341 books4 followersEmily Bolam is a British children's author and illustrator. She was born in Buckinghamshire in 1969.. She studied at Amersham College and Brighton College of Art under the tutelage of well known illustrators John Vernon Lord and Chris McEwan. Her first idea for a children's book began as a college project and was published upon her graduation.
Since then, Emily has illustrated over a hundred books for children, by many different authors, including Georgie Adams, Vivian French and Francesca Simon. She has worked with publishers such as Penguin, Macmillan, Orchard Books and Orion amongst many others.
She continues to live and work in Brighton where she shares her studio with other artists and illustrators.

V roce 2025 jsem ti poprvé přichystala adventní kalendář z vánočních/zimních knížek a těším se, že se to stane naší tradicí, protože to mělo obrovský úspěch. Každé ráno nám tatínek zabalenou knížku přichystal na stoleček, vždycky už ses na ně těšila, hned ráno jsme si ji přečetly a z knížek jsi byla nadšená celé tři měsíce (teď už je zase uschovám do příštího roku). Loni jsme jich měli jen 14, ale letos už je doplníme. První knížkou v adventním kalendáři byla “Jak to žije v jesličkách” a byla jednou z tvých nejoblíbenějších. Miluješ miminka, venku ukazuješ na miminka v kočárcích, doma pořád nosíš miminka a v knížce jsi nejradši koupala miminko Ježíška.
