My name is Morgan and I am a full-time nurse during the week and on the weekend I enjoy going to the club with my colleagues. One night at the club I decided to leave early by myself. While I walked by an ally I'm attacked and scream for help. A stranger saves me that I later find out is billionaire Terrance Canter. He's breathtaking and I owed him even though I doubted I would ever see him again.
But then I am invited to his VIP room at the club one night...
I only planned to say thank you again. However one thing leads to another and I ended up naked in his arms. I hadn't regretted it though. He was better than anyone I had ever slept with. So what was the problem? I had been drunk and didn't even think about using protection.
So now here I am, two months later and pregnant. He doesn't know.
Baby By The Billionaire is an 80,000 word standalone alpha billionaire secret baby romance with a HEA and no cheating.
Morgan was on her way to a night out with her friends at a nightclub yet she sees a crime happening and ends up also becoming a statistic. She goes over to help the victim and he, Terrance asked for her to just take him home instead of to a hospital. He happens to be quite rich. To repay her, he invites to his VIP room at the club. From there it gets quite hot and steamy in some spots , in other a bit disjointed in the writing. I liked the character of Morgan. She is sassy and independent. The male lead- Terrance –he came off as too into his feelings. EMO is the word Im looking for. Him and his bodyguard. They were definitely talking out there feelings a lot. Which made me wish they weren’t so “emo” like. I will say as the story progressed it got better and the ending was sweet.
My Rating: 3.9 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
The romance was OK but I found Terrence the billionaire playboy was very self centered and Morgan the nurse was immature and weak spirited. Surely a playboy and nurse would think to use birth control. The story was long with moments of violence. Terrence troubles were not fully explained and left me with many unanswered questions.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy provide by the author.
Terrance is a billionaire and a playboy. Recently he lost his father to a heart attack and his only brother was murdered. Terrance is afraid to let anyone get close except his friend and bodyguard Braxton. Terrance's favorite place to go is a club on the bad side of town that his brother introduced him to. One night while there, he is lured outside by a lie about his car being towed. Five mean guys are waiting for him and a few comments makes him think they are responsible for his brother's death. The guys jump him and are beating him up until a strange woman catches then and threatens to call the police. The men run and the woman a nurse named Morgan takes him back home and fixes him up. Morgan is a nurse who is in a rut. Her job exhausts her so she doesn't want to go to the club her friends drag her to. Her mother is always calling to pressure her about getting married and having a baby. Her biggest excitement was saving and fixing up Terrance. Terrance is gorgeous and nice and although she turns him down the first time he invites her in his bed she regrets it. She decides to go back to the club to hopefully met Terrance for a second chance. Terrance is really drawn to Morgan. She fills his mind so much, he is uninterested in other woman. After a hot encounter in the club he still wants more. He is torn because he wants to see where this relationship is going but the men who hurt him are still around and being threatening. So Morgan and Terrance are on again, off again until Morgan finds out their encounter in the club left her with a baby. Now she has to tell Terrance. This is a good book with a sweet romance and some action. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
A very well written story about an unexpected pregnancy. There is hot steamy chemistry between the two main characters Morgan and Terrance when the meet one evening because she helps him and they go to a Club. Here they have hot unprotected s*x. Two month later Morgan finds out she is pregnant. I like independent and strong heroins which Morgan is. In this story Terrance should have been more manly. He was almost more woman than Morgan. He is very much into his feelings in the way the characters is described. He should have been a bit more alpha. This is mostly in the beginning of the story and luckily it gets better. But that is just my opinion. The story has lots of emotions (and talking about them, sometimes too much), chemistry, passion and a bit drama. But it is predictable but readable. Both main characters struggle with their family and past. It has a few twists in it. I will recommend it.

This is book three in the New York City Millionaires Series. An interesting book and not what I expected. The two main characters are Morgan, a nurse and Terrance, a billionaire. Morgan reluctantly agrees to meet her friends at a club. When she is arriving she hears a disruption and comes upon Terrace being attacked in the alley. She frightens off his attackers and then helps him. He gets her to take him back to his house and not the hospital. Weeks later when he sees her he invites her to his VIP room at the club and things get steamy. Weeks later she finds out she is pregnant. Lots of drama, suspense and turmoil. No spoiler here – but she's a strong personality and he's definitely not an alpha – but there's an HEA. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is a little different than your average billionaire stories. And while is says "a standalone alpha billionaire secret baby romance" there is no alpha about it. I'm not complaining just letting you know. Morgan is an RN who is supposed to meet up with some friends at a club. While on her way she hears someone being attacked and stops it. Terrance is a billionaire playboy who is lured outside toner jumped by 5 men. When he is saved he refuses to go to the hospand had Morgan take him home where she cleans him and checks out his wounds. This is the start of their ... time together. But they seem to battle themselves on what they want more than anything else. It's not a fast paced book. In dual POV. I received this as an ARC for my honest review.
