This started out really great. Fantastic even. I love myself some cowboys and Simon was an interesting character right away. Simon is loving his life on the family farm, in fact he can't think of anything he would rather do. However, he's lonely. Being gay in Wyoming doesn't leave him with a lot of options and everything he wants is someone to have a life with. Build a family with. Enter Sean. Sean moved to Wyoming to get away from his parent. Together with his twin brother he's operating a thriving architect firm. He's sworn to never date a client but it's hard when he gets hired to draw some building for Simon and his family.
So far, so good. I was all there for it. Loved the setting, the MC's and the secondary characters. Sadly, it all went downhill from Simon and Sean meeting each other. And I mean, down, downhill. Not just a little. Suddenly everything changed. We got a time jump a month in the future and got told about Simon and Sean getting to know each other after it happened. And the time jumps just kept on coming. "Summer turned to spring", "two weeks later", "three weeks later", etc, etc. Around the 40% mark our MC's was together and steadier than ever. And I was silently wondering what would happen in the rest of the book. Turns out I don't need to read the rest of the books in the series (not that I was planning to either way), because I got everything told in this book but from the perspective of Simon and Sean.
Basically, this could've been a five star read but what started out great turned out feeling more like amateur fan fiction. This is an edited version... I can't imagine what it must have been reading the first version. However, just like a car crash I couldn't look away and finished this in one go. I'll give the author that.

Phew. I skimmed the last 10% because...I was exhausted and just over this couple. This book unfortunately did not work for me.
This book is nearly 400 pages and compared to most MM books, that is about 150 pages too much. This one could have used the cut.
Overall, I was curious about this author. I have had conversations with her several times and she is a sweetheart. And for a first time novel, this one had some good stuff and definitely set the stage for future stories. But there is no doubt that a lot can be learned from this first one.
1. Not every man in the book needs to be gay. I mean I love gay men but at some point good grief...I could use a straight character.
2. The entire story does not need to be told. We went from hook up to quick relationship development to moving in to meeting families to engagement to bachelor party to wedding to honeymoon, to an epilogue...which did not close anything but brought up more storylines about other characters. It just becomes too much. Much of the last 50% of this book could have been reduced.
3. While there was nothing overly irritating about these "Architects" there could be some improvements on what Architects actually do that would help readers like me avoid eye rolling. But for those who are not Architects, none of these items would matter to them at all.
4. I love getting glimpses of couples that will be brought forth in future books but this was painful. Too many instances of "I wonder what is going on there" or "I'll have to ask him what happened" only to get more questions and no answers. Yes, I get books are coming but this is rather painful as a reader, especially when the couples that interest you are books away. Introduce these characters but avoid drawing them too much into the current story or risk irritating your reader and drawing away from the main couple too much. I found myself more interested in wanting these future books than I was about this couple.
5. I wish there had been a Gay Romance Checklist of attributes, sexual positions, storylines, etc. attached to this book, because I think every box would be checked. We don't need everything. And the warning about Rape at the beginning was completely unnecessary because we never got anything more than "he was raped, beaten and stabbed". I assume when we finally get to this character's book we will get more. At least I hope so.
6. There is no need to overuse a character's name repeatedly in conversation between 2 people. I am talking to you, I don't need to use your name. This became irritating because how often do you really use a person's name when you are having a conversation with them. Very little.
7. Overall this couple was rather blah. There was no tension, no heartache, no dark past or anything. These were just 2 lovely men who loved each other. And we heard about it a lot. I just kinda lost interest.
Now all that said, will I continue? Yes. As I mentioned above, I am actually much more interested in these other couples who appear to have a little more grit to them than these characters did. Plus, I am eager to see how this author grows and develops. She has the abilities there is no doubt. I just hope she can structure her next book in a way that keeps me more engaged.

