ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Title: Her Rebel Cowboy
Series: Rodeo Knights
Author: Stephanie Rowe
Designation: Book 7 of Series, Novella, Standalone, No Cliffhanger, Originally Released As Part Of Multi-Author Rodeo Knights Collection #contemporary #romanticsuspense #oppositesattract #cowboyromance
My Rating: Five Captivating Stars*****

I've been a Stephanie Rowe fan for years and adore her always deeply moving and sensual prose. I think I own almost every book she's ever published. Her Rebel Cowboy was originally released as part of the Rodeo Knights multi-author collection but was published separately in June 2017, but I somehow missed reading it - until now. And WOW, what a knockout! This story may be relatively short, but it packs one heck of an emotional punch. The official page count is shown at 114 pages, but this reviewer estimates the actual story length to be around 80 to 90 pages. Her Rebel Cowboy is a standalone, contemporary romantic suspense novella loosely connected and based in the same world as Rowe's bestselling Wyoming Rebels Series, also featuring contemporary cowboy romance. So if you've read any of those, you may recognize a few names and faces! Rowe is a wonderfully gifted storyteller and skilled wordsmith, and her talent has never been more evident than in this emotionally packed short story. Her Rebel Cowboy is such a moving, opposites-attract, insta-love story, brimming with heartbreaking angst, engaging characters, emotional dialogue, heart-stopping danger, spine-tingling suspense, undeniable attraction, explosive passion, and heartwarming, tug at your heartstrings romance. The story was beautifully written with a third person omniscient narrative that brought tears to my eyes. There were so many things I loved about Her Rebel Cowboy, but my favorite component of this captivating tale was the characters. They were realistic, engaging, and wonderfully endearing. I was immediately smitten with handsome, smokin' hot cowboy and bull rider Wyatt Parker, and kindhearted, city-girl mystery novelist Noelle Wilder completely captured my heart. Wyatt and Noelle were such lost, tortured souls, both suffering from loss and tragic events in their pasts. But when these two lonely, unlikely lovers meet, the attraction was immediate, powerful, undeniable, and beyond explanation. It was kismet, almost magical. I know some folks don't believe in love at first sight, but I'm not one of them. I do believe it can happen, that two soulmates can meet and know instantly they're meant for each other, because it happened to my parents. And they were gloriously happy for over 60 years, until they were separated by death, but only for a few short months. They died within 3 months of each other. So yeah, this story truly spoke to me. It was very realistic and reminded me so much of my mom and dad's meeting and relationship. No spoilers from me, but I will say this... Beautiful, kind, brokenhearted mystery novelist with writer's block, still grieving the death of her husband and searching for her lost muse-check! Handsome, cocky bull-riding champion, wrongly accused of cheating and recovering from a severe injury while desperately trying to overcome the ghosts of his past, clear his name, and reboot his career-check! A mysterious enemy who apparently wants Wyatt dead-check! Danger, drama, suspense, angst, and a puzzling murder attempt-check! Two broken hearts, two lost souls who'd given up on life, a couple of meddling friends, an unexpected house swap, a raging storm, an undeniable connection, and heartwarming romance- you bet! That and a whole lot more!

So, did I like this story? No, I loved it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am. There are no explicit sex scenes but there is a lot of passion and sensuality. I actually didn't notice there were no actual sex scenes until I sat down to write this review. You didn't need the sex. You just felt the connection between Wyatt and Noelle. Will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my ereader as I chuckled, raged, fumed, shook my fists in anger, sniffled, snuffled, and outright ugly cried from the first page till the last! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Her Rebel Cowboy by Stephane Rowe

95 pages of emotional connection and survival of the most basic kind. A heart warming romance.
Heavy on emotion and descriptive introspective thoughts.

This cowboy swears a lot but never in actual words or seemingly out loud.
“Swearing, he dropped his hands and stepped back ....He swore, and moved a step toward her”
Real life?

Excerpt
"I'll keep you safe," he said quietly.
Her gaze flicked to his, and he didn't miss the flash of yearning in her eyes, coupled with a vulnerability that made his chest tighten. He knew then that no one ever kept her safe. No one ever took care of her. She took care of herself, and the people around her.
He wanted to give her that gift. He wanted it to be him who gave her even a few minutes of feeling like she didn't have to fight her battles herself...or at least this battle, for the next hour. He flicked his fingers, beckoning her toward him. "Come on, Noelle. Ride with me."
She took a deep breath, and she lifted her chin.
He knew then, before she spoke, before she moved, that she was going to say yes. Anticipation roared through him, a fierce, roaring sensation of rightness as she slowly lifted her hand.
His entire body hummed in anticipation as he waited for her to set her hand in his, but the moment he felt her fingers in his, peace settled deep inside him, all the way to his core, and he knew that this woman had come into his life for a reason, and he was going to find out what it was.”

I love anything Stephanie Rowe writes. This short story was good but it would have been better as a full length book. Wyatt and Noelle were fantastic together healing eachother. Still a happy reader of her books.

Wyatt, a bull rider, has been followed his whole career by his Dad's, also a bull rider, reputation...that of a cheater. Wyatt, of course, isn't one, but the stigma is hard to outrun. A year ago, someone entered his life and said believed in him. It wasn't long until Wyatt was proposing, secure in the knowledge she loved and supported him, until he learned it was all a ploy for those wanting something from him...the one thing he would never do. He's kept to himself since then, afraid to risk his heart or get close to anyone. But as he's with his best friend, Brody, they learn Wyatt's accident two months ago, resulting in Wyatt possibly being banned and labeled a cheater, wasn't at all accidental.

