They say death brings people together, but just how close do they get?
When Sylvia Redding inherits a cottage in Alaska from her great aunt, she takes a summer off work to decide what she wants to do. She takes this trip with only one option in mind - to sell the property for however much she can get.
Sylvia has a comfortable enough life in Maine, and she doesn’t want to give it up. As soon as she steps off the plane she visits a realtor agency, willing to take any price for the house no matter how small.
However, Sylvia wasn’t planning on meeting Ryan Weller, the drop dead sexy bar man that tends the only social house in town. There’s an instant attraction, and soon she finds herself wondering if she wants more than just a ‘comfortable’ existence.
Ryan Weller has lived in Alaska his entire life, but not for the hunting heads that so nicely decorated his bar. He’s a bear shifter, and this town too small to really be a town is his territory. Everyone knows him, and he knows everyone. The striking natural blonde that strolls into his establishment seemingly out of the blue instantly brings out the animal in him. He has to have her; there are no ‘if’s, ‘and’s, or ‘but’s about it.
But will Sylvia even want to stay in Ryan’s rustic home town where the internet crawled slower than a snail? When the summer ends, will their brief, intense affair be enough of a promise to keep her?
This is a standalone of about 180 pages with a Happily Ever After ending and No cliffhanger. This book also contains several additional bonus stories to enjoy!

Her books are a great way to satisfy your craving for paranormal romance with action, love and suspense.
I'm usually not this harsh but this novella was not interesting or amusing or anything . It lacked any real depth of plot . A young woman inherits a house. She goes to claim it , meets a man they fall in love, she discovers he's a bear shifter, slightly freaks out but stays with him as his mate. The end. I'll bet I've read 50 books that were the same. Just change the people ,places and animals . Right ladies ?? The redeeming quality of this book is that it's short !
I thoughly enjoyed reading all the stories in this book. Each story was unique in it's own way. I was eager to read the next story each time I finished one. Thank you.
I think I was nice giving it 2 stars. It's far from the worse book I have ever read, but.....
Not well written. Boring. Young Adults from about 16 & up can read it. They just will not want to.
There is some very mild sex scenes. It's like they were added to make a Young Adult book into an Adult story. This failed massively.
Filled with various editing problems. The story is disjointed and, once again I must say, 'BORING'. The mc's and the story itself comes off as juvenile. There is no real world nor character build.
Odd wording and terminology.
If this is a sample of her writing, then I am not interested. I have some of her other books, but one more like this & they all go to the reject shelf.
I hate writing reviews like this. ☹ What I hate more is authors who put up books like this for people to read. I don't care if it's free, you paid for it, or they paid you to read it. This type of book shows a lack of professionalism and disregard for the art form of writing.
If you don't want to see reviews like this, then edit your books and write them with care 'BeFore' you publish them.
It had to be hard for Sylvia Redding. Here she was faced with her aunts death. She felt guilty for not spending more time with her aunt. I can not imagine all the emotions that she was feeling as she saw the jeep and the cabin that her aunt left her. Totally not what she expected.
I had to wonder if her aunt left her the cabin in hopes that Sylvia would find what she was searching for. Though Sylvia had a job and worked hard for what she had it was clear that she was missing something. She will defiantly find what she is missing in Ridgeville, Alaska.
OMG, Ryan was super sexy and add being a bear shifter to the mix and that makes it even more sexier. I did feel sorry for Ryan when the story bout his parents was revealed. It was truly a sad situation.
I almost laughed when Ryan revealed his bear to Sylvia. I really laughed how Sylvia’s mother handled it when told the news. I can only imagine the fear that Ryan must of felt. This had to be something hard to reveal. His mate could either accept him or reject him.
Super funny how Ryam’s bear strutted his stuff. You will laugh so hard when reading about Ryan’s bear and Sylvia’s first meet.
This was a good story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

This was a fast and easy read/listen. The story is about facing your fears and not judging a book by its cover. Sylvia is satisfied with her life and isn’t looking for love. Her life however, isnt in Alaska. She’s trying decide what her future holds and what direction she wants to go.