I've really been wanting to read this series for a while now. I've heard a lot about this series and this author and wanted to see what the hype was about. I have to say, I liked it. Im anxious to read the next ones, just to see what happens. I did have a few….qualms, I guess is a decent word. There were a few grammatical errors. Nothing really major and I only saw a few. My biggest thing was I think it was a bit too long. I loved how there were things happening everywhere. Not just with the 2 main MCs. It kinda sets everything up for the next books in the series. My 'issue’ was the story of the main characters themselves. It felt like it was overboard a bit. And I don't know if that's the right word. It just felt like too much being added, like stuffed almost to make the book longer. I don't want that to sound harsh, though, because the book is actually pretty good.
Sean and Simon were so sweet. Both severely attracted to each other. But Sean is so shy. Simon wants to be with him, but realizes he needs to take things a bit slow. they form a relationship that seems quick but to them is forever. But there's a lot happening in the loves of those around them and it puts a strain on everyone. They have to navigate through some very rough terrain to hopefully come out better on the other side.
These two were so cute. Just sweet. They both want forever. They aren't the one night types. Although, Simon has had some of those. But to make something last it takes work and it was something they both wanted. It was almost like a fairytale. It was everything around them that made it harder. Both of them were close to their families, so any turmoil going on in their lives affected them all. Especially when someone was hurt. It was nice to see families that actually supported each other.
I like that one of the families and one of the main characters was of Native American Descent. It's not seen a whole lot and I love it.
Overall, it's a good story. I am seriously wanting to see how the next books go with how they went in this book.

As much as I enjoyed the plot, I'm sure this book could've been half as long. After looking at the blurbs of the next books in this series, there's going over parts of upcoming books all the way to book 4. After the events of Christmas, it became a bit tiresome. Like, you know what's coming and will see it in the next book (or books) in the series, and maybe it didn't need to be told from the seconhand POV of either Sean or Simon.
I think I could've done with more exposition as far as "introducing the characters". I feel like that part was rushed and could've done with more beefing up. Especially as the characters will go over to the next books. There were times in which someone came or was mentioned and I had no clue who they were or how they were related to the main characters. It was a bit confusing and took me out of the book entirely at times.
I want to know what happens with all the couples, but I know by now I'll be seeing a lot of overlapping events the upcoming books. That takes a bit of the excitement out of it.

I was looking forward to this book for a while, I've been following it on Facebook. Did I love it? No, but I really liked it. I loved the M/C's, and the secondary characters also. The storyline was good and the setup for future books was well covered, maybe too much for one couple, so I'm assuming they will either be a novella or won't get a book at all, actually now I think about it there is graham also. On a personal note, I hate waiting, so whatever is going on with Rhett is driving me nuts (just sayin). The grammar drove me nuts at first, but the author explains it eventually by way of his nationality, it was still stilted and I hate reading it like that. Overall an enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to the next book, hopefully Rhett's.

Was this one story or 4? I think I know who's going to end up with who already. I know what happens to 3 of the main characters. I mean, WTF? Couldn't those story lines happen in THEIR book? Simon and Sean's book was WAY too long. So much was repetition and filler and the overuse of names! GAH! My pet peeve. People don't talk that way. I skimmed so many of the sex scenes on top of sex scenes.
I'm not sure if I'll be continuing on in this series, because I basically know what's going to happen. But, I might pick up the spin off series to see if anything has changed.

I enjoyed Sean and Simon's story however, I found it long and at times skimming the pages.

Gemeinsam mit seinem Zwillingsbruder Jasper hat sich der Architekt Sean Welsh von seiner reichen Familie abgenabelt und ist mit ihm nach Wyoming gezogen um dort ein eigenes Business aufzubauen. Und es scheint den Zwillingen auch zu gelingen. Sie bekommen einen großen Auftrag bei der Familie Redfeather, die Pferde und Rinder züchten. Die Redfeathers haben drei Söhne, von denen vor allem Simon Sean ins Auge sticht. Doch Sean ist sehr schüchtern – ganz im Gegensatz zu seinem Bruder Jasper – und will Privatleben und Business erst gar nicht vermischen.
Simon fühlt sich sofort zu Sean hingezogen und lässt nichts unversucht um mit Sean zu flirten. Doch der ist wirklich eine harte Nuss und kaum zu knacken. Doch Jasper ermutigt Simon nicht lockerzulassen und er redet auch Sean gut zu dem attraktiven Rancher eine Chance zu geben.
Die Geschichte wird sehr leicht und amüsant erzählt. Sean und Simon sind extrem sympathische Helden und es gibt auch sehr viele Nebenakteure, da Simons Familie sehr groß ist. Auch Sean hat Familie und die ist sehr ungewöhnlich, denn er ist mit zwei Väter aufgewachsen und es gibt auch noch Rhett, den dritten Welsh-Bruder.
Die Story wird abwechselnd aus der Sicht von Sean und Simon erzählt. Dabei kommt es aber zu keinen Wiederholungen und man bekommt einen guten Einblick in die Dynamik ihrer Beziehung, aber auch ihre Persönlichkeit und Gefühlswelt wird gut erklärt. Beide Männer stehen ihren Familien sehr nahe und erfahren viel Unterstützung von diesen.
Es gibt auch ein paar kleine Schwächen im Plot, auch wenn es die Autorin sicher gut gemeint hat. So legt sie schon Spuren und Grundsteine für die nächsten Teile der Reihe. Leider verliert sie dabei manchmal das eigentliche Paar aus den Augen. Aber zum Glück findet sie immer wieder zu Simon und Sean zurück.
Der kleine Crime-Anteil ist ebenfalls eine Art Ausgangspunkt für die Fortsetzungen, allerdings fehlen dem Leser hier irgendwie ein paar Erklärungen und vor allem Aufklärung über einen bestimmten Menschen, der viel Aufruhr und Leid verursacht. Möglich, dass dies dann in den Folgebänden irgendwie aufgeklärt wird. Ich hoffe es. Neben dem Romantik-Anteil ist auch der Erotik-Anteil sehr hoch. Das sollte der neugierige Leser bedenken, ehe er zu dieser Geschichte greift. Allerdings hat Taylor Rylan das ganz gut gemacht und keine der Szenen ist geschmacklos oder langweilig.