Noelle, a writer, knows pain and can't escape the impact it's still having on her life a year later. The majority of her short marriage was spent caring for her sick husband, David, who fought his illness for three years. They loved each other deeply, but unfortunately, their time together was meant to be short. She's finding it hard to fully let go of her past, of the grief, and begin moving forward. It's even noticeable in her writing, in the fact that she can't. Her best friend, Kate, knows she needs to do something to nudge Noelle along and she does. She arranges a house swap for Noelle, sending her to Oregon where she'll live for a month on Bunny's ranch and Bunny, hoping Wyatt is ready to take over her heritage, will try retirement, living in Noelle's house in Boston.

Almost immediately upon meeting, Wyatt and Noelle are drawn to each other. The connection, as well as the attraction, is intense. Both can already sense this isn't by any means casual. It could grow into something everlasting if they would only take the chance and open their hearts to the possibility.

Can both Wyatt and Noelle let go of their pasts? Can they find closure in some way, allowing them to explore what may be? What happens when Wyatt's troubles intrude on their growing relationship? Are either of them safe? Will they both survive, giving them the opportunity at a HEA?

One-click now and follow along as two people meet under unique circumstances and discover a love that will be tested as they fight for their lives. I loved this story and the pull between Wyatt and Noelle was easy to see. As for Noelle, being a caregiver myself, I could feel all the emotions she struggled with due to her husband's illness and subsequent death from it. Stephanie did a fantastic job of conveying the range people experience while caring for a loved one. I'm looking forward to more from the Hart family, as we only got a very brief overview of the siblings-by-choice through the introduction of Brody.

Cowboy romance, love! Wyatt is back bull riding after getting hurt bad a few month ago. He's now waiting to find out if he'll be suspended from riding but instead of being suspended he finds out the committee thinks someone is trying to murder him. Noelle is an author who just can't write since her husband died, instead she's running his restaurant which was his dream trying to keep it going. One day her friend tells her that she's signed her up for a house swap with the owner of a ranch. Once there she finds out her heart is still alive and beating now for a cowboy who someone wants dead.

This author does a great job giving her readers a romance that may not be long but is full of suspense, love and characters you just fall in love with! Highly recommend this for when you want a great romance to read. I received a copy under no obligation.

I read this because I'd enjoyed the Wyoming Rebels series so much. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in this. It was far too short, and as a result, the story got crammed in really fast. Now, while all the other books had people falling in love a little too fast, the books were enjoyable enough to forgive that. This one? Sorry. I find it hard to swallow insta-love after just a few hours!

For me, we just didn't get to know Wyatt much at all, and I found Noelle a little annoying. While the story was okay, I feel it would have been better as a longer book.

What a lot of whirlwind romance, suspense and action rolled up into a short story. It wasn't a full-length book, but it sure competes with one. Cowboy hotness, broken hearts and a pull between Wyatt and Noelle that pulled me right along with them. The ending left me happy and satisfied, yet not wanting to leave the characters. It's a good book when you're left sighing contently and wishing you didn't have to leave. Great read! Book gifted to me.

The book pulls you in from the first chapter. Wyatt is a bull rider who just found out that someone is trying to kill him. Noelle is a mystery write who is suffering from writer's block after the death of her husband. They meet when Noelle does a house swap.

My issue with the book was the abrupt ending. I liked the connection that Wyatt and Noelle had when they first met, but I felt their relationship needing more than just an hour before making the huge jump that it did.

Her Rebel Cowboy was just beautiful. Wyatt and Noelle were wonderfully developed characters. They may have moved towards love and forever in the blink of an eye, but I really connected with their stories. It was a wonderful plus to have a bit of intrigue and drama without dragging it out forever. Thankfully Lightening (horse) is safe through the making of the book.

I enjoyed this romance. Wyatt and Noelle are both in need of healing. They find each other and have this intense connection.

It is a very well-written story and I liked the characters. The author takes time to develop the characters. It may be short but it doesn't feel rushed or unfinished and I found the ending very satisfying.

Her Rebel Cowboy

Really enjoyed the story of Wyatt the bull riding cowboy trying to clear his name and Noelle the author who had lost the love of her life and had lost her will to write. She is stranded in a ditch with the rain coming down in buckets and hes riding his horse out checking fences when he sees her in trouble. A sweet love story.

Loved it!

Short yet so sweet! Loved the instant and intense emotion between Wyatt and Noelle. I was immediately drawn into their need for escaping the emotional hole they were each in.

Stephanie has a a style so easy to get lost in and I find myself wanting to be friends with her characters.

What a great Prequel to "A Rogue Cowboy" series

Totally enjoyed this quick read. Loved Wyatt and Noelle's story. Their meeting was fate and in the stars. They both needed each other to heal from their past. Great read I can't wait for the next installment "A Rogue Cowboy for her" or will it be "A Rogue Cowboy finds Love" either way it will be Brody's story YAY

Because this was a novella, the characters did not interact enough for my taste before falling for each other. In Rowe's Wyoming series, the leads develop their relationships a bit more realistically. That being said, still a good story and good conversations.
