Good Info

This book has good info about gardening, pollinators, companion planting, and basic tools needed when starting a garden.

I'm new to gardening, this will be my third year and I did start out small, mainly container, and when my family took an interest, they started giving me stuff, now I have several projects to complete.

This book is definitely worth the time it took to read, and if you are new to gardening or even not so new, you should take some time to read through it.

Reading is knowledge, so, sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Solid beginner book with nice tips

I choose this rating because the book is short but full of good information on how to get started, things like plant diseases, information on plant companions, tools you will need, insects that are helpful and harmful and a number of other things. I think it's a great book for someone new or even someone with a little bit of experience who want to expand their pool of knowledge.

A lot of useful information

Very good book for beginner. Covers most part of gardening. Some very useful information like fishing line fence to prevent deers. I wish I had read this book a few weeks earlier. That would save me a lot. However I minus one star because there is an incorrect information on fertilizer for tomato. The book says tomato needs nitrogen heavily, that’s incorrect, and would mislead the beginner. Other than that, most of the book is very nice.

First time gardener, now a Lisa Bond fan!

Good book for beginners. Language isn't dumbed down, enjoyable sense of humor and enough info without overwhelming the reader. Now have to wait for March (it's January now)

Good book for beginners

This was a really good gardening intro. However, the typos and some of the wording made it difficult to read. While it provides great info, it could have been more professionally written

Very basic

This book provides a very novice level basic guide to gardening. Easy to read, but no illustrations provided. I recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office for more specific step by step beginner gardening information.

Has some good information, but it is RIDDLED with grammatical errors. I was so annoyed with misspellings and incomplete sentences that I failed to focus on the information given.

This book is an introduction to gardening for people who are totally new to the idea. It gives great basic facts to the novice.
