A New York Times Bestselling Author Laura Fenton last saw lawyer Mark Hunt, in a courtroom. Mark had been seeking a conviction against Laura in the accidental death of his father, her uncle's law partner. The case had been thrown out, and Laura had moved away and built a new life for herself. But five years later, Mark was out to find her uncle had died and she has inherited his half of the law firm.
I am glad I gave this book a chance...it was really good, gave me a nice break from the serious reads that I have ahead. Nothing like a good ole fashion romance, I just wished the author would have elaborated more on Laura's past and how she got to the breaking point with Mark after his father's death. I never understood how he could get past it, why he blamed her even though it was eluded to in the book that she was the cause/accidentally the cause. The past remained foggy, and barely touched upon as we skipped to six years after the fact...Mark is a sweetheart and the most likeable character in this book. By the way I cannot believe Bruce gets a sequel.
