could actually survive.

Even after their many years apart to you could immediately tell how connected Henry & Ivy was. They both had an understanding with each other, and a connection so strong it was like nothing could break them, and luckily once secrets are revealed, things don’t go to wrong with them. The times through this book you really hoped nothing would get in between what these two incredible characters have, you are routing for them from the get go. They have passion for each other inside and outside the bedroom, they have respect for each other, they have banter with one another, they understand each other, know what the other likes and dislikes or what makes them tick and know when there is something up with the other, this just shows what true soul mates, Henry & Ivy are.

This book was made even more brilliant by the secondary characters that were in this story. I loved Grady, and Cece but I also loved the communication Ivy and her momma has, it reminded me so much of my relationship with my mum I couldn’t help but enjoy every interaction they had together. It was great to get to meet these characters within this book, but I hope we get the chance to read their stories in full.

Another great thing with this book is that it was written in dual POV’s. I love reading it from the characters POV’s as we get to really see their thoughts and feeling from them rather than the other person. I also think it helps connect with a character as you get to understand some of their reasons of their actions!

This is a great story of love, second chances, family and new starts. It’s an easy, enjoyable, lovable, passionate read that I would highly recommend. Do not miss this read!

Hot Georgia Rein
By: Martha Sweeney
5 out of 5 stars

The story Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney is a contemporary romance book. This is a wonderful and beautifully written story about a couple who are trying to see if they can start their relationship again after their first attempt at love ended. This story is one that hooked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the last page. This story asks the question that if first loves don’t work out is there a second chance for the couple at a later time? The story of Ivy Lynn Abney and Henry Lee Rein had my emotions going on an up and down ride all the way through. These two have a chemistry that can’t be denied even after they have been apart for a while. This story had me laughing, getting misty-eyed, and saying “Aww” all throughout the book. I loved the character of Ivy Lynn. She is a smart and independent woman who has made a great life for herself. The only problem is that she had to make a decision that was heartbreaking. Now due to circumstances she has returned home and is once again face to face with the man that she never really stopped loving, Henry Lee. When reading about Henry Lee I couldn’t help but ask myself why he let Ivy go so easily if he really loved her. I loved that this time around that he is determined that they stay together. Both of these characters have done a lot of growing since they last saw each other. All through this book, I wanted this couple to have the happy ending they deserve. However, there are secrets that have been kept by both of them. Once revealed will they be able to get past them and find their future together or will these secrets crush any chance they may have? This author knows how to create a story with an amazing storyline and characters. I look forward to reading more of her books. If you love romance this is a book you don’t want to miss. This story does have adult situations which include steamy love scenes. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

Martha Sweeney knows how to capture the warmth of romance in the strands of her words. From the first page, I felt connected to Ivy and her southern family. The hot and heavy romance was paired with genuine storytelling, and I enjoyed how Sweeney focused on the development of the characters. Many times I find that romance authors focus too much on the romantic scenes and not enough with character development. However, Sweeney broke the mold with Hot Georgia Rein.

Ivy and Henry represent a romantic couple that is all too familiar – the estranged couple who have separated but are still hung up on the past. The tension between them guided the story, and it presented a beautiful sadness too. Having gone through a similar circumstance, I felt connected to Ivy and Henry’s relationship. I couldn’t help but root for them throughout the book, and I felt bonded to their personalities. Sweeney’s writing is fast moving and void of filler, which had me on the edge of my seat. I am a sucker for painful romances paired with a southern flair, and Sweeney completely won me over.

The only reason I didn’t give Hot Georgia Rein 5 out of 5 stars is that I found some of the scenes to be a bit corny. The relationship between Ivy’s parents was too romantic in my opinion, even though their romance was important to the story. I think that their scenes could have been toned down a bit, and the effect of the novel would not change. However, these scenes didn’t detract me from enjoying my reading experience, and I am sure that hardcore romance readers will enjoy them.

