DNF #79 (Yes, I am numbering them for you now) @ 15%

His reasons for faking his death are so lame I can't even.
The fact that he didn't take her with him or give her the option to is so lame.

And the fact that his initial reaction upon seeing the wife he loves so much after a four year separation is "Holy, hard on. Gosh her ass is beautiful," is so lame.

And all signs point to more lameness ahead.

Not my jam, moving on.

Nope, I give up. I'm tapping out at 80%, I just can't put myself through any more of this ridiculous drama-lama soap opera with two .... yes TWO drama queens. And he's the biggest drama queen of all.

He was a lawyer ... a lawyer, people .... before he ran away with such a ridiculous excuse, so ridiculous I can't even get my head around it. So, being said lawyer, one would think he was an educated man with a modicum of common sense between his ears, yes? Not this juvenile idiot who thought with his little head!

And I'm not even going to get started on Adriana -aka "The Doormat". Geez, she worked hard for that title! That must be where she lost all her self respect, because her husband runs away and she believes him dead for 4 years ... FOUR YEARS .... yet within a few days she's spread her legs for him. Yeah ... I can't even.

It was all so repetitive too, the same old drama over and over which didn't add to the story at all, with so much repetitious inner monologue it bored the pants off me. Jumping from past to present was confusing as well, it was all over the place.

I'm so done.

I have mixed feelings about this book.
Beautiful and emotional writing. This author is one of the best to write tragedy and raw feelings; I’m a big fan of her writing style.
But I also rate and review the story, the moral and the message of the book.

SAFE: BOTH MC’s WERE CELIBATE DURING SEPARATION!

I loved the heroine. This woman remained strong despite all tragedy and sorrow thrown her way.
How much loss can a person survive? How much grief can a person bear? How much pain is too much?
My heart broke for this woman. She lost her parents, she lost her husband, she lost her sister, she lost her grandmother.
She was left alone, she was taken away all the people she loved.
I honestly admired this woman. How didn’t she break? How did she find the strength to live?
Her character was the main reason I clicked 4 stars. I have highly respect for such people.

I wasn’t a fan of the hero. He was totally devoted to his wife, he was faithful and loyal; and I guess he will win many female readers over. But I tend to be on the heroine’s side, I don’t like when a woman gets hurt, and I don’t forgive easily.
I don’t want to spoil much. I just say, that I understood why he left his wife and faked his death, but I didn’t understand why didn’t he come to her before, why did he wait so long? I got why he didn’t do it after her sister died – the h still had a grandmother and couldn’t just leave her behind to live “undercover”, BUT why didn’t he find his wife when her beloved grandmother died? Why didn’t he help her, comfort her? Coward! He should have come to her after the death of her grandmother and not waited for 6 months till his wife accidentally moved in the house “next door”.

I felt his remorse and his pain, I heard his explanation and GROVEL, I believed in his love; but I couldn’t quite forgive him all the pain he caused to his wife, all the pain he didn’t ease by not being at her side.

It’s my personal opinion and I’m sure there are many readers who would see him as fully redeemable.

I needed an epilogue further in the future!!!

I need to know if the hero was celibate while away from his wife before I will consider giving this one a go! Does anyone know that answer to that question? :D

Audiobook review. I can’t even imagine how it would feel to discover that my husband, whom I thought was dead, returns alive and well. Adriana finds herself in exactly that predicament and Blake has to deal with the fallout of his decision.

The plot had strong potential with a theme that captured my attention. However, I don’t feel the execution took full advantage of the opportunity. The characters and more specifically the motivation behind their secrets didn’t really convince me of any real development. That said, the writing itself was solid with good pacing and imagery. The intimate scenes were also very steamy.

The narrators, Logan McAllister and Lacy Laurel did a good job with their portrayal of the characters. Their voices were clear and tone strong. I found Logan to be slightly slower paced than Lacy but once I sped up the rate, he was where I needed him and Lacy was fast but still understandable.

2 stars!

❝When life slaps you in the face, you punch the bitch back harder, kick it in the balls, then focus on the hand you punched it with. That hand will guide you anywhere.❞

Review by Lisa Kane

Adriana is drowning in grief. She lost her parents when she was young, she lost her husband after two years of being married, she lost her older sister Alexis, to drugs and now she’s lost her grandmother. There is no one else to lose. She struggles and finds the only support she has in her best friend Heidi and her husband Daniel. Her grandmother left her a house away from New York where she lives. It’s a new beginning. Of all the losses, losing Blake, her husband, cuts the deepest.

