This was an incredibly good story. I love when trying a new-to-me author pays off. Jameson and Kat were both easy to like and their chemistry was insanely sexy. I liked Jameson’s reluctance to appear soft in any way and how he couldn’t resist giving Kat that softness. I even liked Kat’s awkward mannerisms and her determination to be a stronger person. If you’re looking for a hot as heck office romance that is light on angst, has a bit of humor, and has tons of scorchingly hot sex, then Foreplay with the Boss isn’t a book you’ll want to miss.
Release Date: Sept. 15, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Office Romance POV: Dual - 1st person Heat: 4 out of 5 Type: Standalone
Wow I seriously enjoyed this book!!!! This was one of the best and hottest office romance books I've read in a long time!!! I loved how Jameson and Kat challenged each other and how they brought out the best in each other!!! This book was funny and hot and is really well written!!! Jameson has to teach Kat how to survive in the business world but then they decide that she needs help in the bedroom aswell..... I love Kat she is feisty and has a great sense of humor. Jameson is one Sexy business man who works way to much till Kat comes along and they have to work work together and the sparks start to fly!!!!
First time reading this author and I was pleasantly surprised. You never know who you are going to meet. When you’re saved from the train or even the workplace. Nothing could have surprised Kat and Jameson when they would be working together.
Kat had to learn to be a boss and have a backbone. When her father asked a Jameson to train her, he obliged. Jameson also had a goal. To be on top. You don’t make it on top by being easy. You have to be cut throat in the business world. That was what Jameson wanted to teach Kat. But what Kat taught Jameson is to have a heart. They both learned from each other. By working close proximity, Kat and Jameson wasn’t just his peer. She was everything to him. They were attracted to one another. Chemistry was sizzling between them. With them together, nothing could stop the duo to be on top.
This was my first read by this author and I am definitely not disappointed. I would say I am excited to get another story written by her into my hands. I loved the flow, both of the characters and the heat constantly rising between them. I especially loved Jameson and his alpha attitude. Gosh he is such a demanding man. You know the type every woman wants to get for herself. The book was easy to read and sometimes so hot that you could feel the heat through your bones. I can only recommend.
Title: Foreplay with the Boss Author: Cynthia Page Series: standalone Genre: erotic romance Heat: 4/5 Rating: 4/5
Wow, I enjoyed this one, and it's immediately gone to my 'best of 2017' list. It was steamy, it was sweet, and it was really, really well-written. For a debut, I was impressed.
Honestly, Kat is one of my all-time favourite protagonists. She is so real: anxious, human, with crazy bed hair and a tendency to ramble. She is one of the most identifiable characters in any book I've read in the indie book world, and she just spoke to me, including her failed romances and her lack of ability to believe in herself.
It was a wonderful transformation to witness (and even experience), and it's a rarity to have an erotica/romance book with the female character actually being more fleshed out than the male. Refreshing, is how I'd describe it.
This is an author I will be immediately putting on my watchlist. If you're in the mood for some sizzling eroticism and fabulous chemistry, pick this up.
When I read the description of the book my interest was peaked. I mean who wouldn’t be interested in finding out just what kind of lessons one would be given in order to be more assertive in both the boardroom and the bedroom? So, I decided to trust my gut and take a chance on this one and I absolutely loved it! It was sweet, smexy, funny, low on angst and big on heart with characters that kept me turning the pages to see just what they’d be getting up to next!
My first reaction upon meeting Kat was “Oh god, she’s gonna be THAT girl” it wasn’t necessarily a bad reaction, but what she’s doing when we first meet her combined with the fact that we already know she is a bit of a mouse had me preparing for a long haul with the girl, but soon it became very apparent that there was so much more to her and any trepidation I had disappeared. I loved her wit, sass and heart and enjoyed watching as she came into her own.
Jameson is all business all of the time. His reputation of being stone cold was one he has worked hard to achieve and even harder to maintain. I loved Jameson. He’s married to his company, and his reasons why make sense...mostly, but despite his intimidating exterior the heart that beats underneath is bigger than even he sometimes knows. He’s charming, sly and is all kinds of alpha AF smexy and all of that is without even trying which makes him absolutely lethal.
From the moment Jameson and Kat collided sparks flew, and I must say I loved the meet cute nature of it, and all it did was snowball from there. I have to give them credit for trying, hard, to keep things professional and not cross that line, but the chemistry between them wouldn’t allow it. It really was fun to watch them fight each other and themselves and then fail, because they really were perfect for each other and the more time they spent together all the reasons they should be together kept growing. And the smexy was nuclear (have B.O.B. ready to go) Unfortunately there always has to be a few bumps in the road and the big one isn’t a surprise, it’s laid out from the start, and though I knew what was probably going to happen, I was still pleasantly surprised with how it was exposed and how it was resolved between them and loved where they were at in their relationship at the end of the book.
