Dark Rooms is a steamy student/teacher romance from author Sionna Fox. In this story, Wesley has recently moved into town and attending a new BDSM party. He is recently out of a relationship and trying to get his life back on track. As a twenty-four years old college freshman, he has already planned out his next 3 ½ years. The first semester, he schedules an intro to photography class for his art credit. He was not expecting to see Aimee, his sub from the new BDSM party. What will happen between Wes and Aimee? Will he drop her class and affect his planned schedule?
I enjoyed Ms. Fox’s twist on the student/teacher romance. The sex scenes were on the milder side, but still steamy. There was a lot of drama and angst, which kept my attention. I thought Wes could have been a stronger Dom as I wanted him to take more action. Although, I totally understood Aimee’s concerns and issues. A fun read and a definite add to your TBR list!

Sionna Fox’s Dark Rooms is a sweet and steamy romance.
The story hooked me from the first page, where our hero and heroine, Wes and Aimee, meet at a private, BDSM party. Instant attraction leads to negotiation leads to a sensual first encounter for our budding lovebirds. This opening scene played well and had me eager to turn e-pages.
From there, Fox adds some fun layers of conflict to impact the potential relationship. First, Aimee is older and wants commitment-free hook-ups; Wes is younger and looking for a committed partner. Second roadblock: she’s one of his college teachers. Oops! While our hero doesn’t mind the teacher-student issue, our heroine does. And what’s worse, they both have some past relationship baggage to overcome. Wes is better at this than Aimee and ready to help her stop letting her past define and ruin her future. Yay, Wes!
In addition to a believable and entertaining romance arc, Fox provides interesting settings. Aimee’s two gay BFFs (entertaining secondary characters), throw the invite-only private parties in their lovely home, chock-full of kink equipment. Nice visuals. The other backdrop, the photography classroom and its dark room, provide Wes and Aimee opportunities to up the sexual tension in their budding relationship. I enjoyed this immensely, along with Aimee cursing like the proverbial “trucker”, and the occasional Princess Bride reference.
To sum up, Dark Rooms is a fun, kinky, sexy fast read, and a “yes” for your TBR list. Enjoy!

New guy in town Wes Oliver is Dom by night but college student trying to straighten out his life by day. After attending a private BSDM party, Wes meets Aimee and sparks fly. There is an instant attraction between the two. Unfortunately, things get complicated when Wes walks into his photography class the next morning. He's sexy sub is his professor. Aimee knows that she is not to participate in prof/student relationships but something about Wes pulls her in and she finds it hard to stay away. Wes wants Amy more than anyone he's ever met but she continually pushes him away. Is there a way they can be together without jeopardizing what they do in the day time?
Dark Rooms is a hot BSDM novel that has a great plot. Photography professor and student who collide into one sexual fantasy after another. The characters are real, full of emotion, and written really well. Wes and Aimee are excellent characters, likable and with flaws. The book is steamy, fast paced, and engaging. I was pulled in from the very beginning.
The only problem I had was the last of backstory concerning Aimee's love for photography. I would have loved to see that explained. The backstory would have helped give Aimee's character a bit more realism. Plus, I love photography and like to know what takes others along that path.
I felt the BDSM content was well-written. This book focuses on consensual, safe practices. There were house rules built in that are for the safety of all who attend the private parties. The short story was great and I'm glad I had a chance to read Dark Rooms. I really love the ending between Wes and Aimee.

This is the first book I have read by Sionna Fox and it will not be the last. Dark Rooms is a student/teacher romance that is a twist on the normal College student/teacher relationship. The chemistry and relationship between Wes and Aimee is steamy and hot with drama and angst. My heart went out to both of them. This book grabbed me from the very beginning and did not let me go until the very end. I look forward to reading more from Fox. I recommend this read.

Super hot, super sexy BDSM romance. So much angst!! Wes & Aimee meet & play before discovering he is her student. Erotica at its best. The BDSM aspects were all about safe, sane & consensual. Just fabulous.

All I can say is the conversation about their scene negotiation was very hot and steamy and the scene itself, wow.
Aimee is a photography teacher, and when Wes walks into her classroom she is shocked. He is of course just as shocked to see her. Wes contemplates quitting the class but he needs it for his art credit, so he has no choice but to continue going. Can they stay with the student/teacher relationship or will they give in to their attraction?
Have one of the most satisfying sexual encounters in recent memory? Guess what, he’s your student!
This was a great story about a taboo relationship of student/teacher. They had me all over the place, would they or wouldn’t they? The sex scenes were hot. I really liked the secondary characters, Ed and Hank were my favorites. They were a good support for Aimee. And I loved the reference to “Princess Bride”, that had me LOL. I enjoyed the ending, it leaves us in a good place with these two. Sionna Fox does a good job with her writing, I look forward to reading more from this author.