“And every day, I ask why I can’t let him go. He took so much of me with him when he left, and I need all of me back.”

Blake Jensen just so happens to live in this same town (that coincidence was a little too much for me) and he knows Adriana is nearby.

Her grandmother didn’t know you were here, didn’t know you were alive when she started searching for a slice of heaven away from all the hell her granddaughter was living in.

Four years ago, he was forced to leave, to let his wife think he was dead. His only contact with her is through their mutual friend Hunter. He has missed her every day of these last years and he wants a chance. Just a chance to explain and to get back his wife.

In fact, four years ago, Blake Jensen was declared legally dead and Blake Mitchell took his place.

I have conflicting feelings about this story. It is bogged down in sadness, I needed more light. Her sister Alexis caused so many problems for Adriana over the years and her loyalty to her after the horrible things she had done was hard to accept. Although Blake had valid reasons for what he did, he had a lot of opportunities to right this wrong. But he let those slip through his fingers.

My heart ached for her, and yet I didn’t do a damn thing to reach out. It would have destroyed her even more to see me. A ghost who probably haunts her.

I struggled to feel a connection to this couple. Told in both POV’s I ached for both of them, each trapped by their decisions and actions. Adriana was a victim of the decisions of others.

"The man I married is a Goddamn fraud. The man I married put my heart through a shredder, ripped it to pieces and destroyed me.”
She has never been more wrong and right at the same time in her life.

There are some steamy moments that soften some of the darkness of the story. Both have not lost their attraction for each other, but can Adriana forgive Blake? Can there possible be any way she can move on from the hurt and betrayal she feel?

I have to go on. I have to look at our future. Create new memories and put our past behind us.

“All these years, I could have had anything I wanted. I could have found a new woman. Decided to have a family. The thing is, finding someone else is impossible for me because my heart belongs to her”

I don't know about other readers but I f*cking loathe hero's who give themselves a pat on the back for not starting over or for not cheating. Like honestly what are you expecting, a congratulations for your efforts?

I read Alex's review - highly recommended- and like her, I am more lenient and supportive of heroines.

This man let his wife think he was dead. His wife who lost her parents in a drunk-driver crash 9 years ago. His wife who struggled with the guilt and responsibility she held in their death. His wife who had to look after her junkie alcoholic sister. His wife who had to go through the motions of grief hearing that he died (when he faked it). His wife who had a miscarriage and shortly after lost her only older sister to overdose. His wife who lost her grandmother a year later and her entire family, is depressed and hasn't moved on.

Yes, he was under witness protection, but after her grandmother died - there were ample opportunities for him to save his wife from her crippling reality. To bring her into the light and for both of them to live a life of anonymity, but instead he let's her go excusing his behaviour as inconsiderate. A year later rather by chance occurrence she moves into the same town. And this guy has the audacity to pat himself on the back lol! Pls, remove yourself from fictional existence. Safety couldn't safe this. DNF@50%.

Loved the cover.

This book was very good. I took away one star because I felt it dragged a little at the end but I really liked the cover. My husband did make me take it off the ceiling but I still have it under my pillow. Lol. He was not impressed. The story was good. I love stories where the H fakes his death and comes back. He has to be celibate of course and left because he was saving his family. This one was good. The heroines sister is a piece of work. Very evil. She was pretty pissed off at him for awhile but it was realistic. I loved the H. He was so in love with her. But I had to force myself to read the last five percent of the book. It was sex and sex and more sex and I was too busy going back and looking at the cover so maybe that is why it dragged. Did I mention I like the guy on the cover???

Raing not decided...Rtc

2.5 stars

Usually I give dark, angsty books a wide berth and I'm fine with it.
But this blurb is so promising - a second chance romance, back from the dead trope, the mystery of why...I plunged into this without a second thought.
Here's what happened :

Trigger warnings - Depression, drug addiction.

God, I hated it when she was sad. It was constant.
Adriana has always lost the people she cares for and this has taken a tremendous toll on her.

But she is shattered when she loses her husband and is close to being broken.
This is why I hate to hope. Hope makes you want to smile. It’s an emotion that says something spectacular is waiting down the road for you. It could be around the corner, it could be years away, but it’s there. A promise as long as you keep on hoping. Lies. Hope is a damn lie.

She was stealing you from yourself.
This is my biggest problem with this book. Alexis, Adriana's sister. She was extremely vindictive and cruel.

