Hooray, a science themed Katie Woo! I love her interactions with Pedro when they're trying to build the volcano. She gets frustrated, and becomes an angry volcano herself! Very easy to transition from reading this book to making your own volcano experiment, if you're looking for something hands-on.

My granddaughter likes these Katie Woo books because she can read them. She is six. They are about a little girl just like her. This one has three short chapters and can be read in one sitting and has some activities at the back. In the CYF section of the library.

Katie Blows Her Top focuses on Katie and her classmates creating a volcano. I enjoyed the book for the science aspect on how to create volcanoes, how children should handle anger, and how to work together in a group. Also, enjoyed the Q&A and glossary at the end.

Great book about science. The glossary in the back is great.
I am glad that it shows how little things can add up to make someone mad.

Story is a nothing. Boredom. And it isn’t about feeling your emotions and the value of anger.
