ABSOLUTELY loved it...mystery suspense romance and humor...I was thoroughly CAUGHT UP in the lives of the Dunning family and their circle of family/friends/enemies...Chrystina and Myles friendship/work relationship turned HOT steamy romance kept me lol throughout...looking forward to the next book in this new series...KUDOS on another ENGAGING read Ms. Bolling!

I Was Definitely Invested
Ms. Bolling has blessed readers with another fabulous suspense series. She's my Queen of Suspense. I always know I'm in for a nice ride, and amazing storytelling adventure. Invested was about the Dunning family, and the aftermath following the death of the Patriarch Hepburn Dunning. The story moves at a moderate pace, ever so mindful of the intricate story details designed to keep readers waiting with bated breath. The central characters were Myles Davis Dunning and his administrative assistant Chrystina. I liked Chrystina; she was a voluptuous full-figured beauty, and she wore it well. I loved her take charge persona.. Myles loved it too! The back story dealt with what happened to the senior Dunning. This was the fuel behind the snakes trying to take over Dunning Bank.. AnneMarie and Cainan's part in the story was intriguing. The initial read on Cainan lead us to believe he could not be trusted. I'm still watching him closely.. I can't wait to see how that plays out. As well as the other central Dunning family members and key players, like Ms. Vasquez, Daisy,Winnie, Uncle Walker, Gary, Michael and Grace. I especially want to know what's the deal between Grace and Jonathan Martin..... I'm ready for more!

Five stars series!!
What an amazing book! Filled with drama and action from the first page! Myles a man hit with one of the biggest loss of his life and have to push through to be thrust into the position of filling his fathers shoes of running a successful business and taking care of the family. With all that's happening he still finds love! Chrystina has to be my favorite character so far. She is funny, smart, beautiful and plus sized. I love the way she handles business and know how to give her friend, man and boss just what he needs when he needs it,! This book/series is definitely a must read!

I was asked to read book 2, so I decide to read the first book in the series. I am so glad I read this book. This author is truly gifted in her craft. The CEO of Dunning Bank and Trust, the only African American owned financial institution has died. When his son, Myles is voted in by the board to take his father's place, he will start to find out who is a friend, and who is an enemy, and let's just say, not every family member is a friend. There was a lot of drama and suspense, with just a touch of romance and the author did a great job with this story. And I am excited to see what happens next.

Where do I begin, the way only Iris Billing can do she took us on a ride of suspense, love, secrets, trust, and miss trust in one neat package. Giving us characters to love and hate while leaving unanswered questions about others. Well written with scenes that brought laughter, tears and a few "oh hell no." Can't wait till book 2 drops . My question is with five Dunning siblings why is this series only a trilogy? IJS

Family, Faith and Trust
The Dunning family was built on high moral principles and the death of their leader will not change that. Miles steps up to the plate - both figuratively and literally. Chrystyna is right there, as always, to stand beside him and support. Their 10 year journey takes a beautiful leap. Intrigue, suspense, love and hurt! Beautifully scripted.

Invested captured me from the title to the epilogue. This was a dynamic page turner I was trying to read this every chance I got. I love the characters I think my favorite was Daisy and then Christina. I loved the quote Family First and Foremost. I am anxiously awaiting the next book. Great job!!

Edge of my seat
This book is so good it had my attention from beginning to end . I found myself holding my breath and not realizing it untill I had breathe lol. I Was Not Ready
I was not ready for this story to end! My heart was beating faster and faster the closer I got to the ending. This story has some of my favorite elements: family, suspense, and sensual lovemaking. There are so many twists and turns that I could not keep up. I can not wait to see how this story unfolds. Iris please do not keep us waiting too long!

Invested is an excellent introduction to the Dunning Family Series. A story of family, love, power, and revenge. You will not be disappointed by this page-turner. Bolling knocks this debut novel to the Dunning Trilogy with book 1 out the park. This book captures your attention from start to finish.

Loved it
I really enjoyed this New series and I really hope the next book doesn't take long to come out. Dunning family loved them all except Walker, Myles is the man and Chrystina is the woman. Loved it

The Dunnings are African American royalty so to speak. The head of the family is murdered. His eldest son is chosen his successor. Chaos and insurrection are just the tip of the iceberg of the trouble being brought to the doors of the bank. Threats from the mob and those who think blacks don't deserve to be in the banking industry . Love is being developed by an unlikely couple. I love this series and can't wait to read more

My first read by author Iris Boiling. Myles Dunning and Chrystina Price are co-workers in his family's banking business. She is his Executive Assistant and love interest. Plenty of jealousy, power plays and vindictive actions make Invested a great start to this series.