Hot Georgia Rein is a saucy southern romance with a twinge of irresistible sadness, and Sweeney kept me thoroughly entertained throughout her book. I look forward to reading her other work! If you are a romance fan, Sweeney is not an author to miss.

I was so excited when I saw this book, Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney, on my Kindle. Sweeney is an author that I always get a bit giddy for! She tells such great stories… her characters are so incredibly relatable and likable. She can make up complete new worlds, and she has with Knight Takes Pawn, and they are utterly fantastic!! I’ve read every single book of hers and get so excited now when I know there’s a new one coming… although, I can tell you that I am waiting as impatiently as I can, for The Killmores… dying here!!! Anyway… back to Hot Georgia Rein…

Hot Georgia Rein is a second chance standalone that is as sweet as it is southern. Ivy is the normal southern belle with hospitality, kindness, and grace but also having that strength and bit of rebellion that the south is known for. Henry is an amazing male lead! Henry is as hot as the southern asphalt! He also has that good ol’ boy image that weakens your heart and wets your painties! Oh man… all the characters are just amazing! Grady and his over-protectiveness just makes my heart sing! Then, there’s Ivy’s parents… they are just picture perfect southern parents!!

Sweeney writes a story that will suck you in and make it nearly impossible to set down! Sweeney continues to hit us with humor and sweetness. I love me a good second chance story and this one is oozing with the possibilities of new beginnings. Sweeney played this book perfectly… I had no idea how Ivy and Henry could even work.. it seemed impossible. I ripped through this hot, fast-paced story with likable and relatable characters!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeny is a contemporary romance story that will keep you engaged until the last word. This story is about two people giving their love a second chance. This story will show you that first love and first break-ups can be heartbreaking but there is hope for healing and finding love again. This is the story of Ivy and Henry. They are first loves and have been heartbroken since they broke up three years ago. Will fate give them another chance for love? These two have so much chemistry and they have a connection that is strong. You will find yourself hoping that they will get their HEA. You will fall in love with them as they take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions. This author has created a romance story that will pull you in from the first word. Her attention to detail and writing style make the story free flowing. The characters she created are connectable, lovable, and true to life. My favorite character is Ivy. She is strong, independent and strong willed. These two will make you question whether or not they will give their love a second chance. There are a few twists and turns in this story that will leave you waiting to see what will happen next. Lies and secrets, will that be what determines their future? Henry is hot and sexy and has a determination to make their relationship work that wasn't there the first time around. He made me a little sad how he didn't fight hard enough for her the first time the broke up. But wait until you see what he does this time! I highly recommend this story, this author's books will keep you reading until the last page. You will lose yourself in her stories. What will fate have in store for Ivy and Henry?

Hot doesn't describe this sizzling story...

HOT GEORGIA REIN was my first book by Martha Sweeney, and boys does she know how to write them! Hot really isn't an apt description, sizzling would be so much better. This is such a wonderful story of two people so in love, but separated by circumstances and misunderstandings. There are secrets kept, hearts broken, words unspoken and a love that is passionate and all consuming.

I fell in love with the two main characters Ivy and Henry, both extremely unforgettable, for different reasons. Ms Sweeney beautifully wove their past backstory in with the current day events, with such ease, that the strength of their relationship is easy to understand.

Ivy had one ambition in life, to leave her small country town and move to the big city, she wanted more out of life. She fulfilled this ambition when she moved to New York and eventually started a business with her best friend Cece - but at what cost. Henry had no set ambition, except to always have Ivy as a part of his life, he had no desire to leave town - so he remained behind and married another. But circumstances change, the death of his wife brings Ivy back to town, to pay her respects. This sets in motion a love story that will be long remembered. But will the secrets that they are both hiding tear them apart?

Brilliant storyline, well developed, with a depth of understanding that will keep you hooked. The secondary characters, namely Ivy's family, will have you laughing out loud, their antics and conversations are just something that only family can get away with.

A highly recommended read. Now I'm to discover more stories by this wonderful author.

