I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Carly is helping a friend out by being a waitress at some rich guys party. She does her job and doesn't think too much about the night, until she finds herself realizing who is throwing this party, and to make it worse for her, her parents are there. It is bad enough that she is working in the house of the very man she has spent her whole life fantasizing about, but to be working there. It is simple, Carly will have to avoid Michael and her parents....at all costs.
Michael has been the best friend of Carly's dad best friend for a very long time. He spotted Carly at the party, but has kept that much a secret. Since she graduated he has allowed some of his imagination work a little, especially when it comes to her. He can't let on that he knows she is there, and he certainly has plans to get to her after the party. It is about time she realize she is his.
After the party has ended and the servers/waitresses are leaving, Michael is quick to catch up with Carly. They start with some small talk and then all things change. There is a fever in both of them, and they are definitely taking the first step to making dreams come true, for both of them. The promise left on Michael's lips is that he is just getting started. Considering that when he says this, their fire has just been ignited further, and they are not about to put it out.

This was a short installment story that took about a half hour to read. It was a good book, but it did start out a little slow for me. I give this 3.5 stars but round up since we can't do half stars on here. I thought the conversations between Carly and Michael seemed a little robotic at times. It picked up for me at the end though, especially with the reveal of a side of Michael Carly didn't know about. That makes for a promising setup to the next book.

This is sizzling hot! Michael is a sexy, strong, dominate billionaire, and a friend of Carly's father, but they now are keeping a secret from him. This first book in the series is hot, and definitely grabbed my interest, and it promises even more to come. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and if you like your books steamy, I recommend this one. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy that I received from Booksprout.

First part of this trilogy, you could read it as a hot stand alone, but why would you?

What was written, was written very well. However, I hate books that you have to continue to buy to finish the story. It’s my biggest, pet peeve, and therefore I will never give a unfinished book, aka a cliff hanger a full set of stars.

weird I just can't... the only reason I read these books is because the play book offer these free and ipusnas crashed for the couple of weeks :(

Michael and Carly are going to make a sexy, interesting couple when they get into it more. As it stands, this first installment was a little lacking. Not much of a buildup other than just telling us he's her dad's best friend. I like how dominant he is with her and that's she NOT a virgin. Some of the dialogue is a little cheesy in the sex scenes, though, so I hope it's cleaned up in the coming installments.
I'm looking forward to how their relationship evolves, though.
