In Miami, the sun is hot and the crime is hotter with this trio of hard-hitting tales of crime scene investigation in the steamy setting of palm trees, bronzed bodies and hot lead. Miami-Dade police Lt. Horatio Caine and his crew of CSIs deal with stray bullets, wayward spouses, and counterfeiters as they examine the clues and bring the guilty to justice.

Brevity improves the tales greatly compared to those set in the desert and the big city. Three unconnected stories each told in a brisk 40 pages or so. And after 10 tales one of these has the first black murderer in CSI graphic novel history, so that's worth a little something.
A fairly interesting collection of stories. I did find these stories particularly predictable, though that is probably down to the amount of CSI media I have consumed. I would like to say the first story was clever but I did see the twist coming, it was a bit too obvious. I think the story would have been better if the killer was someone else but obviously there isn't the time frame to have several suspects. I liked the second story, it was a clever link of two murders, I think there was more CSI-ing in this story which made it more interesting. The third story felt a bit too short for me, there wasn't a big explanation of the crime at the end which didn't help. Overall, I enjoyed reading this collection.
