Rate this book
In this six-session video Bible study (DVD/digital video sold separately), Kristy Cambron invites you on a journey through the book of Acts using a technique that revolutionized her time with God–Verse Mapping. If you have a deep desire to unpack the meaning of the Scriptures you’re reading but you want to do it in a simple way–then verse mapping is for you. Verse mapping includes Hebrew/Greek word studies, finding connections in Scripture, comparing Bible translations, and learning as much as you can from your time with the Holy Spirit. And it’s even better when you do it with others as a group. Simply put, verse mapping is getting real about studying Scripture. More than just reading a verse or passage, it’s about researching everything you can about what you’ve read to learn more about who God is and how He speaks into your life through His Word. What if there were no barriers to your faith journey? Take a verse mapping journey through the book of Acts and experience your own story road through Scripture! Kristy Cambron is a USA TODAY bestselling author who writes from the space where beauty, art, and history intersect. She's an award-winning author of historical fiction, including her internationally bestselling novels, THE BUTTERFLY AND THE VIOLIN and THE PARIS DRESSMAKER, as well as nonfiction titles. Her work has been named to Cosmopolitan's Best Historical Fiction Novels, Library Journal’s Best Books, and has been featured at People Magazine, Once Upon a Book Club Box, Frolic, Book Club Girl, BookBub, and Country Woman magazine.

Her new novel, THE FRENCH KITCHEN, is available now -- in which an ex-pat wife haunted by her experiences as an undercover agent in the American OSS during WWII crosses paths with chef Julia Child in a post-war Paris cookery class, complicating the carefully constructed high-society world she’s built to hide her past.

Kristy holds a degree in art history/research writing and spent fifteen years in education and leadership development for a Fortune 100 corporation, partnering with such companies as the Disney Institute, IBM/Kenexa, and Gallup, before stepping away to pursue her passion for storytelling. She's also served as Vice President and a literary agent with Gardner Literary.

Kristy lives in Indiana with her husband and three basketball-loving sons, where she can probably be bribed with a peppermint mocha latte and a good read.

I did this one with the online group, rather than an in-person group, which I think I would have preferred. I think verse mapping is really neat though, and Cambron lays it out so easily and simply. From the online group, some people were waaaaay overthinking it and making it something more stressful than it should be - and why stress about Bible study?? I think it's just something that is going to change and develop as you do it more. And if it always stays simple, who cares? It's the heart and thought behind it that matters most.

My Bible Study did this study of Acts as we wanted to learn more about verse mapping. We did the study guide and the video. Most of us did not care for this study, but we all would agree we learned something more about Acts and verse mapping. Many of us plan to continue verse mapping on future studies.

This might have made better sense to me if I had the DVD to go with it as I read it, but t does give me a great idea of how to verse map in any book of the Bible.

I do think the dvd series is helpful to show you how to use this method of studying the Bible. The illustrations for each segment are interesting. I am doing another study of Acts this fall with She Reads Truth and I’m interested in seeing how I like this as I go through Acts.

Map reversing taught me a deeper way to study the Bible. Kristy's examples in the videos moved me. The verse mapping workbook was a bit confusing to understand at first but once comprehension rained on I loved it. I now map verse as part of my Bible reading.