I thought I'd be firmly on Adriana's side but I was proved wrong. She was obsessed and in denial when it came to her sister. At one point, even their grandmother steps back saying she can't go through this ordeal again.
But Adriana is determined to save Alexis and martyr herself in the process.

I felt bad about Blake, the man is a saint. Dealing with Alexis without any demands for space or distance was a huge feat. But protecting Adriana and not forcing her to choose created a rift between them.

After the book ends, you can't help but think their happily ever after is on shaky ground. Would they still be together if Alexis was part of the picture? Would Adriana take a rational decision or lose Blake? Would Adriana learn the truth and walk away? Or would she hang on and punish herself for life?

This bothered me a lot - I wasn't sold on their HEA and lost all patience with Adriana. Plus their connection was mostly physical, I didn't know what else kept them together.

But the writing was gorgeous, it pulls every tiny bit of emotion out of you and I'm surprised I was able to finish. I liked Blake and the premise was interesting.
Will try another book by this author just for the writing.

Not sure how I feel about this one. It was a very sad and depressing story with page long paragraphs about grief and loss... and then more page long paragraphs about loss and grief. It never stops. How can it when the heroine is surrounded by unimaginable loss.

However, I found myself skimming because it was a lot of rehashing of feelings in different way which in the end was a tad repetitive.

And at times I would get the past confused with present because of the constant mind-bending inner dialogue both main character had as they relived moments from their histories.

This wasn't a fun romp into a HEA. It was a heavy and depressing read. I definitely need something fun to read next. I don't want to go through that again!

An emotional, tangled web….

Where lies and desperate measures caused unimaginable pain to both Amanda and Blake. The web they were caught in was hopelessly tangled where the only weapon to fight it was the… truth.

“I will never stop loving you.”

Powerful words yet these lovers were going to have to work, and work hard, to dig themselves out of the darkness they both lived in. Blake was back from the dead and the shock was going to knock Amanda into a place she fought hard to recover from.

This was a fast-paced, lose yourself in the story until it is done read, where – from start to finish –characters ran a gauntlet of emotions with me (happily) along for the ride. There was anger on both sides which surprised me until the story revealed itself, one painful truth at a time. Amanda was not a victim – far from it. With her best friends at her side, she was going to get knocked down but found strength each time to fight back. And Blake… He was a tortured soul that battled guilt and despair to fight for someone he felt he didn’t deserve. Yet love made him fight with everything in him… Together, they were going to butt heads, hearts and everything else showing themselves at their most vulnerable and their strongest….

This author writes stories designed to play with my heart and Amanda and Blake’s heartbreaking journey did just that. In the best of ways and having me crave more…

WOW Kathy Coopmans has out done herself really enjoyed Come back to me I couldn't imagine the heartache that Blake and Adriana have gone through . Adriana has suffered so much loss and last one she ends up moving to a place she didn't know her heart was going to be . Blake with the things he did for the heroine was truly selfless with the decision to not only decimate his heart but his wife's too and once he finds out she's close he can't fight the pool to be with her even though he does try . When they reunite it was truly beautiful and passionate , once they let everything on the table and find out certain things that happen the night everything changed . Loved the heroines friends they were their for her when she needed someone to lean on despised her sister when she'd mentioned in flashbacks . Specking of flashbacks I really liked getting little snippets of their past the way they met just made me swoon and gooey all over . Can't wait to see whats to come for this author

The plot while it seemed intriguing in the synopsis fell inadvertently off a cliff with a lot of repeated story feed and then you’d be thrusted into an abundance of happenings within what seemed to be 10 minutes of listening. Now I know the repetitiveness came from the fact that Blake and Adriana had a lot of mental conversation but it was also due to the fact that the story was told not in chronological order, so when you went back to a memory it seemed to play out until reaching the current time frame.

I didn’t particularly find myself liking either of our main characters. Blake was selfish in his actions and kind of bland. Nothing really stood out about his character that was like WOW what a man. And ad the male counterpart in a romance novel he should be the man I’d be swooning over.

Adriana just seemed to be a walking doormat. I mean literally everyone took their turn at twisting that knife further into her back. I’m surprised the woman can trust anyone at all. If they did it with good intention or bad intentions they still did it. She just seemed to deal with it, a little way to calmly. She had no fight and no backbone.

This is an overly filled drama induce second chance romance novel. I don’t think it was for me in the least bit.

Now I listened to this on audible and OH EM GEE…the audio was horrific. Not once, or twice but three times I was asked by my family why I was listening to a robot reading the book. And that was precisely how it sounded. It was agonizing for me listen to. I almost quite every time I turned it on. While Laurel reading was far better than McAllister. I don’t think I could do another audiobook with the pair reading as a duel.