The loss of Hepburn Dunning has Myles doubting stepping into a bigger than life shoes of the father who was everything to him. Myles also assumes the head of his family his beloved mother Winnie who has lost her soul mate, his two brothers and two sisters, plus a huge staff of employees that are now looking to him to lead and take Dunning Bank further. The bank is in the top five in the world and inching up to spot number three on that list. As with anything else, enemies close and far are looking to wreck havoc, put chinks in the family armor and business but little do these enemies know, that Myles is a quiet storm that builds into a Category 5 in zero seconds flat and with a storm there is an eye that is ever watchful. I can't wait until author Iris Bolling releases the next book in this series. Lawd knows I couldn't put it down because I am "Invested" it had so many twists and turns but the story never got lost. We see a budding romance put on hold and one that is about to be claimed Woot! Woot!
My only gripe is the dad dying, you don't see too many stories where the elders are living long and happy marriages, so although it was great to read what a powerful love Hep and Winnie shared, I just wished he didn't die and they could have continued being together.

I dont even know where to begin. I have lots of authors I adore but only a few that I MUST read everything they put out. I believe Ms. Bolling will be on and at the top of my list. I encountered her through a boxed set that contained another author I read. She was the first author and I had not heard of her. Needles to say, I know her now.
This book had the perfect amount of suspense and romance and a terrific yet intriguing plot. Each of the characters are developed just enough to leave you wanting to know more. I must also say that I love the fact that it centers around a black family with power and integrity and supports the family unit...beyond refreshing. I am looking in on the other books as we speak!

Invested, I believe, is my first ready by this author but will definitely NOT be my last. The Dunning family is definitely A1. But there is always a bad grape in the bunch. I would've loved for Hep to make it a couple of more chapters so that I could have seen his relationship with Winniford and the rest of the family. I absolutely love Chrystina. She is definitely a boss in her own right. Mitch was delusional and had been his entire life seems like. Let me start book 2!

Oh my..fast paced, interesting, fun. This was a roller coaster of who Dunn what. With several traitors in place Myles an Christina find there love. Active shooter, crazy Uncle, Russian Mob, FBI all surrounding one family an bank. Can't wait to read the follow up.

I am fully INVESTED!!!
This is my 2nd time reading this book and it is packed with suspense and mystery. Who killed Yep? What's going on with Cainan? Why didn't Hep want Cainan with AnnieMarie but trusted him as a board member? What will Phase Int'l and America's Bank do now that Dunning is geared to take the number 2 spot? How does Jonathan's move come into play? What else is going to be thrown at Myles? Will Walker and Mitch get it together and repent or get themselves killed? I can go on and on. I cannot wait to read Banking on Love to find out the answers to my questions, and to see what happens with this family. Iris has done a great job of creating characters that are smart, funny, and loving. They make you want to be a part of the family. And the storyline is so engaging. The world of banking is cutthroat and I found myself cheering for the Dunnings to succeed.

The plot and story line is amazing, you are giving us Romantic Suspense meets murder mystery and I am here for it all. The chemistry between Miles and Chrys could be felt from the beginning. The comedic timing was on point. I love the Dunn family and I don't want to give anything away so I will leave it there. Hep's executive assistant is the truth. She knows where all the skeletons are and she is determined to uncover them all. I can't wait to see what the next installment reveals. Job well done, this is definitely a must read.

Iris Billing is a GREAT story teller
Excellent Author This is such a good book. I have read all her books. I love a book when you can't put it down and you want to read the whole book in one day. Yes this a must read. When I know it's a Trilogy I usually buy all an read then all at once. I hate waiting for the next Book to come out. I'm not going to wait until I have them all before I read the next one. I'm telling you it's that good.

Excellent Read
I enjoyed this book so much. I like that it was about an African-American owned bank and family. I enjoyed the main characters and the suspense was great. I love a good love story with a subplot. I liked that the main character was described as being curvy and it discussed her journey of wanting to do better for her health. Altogether the book was great, but all of Ms.Bolling's books are great reads.

Family First!!!
The Dunning family are a close knit bunch! Family's always first except for Uncle Walker. He's totally different than the rest and up to no good! William Mitchell has a sense of entitlement that he believes makes him irreplaceable! Elaine, she's a witch! This story has so many layers, twists and turns! I wb awaiting the sequel! A few grammatical errors but a great read!

This was an exciting page turner! I didn't want to stop reading it, to find out what would happen next! I would highly recommend this book.

Great Start to a Promising Series
What a page turner! Invested is going to be a heck of a series. The Dunning family is sure to be one of the unforgettable AA families of the Romance genre. This story has a little bit of everything, drama, romance, intrigue, suspense, G-Men, Russian Mafia, undercover agents, and money, money money! I highly recommend it.