Ryan is a lonely gentle giant of a man who turns into a very large hairy bear. He fears that his mate will reject him because he is shifter. Sylvia does reject him at first but a talk with her mother calms her down. She now knows that Ryan is her future and that hairy or not, man or bear she loves him and she takes a leap of faith.
What about her other life, her job, the cabin? Is Alaska someplace she can see herself putting down roots? Will Ryan give and receive the love he so desperate to have? See what decisions Sylvia makes. Also, see what in store for the two on their journey to an HEA.
Bearly Deniable is another great short story by Amelia Wilson. It's a quick read (actually read it while waiting for my brother to finish physical therapy) and is a great opening story to the series. Sylvia goes to Alaska to clean out and sell the cabin her aunt left her upon her death. Expecting an old beat-up jeep and small run-down cabin, Sylvia is pleasantly surprised to find a new Jeep and a mansion of a cabin. Her first night in town she meets Ryan the local bartender/owner and he instantly recognizes a mate for his bear. Ryan gets himself invited to help Sylvia hoping to get to know her better and maybe win her over. When Sylvia finds out he's a bear shifter she doesn't respond well but thanks to advice from her mother Ryan and Sylvia get their HEA! Can't wait to read more of this series.
BEARLY DENIABLE is the first book in the UnBearable Romance series. I’m not sure, but I believe you’ll want to read them in the order of release.
This was a fun, light, short read (listen). I loved Sylvia and was glad she had the opportunity to slow down for a month or so and find herself in the town her aunt had loved so much. Do you suppose her aunt somehow knew Sylvia would find her HEA in Alaska?
Narration: The narration by Erin Coker is well done. Her voice was pleasant to listen to while I drove and engaged in the story she was telling.
This is the first book I have picked up from Amelia Wilson. I will definitely be looking for more.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy via www.getfreeaudiobooks.com, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
Title: BEARLY DENIABLE Series: UnBearable Romance #1 Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Listenability: NSFW Received from: Amelia Wilson (as an Audible gifted copy)
It's a light, fun read. I wasn't hit over the head with any Great Universal Truths and it kept me interested to the end of the title work. (I've already read several of the bonus books that are included with this one so, for this read, I've skipped over the bonus material.) Sylvia seems like most successfully overworked young professionals in that she has a life she doesn't have time to live. Ryan was definitely my favorite character in the book. He's sweet and charming and completely terrified to reveal himself to Sylvia, which makes me love him all the more. The ending felt a little abrupt and like there was still part of the story left to tell. I've very interested to see what happens next in this series.
A very enjoyable read from Amelia Wilson. Thrilled to have discovered a new author who writes with such passion and conviction. Sylvia was such an interesting character, being on a journey of self discovery finding out who she was against the beautiful backdrop of Alaska. I couldn't put it down until I got to the end with a smile on my face. Read this book, you won't be disappointed. In fact you will be downloading every other book that the author has written.
The first book ends at about 8%, followed by more novellas and sales pitches. The title book moves quickly and is the best written of the entire compilation. The writing deteriorates as the stories progress, almost like watching skill devolve. Still, if you're looking to idle away some free time, reading the first novella won't take too long and won't strain your brain cells. It's quick and formulaic, with a major TSTL moment for the heroine (rampant in these days of the stupidity epidemic of modern heroines), and has the requisite HEA.
I loved this book. I couldn't stop reading. It is a fast read. If you like hot sexy shifters and loving women, you will like this book. Ryan is a bear shifter and small town bartender in Alaska. Sylvia is human from Maine who travels to the town to try to sell the house her great aunt left her. The chemistry is instant. Will Sylvia accept Ryan's bear and decide to stay in Alaska? This is the first book in a series but there are no cliffhangers . It is well-written with believable characters and storyline.
Kuddos to the author Amelia Wilson, she sure can make any story she writes so enduring and fun to read.
Ryan and Sylvia's story is so cute and romantic. What woman wouldn't want a strong hansome bear/man to love, adore and protect them? Hmmm??? I sure would, lol.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Reviewer for Nook Books and More Blog.