First.. Hello hot cover!!
Simon is a rancher with a law degree at 30 and is ready to settle down. While he works with his family, they all seem to have degrees in something else as well as run their ranch and I assume they’ll all get a story, but this one is Simon’s. While this is a cute story and a bit long it’s still cutesy given that these boys both take to one another right away.
Sean is a well known architect, in business with his brother Jasper. Jasper, I wasn’t a fan of in the beginning… he seemed douchey and had no respect for Sean in their shared living space. That put me off immediately… I also found it a bit unbelievable that with two dads, all three sons turned out gay. I’m sure it happens, don’t get me wrong and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it…obviously… but, it’s just not something that you find happening, normally. I dunno, I’m being too critical, I know.
While I’m being that way, I’ll also mention the overuse of one’s name in this, drove me bananas! “Hello, Simon, how are you Simon? I’m well Sean, thank you, Sean. How are you today, Sean?” Why? Just, why? Am I being too irritable? Perhaps, but man, did it drive me crazy!!
Then we hit the halfway mark and I expected the cute story to end with a nice little HEA and maybe a hint of the next story, but then a bunch of random stuff got thrown in…. kidnapping and blackmail? It was all a big stretch and was just so unnecessary, in my opinion. Also, if anyone follows my reviews at all, it’s no secret that I HATE when the bad guy gets away with being the bad guy. I need karmic justice!
Overall though, even though this seems kind of ranty… the story between Sean and Simon was a cute one and I’m glad they ended up happy and together. This is my first by this author and I’m not sure about the second one, because like I said, I’m wasn’t a fan of Jasper, but…. I’ll admit, I’m curious enough to check it out.

Sean is a well known architect, in business with his brother Jasper. Jasper, I wasn’t a fan of in the beginning… he seemed douchey and had no respect for Sean in their shared living space. That put me off immediately… I also found it a bit unbelievable that with two dads, all three sons turned out gay. I’m sure it happens, don’t get me wrong and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it…obviously… but, it’s just not something that you find happening, normally. I dunno, I’m being too critical, I know.
While I’m being that way, I’ll also mention the overuse of one’s name in this, drove me bananas! “Hello, Simon, how are you Simon? I’m well Sean, thank you, Sean. How are you today, Sean?” Why? Just, why? Am I being too irritable? Perhaps, but man, did it drive me crazy!!
Then we hit the halfway mark and I expected the cute story to end with a nice little HEA and maybe a hint of the next story, but then a bunch of random stuff got thrown in…. kidnapping and blackmail? It was all a big stretch and was just so unnecessary, in my opinion. Also, if anyone follows my reviews at all, it’s no secret that I HATE when the bad guy gets away with being the bad guy. I need karmic justice!
Overall though, even though this seems kind of ranty… the story between Sean and Simon was a cute one and I’m glad they ended up happy and together. This is my first by this author and I’m not sure about the second one, because like I said, I’m wasn’t a fan of Jasper, but…. I’ll admit, I’m curious enough to check it out.

