I think this will work better during a summer storytime when toes are more easy accessible.

A STORYTIME WINNER!

This picture book is composed of adorable text by the talented Kristy Dempsey, whose other picture books include the beautiful ME WITH YOU, and child-friendly illustrations (which even toddlers are certain to relate to) by Jane Massey. Dempsey and Massey teamed up earlier this year for the delightful TEN LITTLE FINGERS, TWO SMALL HANDS, and this new story is written in exactly the same style as their earlier collaboration. The rhyming text and whimsical narrative story frame the counting-to-ten in a creative and highly engaging way. A storytime winner for all young children!

I chose this book at the library because Little Bo Peep loves babies, and because it reminded me of Baby Parade by Rebecca O'Connell (and also because we are fans of Little Bee Books). The brightly colored pictures of babies showing their toes instantly appealed to Bo Peep, and she wanted to read it over and over again at nap time. We read the book so many times, Bo Peep now knows how to say "toes!" and point to her own feet. It's not quite as good as the O'Connell book, but it would be a lot of fun for a baby story time.

I cannot wait to use this during Baby & Toddler Storytime. A great rhyme scheme with toddlers doing all that toddlers do! I also appreciate the multicultural look of the children. The simple text and illustrations are great for storytime.

A sweet baby book about your toes and feet. My 2 year old loves this book and it's illustrations. She loves her piggies so this was a perfect library choice.
