What a great read! I went to the RI Authors Expo in late 2017 and had some fun shopping for myself! I met the author and her husband and they were so engaging that I bought this one and one of her children’s book as a gift.
As a Rhode Islander (now) I love that the story predominantly takes place in RI. It’s fun to read about places that are real and that one has seen. Claremary’s story is intriguing and the characters are well developed. It’s a “who done it” and the plot twists keep you guessing until the end. I will definitely read more of her books.

Loved it! I had recently attended an online lecture by Claremary Sweeney, which is how I learned about her mystery series. The setting is Rhode Island, specifically South County. Readers will enjoy the familiar locales and, more importantly, become wrapped up in the storyline of tis who-dunnit. I appreciated how Ms. Sweeney carefully wove the plot with interesting and likeable characters; compelling narrative; well-written dialog; and a few red herrings. The photos of historical buildings located in Kingstown will also delight the reader.

Snagged this at a local author event and was looking forward to reading it after having a really nice chat with the author.

And let me tell you, I was not disappointed!! I've read a lot of psychological thriller a d mystery books and this one is up there with some of the better ones! I was hooked from page one. Each of the characters had fun personalities and characteristics and they each had their part ot play to move the plot along.

I loved every second of it and I'm a so excited to dive into book two!!

This quick read was a delight to read since it included references to numerous area landmarks in RI. The first of five books. Looking forward to the rest.
Throw in some Allies, Greggs, Shartners, Phil's Delicatessen, Fairweather House, Bike Path at the Kingston Station, etc. etc. etc. and you have a winner!!

Very much enjoyed this mystery set in my hometown. The author captured life in this small, picturesque town. Well-developed characters, and a very good plot! Also, includes in wonderful descriptive prose tidbits of interesting history about the area.