This is a new-to-me author so it's always exciting picking up a new book from an author you've never read before. When I read the blurb it just sounded like it was going to be an interesting read. I'm glad I took the chance on it as I adored Simon and Sean. I love how the author started the build up on their relationship.
As much as I adored this couple and would have liked to give this a better rating, I think that Taylor Rylan could have added more details and/or just more in general about the main characters as opposed to cramming other events into this one story. That kind of took away some of the main characters shine. I felt like their relationship was rushed over to get to other aspects and setups for the next couple or couples to come.
Another irk that I had was all the name dropping. Every sentence I felt like they were saying each other's names in conversation. It's like ok we know who your talking to, we get it! No need to say a person's name five to six times in a single conversation. It was a bit much.
Overall, this author has some great ideas and story lines. The characters from the main to secondary were all very well written. I am looking forward to reading more from this series as the other characters have certainly captured my attention. Simon and Sean's journey was sweet, sexy and a very enjoyable read that left me with a smile on my face.

DNF @ 16%.
In general, I don't enjoy cowboy/farmer/rancher type stories, but every once in a while, I happen to really enjoy one, so I like to give the odd one a chance now and then.
The premise of this isn't too bad. And other than some editing issues (typos, punctuation, capitalizing things that don't need to be), the writing isn't too bad.
What makes this a DNF for me is the dialogue. It's so stiff and unnatural, even between family and friends. Sean and Jasper talk to each other like acquaintances who don't like each other but are in a setting where they have to be polite to each other.... not like brothers and best friends. Simon talks to his brothers, parents and friends in much the same manner.
Also, the one cover model looks more Greek than Native American to me. If it wasn't for the surname Redfeather or it being mentioned that the Native American blood was quite obvious with their raven black hair and deep tans, I would never think Simon was Native American from the appearance of the model on the cover.... and having models that don't resemble the character is always a bit annoying.

Absolutely awesome
You nailed it for me. Your first book checked all of my boxes. I couldn't put it down. So many different characters to write other books for. I REALLY hope this is going to be a long series. So looking forward to next book. Hope it's not too long a wait. You did good.

This was a solid 2.
I am a fan of MM. I have read some incredible MM books lately, so I suppose I had high hopes trying out this (new to me) author. Clearly, I wasn't overly impressed.
The writing needs work. The way some of her sentences are formed is just painful. For example, at the 28% mark -
The actual plot was not bad, I mean it was engaging enough to keep me from adding this to my DNF shelf, so I'll give it props for that. There are grammatical errors here and there but not too many. However, the awful way she forms some sentences and the fact that she repeats facts over and over again - just in case we forget I suppose - is what truly killed it for me. Two kids in the book, tiny small characters, yet we're told over and over, chapter after chapter how old they are. Why ? Who cares? They play no part at all in the story !!!
Honestly, this author needs a lot of work perfecting her writing style and sentence structure. I mean, after you finish this book, if you haven't already, read a Sloane Kennedy one, you will see the HUGE difference.

When you least expect it....
Sean is ready to settle down. His twin Jasper is the wild twin, hoping from man to man.
Simon has hit thirty and while not opposed to going to a club, he too is ready to settle down. He runs a ranch with his family.
One night while at the club he spies a very good looking man. A man who seems to have found someone for the night. Disappointed, he heads home. The next morning he has meetings with architects to plan a new arena.
The next morning not only does he see the man from the club, but his clone! They are the ones designing and building the arena and out lying buildings.
Come to find out, Sean isn't a wild man like his twin brother but he also doesn't think it's wise to get involved with a client no matter how strong the attraction is between them.
Reading this book left me wanting more. For a new author on the market, she did extremely well. I jumped right into her second book and can not wait for book three.

I saw this book floating around on Facebook, so, one day I purchased it and read it. Simon and Sean are two men, who, quite honestly, could not be more different. Simon works on the ranch with his family. Sean and his twin brother are contract's who get hired for a project at the ranch. For quite some time Sean has felt like he needs to take a different path with his life-not his job, but just with his life. He's living with his brother, who likes to have one night stand after one night stand.
So, when they land the Redfeather job, this gives him the opportunity to move closer to work, and be on his own. He didn't bargain for Simon, and these two are a lust at first sight followed closely by love. Of course, their relationship is not without it's ups and downs, but for the most part, moved along flawlessly. Did I love the book, no...but I did enjoy it :)

Ok the story was good but
No one likes a story that's told to them with no "real time". I want to read the story while it's happening and be a part of it. Minimal dialogue which was frustrating. Poor Liam only had one line in the whole book...we were left wondering to outside events which we now know will be repeated over and over as each brother gets his story. Already scenes were duplicated because we heard from Sean and we would hear it in the next chapter to have Simon re-tell it. I will go to the next book in the series and hope we get more " real time" and hope practice makes perfect..