Had I not done my due diligence and checked out Ms. Page’s social media I never would have guessed that this was her debut novel. I enjoyed her writing style and voice. pacing was great as was the dual 1st person POV. I liked how she kept things simple and didn’t try to pile on the drama and angst in hopes of keeping things interesting. I loved Kat and Jameson and am hoping that Ben and Nate will be getting books because they both peaked my interest, and of course I’m crossing my toes for more so I can get updates on Kat and Jameson. If you’re looking for a fun and smexy read with great characters that has just the right amount of drama to keep things interesting then Foreplay With the Boss is a definite must read!

Oh. My. Deliciousness! Hotness. Foreplay with the Boss?? Yes! This book makes me remember what it was like to always be on that brink, clothes still on, heavy petting and kissing and panting and breathlessness and heart-pounding intensity of really good, lingering foreplay can you feel it? YASSSSSS Katrina. Sweet, sassy yet timid with a hidden sex kitten, Kat. She’s is in line to take over her father’s business, Taylor Made Marketing in Hartford, CT., but needs to get some experience under belt managing a marketing team. She’s competing with the big boys in a field dominated by alpha men. So, where do you go to learn how to be an alpha woman? From one of the top alphas in the business. So she heads to Boston on temporary assignment to get her training. On her way to her interview with Craze Marketing and Advertising, she bumps into a hot, sexy man on the subway train who came to her rescue after an embarrassing fall. Classic case, ‘oh shit that was YOU?!’ when she reaches his office. From there the sparks continue to fly! And the Stone is rock hard! Jameson Stone. I mean his name! Whiskey and hard, roughness just oozes manliness. This guy has got it bad! From the moment he lays eyes on her he can not stop thinking about Kat and her sexy curves! Even I was getting a little envious of the time he spent thinking about her! Wouldn’t it be nice if women could know how much their man thinks about and fantasizes about them? And he might be all hot and businessman alpha but he’s close with his mom and does what he does for his parents; keeping his dad’s legacy alive and well respected. Katrina must’ve had a degree in psychology or something too because the way she can read people and charm them is an interesting character trait. I loved the way Kat and Jameson played off each other. She could be sassy and flirty with him but when it comes to the boardroom, she’s timid and shy. His job is to make sure once her temporary assignment is over, she can own any boardroom, and he’s hoping his bedroom as well. It’ll be tricky navigating how to play that angle especially since Jameson knows her father, Stu, and a secret he’s keeping from Kat about Stu’s firm. I’m so excited about this debut book by Cynthia Page and I can’t wait to see what other Boston Billionaires are up to!
Kat has had a problem with being bold, so her father sends her to train with a new boss, in hopes that she can take over the family business. Little did she know that she would feel far more towards that new boss, Jameson Stone, the billionaire CEO of Craze Advertising, which makes it hard to work with him. He starts to teach her to demand what she wants instead of backing down in the boardroom, and in the bedroom as well. As she gets bolder, it extends into some seriously HOT foreplay. But she knows that if she's not careful, that she will lose everything she's worked for to a man who is all about business. WOW! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE of this story so much, that I devoured it in a matter of a couple of hours, as I couldn't put it down. I absolutely LOVED watching Kat evolve into a brave woman, and let her inner sassy out, which made for some hilariously placed humor that had laughing hard. And Jameson was drool worthy, even with his hang ups. Together they about made my kindle spontaneously combust into FIERY FLAMES with all the sexy times. It looks like this is the debut book by Cynthia Page, and boy, her talented writing style shone through, to where I find that I'm already addicted. I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next, as I'm a fan! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Wow what a fantastic debut novel by Cynthia Page, I need more !!!! If Office Romances are books you love then you need to read Foreplay with the Boss. Kat and Jamieson are a couple you can't help falling in love with, they are strong, sexy and funny, it was great to see how their relationship developed as the story unfolded, watching lust turning into love. Kat is a shy intelligent woman trying to learn how to be a confident boss and Jamieson a total alpha male is supposed to teach her everything he knows about business , they weren't meant to fall for each other. Boardroom to bedroom he teaches her everything he knows !!! This is a well-written story that hooked me from the first chapter and I want more from Cynthia Page. I'm going to say it again Fantastic Debut Novel with just the right mix of romance and humour.