Kathy Coopmans instantly pulled me into this emotionally loaded story. This is my first book by this author and I am hooked. I loved the story and the characters; the chemistry between these two is so steamy and sweet and it’s twisted, heartbreaking story made it hard to put down. Fingers crossed and teary-eyed…I read on, hushing those around me and glad I did.

Adriana has lost so many in her life; I just kept wondering how much more one person could take. I was so thankful for her wonderful friends Heidi and Daniel; Heidi never let her give up. I love how they secretly guided her towards what she needed, even when she stubbornly denied it. Then when they were taking the pictures at the studio…..one of my favorite parts!

Blake is sweet and sexy….I loved him and loved what he did. I appreciated it and was touched by his sacrifice, even though it hurt. It was so sad to read especially knowing what I knew about Adriana and her thoughts. His love for her was so strong there was no other outcome visible to him. Blake’s determination to get her back makes me smile and warms my heart.

I am worried though….I can’t find any information about a second book, they are a sweet couple, I’d love read more about them. I’ll be watching, hoping with fingers crossed again that you continue their story.

5+ Star Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

I finished this book several days ago, but I needed time to process the amazing story that consumed me. I love Kathy Coopmans and she is one of my favorite authors. This book, this book far exceeds anything I could have imagined. I finished Come Back To Me in about three hours. This book sucked me in from the beginning and didn't let go. I messaged Kathy right after finishing, because I had to tell her how much I loved her for writing this amazing story. That admiration still stands today.

So why did it take me 10 days to write this review, well, I needed to do this story justice. I needed to gather my thought and make sure I was able to convey how much this story truly touched me. So here we go. What do you do when you've lost everything? And while you try like hell to hold on to yourself, you lose that along the way. Adriana lost her parents, sister, grandmother and her husband. Year later she is still reeling from the loss of a man she thought would love her forever. Blake was supposed to be Adriana's forever, until one day, he was gone. Devastated and lost, Adriana does what she has to to get through the day. In the end, every is gone. Knowing Adriana is going to need to start a new life, her grandmother sets her up with a home in a new city.

Blake loves his wife, even now, after four years he still is committed to her. Knowing he needs to right the wrongs from his past, he seeks Adriana out. He never bargained for how the truth may hurt.

I'm not saying anymore. You need to read this story. It been a long time since a book had touched me in a way that left me feeling such a huge range of emotions. This book did that for me. Please check out this truly amazing book. Tell me what you think!

Come Back to Me by Kathy Coopmans is a second chance at love story. It was sad and emotional and the heroine broke my heart. So much loss for one person to bear.

Adriana Jensen has lost everyone that ever meant anything to her. Her life is falling apart all around her and she does not know how to move forward. Of all the people she has lost, her husband’s death was the one that nearly destroyed her.

Blake was forced to walk away from his wife, even if it was the last thing he wanted. But sometimes things are out of our control. Now that he has a second chance, how far will he go to win her back and show her what she really means to him?

Ready to start fresh, thanks to her grandmother, Adriana moves to a new home, only to find what she thought she lost forever living so close. This story broke my heart. Adriana’s grief and loss are felt in every word. Her shock in finding out the truth was palpable. How does one forgive and move forward after such a huge betrayal and revelation?

This second chance at love story was so emotional, I did not know how much more my heart would take. I was immersed in this story first words to the last. Blake and Adriana shared such a strong and powerful love. But when truths begin to emerge and Blake takes on the fight of his life, will love be enough?

Come Back to me was my first read by Kathy Coopmas, but will definitely not be my last. So many feels. A story full of heartbreak, loss, and grief, but also hope and redemption.

OMFG! This book deserves so much more then 5 stars!!

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! Come Back to Me FAR exceeded what I was expecting! I was sucked in from the very start. And HOLY HELL the emotions I experienced!! This was my very first Kathy Coopmans book, and she has truly shown me what I've been missing!!!

Adriana has suffered, gone through so much loss in her life. The death of her parents at 18. The death of her beloved husband, Blake 2 years after their marriage. The death of her unborn baby. The death of her older sister, Alexis to drugs. Then to top it off she looses her last remaining family member, her grandmother. Adriana has so much strength. I can't imagine all the loses she endures and is able to keep going.

When she discovers her husband is alive after 4 years, she's tested again. Can their love overcome the heartache, and lies?