“We all play a part in life’s messes. It’s what you do with them that counts.” (Drew)
Well this was a hot, hot, hot, sizzling read. I have not read anything of Martha Sweeney until now and I am very happy that I chose to read this one as my first, because I am now hooked! With that said we have or two main characters of the book, Ivy and Henry, who are a blast to read. The tension between these two have you on the edge of your seat from page one to the very last word of the book.
Both are from the small town of Blackburn Georgia. “To outsiders, Blackburn is a beautiful place to visit and get away from their daily lives. To locals it’s as if you’re stuck in time. No one believes in divorce, most people are intensely religious, and the town loves gossip about anyone who lives in it and those who visit.” For Ivy this plays a large role in her decision after high school about what she was going to do with the rest of her life. She chose to go to college in another place and eventually her goal was to leave the state for good and become a city girl. She wanted more for herself than the small country town life. Henry didn’t want to leave. His family was rooted in Blackburn and for him that was all he needed to call home.
“I will always love you, Henry… But, I want more. I need more than just this little town. Hell, more than just this state.” -Ivy
“I knew I was never good enough for you.” – Henry
Three years and several life changing secrets later, fate brings the two of them back together. Will they be able to reconnect and mend their broken hearts long enough to share their secrets? Will they be able to survive what lies ahead of them or are they just not destined to be together at all?
Definitely a page turner to find out. This book does not disappoint and I cannot wait to go and one click some more books from this author.

Book Review: Hot Georgia Rein
Author: Martha Sweeney
FIVE STARS
This contemporary romance is full of twists and suprises and hidden secrets. I would not recommend this book for anyone under age 18 and definately only for mature audiences as they sex scenes in this book are hot. There is also a lot of adult language.
Small town Georgia is where Ivy and Henry called home as kids. But once Ivy left for New York for college and to make a name for herself, Henry tried to move on. Things got hazy for them both for a few years and now that things have changed for Henry is it possible that the two of them might finally get their chance at a future together?
When Ivy comes home to Georgia to pay her respects, she also intends to tell Henry her deepest secrect, but she has to rush back to New York without a chance to tell him. Will he ever forgive her for keeping this secret from him?
Henry's loss is hard on everyone around him but is he taking it hard or seeing it as a second change to find his one true love and try to make the last few years go away so that they can finally take their chance with each other. But the longer they are together they can't keep their hands off one another and they don't take much time to talk.
Will Ivy's return to New York destroy the hopes Henry had for them? When the secrets are revealed and they find out the truth will Ivy and Henry be able to forgive each other in time to make things work?

Wonderful story line. GREAT characters and even the supporting characters are awesome. Ivy's parents are hilarious as well as her grandparents. The banter between all members of Ivy's family is just gut busting funny. The best part is when Ivy's father spoils Grady's suprise by pointing out that everyone in the family all ready knew his secret.
GREAT BOOK. I can't wait to read more from Martha Sweeny

Martha has once again not disappointed us with her ability to write something that captures you so completely. From the first page, I was so engrossed that I have not been able to put this book down. Not that you would expect anything less, with Martha's ability to connect you with her characters on a whole nother level.
Ivy is fun loving, sassy and confident but there is so much more to her, her love of wanted more to her life and realising that there is more to life than just being a Southern Belle but wanting to make it on her own, makes me love and respect her, even if she is making some hard choices and breaking not only her own heart but ours while she was at it.
Henry is just daaaaaaaaamn sexy, his personality being playful yet that alpha vibe that he has going, is enough to melt our heart and our knickers. He has made some bad choices but this is his second chance to make things right and prove that he is no longer the same man who Ivy left all those years ago, but is willing to finally fight for what he wants.
This is their second chance, hopefully, and now it is up to them to try and make it work and not mess it up again! This book is cute, sassy, alpha, super sexiness with a side of giggles to keep you truly entertained. I hate giving away too much and I'm hoping I haven't spoiled this for you but my advice is keep some chocolate and or ice cream on hand, you are going to need it!