So this one was hard for me to rate. I liked the writing style of the author and would give that a 4 star but I really couldn't get into the character of Terrance. I wanted to slap him and tell him to grow up and grow a pair. He was not a strong alpha, at least in my eye in any way. He came off whiny and unsure. Morgan seemed to be a good female lead but she too did things so outside of her norm that it made her cringe, so it made me as a reader cringe. There were a ton of sexy hot scenes but each ended initially in someone leaving immediately afterward or having second thoughts. There weren't many twist and turns. I will read this author again as I liked her writing style, just not her characters. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
Weak characters but a mildly satisfying ending. I couldn't like either Morgan or Terrance at the beginning. All this sex with no mention of protection? These two aren't teenagers and Morgan knew he was a playboy at the start. Wasn't she worried about that? And Terrance, how irresponsible. I also had trouble at times knowing who was speaking in the dialogue. I warmed to them both a little as the story went on and there was a good outcome in the end. But considering this was all about an unexpected pregnancy, the story skipped right past the later months, the birth and the first two years after the child was born. Not only that, this two year old certainly spoke like a three year old. Too unrealistic for me
Great read by Alexa Davis. At first it seems like a typical playboy billionaire romance, but stick it out! Alexa Davis adds depth and mystery to the hero of this book that really helps carry it along. And the heroine of the story is a strong, shy type that really gets to learn how strong she truly is. Really great read from start to finish. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Terrence = 5/5 Heroine, Morgan = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 3/5 Mystery = 3/5 Action = 2/5 Darkness = 2/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
Morgan has an overbearing mother, she is trying to live her life the way she wants instead of the one her mother feels she should. Terrance is a man who usually goes nowhere without security but the day he does, he's jumped due to an issue regarding his father when he goes to a club. When Morgan goes to this same place, she notices that someone needs help and steps in. This is where these two meet and their story begins. You are going to feel the chemistry coming out of the book. It's that intense. Can you find a forever kind of love when you have a rocky romance? Is there someone for everyone? I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
This is an ARC, meaning I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a romantic story of how the two main characters, Morgan (RN) and Terrance ($$$) meet, have sex, get to know each other, then get serious. Terrance's character did not initially sit well with me. I'm used to the billionaire to be more like a bull in a China shop. Terrance was not. That was the role for his BFF/bodyguard. But as the backstory is revealed I got a better understanding and I saw the connection between the lovers. This is a good summer read for those lazy days. Enjoy!
Very good billionaire romance. Morgan is a hard working nurse who ends up at a club with her friends. She decides to leave and comes upon a man being assaulted. She helps him and they seem to have a strange electricity together. Terrance apparently inherited a lot more than his father's company. I didn't feel that Terrance was a strong alpha he had a lot of hang-ups. There is suspense and intrigue in the story and personally I felt Morgan seemed to be the stronger character. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review.
Where do I start. If you look up *pussy* cat in the dictionary, Terrance would be there. What a wimp!!! If your looking for a alpha, don't look here. He is for sure a submissive. If Braxton would of told him to let her go he would have. I hope they are not together and a mugging or worse happens because he would run and leave her to fend for herself. I think he should have been with Braxton lol. He is in denial. I would have given this book 4 stars if it wasn't her Terrance. And what kind of name is that anyway lol. Sorry to anyone who has a Terrance lol.
BABY BY THE BILLIONAIRE - Is there a room full of cubicles where want-to-be writers sit all day and pump out books? If so, this was one of those. It was juvenile, the men were pathetic and 26 year old Morgan was emotionally stumped at about age 13. I also HATE stories where the woman doesn't communicate important facts, like I'm Pregnant, because she is spineless and extremely immature. DNF or read the other stories in this book. Will not be purchasing any additional books by this author.
I enjoyed the story but he is not the usual alpha you expect from this genre. He is very into feelings and the dialogue is a big change from most of the other books I have read. Morgan and Terrance have good chemistry and their one night together takes an interesting turn when she finds herself pregnant. It was a good story and I really liked Morgan. She is strong and in control.
I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. I made the unfortunate mistake at expecting too much from this book. I really wanted to like it more than I did. Terrance just seemed like the only thing he had going for him was his looks and money. I mean did the guy work? Morgan was too good for him in my opinion. Braxton seemed like more of a catch. In any case, the ending saved this book for me. However it was a very hard press to get there. 2.75 rating.
Totally awesome read! Storyline was excellent; characters were totally fleshed out and earned both our respect and love; plot twists will keep you on your toes and HEA? Ohmigod...awesome. Don't waste a minute--grab this book right now! ❤️ (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and loved it!!) ❤️
The plot was a bit scattered. The hero wasn't well developed. I did like the heroine. I think this would have been a lot better if someone had mentioned some of the missing bits. The hero was a bit on the immature side that I felt as if he was 17 not 33. This had the potential to be so much better.
Even though I wasn't much for Terrance, the storyline was good, I'd not read anything by Alexa before and this won't stop me from trying another story from her again.
I received an ARC and I voluntarily leave my own opinion
A charming story that will tug at your heartstrings. The billionaire seems to have it all until the humble nurse crashes into his life. Take the time to read this romance you won't regret it.
ARC review For honest review. Terence is a billionaire .Morgan is in the medical field .she went to lights out with coworkers before she could get in she heard something wrong and came across Tarrance hurt. this was an awesome story that lots of mystery love etc.
A series of poorly written, poorly edited romances. None rose to the level of 'OK' to me. I finally gave up, and deleted it from my kindle. Your opinion, of course, may vary.
I got this book because it was free and I enjoy surprise baby stories. Sadly, this was sub-par at best. The writing was pretty awful and the characters were meh. The guy annoyed more often than not. Also, the title on iBooks (where I got it) is My Billionaire's Baby.
3.5 Stars Hot & Steamy in place and a bit disjointed in others, and a strong male character is a preference and Terrance is not. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