Blake, everything he did was to protect Adriana, including faking his death. I absolutely ADORED Blake, I wasn't a fan of some of his choices, but I understand why he did it.

When Blake and Adriana reunite, it was absolutely beautiful. You could feel the intense love these two still had for each other. I loved the flashbacks in their lives. The dual POV's told both sides of a love still burning. I ADORED this book! I can't express how much this book affected me. I can honestly say it's a top read of 2017 for me!!

4 Star review Come Back To Me by Kathy Coopmans

Audio Review:

I’m not sure what to say about this book. How much pain, suffering, loss and death can someone take?

Adriana Jensen is a woman who has lost so much and is barely living life. Shattered by so much loss she doesn’t know how much more she can take.

Come Back To Me is a second chance at love story which at times really got to me. The pain and suffering experienced by Adriana was palpable as narrator Lacy Laurel read this story and my heart just about broke for her.

Blake on the other hand I could not connect with. I understood his reasons for leaving but after Adriana’s life spiralled down, he looked on from afar and did nothing, nothing. For someone who loves her so much, to do nothing doesn’t scream love to me and then suddenly he returns 4 years later.

There was certainly passion between Blake and Adriana but it wasn’t enough for me to like him. Logan McAllister did a great job as did Lacy Laurel.

I was frustrated by the repetitiveness throughout the story and it wore me down. However having said that it was an interesting story and I am glad I listened to it.

Okay, so I hate doing bad reviews. I try to find the positive in a book because I know bad reviews hurt.

So, let me focus on the positives:

-the narrators did a great job. I love Logan McAllister and Lacy Laurel, which is why I grabbed this audio in the first place.
-.............

Yeah, I'm out of positives. I wanted to like this, I really did. I just didn't. The characters annoyed me. I got tired of hearing the same thing out of their mouths. Oh, he left me, I can't forgive him. I left her to protect her, I will get her back. I just want to fuck her. I just want to see her naked. I can't be with him because he lied. My sister is the most important person ever no matter how often she screws me over. Blah, blah, blah.

I cant' do it when the book constantly repeats the same mantras. Yeah, they may have used different wording, but it was a book full of the same things.

You may like this story. Don't let my review keep you from reading it. Honestly, maybe it just wasn't my day for romance. I did just come off a fantasy high. Maybe this wasn't the right book to follow up that epic-ness. I will never know. I do know I won't be picking up any more Kathy Coopmans books though.
But if this is your jam, if a husband faking his death to protect his wife is what you want to read about, then this book is for you.
If reading about a woman who is devoted to her druggie, lying sister is for you, then this book is one you should read.
If coming face to face with your dead husband and then denying you still love him--despite just going on about how much you love him--is your thing, then Come Back to Me is the second chance for you.

There must be something wrong with me because I didn't find this book sad or depressing at all. More like I was thoroughly annoyed.

I'm not a fan of this author's writing style. The characters' inner monologue? Super long and all over the place. It distracted me from the whole story. Oftentimes, what the characters are saying = repetitive.

Also both MCs aren't the least bit likeable. The Hero? Stupid and lame. The heroine? A freaking doormat.

I was beyond happy to read a new book from this author because she had become one of my to go author's of all times. Every single book that I've read just came to reinforce my love for her words. Every story was like a breath of fresh air and I was eager to breath it all.
Kathy Coopmans has a simple yet intricate writing that can put you nervous in a second and happy at the same time.
I totally advise you to start reading her books and you will understand why I love her so much.
Come Back To Me is her newest release and tells the stories of Adriana and Blake.
Adriana had a ruff couple of years. 9 years ago she had lost her patents and was left with her big sister and grandma. She opted to focus on school and photography, her passion, as well as helping her grandma. But her sister drown herself in alcohol, guys and drugs and she's having a bad time. Adriana's focus was to help her sister getting better until the day she died. She had lost everything, her parents, her sister, her husband and now her grandma and she's feeling guilty, lonely and sad.
Now she make the decision to move away to a new city and hopefully a new beginning.
Blake took the harder decision 4 years ago when he fake his dead to protect the woman he loves. He needed to get away if he wanted to keep her and the one he loves safe.
Now she's back into his life, to the city he moved in and what will he do?
Can she forgive and forget? Can he get her back?
I was a mess when I finished this book, but a mess in a good way of course.
I knew that this was going to be an intense and overwhelming story but I wasn't prepared for what hit me.
The plot is exquisite, intense and raw and the interaction between the characters is beautiful, crazy sometimes but evolved into a beautiful blanket of love.
There were parts of the book that I thought I couldn't handle any more things but I couldn't stop reading.
The struggle this two characters endured made me see that in life nothing is granted and when we have the opportunity of a second chance we need to grab it with both hands.
Not only we were presented with some snuggles but also we were gifted some pretty hot scenes... Oh boy...
Kathy Coopmans you are amazing. Your writing had captured me from the beginning and I can't get enough of your books. Thank you for this rollercoaster ride.