This is the first book I have read by Cynthia Page, and she has really written one of the best office romance books I have read ever. I loved how Jameson & Kat are instantly attracted to one another. But both are unwilling to cross that line because of their work situation. Needless to say, feelings and emotions could not be denied. This is quite a sexy read, with plenty of laugh out loud moments. I think I would love to have someone like Kat as a friend. She is awkwardly adorable with a heart of gold. Jameson tries to rule his work life to the very opposite ends of how his own father did. This making him focus on work and work alone. Luckily for him he finds there is more to life with just having Kat by his side. Brilliantly written that had me feeling just about every emotion. Loved it. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book

I loved Foreplay With The Boss by Cynthia Page, the first book in the Billionaires of Boston series. This workplace/billionaire romance is written in dual POV. I especially loved the couples meet-cute and how realistic the storyline was. But also how respectful Jameson treated Kat, even before he knew who she was and what her deal was. This couple was like two perfect pieces of a puzzle, they completed each other 100%. Where Jameson was hard, Kat was soft, and the other way around. There are plenty of sex scenes that are diverse, well built, and just all-around hot. Jameson worships Kat, and I'm here for it!
Foreplay With The Boss is smoothly written, making it very easy to read, set in a realistic world with relatable characters. It's streamy office romance at its best, funny, sweet, romantic, and super steamy.
I received a copy of the book from the author but am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
Foreplay with the Boss....Yes Please! Kat was my girl in this book. She needed to work on herself not in the office, but definitely out of it and behind closed doors. I love that she was ready to learn more in the business world and Jameson was there to help. Then when they meet I literally felt the butterflies in my stomach. I knew the chemistry was there and I was excited to see where this "thing" would go with these two. In the bedroom, Kat lets go and learns a trick or a few from Jameson. Can I say how hot and yummy this book is? Well it blew me away and I loved every dirty detail about Foreplay with the Boss. I definitely recommend this book for your next weekend read! 4.5 Stars!!
This book was hot. This is definitely more on the erotica side than I'm used to, but I had a fun time. I'd also like to add that the title is the most accurate book title I've ever seen. It represents it to the T. I liked the characters. I love how Kat was very willing to try new things, and it made this more exciting. I really liked her character development. As for Jameson, he is HOOTTT. He was caring and thoughtful, but also dominant when need be. He annoyed me a bit at the end because he wasn't being honest with Kat. I could see where he was coming from, but communication is key. Anyways, I had a fun time reading it, but I probably won't reread.
Wow.....for a debut novel, this book was ah-maz-ing!! I loved it. One of the best boss/employee books I've read. Jameson is your total alpha male, and Kat is an intelligent, yet timid woman who needs to be more assertive in the business world. Loved watching the relationship develop between them from just a physical attraction to them having genuine feelings for one another. This story was well-written, developed, and thought out. So wonderful and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
**I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and this is my honest review**
What a fantastic debut book by Ms. Page. I love a good office romance story and this one did not disappoint. I loved everything about this book. The characters are strong, the plot is engaging and the romance and sex and is very satisfying. Jameson and Kat have a great sense of humor with each other and I love how their relationship develops. I definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to reading more books from Ms. Page.
This appears to be the first book for Cynthia Page, and I have to say she came out swinging. Great characters, great story, dialogue was believable and flowed naturally. Jameson and Kat had chemistry from the start. I enjoyed their banter, especially as Kat developed more confidence. There was no OW drama and I appreciated that we didn't have to work to like the H despite that. I have followed Ms. Page on all platforms and look forward to what's next.
about woman who wants to take over family business but doesnt have skills so goes to work for ceo. he helps her and in the bedroom. i liked the scenes. but i thought it would be dirtier cause in blurb it says she wants to do things she only read about. i liked the way they fell in love. i was expecting more of a drama when she finds out hes taking over her company. but ending was good too.i liked their relationship.
This was my first read from Cynthia Page and I will definitely be looking for more. It was well written, had great dialogue and seriously hot chemistry. Kat and Jameson were believable characters and really worked together. The story flowed really well and had just enough angst. Looking forward to more from this author. I received an ARC of this book.
"Foreplay with the Boss" was such a great book. It was a perfect scandalous romance that ends with heartbreak resolving to both friendship and love. Cynthia Page has written a book that I would highly suggest to some of my friends. Five stars to her. 3 for writing and 2 for vividness and/of word choice(s). I am not the best with words so I am not certain I did the book justice in this review.
I won a copy of this book from All Things Schmexy. Love when I come across new authors. Couldn't get enough of this book and the characters in it. It was a great story and loved how they pushed one another and made me laugh at times. Would love to read another story by this author in the future.
This book captivated right from the start! Good story line. Enough hotness and snarky comments. Did not want it to end. Looking forward to more reading from this author.
Foreplay with the Boss is a fun workplace romance. Kat is a recent business school graduate who is working for her father at his PR firm which has recently merged with a larger firm. Kat has always wanted to take over for her father when he retires, but he doesn’t feel that she is ready so he arranges for her to intern with the CEO of the parent company. Jameson is new as the CEO and he is driven to prove that he deserved to earn the position and is not really happy about having to babysit Kat. They have really great Meet Cute before they know each other’s identities and they do try and stay professional but they have great chemistry and eventually get together. Their relationship feels natural as does their conflict, it doesn’t come out of nowhere as it often does other romances and we get to enjoy their HEA.