I am a big fan of shifter books and I really enjoyed this one. Sylvia inherit a house in Alaska from her aunt. She goes to check out the house and to see about selling it. While there she meets Ryan and she starts to rethink her plans. They have an instant attraction but she is there short term and he has a secret. The chemistry builds but can she let anything happen? This is the first in this series, I can't wait to read more.
Sylvia inherits a cabin and jeep from her great aunt who recently passed away. Ryan is a local bear shifter who finds a mate in Sylvia. When she finds out he's a bear, she doesn't take it so well, but after a couple of days life seems to smooth out. Unfortunately, I found the ending lacking content and it didn't sit well with me. My rating is a 3.5
this one was pretty good.. I think it was a bit short at the end.. the author could have smoothed that out a bit more but the overall story was solid and the characters were interesting. I kinda wish there had been more interaction between Sylvia and the sister but that's just me. also it seems like there could totally be a sequel to this one if the author chose. so I'd recommend it for a quick read.
What a brilliant book. Sylvia goes to Alaska for the summer to sort out a house she has been left by her grant house when Sylvia arrived she didn’t expect such a beautiful place. Sylvia had found a nice bar the night before to stop get something to eat this is where she met Ryan a bear shifter. Ryan offers to help her out at her great aunts house Ryan knows Sylvia is his mate now he just has to show her what he is. Didn’t put the book down until I had read it all look forward to reading next in the series
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.
Ryan and Sylvia meet under strange circumstances and hit it off very well. A revelation makes Sylvia want to change her mind until her mother reminds her of how she taught her about people and their motives. This leads to a HEA, but the book seemed to have not enough substance to make it as good as its potential.
Bearly Deniable – Amelia Wilson – Aunt Rachel leaves a house and a Jeep with a trust for Sylvia in Alaska, so she takes a vacation to go check it out. When she sees the place, she wishes she could ask her aunt questions and thank her in person. But when she catches the eye of the local bar owner, she realizes that leaving may be the last thing she wants to do. I’m on a roll with these love at first sight shifter books, but this one is a cute, fast fling! Happy Reading!
There is a person in the woods murdering women. Angel one sees visions of the women before they are killed. She is caught saving a woman on shifter land. Killian a shifter is intrigued with Angelina upon meeting her, although he does not trust humans. You will have to read the book to find out who the killer is and if Angelina and Jillian can work past their differences to be together.
It was a good short love story. Had excellent steamy scenes and I liked the main characters. I would have liked more romance or dates between the two but understand it was a short story. Enjoy HEA. I received this audiobook, by my request, in exchange for an honest review from getfreeaudiobooks.com.
I listened to the audio version of this book. Sylvia inherits a cabin in Alaska and comes to check it out and see if she can sell it. Her first night in town she meets a sexy bartender who offers to help her with her heavy lifting. Little does she know her vacation is about to get very interesting.
I recieved a free advance copy for a review. I liked this story, it tels the story of Sylvia that inherited a house in Alaska but while there she meets her mate. It full of fun and a bit of sadness but in the end it all works out good. Best part my name is the same as the lead lady😁
Nice light-hearted shifter romance. Sylvia starts out with guilt over what her Aunt has left her, but finally finds where she truly belongs. I thoroughly enjoyed Sylvia’s interactions with Ryan. Some of the scenes were funny, some were sad, but a really enjoyable story.
Great Characters and a Fun story to be enjoyed! When a loved one passes and leaves you a house, don't pass up going to look at it first hand. Never know what you might find!
This was a "just what I needed book". Not just your usual paranormal story. This was a quiet story of how to people make a relationship work...well when one of you is a bear.
This was a good story, nice and to the point, good development, good cast of characters. You wanted to keep reading and see what happens. The ending was a bit abrupt, IMO, I wished things had wrapped up a little differently, but still a good story.
Sylvia inherited a house from her aunt. The house was located in Alaska. Ryan is an owner of a bar and a bear shifter. Sylvia walks into his bar for lunch and Ryan fell in love with her. I like to listen to this book. I recieved this audible free for an review
A young lady inherits a cabin in Alaska. She goes there not expecting much. What she gets is something that is totally amazing. Once in town she stops at a bar/restaurant. She meets a man that holds her interest. He has a secret.