Couldn't finish it
I'm sorry but I just couldn't finish the book. It was really good until about the half way point, then for some reason the author pretty much starts a new book about another couple. I think this book should have ended around the scene at Christmas then maybe a couple of chapters wrapping up their relationship and setting up the next book. I would have liked to have read Rhett's story but too much of it was told in this book. I think it would be too long and drawn out like this book was. The author does have good potential but there is too much "narrating" from the characters. I'd rather be showed the story than just told.

Sweet Romance!
A proper romance with no angst (I know!) but dramatic side characters issues is apart this love story between Sean & Simon. I liked the MCs and slow sweet love connection.
However, there were issues story such as poor editing/ typos, the underdevelopment, highly dramatic segment involving the Rhett, Sean’s brother. Then, at the end there’s another dramatic bit regarding Simon’s brother.
It seems like the author tried to pack too much in this one story. I’m believe part of the reason was to get the read to the next book in this series.

I wanted to like it
But I bailed at about 30%. I couldn’t get over the dialogue. It wasn’t natural and trying to claim he was talking proper because of his English father was a stretch at best. It really just seemed to be an excuse for bad dialogue. I’ve read books where characters have accents and no one has attempted to do it this way. It just pulled me out of the story to much to enjoy.

DNF At 56 % I finally gave up. I wanted to like this story. The writing style was not for me. The dialogue was more explaining than conversations between the MC. I liked that the author used Native American heritage as the main characters. Although, it was hard to overlook the flaws in their character development.

Not sure what this story was about.
While Ms Rylan is very discriptive, the plot was rather thin. If this was a love story she seemed to fly past the build up, making it hard to believe the characters. There is lots of potential, just not a lot of development.

Oh man that was a painful read. I loved the characters and really want to read more but the writing style is absolutely horrible.

DNF at 17%
At the beginning of the book, MC1 sees MC2’s twin brother at a club and later jerks off to thoughts of him. The next day, MC1 meets MC2 and his twin brother, and finds both of them attractive. I’m sorry, but if I’m in a relationship, I don’t want my partner to be attracted to and to have jerked off to my sibling. The scenario is justified by the fact that they are identical twins, as if that makes them interchangeable. I was just weirded out by the whole thing.
One of the first conversations that the MCs have, one of the MCs basically picks on the other one in an underhanded way, and it was a huge turn off. It’s ultimately what made me DNF, combined with the fact that the writing quality was pretty poor. Excerpts from said conversation:
“Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever heard you talk so much since we had our first meeting. Since you seem to finally be in a talkative mood let’s keep going, shall we?” “Umm…” “See, now that right there isn’t what I’m after.”
“Is everything okay?” Simon inquired. “What do you mean?” “Well, for starters you’re looking at the ground and it’s kinda rude, don’t you think?”
“Do you always talk like that?” “Talk like what?” “So proper. ‘They’re going well. We’re on schedule as of right now, and I hope to remain that way.’ Do you ever loosen up? I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s cute, but just seems formal at times.”

Simon works with horses at his family's large Wyoming ranch. He's never been the type to sleep around, but he's 30 years old now and realizes that he's lonely. He's ready to find his forever man, but he lives in a fairly remote area, so it may be difficult. When he spots an attractive man at a bar, he goes in to make a move, but gets sidetracked and goes home. He's surprised the next day to see the man again at a business meeting with his identical twin, Sean. He finds that he's much more attracted to the whole package of Sean than his twin. It feels like something potentially serious.
Sean is also not one for the hook-up culture and he also is ready to settle down. When he first lays eyes on Simon, he's immediately attracted. It takes them a little while to communicate and sort out their mutual interests, but once they do, their relationship takes off.
This book is also a set-up for the series, so there are a lot of side stories with many other characters. Also, the book is in need of some editing, as there are more errors than typical. The book has a lot of passion, a deep commitment, and a beautiful love.

I really enjoyed this book. The connection between Simon and Sean was there right from their first meeting. Yes, their relationship is pretty much insta-love but at least their was some angst throughout the book especially with Rhett’s friend Liam being attacked by his ex-boyfriend, then said ex-boyfriend subsequently kidnapped Rhett as well as all the other stuff he put Rhett through while he held him which all added to the story as it brought both the Redfeather’s and the Walsh’s that much closer as they banded together to work out what happened to Rhett. It was heartbreaking what happened to them both, and they both deserve happiness and love. It was good to see as the relationship with Simon and Sean progressed the more out of his shell Sean became. I loved the relationship between the brother’s. I’m looking forward to reading Jasper and Liam’s story next since we got a very small snippet at the end of this story. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