Okay, where do I start with this one? The first few chapters of this book are so full of angst that I wondered how the heroine survived the terrible heartache she experienced in her 20s.

This second chance romance is written in dual points of view. We have Adriana who lost her parents when she was in her late teens. Her older sister Alexis who couldn’t cope with the loss became a drug addict. Adriana is a survivor although my first impression of her was that she was a pushover when it comes to her sister. Theirs is a give and take relationship: Adriana gives and Alexis takes, it has always been that way since they were young kids. Being the carer of an older sibling who’s an addict was not easy. Her grandmother has always been there for her though, supported her and tried to make her strong with her words of wisdom: “When life slaps you in the face, you punch the b*tch back harder, kick it in the balls, then focus on the hand you punched it with. That hand will guide you anywhere.”

Blake, the other main character and the hero in this book is a lawyer and as expected in a romance novel: handsome, tall and well endowed. Come to think of it, I haven’t come across any romance books yet where the hero is only 5’6 with a chipolata and not a bratwurst, but I digress. He is dedicated to his career, ambitious and loyal. He seems to be the perfect guy but one misjudged call and Adriana’s life is in tatters. Blake is dead and she is left on her own or so she thought.

I wish there were more dialogue and banter between the characters instead of inner thoughts, especially on the first half of the book. This story is mired in sadness but I was rooting for Adriana to pull through, give her a boost of happiness and she did in the end. There are times though when I wanted to slap the reality in Adriana’s face and tell her to read the files already and get on with her life whether or not Blake is in it or not. The epilogue left me with a few “what ifs”. What if this book made me ugly cry? If only it did I would have given this book more stars but I was dry-eyed and snot-free so I gave it 3.7 stars.

5 Stars!

Kathy Coopmans is just... special. She definitely chose the right calling when she started writing. It's not an easy job but she totally kicks ass at it. I've LOVED everything she had written to date and this book is no different.

Come Back To Me was an emotional second chance standalone romance that tugged at my heartstrings and fiddled with my feels. From that gripping prologue, I was sucked into this story and the journey that these two embarked on to get their forever....back.

Adriana has experienced more pain in her short life than most have. Regardless of her insecurities and vulnerability, Adriana is a strong woman who loves with everything. She might me broken but her life is about to be shaken up. Get strength and heart will be put to the ultimate test. Can she reveal her secrets? Can she forgive the sins of the past?

Blake is a shell of the m be use to be. Going from having the world at your fingertips to losing it ask tragically was hard... and he's never recovered. But time has moved on and he's ready to claim what was his.... including her.

Two hearts. Two souls. One epic love story.

Your heart is going to bleed. It'll be ripped apart and stomped on. The tears will flow and your soul will ache. But...with every dark storm, light always shines through in the end. They will have to fight, reveal truths, and repair what they had. Will she come back to him...for good?

If you've read this author's work then you know what to expect.... heat, heart, swoons, twists, passion, diskless r, and intensity. And honestly, I wouldn't change one single moment.

I highly recommend this book.

Adriana is drowning- drowning in horrible waves of grief. She lost her parents when she was very young, then she lost her beloved husband, Blake Jensen , after two years of being married, after that she lost her older sister Alexis, to drugs and now she’s lost her dear grandmother. Now it’s a struggle to get up and out of bed with all she has gone thru, and she moves thru life as if her light has been put out.
Due to her grandmother’s death, she has been left a house away from New York where she lives. This is a chance for her to move away from where all her pain was and get a new start. Of all the losses, losing Blake, her husband, cuts the worst, the deepest.
Blake Jensen just happens to live in this same town where Adriana moves to…and he is really and truly alive. This is where the story starts and it’s a story of forced betrayal , pain, loyalty, romance, passion and acceptance. Adriana has to face some truths about her sister and her husband before she can truly move on—but will she move on with the husband she thought dead or will she cut all her losses and move on without Blake?

This was a moving and emotional love s tory which grabs you from the get go. This is told in both characters POV and there is some deep and erotic movements, moments that are truly hot and steamy. I loved how each character finally got to connect and the ending was fantastic.
