Asimov used Paul French, the pen name, for the Lucky Starr, series of juvenile novels.
Most books of Asimov in a historical way go as far back to a time with possible question or concept at its simplest stage. He often provides and mentions well nationalities, birth, and death dates for persons and etymologies and pronunciation guides for technical terms. Guide to Science, the tripartite set Understanding Physics, and Chronology of Science and Discovery exemplify these books.
Asimov, a long-time member, reluctantly served as vice president of Mensa international and described some members of that organization as "brain-proud and aggressive about their IQs." He took more pleasure as president of the humanist association. The asteroid 5020 Asimov, the magazine Asimov's Science Fiction, an elementary school in Brooklyn in New York, and two different awards honor his name.

Clearly a book worth reading, with the understanding that the stories were written in the format of a magazine, where there needs to be a fast moving action oriented plot happening at regular intervals. Whereas as a novel may allow a story to develop, this luxury is not afforded the magazine writer. As long as the reader keeps this in mind it is all things considered a book well worth the effort.

Always loved Isaac Asimov. Next to Ray Bradbury, Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett I would argue that these four authors were formative to my world view.
Great to read old stories again, his work is visionary and timeless, which is quite an achievement half a.century on.

Asimov is a marvelous story teller.
An excellent collection of stories written by a master story teller. This selection is well worth sitting down for a few hours of reading time.

Jewels in writing!

Some new Asimov, at least for me.
The first novel included read a bit like Rocky Jones mmets The Foundation.
